Faces: Adam's Journey to Judaism

my name is adam mitschak polanowski where i grew up there was little to no jewish community i grew up like i like to call less than reform my parents are from the former ussr they never had a yiddish kite said they couldn't give me much but they still had a very strong intrinsic jewish pride that they instilled within me so throughout my life i had this very strong base of muna until i really started asking questions and my young teens which eventually led me down a long arduous path of many things from agnosticism to atheism to theism to the spiritual journey and slowly but surely eventually that my way back to my roots is to tell a story of the value of questions when i was getting ready for my bar mitzvah i was around 12 and a half or so my father asked me how's it going how are you preparing and i'd already had a couple of lessons with my grandmother learning the olive base and so i said you know it's going okay but thing is i don't want this i'm not jewish there's no god and i don't want a bar mitzvah and in his great wisdom he says to me good for you the fact that you're asking questions means that you're jewish because jews ask questions until their deathbed and he said mark my words you will come full circle and i heeded his calling i never stopped asking questions i went on my journey which was long and painful but in hindsight it was very sweet and i was very loving from hashem i came to orsamer in september 2018 to build a strong foundation to build the jewish home that i envisioned and to pursue a long-term goal of a rabbinic path i myself actually started here on the j-1-1 program say 101 is exactly what it sounds like judaism 101. it's like for those who want to get their feet wet and find out what it is or smear has provided me first slow mature path into growing and it's been made quite clear to me given my study so far that it never ends and it's so exciting they really instilled this sense of yearning and enjoyment as we call it geshemak to learn and uh you
