Facebook defeated by Social Network UPSTART in "Views-per Post"! Shocking!

as you know I helped found Shabbat comm the largest Jewish social network in the world a number of years ago and it's been growing ever since and one of the things that people always ask me is how many members do you have and do people actually look at the posts that are posted because let's say you post something you really want people to see it so we want two things what can we post and we know we have all these friends on Facebook so people are gonna see our posts of live Oh a beautiful picture or a new video or an idea we posted and we have people who watch it and those people will share it they will like it they'll comment on it so I always think people should be posting on Shabbat calm and especially if you've got a post anyways on Facebook you may as well do it on Shabbat calm as well so here's the good news we've added views to Shabbat calm just like Facebook has but I think we've done it even better than them and what I want to do is I want to take just for a few minutes to show you how when you take a moment and you post on Shabbat calm more people will see your post then when you post on your wall on Facebook that's a guarantee okay now let me just show you a demonstration yesterday I posted a little funny video called the Superbowl of challenge there's a little funny video we made a few years ago for Shabbat that helped and I posted it at the same time on Facebook as I did on Shabbat okay I want to show you the results and here they are this is my computer here and here is Facebook Super Bowl oh child over here so chomp was seen the by 535 okay did you see it 535 now let me just explain something to you 535 I have the maximum number of friends that you could have on Facebook I have 5,000 friends also 10,000 followers so if I post something it should really be out there we should have thousands of people watching but we don't you've got 535 now maybe there wasn't so interesting so I posted 535 that posted the exact same time on Shabbat calm okay let me refresh my page over here and on Shabbat that calm the exact same post has been seen by 819 819 people saw this versus 535 on Facebook this will always be the case Shabbat calm will give you more eyeballs than facebooking on 22 why that is we are a non-profit we just want Jewish people to connect and therefore we don't throttle your poses when you post something we let the entire Jewish world see and therefore more and more and more people are gonna see it on Facebook not only do they throttle your post so like me I have 5,000 friends on Facebook plus 10,000 followers but all 15,000 are not seeing my posts are not being notified they're not gonna see it they allow in a minut amount of my friends to know that I posted it Shabbat account does not do that we want posts to be seen and therefore more people will end up seeing it more than that on Facebook if you're not getting likes or views eventually you won't end up on any feed Shabbat comm will keep you there and your posts will keep growing let me give you an example there is a person who posted their art on Shabbat calm his name is mortified Adel where he does a wonderful wonderful artist and I encouraged him to post and now that we show views he can see how many people have watched have looked at his post I've seen in his paintings now he posted the the view started on Thursday so since Thursday you just want to show you this water fight you dolls painting okay how many people sixteen thousand eight hundred and fifty-six a painting sixteen thousand nearly 17,000 people have seen his paintings and not only that but Mordecai told me since he posted his painting on schwab.com he's already gotten two orders for paintings from members who have seen his art now that's remarkable so you may think well Facebook's got billions of people and small networks like shall not become hundred thousand people how many people are gonna see it but it's not true because we don't throttle we allow everyone to see it you're gonna have more eyeballs seeing it so let's say you've got something important to post you want to share something yeah post on Facebook a great another few hundred people's here unless of course you pay their money and that a lot of people will see it Shabbat that calm you don't have to pay you just post and you will see within seconds people will see it they'll be commenting they'll be liking the posts are very open it's like open source posting it's really really unique it's remarkable another anecdotal story I have a sister because a very famous speaker her name is rifka Malka Perlman Ruth chemical compound our website it's amazing and she's very influential on Facebook and I told her look why don't you post on Shabbat calm now a lot of people have been argh I don't want to post there I want to post I'll get the biggest bang for my buck if I post on a social network that people won't see my post what's the point I said just post you'll see a lot of people will see it account post something and amaze yourself by the response that you get it's all about responses all about feedback amazed yourself so one last thing we sort of gamified the views now because we want people to post interesting posts and therefore if your post was seen by 500 or more people you get a half star and the words come out and greet a little bit bigger it says five hundred and twenty four people viewed it and you get a half star if a thousand people viewed it you get a full star if five thousand people viewed it then the star turns to silver if ten thousand people were interested in your post imputed then your star turns to gold then 50,000 people saw your post the star turns into trophy and you one Shabbat calm but ever that supposed to mean okay so it's a little bit game of fine and you can see for example going back here that she has roof cometh get more than a thousand people so instead of just saying views it's got it in green and it's got views it's in green and you could see the artists who but it was painting he broke ten thousand so he ready his is already in gold and he is now going for more just to show you how quickly this works these are people who are just posting now this person posted nine minutes ago and they already have 46 views it's all about eyeballs we each have something important to say we want to share we have a Jewish network that works it literally works people go on this they like they view the content they share they get inspired if you're gonna already post on Facebook why not go on to Shabbat calm and post as well you will get more people watching commenting and viewing then you will on Facebook
