Exclusive Gourmet Glatt Lakewood Interview

[Music] hi this is parents B kler and we're here today with the Lakewood school at former shoppr Plaza with founder and chairman of gourm glot H C casy we're delighted to have you here in Lakewood tell us what are the plans for Gourmet glant what's going to be happening and what can the population of Lakewood expect well we'll go back a little bit uh we started uh gy glad about eight years ago the concept was to bring up the entire level of quality value in kasas in the um Jewish retail experience and we've opened up several stores which barash have proven out to do that really super quality really great value in terms of pricing in terms of um um Quality presentation quality selection and in each community that we go to we're very cognizant of the community itself the needs of the community the population that we're addressing and we are very careful and very focused on serving that community so obviously in coming to Lakewood which has such a diverse um and quality Jewish and and kulture eating uh um constituents here we are very fortunate to have found this this beautiful great store it's going to be the largest store that we ever had and we're going to be able to serve really really great values to the community our purchasing power is quite is quite great um our consideration to the community in terms of the um pricing in terms of selection in terms of the various kous um modalities that are needed for the different constituents of this community so all those things are what going into our plans which is what's taking us time right now as we're repositioning the store it's a very big store uh we're positioning it so that we could serve all the needs of the entire High Community um and um we're very excited about it I think that this store is going to be able to uh really bring value uh to the community in of Lakewood many people would be wondering hesy that in terms of the stores which already in existence people are saying is there really need for another large store obviously the virgin in Lakewood Community would indicate yes so what would you say in terms of the value and other things what you're going to bring here that people should be aware of that would be beneficial to the community well our experience has been as we've opened up stores in different communities that the kosher eating and the and the um from our Ked Community is just growing at a pace that the the needs are not going to be serviced by what's currently available a community like Lakewood where um there's so many thousands of families and so many thousands of additional families and and today with the growth that's going on in conr construction and all the outling areas uh we feel that we're going to be absorbed very quickly we've done this in other communities where people have said well you're coming into the community is there saturation no a community like this can take several more Stores um and uh also in our style of bringing multiple stores into one location and bringing multiple different uh um vendors in there we we have a strategy of bringing the best of the best so in a store like this you'll have the best deli and the best food and the best meat and the best fish and the best uh appetizing so all that together is something that we believe Lakewood is not yet experienced but will also give a customer a consumer an ability to do One-Stop shopping to go to one place and to to get everything they need I understand that many people used to come to shop ride for some cheap prices and they'd go other places for some Specialties what we're doing here is saying it's all going to be in one place top-of-the-line casers top-of-the-line values and prices top-of-the-line selection and also unbelievable service one thing we're very careful with is service we really are interested in servicing in the community we believe that kosher Shoppers deserve um a quality service experience we believe that they they they deserve a clean environment a highly uh attentive kind of service um it's interesting you should mention that because when I was in the store in the five towns I remember looking for something and a Gentleman came up to me and said what are you looking for I was looking for a particular type of column he said oh we had that over here and over here and it was like it was a personal guide walking me through I thought that was a very interesting thing yeah I think I think that we really in um introduced that in kosher Arena where kosher consumers are you know are um deserving of Quality quality service and that's another thing that's going to be one of the Hallmarks of this stour so we're very excited about it looking forward to it there's a lot of work to do as you can see we took a big store and we're repositioning it in a very beautiful way so um we're very excited to get to the finish line and opening this up to the community what would you like the community to know in one sentence cie catho founder and chairman what would you like the community to know would be the raise on Detra the purpose and the mission of gourmet BL I'd like the community to just get ready for a
