[Music] as we mentioned not once and not twice and i don't think it really needs to be mentioned but the world is under a lot of stress right now if in the past i would get uh bombarded with messages how bad the situation now it's quadruple if that's how you say it that things are getting worse people are really falling into fear despair losing hope confusion every day it seems like yesterday was better and it's now going worse and worse kind of like a whirlpool into the gutter becoming stronger and stronger and needless to say most people are we say it in hebrew of their thoughts in english the translation is kind of like wandering from side to side looking for some type of an answer and when you try to draw answers from too many sources and you get even more confused because person a says this another person says that then most people are completely lost and most uh uh the biggest problem is that people fall into either a state of despair totally loses their uh their life force their joy and happiness and then from there the way is going faster and faster to go down and most people cannot find solutions i've said many times it's not up to you to find a solution don't think you're going to have a solution this is not what you are required right now is to find a solution i told you now you have to switch the mode into a survival mode what you do on the phone to airplane mode now you're on survival mode today we're going to talk about something that on the surface seems very simple and minor but is really what is the only way to change the situation in the reality to not only give a person hope which is most what most people need is to bring you back into some type of a state of joy and happiness and more than that to be fulfilled feel life insecurity not to be in fear not to worry and it's not so simple because right now the we explained that last week the darkness in the world is becoming thicker and thicker yes last week we explained that it's a very good life that when we see now asap in full force coming in front of us to destroy us then first of all you prepare for war we try to already peace that doesn't work with asav you prepare for war as much as it sounds like doomsday or armageddon yeah you're preparing for more and the ones who don't prepare for war are going to be caught with their pants down some of them will be literally literally want to strive that i have more merits more good deeds than sins alone and bad deeds why because it's going to affect me one way or another here we have two opinions one opinion is by rashi that it says if you have more mitzvot more good deeds which means the the the good in me the merits is overpowering which that's what you want to strive for here it says in the talmud how the interpretation of the talmud saying that sometimes you have a good day sometimes you have a bad day this also can be explained in many different ways but as they say in english they say you win some you lose some sometimes it's good sometimes it's bad in arabic there's a saying well it's a potato and bastille is a onion one they read this one day you eat that either way you're looking at it there's the approach is that sometimes it's good sometimes it's bad in the talmud it says a good day and a bad day so rashi says if you say you have more mitzvot more good deeds then it will be a good day in the world in this world and a good day in the world to come that's how it works you have more merit so of course we'll be good in both directions kind of like what we just learned now with rambam you do it will be good you do bad we'll be bad so hashi's approach is if you have more merits you follow more the torah more learning more good deeds and actions and so forth then the good day you'll experience much more good days in this world and much more good days so to say in the world to come but if you have more sins because a lot of people they do mitzvot they follow the torah they do acts of kindness but they have a lot of sins according to rashi if you have a lot a lot of sins what's going to happen you're going to get paid for it in this world now that can come in two different ways sometimes you see a wicked person that does a lot of bad things and they have a lot of money and they have success they're never sick everything looks good and i say wait a minute this person is a wicked individual everything is good for them why so according to russia's opinion hashem pays them in this world for the little bit good that they do but in the world to come they have nothing they cannot come in the world to come and say listen i need to get rewarded for the good things that i did so the heavenly court will say but we already paid you down there you had wealth you had success you were famous you were never sick nothing went bad we paid you already so sometimes even for having more sins you get paid in this world what do you get paid for for the good things that you did and that's him we're done we don't owe you anything and when it says a good day and a bad day what's the bad day that when that person will come to the world to come they have nothing so according to the sins it can be both good in this world and also good in the world to come this is a different opinion how could it be that i do a lot of bad things and i still get good in this world but now let's with this two types of opinions let's continue and see what he says it says first of all yakov prayed to the master of the universe if all sorts of inflictions are going to come on my kids which not only the physical kids that he had in that situation all his kids meaning all the rest of the generations a lot of you terms of jose don't bring them one after the other which is kind of uh let's stop would be depressed unhappy that's what happens with most people so you know what a merit you need to hashem to open your eyes you have to pray for that so with the outcome also forget about ignore the
