hi everyone jacob friends here
this is my first official tutorial
and i don't claim to be a classical
guitarist
um mostly self-taught i did a take a few
lessons just to see if i was on the
right track on on classical lessons i
should say
so i'd like to show you this little
etude this little piece
again i don't know who made it
uh but it's quite easy fingering wise
and if you're a intermediate guitarist
you will have no trouble doing it so
let's do that and we will use the thumb
and index middle and ring finger
as our fingers
the strings of course is this is the
first string
uh the easter high e the second string
is the b string the third string is the
g string and the fourth string is the d
string those are the only strings we're
going to be using for this
so
what we start off with
is we put
our index finger second second string
first finger the index finger second
string
on the sixth fret
and that would make a
f
on the b string would make an f
note right
so that's f
then we put our middle finger or the
second finger of the left hand
on the
seventh fret
and
that g that on that g string
it creates a d it should be a d
yeah that's a d so
so you have force that's
it okay that's what your pattern is one
and two and three and
so this is a three-quarter rhythm
one and two and three and one and two
and three and
that is your
uh you do that three times so we'll go
through that one and two and three and
one and two and three and then the third
time one and two and three and now is
where you switch you go
one two three on the strings
one two three one two three twice so
it's
[Music]
two
three
that is the entire pattern
everything stays the same from that
almost the the entire time
um
so again
your index finger on the sixth fret
second string
and your middle finger left hand
is the g string on the seventh fret and
we're gonna go one and two and three and
that's the first
second time around one and two and three
and one and two and three and
[Music]
now you add your ring finger on the left
hand
on the d string
which is a
b flat
and it is
this is your so you do the same pattern
one and two and three and one and two
and three and one and two and three and
backwards
keep that fingering
then you add your pinky
on your left left hand fourth finger
and you add it on the b string now you
really could take
you could really take
your index finger off if you want
but i would leave it there
because it's really no reason to be
there on on this part of the pattern but
i think
uh if you keep your index finger on the
b string as well it'll just help for
when you go to the next pattern so then
this repeats again one and two and three
and one and two and three and one and
two and three and backwards
then you go down
and do like an f major like you would do
over here but on the fifth fret which
becomes an a
[Music]
that's twice
it doesn't go three times and then you
go to your original position
[Music]
like that or you could do whatever you
want make up your own thing so
i decided to um
use this as an exercise to
get my
fingers in shape
to play faster and i started out at a
certain rhythm
and i over the past week or 10 days i
increased it i was only able to go to
approximately
not comfortably
now i'm
just below 170
able to 170. so if you practice you
should get stronger now i practice two
ways i practice the regular way i also
practice
doing it
louder and softer
[Music]
and you could slow down the rhythm speed
it up but we're going to practice now
with the metronome so
right now i believe my metronome is
on
60. we're going to go together
on a metronome of 60. i suggest you use
a metronome that's what i've been using
it also helps keep your rhythm
and your fingering
more solidly again this is my opinion
and i wouldn't i wouldn't i would bet on
it that any good teacher would tell you
the same thing so let's try together one
two
three
one
two
and
one and two and three and one and two
and three and one and two and three and
backwards
one and two and three and
add the pinky
it's hard to go too slow
but it's a good practice to practice
twice only this time
[Music]
okay let's speed this up okay now we're
at 70.
one
two three
one
two and
[Music]
okay that's 70. we're at 90 now one two
three one two and one and two and three
and one and two and three and
[Music]
do
[Music]
okay that's sounding a lot better
now we're gonna
jump to 110. one two three one two and
[Music]
here i made a little mistake in the
rhythm that because my nails probably
caught the string uh i haven't figured
that out how long the nails should be
should not but i try to get fl at least
on this guitar some flesh with some nail
now let's go to a we are 110 let's go to
130 and i think that's the sweet spot of
this song one two three one two and
[Music]
okay let's try 140 now and we'll go in
increments of 10.
this is where it gets a little harder
now one two three one two and
[Music]
do
[Music]
okay let's do now 150. now it's getting
tougher one two three one two and
[Music]
okay now we're going to try 155. this is
where i get a little started getting
sometimes i get it right sometimes they
don't 160 sometimes
and i'm working on getting it clean
cleanly of course i can get sloppy i
might be sloppy let's see one two three
one two and
[Music]
a little sloppy over there that's where
i really have to work on getting this
uh this cleanly let's go a little faster
anyway give it a try
one two three one two and
[Music]
it's really tough
so i'm gonna stop over there because i'm
not so clean on this
okay this ends
the tutorial
and i hope you enjoyed it
