about to get on a bus to a lot and from
there when it cross over to Egypt and do
something really really awesome today so
stay tuned
okay good morning good morning right I'm
hearing a lot with a friend who chooses
not to be named and we are gonna do
something really epic today I'm gonna go
to Mount Sinai or we're where they say
it is we can't really know for sure but
we're gonna go into Egypt from here and
go down sign there when your climate I'm
not really gonna climb it I'm gonna take
camels and then it's gonna be fun
right now we're getting pizza really
yummy and so
we are lekar the way to Egyptian order
reminds me to get rid of these guys
[Music]
I forgot to leave Israel and cross into
Egypt I'm probably gonna have to turn
off the camera here because I can't film
by the border see you later okay
right here just getting in just a flag
behind me and we're so we're here with
you hub say hi hi how you doing so glad
to meet you thanks very excited
and you're funny okay so we're finally
in Egypt officially right here behind me
there's a tourist police car and we're
just getting our bags into the car and
we're gonna take the about two and a
half hour drive to st. Catherine super
super excited I've been working on
coming on this trip for probably six or
seven years now never worked out for me
so finally this time it's going to work
out yeah
in my favorite picture
so we just stopped the side of the road
the background is saladin island don't
buy the Caliph of the Muslims Saladin he
was syrian originally and he's about the
13th century amazing really beautiful
islands and one day I'm gonna come back
and visit them take a boat over there
so we are where are we now
asada it is so beautiful here so so
beautiful there's nothing just nothing
here just desert and Road and Tommy
where are you oh there you are wow so
beautiful towers area let's see it look
at this beauty we're here for sunset in
the valley and sanity I'm so thankful
that I'm able to be here just we didn't
even get to Mount Sinai and I just want
to be in this place in Basking the
colors and the shadows Wow
so we just stopped to take some pictures
and now the drivers are telling us that
they're having like their fast is gonna
be over because it's wrong with that so
two minutes two minutes Ramadan Kareem
to everybody all Muslims around the
world around that area so we just
arrived we just arrived at the Bedouin
hostel so we're gonna be staying muscle
would camp and they're about to serve us
some tea check this place out look look
how nice it is oh yeah I will I got
these low sort of couches on the floor
got like a thatched roof and some cool
instruments to make noise with the wind
that's cool it was a really hot day but
it got cooler now and we're just
enjoying the night hopefully we'll be
able to get some shut-eye as well
because we have to start at about 2:00
a.m.
we can start the climate about 2:00 a.m.
so hopefully we'll get some sleep
let's have some tea now and this is your
beginning thank you so much for the tea
honey try how do you say and which
I say quite oh it smells good you put
some special herbs in there yeah a
little bit delicious delicious tea we
just got our rooms let me show you
[Applause]
quiet little place the linen on the beds
says Chanel I'm sure this is Chanel
linen looks very authentic yeah anyhow
little place no a/c it's kind of hot in
here there's a fan and additionally
there's a little bathroom with a semi
shower show you that sort of a shower
little toilet sink so not too bad
we're only sleeping here for like about
four hours or so so should be fine and
yeah then again I've got 1:30 the
morning God willing and we're gonna
climb up the mountain by camel see you
there good evening okay so it's about a
quarter to 2:00 in the morning we just
got about two or three hours of sleep
depending on who you're referring to
mosquitos were bothering me for a long
time so they don't get much sleep we're
now headed out into the car to the
mountain see you there
[Applause]
okay so we just got to like sort of
where the trail starts I guess I don't
know we're walking on this stone path we
have to go through security where they
went through her bags very thoroughly
and put us through a metal detector as
if we're gonna like blow up the mountain
or something but again you gotta I guess
we should be happy that they're trying
their best to make the place secure and
now we're walking up this path for where
I'm told is gonna be about ten minutes
until we get onto our camels and then we
can start the ascent okay
I am a hundred percent sure that you
can't see me it's pitch black but we're
walking slowly up the mountain I'm on
the camel the scenery here is unreal
100% natural light so all we have is
hundreds of stars it's so beautiful
lighting up the sky we have a perfect so
we say crescent-shaped moon and it's
just a beautiful magical scene that
unfortunately those of you watching the
video will not be able to see for
yourselves
unless you come here on your own that's
just a little update and we will keep
you posted okay so where we've just
reached the halfway point on the
mountain and as you pass they told us
that there's this this is the Starbucks
of Mount Sinai really cool little coffee
shop can you tell them to stop can you
tell can you have the camel stuff okay
so we are we got off the camel and now
we're walking up steps until we get to
the top and passing me seem to be monks
or something like that or no Suns coming
off about a half hour so have to run but
we'll try to take some more footage from
the summit so we're almost at the summit
Sun is definitely rising and scenery is
really beautiful
Wow it's really breathtaking actually
first of all just walking walking up the
rafters breathtaking cuz I'm totally out
of breath yeah apparently the oxygen
here is not so great at the top but do
it okay I'm gonna be too relaxed I think
I'm gonna do the morning prayers up here
Wow check out this view okay so here we
are very near to the summit the guard
tells me that that is Mount Horeb which
I really have no way of knowing exactly
what it is but that was that's what they
call it that's fine and so amazing to be
here
the silence is really beautiful it's
very peaceful here the sun's coming up
as we speak right behind me miss Marilla
so do padilha than a color that's dsr
the never simple there's the church and
here is a mosque
and we have arrived at the summit it is
so so so so so awesome to be here it's
also really it was difficult to get up
like a lot a lot a lot a lot of stairs
and climbing and it's hot and out of
breath of oxygen here is not so good but
we made it glad to go summit is another
mountain okay so it's about eight
o'clock in the morning and we are
starting our descent down the mountain
once again such beautiful scenery our
guard is waiting at the bottom of the
stairs with a camel for me
and I'm actually looking forward to
getting back on the camel I have no
interest in what's your name sir come on
how did you learn Hebrew and you want to
say it you work in this room is right
there what did you do what Israel Tel
Aviv a lot huh okay so we are here in
this little sign our in this little Hut
on the mountain and he sells all sorts
of nice things and cold drinks Thank You
Man
Cheers okay Cheers Normie
most of the trail looks pretty natural
but this part was definitely out of the
rock okay so just had a really big
letdown basically we got to the bottom
of the stairs
and there supposed to be a camel waiting
for me with the guide with the camel
guide Muhammad but he just walked off I
guess he got tired of waiting for me so
uh we have to walk not fun again I love
walking about like today of all days
it's 106 degrees outside and I really
wish I'd be on the catwalk
but solemn the guy who's walking with us
over there tells me that perhaps we'll
meet the camel on the way and we're able
to get a ride down so here's to hoping
that that's gonna happen anyway see you
later
I want my cow okay so we're sort of
finally at the bottom I don't know if
these are my camels but there's
definitely some camels here and in the
background you can see
save catherine's monastery Oh
I need a cold drink so badly hopefully
it'll be a freezing cold Pepsi or
something anyway
just want to update you guys almost back
in the car okay finally we got to the
bottom I got drinks I am relaxing say hi
what's your name ask me Ali and you are
user I'm a slow-mo user
yeah so we share a name how old are you
guys 10 and you you work here now you
work hard
okay make lots of money amen yes one day
no you don't want to visit me in America
well I respect the hustle someone with
money is going to eat Busan next day so
you're saying just like take it day by
day
all right well a lot of luck to everyone
yeah money just money for the sake of
money
if you sex someone said
Hospital anyway you write but you leave
with some small money you know it's
people here in Egypt are very very very
friendly everyone's very friendly we're
very impressed
Egypt is friendly I see very friendly
first the Effendi yeah I could tell
okay well it's nice to meet you
bye-bye see you later alligator
[Music]
okay just left to the terminal of the
Egyptian border control so we're leaving
the country got the passport stamped out
it's so crudely hot here behind me we
have the Hilton Baba Hotel and Casino I
think now the name is change it's called
the stagger burger what they'll stay
there many times but anyway it was a
great experience
Egypt people are very friendly
unfortunately it also seems like people
are very poor but that's a story for
another time heading it to Israel
