Shindi Dan Meni Greenberg. How are you?
How are you?
I'm doing good. Shake for making the
time and um it's a lot to talk about, a
lot we can talk about. So, I hope uh
hope you're ready. My pleasure for the
deare. Anything.
>> Okay.
Um,
so there's a lot of things we can talk
about, but I I I think I see behind you
you have is that a proclamation?
>> Yep. Correct.
>> That's a local proclamation. That's a
state proclamation.
>> Yeah. It's the Alaska State Legislator
proclamation for this year
>> for the free. Yeah.
>> Okay. So one of the
one of the things I think we should talk
about because you know you're
multifaceted
but uh I know that you have a special k
in this whole idea of making
proclamations right proclamations were
for the for the reba's birthday
and
so what's going on why why is that so so
important toal and important to you What
what's the story?
>> Well, do you want me to go back to how I
started getting uh in this? Should I
start from there
>> or should I just think about the Indian?
Okay.
>> No, you should you should say it the way
you want to say it.
>> Okay. So, I I guess I'll say it uh I'll
give it my personal uh how I personally
got um into this thing. Um, so actually
it was from my first years on we're
right now on um here in this area like I
was I moved on when I was one years old
to Alaska but I'm saying like since I
came here with my son and we started
kabaras our own kabaras we're this
summer we're celebrating 10 years so in
my first in our first years of here um
so I used to bring my children to the
preschool in the kabaras in Anchorage so
I was driving a lot um So the the one
advantage of driving in in and out and
in and out was that I had a lot of time
in the car. Um which meant that Barash
was on the group uh that mental sharf
has maybe some people are familiar with
it. He has a group a WhatsApp group for
many years already that every week he
posts a Fbran.
So even though everyone can listen to
Fibbran all the time but everyone
listens together to a certain FBran. So
unfortunately now I'm not that involved
in that group but then when I was
driving a lot I was listening a lot to
Fbrangans. So I don't I don't remember
what was for my second year whatever.
Anyway, he they were listening to the
fibbrangas of the year of now the year
of
is the year of the heart attack which uh
you know other one of the things that we
we were the one of the the gifts it's
hard to say a gift but one of the things
that we have from
is two full years of shabasan
um that are m shabas instead of on
shabas afternoon
shabas That was due that was due to the
fact that was connected to the Reb's
help.
>> Yeah. And that the Reb shouldn't have to
strain himself to speak louder without a
mic. So this way the Reb could speak. In
the beginning initially the Reb was for
bringing from his from his room was
saying from his room
even
>> play downstairs
>> that people heard downstairs and and
obviously was hooked up as well to the
whole world. But that started already
from and the started getting longer and
longer and longer. Um and even after
when went home there were still inb's
room and even after when came downstairs
I think the first time to fing with
there was still there still were from
his room but anyway the bottom line is
bringing matzah shabas but even after
the stop for bringing from his room all
theans were trans were changed to mat
shabas instead of shabas afternoon. So
you could listen to full
two years of shabas like a shabas style
and
the two from before the anyway it's a
very very very two years um and it's
it's just amazing it's amazing amazing
uh stuff that we have anyway so uh that
year they were listening to the
so I tried listening every week to the
to that that week's
um and Then I heard the
and that was the first year that
education that the the US um legislature
the house the senate made a joint
resolution and the President Jimmy
Carter signed a proclamation that the
rebba's birthday dniss uh will be
education day USA
now and then the so the rebba speaks
about it I would say probably the
majority of the fbranian it wasn't such
a long maybe because of maybe because of
the There were three or four that the
majority of the Fabran is dedicated to
education day and I always knew about
education day before. I always knew that
that happens and I always but I never
understood and I also knew the Reb spoke
about it. Thank the president for the
honor but I never realized
how much this was by the Reb like a
thing. So I was like and I heard the
push was going out of my I was like oh
my gosh this is like the started
speaking about how this is this the
started saying that this is a newlav in
the and the of of
basically that this education day is
like a new a newlav and coming in the
coming of msiah like to me that when I
heard that I was like whoa like this is
not just you know oh you know my great
uncle Ramosv had an idea made education
day and the appreciated The said thank
you to the president. This is something
that the Reb saw as extremely crucial to
the whole to the whole purpose of of
Mashiah which is the purpose obviously
of creation and the purpose of
>> what did explain why why is that part of
>> the was explaining that basically that
the fact that the
most the super the superpower of the
world United States um which is in other
words represents all of humanity
basically uh the explained many times
that all countries all over the world
look up to United States um for they
follow them they follow their lead they
follow their their uh initiatives the
fact that they should declare the
importance of education and that that to
designate a unique day special for this
concept later on the spoke much you know
later on it became much more clear that
it was about and the years later through
President Reagan President Bush was
openly about
and about the Abisher and about the ten
commandments. uh but even then in that
wasn't that clear the made it very clear
that the entire purpose is to bring an
awareness uh with education of children
that without belief in God without
belief in the um there's no there that's
the and that's the whole purpose of
education day to bring an awareness by
all all students by all children that uh
education is not just an education of
information of of knowledge of reading
writing math science uh history of hulu
but they foundation. The most important
part of education is education of that
there's a eye that sees an ear that
hears that there's a creator of the
world that each per person has a purpose
and uh there's it's not it's not the
world is not a jungle and yet
there's a there there's there's order in
this world and and the is watching every
single thing everyone does. Um and
therefore children have to make have to
all people all humanity have to make uh
decisions based on the this idea that
not not to murder not to not to steal
basically to be moral and upright
standing people is all founded on the
idea of
the went on to explain the said where
does this come from to make one day for
education is a mitzvah to every
education is always a mitzvah what's one
day and theb starts saying giving proof
proofs from PES from
what's
every day there's a
we designate one day to celebrate
every day you have to have
one day a year is designated that is the
focus
the same gives from
to give like and is why it's appropriate
to designate one day for so I don't I
just walked out of the the and there's
so much more to say about the
>> so that that's why it's it's an integral
part of of the coming of Msiah because
that's what Mashiach is
that there's going to be knowledge of
the all over the yeah all humanity and
and effect and who is the who's
recognizing this in other words like in
so to speak the king of the world in
other words the king of of the king the
the leading force the leading power of
all all of humanity from moneywise from
power from from influence and the United
States says that this is something
that's essential it has ashba in the
entire world and the doesn't say dearb
doesn't say clearly late in later years
it's much more clear how it's connected
specifically to the to but it's it's
self understood um and anyway so I
walked out of the listening to and I was
part of blown away and one of the first
things that was bothering ing me was
like how does not every single citizen
of United States know about education
day. Um the is saying that this is a a
serious schlav in in the coming of Msiah
and this happens every single year. I
mean how many people know about it? How
many will know that the president every
year puts out a new proclamation at
least at that time? I mean it was and
like every like this is to the deb this
is extremely important like why doesn't
everyone know about it? And I remember I
was talking to friends on WhatsApp and
this and that. How what can we do? How
can we make it? Anyway,
and it was it kind of stayed in the
world of talk. Fine. Then came
and uh we were listening to the
and uh all of a sudden the Reb started
speaking about education day and the Reb
says just just like a few months ago the
United States Congress and the president
declared that there's education day. So
the Reb says this should be uh
replicated in every single um country,
state, city.
PL
every basically any type of government
body throughout the world should imitate
should do what what what the what the
you know the federal government in
America did and there's explaining that
it's very easy now now that it was
already done it's easy to convince other
countries and other people to to follow
because United States is some is has
such a influence on the entire world
people will follow uh the the lead of
the United States um and and I'm hearing
this and again and blown away that I was
saying that every single city, every
single state, every single everyone
should should do education day. Um, and
that to me I was like, "Okay, now I know
exactly what I was complaining why no
one knows about education day." So,
right away I'm like, "Okay, now I have I
have my I I know what I meant to do."
>> You're saying till then you didn't
realize that it was you thought it's
just done on the go on on the on the
government level,
>> you know, the federal government. You
didn't realize that it's for every local
should happen as well. Okay.
>> That's right. So till then I didn't know
what how exactly could I help uh what
what happens in Washington do with
Washington but now now I say okay in my
little city I and someone could say
what's the big deal your little city you
should do yeah said every single city so
I was speaking to after that and I was
like does mean like we have to do this
and
anyway you know how it works uh so
before you know when things weren't done
for a long time so uh pe you know people
never heard of it people no one ever did
it no one saw no one this
>> but was it done then
>> it was done at the time in I mean later
on I found out I did my research yeah
after and then when the spoke about it
many cities and many states and for sure
in the United States did it um the in
Israel it was done the the minister of
education put out a proclamation for
education day in um I don't know about
other states other countries but anyway
it was definitely done then and then
throughout the years throughout the mems
and the nuns many in cities states and
different countries uh did uh education
day and there's answers from the rebba
about it and yakas from the reb and
letters from the rebba the mayor of Tel
Aviv a few times arranged that there
should be education day the reb sent
letters uh about it and so there's
there's actually Alaska there's a a very
sharp answer about that did education
day in Alaska on Shabas um wasn't their
fault I mean they didn't realize but the
reba was very sharp about the fact that
it was done on shabas and you could have
said how many people even knew They were
doing different dates. They weren't
doing the
>> So first of all when theb spoke to
was
the said actually said they should do it
before the new year before the new
school year.
>> Um so the the was the designated day and
all the proclamations always connected
to the it was always in honor of the no
matter what what day was in the year. So
bakim came to Alaska in uh in timal. So
they were here in the summer. So they
had a meeting with the governor
they had a meeting with the governor. So
yala they made they made they made
actually it was called rabbi mm day
>> and uh they called mascus to find out
what day should they do it. So someone
in mascus told them is coming
is a good day without realizing that
year was on chabas
>> they got the idea of from it wasn't
their idea. So when they sent it into
the Rebba, the Reba wrote a long answer,
very sharp. Um basically how how the no
one realized that this is on Shabas, the
Reb says most of the things that are
done to honor a special day in the
United States are connected with Shabas
whether it's writing an article or
calling calling phone calls or maz or
this or that. How and and this is all
done in the name of I guess this is in
the name of
>> education day
>> education yeah okay this is done in the
name of and name of this didn't say his
name obviously but the name today is
Rabbi Mm
sharp very sharp and um and m basically
it showed how to me even though it's a
sharp answer it shows how much how
serious the rabbi takes it some you know
a cynic could say how many people even
knew knew about that proclamation in
Alaska. The the governor made a
proclamation. It wasn't printed in the
papers. I mean, I don't think so. How
many people even know knew about it? And
yet the was Shabas.
>> Mhm.
>> So it basically it was something the
sees as extremely important. Anyway,
so back to Alaska. Anyway, so tas I I
put I put together a of a proclamation.
I asked I sent it probably was till I
got I got the courage to do it. I sent
to to the mayor probably two weeks
before he finished this to the mayor of
Palmer, Alaska. Palmer, Alaska has maybe
you know 8,000 official residents. Um
and I sent it to my mayor and I asked
mayor would you be able to do a
proclamation and she emailed me yeah
sure we will do it. No. So I took the I
made a screenshot of that email and I
sent it to friend Mish friends or
cousins and boom a bunch of started
copying started started uh copying it
and started doing the same thing. They
asked me for the whatever and that's it.
That's how the ball the ball started
rolling and uh and years in the
following years those all the governors
of all the states you know different
different countries
um different cities whatever hundreds
and hundreds of proclamations since then
started uh became became very uh common
um again this is not nothing new it
wasn't it's not aish this is how this is
this was happening for many years before
gimmos for whatever reason it was kind
of
>> it was taking something that people kind
of forgot about and making sure But
yeah, and every year I I think since
then there's been a big awareness to
amongst and others that have influence
to make sure that it happens that these
proclamations actually are issued
because ultimately they're done on a
local level. So it needs someone to uh
that it should happen. Um
so before before we get in I want to
know a little bit more about like the
philosophy behind education just on a
practical level. I think the Reb once
said that the Reb's vision for it is
that it should be as popular as as
Mother's Day or something. Is that what
the Reb said?
>> I think that the Reb in the English
there's some saying that that the Reb
believes that the that education day
will help enforce the the days that
already exist in the United States like
Father's Day and Mother's Day. Um that
it will it will enhance and it will it
will help. The Reb basically saw it as
it will work very well. I guess that's
how the Reb was explaining how it's
going to be good for the world that it
will be uh you know good for United
States that is going to enhance the
current culture of United States and
make it better.
Um, by the way, one of the things the
Reb said in that was that that because
the is that
uh that that that the law of the land is
is according to when the the the the
local government makes a law if it as
long as it's not contradiction
contradicting to title law then it's
then it's uh then then then every Jew is
obligated to follow that law. So because
it was a law made by the US government
education day I'll pay is binding on
every
>> so in other words saying even basically
says I'll pay because the government did
it and because it's not so therefore
it's it's a to follow to to celebrate or
to recognize whatever education day
>> is there is there um
what's when something becomes like a
like a legal holiday what is that that
that's like another level of legislation
like what what's what's the details how
that happens you know
>> I don't know I I guess there's there's
different levels of stuff there's legal
holidays I think they they there's
there's no work right they
>> No I'm saying is the vision
for education day to be not only
proclamations but eventually that it
should I don't know be printed on every
calendar let's say or or something like
you know that it's a that it's an
official holiday in the United States.
Um,
>> I'm I'm asking if you understand what
the Reb's vision for it is. I don't
>> I think that I think that I think that
the what the Reb I'll tell you what the
Reb says. The Reb says it's a day to to
to be misan in the purpose of education.
The Reb spoke about putting out
pamphlets with with with ideas uh
explaining the purpose of education. So
it's a time to bring an awareness of the
importance of education and uh educa and
what does it mean education? the real
purpose of education which is education
on that on on the on the on morals and
values that are that are founded on am
faith in God and uh and keeping the
mitzvah that are relevant to all
humanity to all the to to all
and um the spoke in Israel when the reb
wrote letters to the mayor of Tel Aviv
for instance he connected it to mira
that the whole is about and that and
mitzvah so in other words for Jews it's
to to Mazak and of of doing what Jews
have to do. And for for the nations of
the world, it's to mazic, what the
nations of the world have to do, their
obligation.
>> I may maybe uh we're brainstorming over
here, just trying to legitimately
understand it. Perhaps the next frontier
in advancing education day is to figure
out what legislation needs to happen to
make it an like like an official
holiday. Is that is that something that
anyone has to your knowledge has anyone
ever explored that?
>> I don't know. One of one of the issues I
do know is that it's a the day changes
every single year because the day
because it's Hebrew birthday so every
year the date is different which makes
it more complicated I think to designate
a day. Um I know for sure uh by me and
our in our local uh state legislature.
So uh we so the proclamations from the
governor and from mayors happen all the
time and even what like what I have
behind me is like a like a proclamation
of the state legislature but I also
tried getting uh resolutions like an
official resolution. So one year I did
it um but it was spent months and months
going through committees committees. I
know different states don't it's not
that complicated to do to do a a
resolution but by me the resolutions
take I don't know it was went through
months and months of of committees and
meetings and votings. uh it was it took
a long time. So one of the things that
our my the legislators that I'm close
with said you know we should put this in
the system we should do it once and it
should be official and this says make
one resolution for 100 years. But then
the problem came well the date changes
every day every year. So the then one of
the ideas was maybe let's just put in
you know this day and this day and this
day and this day and this day for the
next 100 years is education is education
day as a as a as a resolution. Anyway,
we never got to that yet but um It could
be that might be one of the one of the
issues I'm making a holiday. I don't
know. I'm not.
>> Okay. So, this is something to explore.
We'll let uh those that think
>> that they might understand what the
rabbis kavana is to figure out that this
is something to explore and figure out
who has to do that. I mean I mean
>> I could say is
>> I would think I would think it's a next
step. I I I don't know for sure. You
know,
>> I'll tell you I honestly don't think
it's so much anymore about the
proclamations or what the governments
do. In other words, that obviously
should be done. But it's more about, put
it this way, Father's Day and Mother's
Day is a mitzas in America whether or
not the president puts out a
proclamation.
>> There's also no Right. Right. Right.
>> It's the cult. It's part of the culture
in this. But by the way, I'm not even
sure if they put a proclamation every
year. There's a lot of days that became
days in United States that there's no
proclamations for on a on a yearly
basis. In other words, it has a life of
its own. it became this is father's day,
this is mother's day and celebrated and
all the companies which by the way the
last few years if you if you make some
re research you'll see different random
companies uh put out uh announcements
social media announcements for education
day I don't know if you saw in the last
few years it's catching on and there are
random coffee coffee shops this thing
that thing they put out education day
happy education day something about
education random places which grad also
a few years ago there was a organization
on behalf of the UN um who they made an
entire event on Zoom in honor of 40
years of education day actually spoke to
the guy who uh arranged it someone
that's not Jewish he had nothing to do
with Labavich he never spoke to any he
founded about education day and they
made an entire event all from the top to
the bottom ran by people that are not
Jewish from on behalf of the a certain
organization on behalf of the UN all
about education day and they speak about
the reba there they say it's all about
theb and who theb is
so it's something that's that's that in
other words my point I'm trying to say
is that ultimately the point is it's how
much we and in general people bring this
idea to uh the world and get it really
you know that the that the regular the
regular crowd connects to these ideas
and uh celebrates these ideas and uh
implements these ideas I think that's
that's really where where the focus
should be There should be a pin. It
should be a real thing that's part of
American culture and the the global
culture.
>> So what did what do you do locally like
to help celebrate or spread the word
about education day in in your
community?
>> So what for instance one of the things
that uh that we do here but every single
I go I go to every so in my I'm
officially my is the Matsu Matsu Valley
is a big section a big area in uh in
Alaska anyway. So there's official four
there are four official cities within uh
the Matsu. So I go to every single from
uh from beginning of other I'm try I try
try to do it get it done early I go to
every single um city meeting city
council meeting I go to the burrow
meeting I go I can say I go from meeting
to meeting to meeting where they present
the proclamation I give a speech about
the about education day about
also in in our uh location thanks to the
about education day I also uh we I
connected with the school district and
we have moment of silence here so I
speak about moment of silence as well
and what what should be done by the
moment of silence. Anyway, and then at
the end I give out to everybody uh the
ark the yellow ark the the stuckle box
for those who are not familiar uh stands
for acts of routine kindness. We give it
out. We give out the taco box.
>> Routine, not random.
>> Routine. Yeah. Routine kindness with a a
card. Um I should have had it here, but
anyway, the card with the picture on it
uh explaining the connection to
education day and explaining that one of
the ways to uh educate to to educate our
children with uh with morals and values
is by teaching them the taka and uh it
resonates with people in in an
unbelievable way. You tell them that the
the idea of charity is not most people
see charity as oh you know if someone
has a lot of money you can write a big
check to an organization. You say no
that the the idea of stuck is also for
the giver that when you train a child a
little kid which naturally children and
people think about themselves you know
you see kids playing they they want
everything for they want everything for
themselves. So to train a kid to uh to
give away something from themselves to
someone else that that the explains that
that that that's the kid to have more
fear of hashem to have more honor to
their parents honor to their to their to
their teachers
how they treat other children and the
explained many times the idea of is is
part of the and is relevant to all uh
nations of the world. So it's it's
something that's universal
and did an episode also in tough bay to
CNN to add increasing acts of goodness
and kindness to make mashia come. So
this was something the idea of stuck is
relevant to all uh people. So anyway, so
you give out we give out to all the
members of people sitting on the council
to the mayor to all the people sitting
in the room at the meetings. You give
them out the box with picture and I it's
unbelievable. It has has a med effect on
people. People love it. People are very
inspired by it. Um, I go back to the
city's thumb. I go for Kaneka for to to
to fill out a form for uh for um
permission to put up a mana somewhere
and I see at all the desks in the city
hall there's the pushka and very often
also to picture. I went back to Juno the
the the capital of Alaska um two years
after I was there before. In other
words, I went one and I came back two
years later and I see in many offices
the arcs with the debasis picture with a
card right next to it. So you have
people in their offices pictures of the
Reb and the the Sakapushk is half full
all all over the place. It had like it
leaves that that imprint in tons of
areas and it's it um and I talk to
people all the time, Jews and non-Jews
and they're very very uh inspired by by
it. That's just one thing um we do with
the arcs. Another thing we do is um just
this past uh I I made a whole uh uh book
signing event for the book letters for
life that Lehmadin just put out the
Rabba's letters regarding emotional
health and wellness in connection with
education day and we connected with we
partnered with uh eight different
organization local organizations in town
organizations that deal with youth that
deal with troubled youth um with PR
organizations newspapers radio stations
Um, and there was 100 people that showed
up. There was a nice dinner. There was
program for the children. 100 people
showed up for the for the book. And a
few of the people, a few of the
organizations that partnered with us, I
gave them the book a week before to tell
them about it. They came back. They read
the entire book and they spoke at the
event. They quoted letters from the Reb
and spoke about how much that the one of
them actually cried. She said that that
her husband died suddenly a few months
ago and it was a very hard time for her
and uh that this book gave her
inspiration and really helped her uh
heal heal um so anyway it it was to see
how the Reb's message resonates with
every single human being um and inspires
them to to live better lives to live
more meaningful life um and that is that
that is in other words that that's the
idea of education day ultimately is
basically as the said from
So, so let's talk about the the Reb's
vision
>> a little bit. We'll go into the vision
of this. I mean, we all know,
let's talk about the what what you know
the the accomplishment of
that. I mean, we're really
is famous. We are go reaching out to
every single Jew and bringing mak every
single Jew no matter what level they're
holding and their observance and there's
houses all over the world to cater to
all Jewish needs physical and spiritual
there's a whole another facet to theb
which I don't know if it's appreciated
enough or maybe doesn't look like it's
the main focus
but the rebas's
vision which is ultimately you know's
vision where the rabb was teaching it
for the whole entire world and obviously
we're looking to change the world
because we believe that
is coming every day what is mashia
mashia is going to be the revelation of
hashem in the world like it says in many
other places and really it seems that
this is such um it's a very big focus of
the rebba beyond what we can do for our
fellow
etc. But there's also you know everyone
talk likes talking about that the Jewish
people
and we need to be light on the nations
the I think is the first one that really
said let's do this through education day
through moments of silence
and other methods and it might not be
even people might not a understand it b
be involved in it at all I don't know
maybe you can elaborate a little bit on
what's going on here why why is this so
important
Um yeah so first of all the rebba
himself speaks about how how the idea of
sham mitzvah you know rubbed many people
wrong and one of the questions was you
know if this is just similar to what
what was one of the questions if this is
so important where was it till now the
famous answers about that the same thing
the question was why didn't my z do why
we never heard from
that every is has to be
to accept to influence on all the the
nations of the world to fulfill the
mitzvah but at the end of the day we
never saw anyone doing actually
>> wayb explained the part of it is that
that's
I we never saw anyone doing it so the
said in previous generations there would
have been persecution
>> if if if yeden were teaching
>> non-Jews about about about God about so
the says but the now that we don't have
this that that obstacle so the that's
brought down
now applies since we don't have that
obstacle you know in front of us
>> right exactly so so basically that's the
is saying that that we didn't we it
wasn't possible to do to fulfill this
but now that we are we are obligated to
do it and you know obviously this was
something that was very uh very
revolutionary and um for the Yiddish I
think for the all for the Yiddish world
in general and including also I think um
Rabbi Sim Jacobson has a he says that um
if you look and say and
if it would have been written a few
years later it probably would have
looked very different. Um,
the point is that basically in other
words that the that
you know the the the way how it was the
way how this topic was viewed even by
you know and and
there was a certain way of viewing it
and then with the withbanesh
and the lammed in the in the 70s and
especially the 80s and the mems
the nuns was a very very radical
um very different a big revolution in
this whole in the way how we in the
outlook on this concept on this topic um
actually I heard of Fbran from uh from
after I think was now you know gem uh on
gem TV there's big there's big
revelations on a lot a lot of stuff that
used to be uh not open to the public so
one of the things that came out lately
was abran from
770 after maybe this sh theim
I think it's from that time. Anyway,
what there is a conversation over there
about mitzvah and you could see it it
seems like to me at least that is trying
to figure out what the
and for those who who are who are
familiar a little bit about you know
very often speaks
the world
and um anyway the place of you don't you
don't hear that much at least I didn't
hear that much from uh inel's articles
or speeches
you go every fab in in the in the memsb
spoke on television spoke to the world
and the reb's vision is very very strong
about his vision to the world about the
place of all the in in this process the
night
before
beautiful theb speaks over there about
the of every over the otherb in other
words how
went to new extremes at every single
fromb to the middleb
explains how each one the
he says
what's
sobba many times would say that the
translate into many languages so you
look and look at the early years but
what's the ver of translating into many
languages for Jews who don't read Hebrew
for the for
Jews or for Jews that don't know who you
know are not that educated that they
could also learn what does
it's for the for the for the nations of
the world to be able to understand
clear
of translating is is that non Jews clear
and said in the already that one of the
one of the reasons why was was
translated into English is that learn
because because even though there's a
if are obligated uh to believe if if the
idea of uh how do you explain if
basically if association in other words
in addition to there's also a if that is
a non-Jews or not foren it's obviously a
but for non-Jews the question is if is
it a des or not and the said even though
it's a if it's considered a var matter
if a nonjew or not it definitely is
better if they don't if they don't
believe in for sure it's better and is
the ultimate belief inem
so for a non-Jew to learn one of the
reasons why the Tanya was was translated
into English is for a nonju to learn
and I and I think for many people this
was something they did they didn't know
exactly how to handle it how to stomach
it how to you know how how is this meant
to be understood and um and and and
what's you know what's aim's place in
this whole Um the Reb said in the
there's a video of it. It's also says
that it's the name is called
what's the word and worldbu
>> international
>> international the whole world and one of
the things says is that for every human
being
says there that the majority of people
in every are non-Jews which means is
that a lot of the time of the I think
even the use the majority of the time
not necessarily
is designated to the non-Jews because
the job of
to influence all the withish and all the
nations of the world with.
So the makes it very clear that
said in for instance that by the public
manora lightings said there's probably
going to be non-Jewish people there as
well. So therefore at the minor
lightings they should be speaking about
so bottom line is um the vision to reach
every Jew on the same way and maybe the
the bigger the bigger of the is to reach
the non-Jew the non-Jewish population as
well to inspire the non-Jewish
population as well and the fact that I
say more than this I say that that in
other words the fact
I don't know if I saw this on but but I
It's my myish that the fact that today
there's no persecution and therefore we
could do shab mitzvah it's not oh
there's no persecution so therefore now
we have to do it but it's because it's
the generation it's the last generation
before before gula it's the last
generation of g first generation of gula
that is why the aish made that this
generation has no persecution and
therefore we could influence it's the
first time in Jewish history that Jewish
people are able to influence the
non-Jewish world and and it'scept
accepted in a
it's because this is
in other words the fact that this is why
why wasn't it why 100 years ago was for
a Jew to influence a non-Jew why was it
like that because the time wasn't ready
it wasn't the time of mashia
in this time didn't experience such such
such such and such uh um shullim you
know Jews are in such a good position in
the last 70 80 years it's because this
because it's the generation of Mashiach
because it's the Reb generation. That is
why this is such an amazing time in the
world and that is why it's the first
time in history that that Jews are able
that Jewish people are able to influence
in a positive way the non-Jews and it's
not as said many times that when aid the
said it's tons of times that when yidden
are going to influence the
mitzvah it will add honor and respect to
the Jewish people. The Reb said also
when if if a Yid is involved in business
with a non-Jew and the non-Jew sees that
the Yid is not only there for business
but he cares about his own theid cares
about this non-Jews he cares that he
should have they should have they should
how he behaves how he that he that he
believes in God that he that he keeps
this will bring respect by the non-Jews
to the Jewish people and will respect
they'll respect them they'll honor them
they'll they'll protect them they'll
help them financially said all these
things said we're going to push should
gain the yidden will gain by caring
about the spiritual needs of the
non-Jews. So um
my question is
this is many people's question
that
I want to I want to continue talking
about like the philosophy behind it but
before before that there's a shila
that ultimately if you look at the sikas
so that's it the kabad houses should
become global you know god god godly
centers you know wisdom wisdom centers
there's whatever and we should open up
all the doors to uh to the whole world
and that's it call it a day. Um yet I do
know that there are when the reb was
speaking the there were some that
started make it devoted activities
uh for mitzvah and there were some
answers from the rebba that that's not
necessarily the so what what what in
your understanding what is the what is
the fine line and the balance that needs
to be done for people but particularly
for form
>> so that's a good question and can
Everything I'm saying is based on my
understanding. I'm sure there are
different people that feel differently
or hold differently, but I'll just say
what I think and I'm and I'm in no way
am I saying that whatever I think
whatever I'm saying is is uh is is
whatever. I'm just saying what I think.
Maybe I'm wrong. Um so first of all, a
few things. First of all, I think that
there could be a misconception
and a mistake by some that think that
or our influence in the world means that
blurs
that blurs the the the the
or that blurs the of
and
became a mitzvah and it all of a sudden
it makes everyone one big loveydovey uh
what's it called
and there's actually a from
I forgot the date there's a video of it
the says clearly the says obviously that
um that when they go out and deal with
it's after that they are um careful
in keeping their mitzvah and therefore
there's no there's no and because
they're so careful in tayag mitzvah
there's
that being involved with will have a bad
on them often. So in other words,
dealing dealing with doesn't mean that
that uh that all of a sudden that that
there's any
the fact that the fact that we're going
and having an influence in means that we
recognize who we are that we recognize
we're the chose us and gave us mitzvah
and gave us mitzvah
and and and and and
of
became a mitzvah. So in other words,
it's not one it's not in any way, shape
or form um
in any way avite in being proud and
strong about the the of and and
>> in other words what you're saying is
that perhaps one of the reasons why
you know the gave guidelines like how
this should happen is for this reason so
that you know to be clear that Wait,
wait, one second. First of all, you're a
Yid and you call yourself
and we're here we're here to help every
single Jew and that's you know that that
that's that's who we are and with that
there's also the obligation that we have
for the world at large but it's not it's
not on the it shouldn't be on the
expense or or blur or blur these two
things together.
I I don't know if it's one is like the
and one's like that the addition. I
don't know if that's that's from the
doesn't seem like that. I'm just saying
is that it's that but there were and
they wanted to open up uh centers
centers. Okay. Okay. Yeah. the the next
thing is I think that so that's I just
want to say that I think that's a very
important thing for us for those who are
who think about getting involved in
these things to understand that this is
extremely important that it means being
and
and no playing around with with with one
with one
I mean I know I when you deal with you
could come to questions about speaking
about other religions this that
>> I just want to say that I I want to say
that you deal with this in in your in
your in your local you actually do this
like this is not a theory
>> and yeah yeah and and and it's something
I'm just saying that yeah the moment
that we you're you're from one and
that you're going against the whole the
whole the whole the whole and everything
if if it's if it means compromising
then then then it's not even so so I you
speak to non-Jews very often they start
bringing up their their faiths their
religions and I tell them openly a Jew
is not allowed to engage in other faiths
and other religions so therefore I don't
know about anything you're talking about
and I'm not going to talk about it and I
and and the I just saw a few
the is a strong believer that when you
tell a nonju strong
You have guidelines and this is how it
is. You say the truth without without
that that non-Jews will respect you
more. Among is brought to you by
we live in a chaotic world. A world
where for us is a
we do not have the ability to hear and
see the on a daily basis. Yet we know
that the reba is very much with us and
is alive and thriving more than ever
before. One needs to only tap into it

the podcast. The said when the Tanya was
printed in English said that those who
are afraid that are going to see what it
says there and they'll be turned off was
talking about the the Yeah. So
>> yeah, paragraph
>> um
>> and there's a famous there's famous back
and forth with with with
theb says in theb says that the the are
going to see that this is the ems and
the they're going to they're going to
respect it and more for it. So when you
when when a yid is strong and and and
sure and confident in who they are and
what they represent no one to be afraid
of there's nothing to be afraid of in
the more honest we are the more truthful
we are the moreish you are the more you
are the more developed will will uh
respect you and and and appreciate you
that's just a very important I think
um regarding the the the in of I think
there's also uh what that's why he's
talking about the answers the rabbi gave
him So I think in our mindset in uh the
typical kabad mindset so you know what
do you eat very often like which by the
way I think the problem could also be
with yen also you know like some if a
has a meeting with a Jew and and he
asked him during the meeting to put on
film with the and theid said he doesn't
want to put on film if walks away from
that meeting and they feel like it was a
waste of time or was not success it's
You're not just you the didn't send you
to this place to get more men to put on
fillin and your success is is valued
based on how many you didn't put on
fillin. Of course you should try to get
people to put on the fillin but it's not
just about filling. There's more to the
there's more to the connection. The fact
that you connected with the fact that
you sat down with the and even seemingly
had a casual conversation
you mentioned
yiddish. This itself is is the is is an
unbelievable accomplishment.
It it it's not it's not we're not
measured say yeah wants
you try to get you can put on but if the
guy doesn't want to put on
there's there's there's other things
there's in other words there's there's a
deeper purpose
>> also
exactly
and even if you can't get a in other
words not everything is is is in the box
of the very fact that you live in a
location And your house is called the
kabad house base kabad. You're the
ambassador in this location. And that
itself is the ultimate goal and ultimate
purpose. Every person, every person,
man, woman, child, Jew
from the
you you that that is already an
accomplishment. So based in that within
the mindset of so we think what does
mean? Oh, so you have to go to an
Andrew. So you need something instead of
fillin. So you shove down his throat and
you say the chevitz. You read you read
off rattle off the the card. You give a
card's card.
>> So I mean I'm not saying that that's so
so so what were some doing? Okay. So we
have to teach they started giving
now any I mean I know for sure if I
would make an announcement I'm giving
classes in the Bible or giving classes
about God. But I have hundreds of people
coming to my to to myas non-Jews to to
to study
and what the one of the brought to the I
have a group that comes to me every
single week or whatever comes to them so
every so often and uh they're they're
leaving their churches. They're leaving
this and they're having questions about
what type of they could do, what type of
they could do, what's the is getting
very close and he's he's asking the Reb
should should they come into could they
be part of this? Could they be a part of
that? So the Reb sent him to Raan and
the Reb said that should should give Mus
uh and and and the Reb made it very very
clear has to be very serious uh sack and
the said that basically couldn't figure
out couldn't come to a consensus of what
what should be done and what shouldn't
be done and therefore the whole thing
fell flat and the felt from this that
basically that the fact that the Reb
sent the Rabban didn't know what to do
is that basically that the Reb was
obviously in some way basically telling
him no and he stopped all his classes he
stopped
>> and there were there were other that
actually the did tell them not to do
these type of things no
>> I mean there's there's never thing that
each thing has to be deal dealt with I'm
not sure which I actually punct over the
last half a year I spoke to who didn't
know if we're supposed to mention names
here but didn't Rabbi WG have an answer
from the about
>> that's what I'm talking about so the
answer was to go to him
>> that's what
>> the answer was to go to and maybe even
clear the rebavich
I think he went to ban labavich did his
letter to the rebba and the reb's answer
to him is public you can read it. So um
yeah the rebba sent him to the rebba
said that should give him upsak bab I
think with mar is basically not stumped
to give up there should be a really
>> that's that okay that's
>> a really uh you know a real source-based
suck and I think maybe the deb even said
something like should be serious from
the
>> way he unders well the way he understood
it was there was a little bit of a
rejection about his formalizing
>> yes and then and then I think he also
spoke to rabbi and also said that
different times times that he he tried
um doing something the Reb basically
paused it. So Rabi WG has an
understanding that even though the Reb
spoken very strongly about yet when it
came to the Reb put brakes on a lot on
he he feels on everything the basically
when it came to practical the stopped
things I mean we know that the Reb
wanted a book to be printed for that
that Nissandel was meant to do and that
also never came out I think the Reb
didn't let it come out then so there's
this
>> so so what does this mean what does this
mean
>> but the fact that so my so first of all
>> a lot of people strugg struggle with it
because you read the and the is very
clear about it and then all of a sudden
you hear these stories. So, so what what
does this all mean?
>> The fact of the matter is there are
people that did get get permission. So,
for instance, uh Dava Nakshin and Avitab
they uh they printed uh they printed um
uh brochures to give out in the diamond
district or something like that. What is
it called in whatever? Avitab used to do
business in the diamond district maybe
or whatever.
>> Yeah, diamond district. They made uh
they made brochures and they got answers
from the rebba and the rebba actually
was mad as them and the rebba think they
said or whatever. There's a whole back
and forth about they wrote about the one
time they didn't write about the reba
next time they wrote about the reba the
gave them more compliments anyway they
got clear uh there was back and forths
about uh making and there's and there's
other examples of things that the gave
permission to do for practical stuff
real things so I I don't and then
another thing the whole education day is
all the proclamations at education day
himself went from country to country
trying to get uh leaders of every
country to sign the national scroll the
international scroll of honor which was
signed first by President Reagan to in
honor of the Reb declaring about
Shabbitz. The Reb spoke about this.
There's letters about this. So of course
doesn't think that the whole Shabbus are
shut down. But I think what I what I
understand and I think that the the this
is why I understand it that the
in other words like this okay this is
this is how I I coin it maybe I'm wrong
that the
is special for Jews. the Indian of
reaching out to every individual,
>> seeking out every like like Rabbi Sach
says the same way Hitler seek out every
Jew with hate. The Reb has his people
seeking out every Jew with love. He's
not in seeking out. Our job is to seek
out every
>> every one Jewish child that get that
that learns. One that puts on fill and
one woman that is calling and saying,
"How many Jewish kids are there in your
city? Do they all have a Jewish
education?" Hanging up the phone these
type exactly that that that's special
for for for Yidden.
>> Mhm. I I don't think that the job in
other words if you think about even
practically there's not enough for sure
now but even in a 100 years there's not
enough to deal with every single one of
the billions of people on the planet on
a one-on-one basis.
>> Okay. But that's not an answer because
the was saying to reach out to every
when there was when there was 10 in the
world. No, because it's it's because
that that's that's aan on us. The fact
that we that we can't reach out to the
fact there wasn't 5,000 70 years ago was
in the in the in other words practically
it was it's
we didn't work fast enough for the is
for the but in Indian what we have now
>> you're saying there's not if every would
be there still not enough to influence
every single nandrew okay that's what
you're saying and the always spoke about
Eden
and you see practically right the
anyway fine the the point is that is is
is the always spoke about that in
Yiddish always the was always gave her
the camel I mean even even in in the of
the world right what people always say I
mean this is not our talking points
people always say you know all how many
of the Nobel prize winners are Jewish
why is that Because by by in
we we never we never were successful in
our is not our is not our thing. We're
in
>> when it comes to you need you need to
reach the masses. You need to get to
everybody.
>> So to sit and make if if you have a
vision of mitzvah as uh you know how
many are going to come into your come
you lost the plot. That's that's not the
point. The point is how you have to
reach you have to bring the Reb's
message and the message of of of of
Yiddish to every person possible
and it's not by the typical house
format. It's not by getting people into
so first of all you have to be careful
about
that there shouldn't be shouldn't be a
mix of and you're the kabaras in the
typical form is meant to be for yidden
the connection the the so so you have to
reach the world how do you reach the
world by big things like like like like
the proclamation
>> like a using the government governing
body point to very influential people
>> exactly you go to you have So, so the
way you the way you understand it is the
Reb does want his and to be involved in
it, but does but not necessarily is it
in the format of you know like you're
going to find every Y and just getting
to do one more mitzvah and
whatever or whatever one it's more of
how can we by using our position in the
world also influence the whole world
like on a global scale or on a mag you
know on a bigger scale and that's why DA
for that you need government and you
need influential people to be involved.
So basically a little bit behind the
scenes or causing things to happen.
>> Exactly. Exactly. So in other words when
a goes to the government and influences
their government or influences whatever
that all the public schools have a
moment of silence. Right. I I I did it
in my in my in my area. So 19,000
students begin their day every day with
moment of silence. I just reached all
the kids in my area without anybody even
knowing. Right? So, I didn't bring I
didn't I'm not making a mitzvah of
getting public school kids into my
kabadas and to talk to them about God
and maybe I'll get 15 kids, maybe I'll
get 20 kids. I reached 19,000 kids in
their public schools through the the
school through the school schoolboard
president through whatever through
through the the whole. So, it's first of
all, it's not it's not about my reach.
It's about bringing the obviously the
message of of uh of of of goodness and
kindness and and uh humanity but I'm
saying that in other words the point is
not to reach each individual.
Yeah. Exactly as you said. So through
government or through influential
people, through the newspapers, through
the radios, through the radio, through
television, through uh social media, not
to sit there and and and just like you
have a Jir, you have a a para class in
your seven and a half people show up and
you feel all good. You got seven people
to learnish. So you get 10 people that
are not Jewish to learn.
that I I don't think that's the I don't
think that was the kavana
get all
>> but should there be organizations that
are dedicated to this uh to this cause
>> which cause mitz
I'm not telling other what other things
should be done I'm I'm saying what I I
put it put it this way I think that I
think the martial education day I think
could be much more have a much bigger
impact if there would be a designated or
organization to to work on it I think so
I said the stuck has a massive potential
to mamish take over the world. I think
moment of silence um I mean the reba
once clearly moment of silence in all
the public schools and uh in the last
few years uh Florida was think Arizona
was think uh what's it called um another
place another state I forgot what's the
name is right now working moment of
silence there there's in the last 10
years seven years are working very very
hard on their local schools uh to get
moment of silence done and I think
definitely much more work could be done
that to to do that and that is clearly
one of the sh mitzvah.
>> Okay. So, let let's let's move back
towards the uh the philosophy behind all
of this. So why is this
why is this
I guess it's connected to the Reb's
vision
of the world which is
to actually bring Msiah and actually
change the world this time for good and
actually finally make
see for more details
and this is this is the the way the
rebel laid it out in the beginning. So
how are we going to make a through doing
and through what's going to happen by
when comes that the whole world will
will
have the whole world will will be filled
with the knowledge of the so in order to
hasten it's also connect I think to what
the way the Reb speaks about Msiah that
we're not yes Mashia is miraculous but
we're not only waiting for Mashiach to
come down from the sky out of the blue
but that there's a natural progression
that the world has to go through
in order for Msiah to come and we could
be part of it right like there's a
the Reb told students that while Msiah
is miraculous I don't always like to
view it only like that not I'm not
saying exact quote but I'm paraphrasing
and the Reb says that you know for
example maybe Mashiach will be a master
in technology and he'll influence the
world that way so basically what we're
doing here with with with influencing
the
is first of all what we're doing here
with with getting other to do is to help
bring
and we're doing here with other with
influencing the world is finally getting
uh people to have Hashem and part have
God being part of their life and
ultimately the fulfillment of that will
be coming of Msiah but that this is part
of the process right is that
>> so yeah by the way if you mention the
it's a
I think they have printed it lately
Maybe
>> um we printed it a long time ago. Maybe
we printed it again recently. Yeah, but
we did we did print it. Yes,
>> it's a and if I could u a little bit,
but what what you said that they asked
>> I'm glad I'm glad that I gave a
disclaimer that I'm paraphrasing because
I didn't I didn't read it recently.
>> Yeah, the the said the said that um they
they asked the questions about Mashiach.
Um and the Reb basically said the Reb
gave an example. The said basically
mashia is a real
again maybe I'm making mistake but the
was basically trying to say that mashia
could be a a relatable reality. Um and
the rebba said he gave the gave an
example. He said imagine if somebody
would come up with a weapon that would
be the most powerful weapon in the world
and all nations would need that weapon.
So the said obviously all nations of the
world would have to be now but of this
person right look look what right now
what's going on with the nuclear the
nuclear weapon in Iran. Look how the
entire world is all of a sudden siding
with Israel to destroy Iran's nuclear
weapon. In other words, this little
weapon is all of a sudden has an
influence on the entire world. So
imagine somebody and that's something
everyone can understand. Someone could
create today in modern technology
someone all of a sudden creates
something and to me I I read in during
co they think about co right if you told
somebody before co that there'll be five
months that the entire world will shut
down there'll be no flights there'll be
no this no that shs will be shut down
everyone would laugh at you make sugar
but all of a sudden one little stupid
virus has such an influence if a little
virus could have an influence on the
entire world someone could make a with
AI okay someone could come up with a
with a with a concept and The imagine
somebody came up with a technology that
the entire world needs. Boom. The whole
world is bleed to that one person. The
is giving an example of one man, one
person, one individual will have it. And
the Reb says that's what Mashiah is.
Mashiah will be able to get the entire
world in a in a physical way, not just
>> and and in a positive way.
>> Yeah. But the point we're talking about
were negative,
>> right? But but the point is that that
that in a rational way Mashiach will
have a way to get all nations of the
world to to come to him. So that they
tell the reb at the end they say to the
wow you know usually we view msiah as
you know supernatural miracles and here
you're giving such a rational
rational like
so the said I also think mashia is is
supernatural is going to come with
miracles and supernatural
the says sometimes I feel that it's
harder for people to stomach if if
everything is so I like to give give
also understanding in a physical way and
I think that's the the the of the is
also without all the mice and you when
the rabbi spoke spoken the says that
he negates the whole miracles of Mashiah
coming
>> right right so so and I think the Reb's
explanation is because says that's
that's
not it doesn't say it's not that can't
be
um I mean the Reb speaks when the speaks
he always talks about coming down from
the sky
And
it's coming down from the sky. Yeah.
Always like those words.
>> Doesn't say. Yeah. Yeah. So, so it's not
anyway. So, how do we get here about Oh,
I was thinking I'll tell you like this,
you know. Um, what's it called? Like I'm
lately I'm this year I was trying to I'm
trying to learn the para every week. So,
so um
>> you learn the whole thing.
>> Yeah. The the whole the whole para. So,
so
I'll talk about that. Okay. So, so
basically that
>> as long as you remember what we're going
back to.
>> Okay. We're going back to um that's
connected. Okay. on him. So the the is
why the said in the
and to learn the entire when printed
again made a whole to learn the entire
par every week and the told whoever
whoever learned it said
was a whole thing about that um and then
throughout the years we spoke about it I
remember the learning went to the mems
that theb said that just like the par
has and one that's each part of the
week. So to also has that's each day of
the week just we don't know which one is
belongs to what. Um so anyway
>> there's a there's a it's a weekly it's a
video.
>> Yeah.
>> And um I actually remember watching it
and I think you were there
the says that it's the parish is just
like the regular parish just like the
regular parish each ali is connected to
the day of the week right is Sunday is
Monday. So the same thing with the par.
>> Yeah. But we don't know which one is
which. Which part of the parish is
connected to which day. However, we do
know that the beginning right in the
beginning must be connected to the first
day, right? Because it's the beginning,
>> right?
>> So since today Sunday, I'm going to
explain now something from the beginning
of this week's par.
>> It was a weekly. You're sure?
>> Was a in the front.
>> For some reason, I remember learning it.
anyone if anyone remembers please uh
post the date of this. Thank you.
>> Okay.
Um yeah, but I yeah I remember that I
remember that that thing. I thought that
was saying the end I thought it was said
the end of the but no I might be making
something up but uh I'm pretty sure I
saw that says that. Yeah. Okay. Go
ahead. Another thing is
I think the said about learning
said
is
learn
but not they said
anyway to learn the is obvious basically
but in addition after learn
something like that in other It's you
have to learn the um what was
>> you're saying you're saying you're
saying that obviously learns
>> but
is a fundamental thing that's very
important
>> I mean the whole the is
so
>> yeah the once said about how how
would learn with the little children
of the week some people say that that
means father I don't know if there's
another story because there's a story
>> the Oh, that
>> the Reb said what you just said by that
there was a thing that people did learn
it with their kids
>> and I think the says I don't know why
people don't do it.
>> Right. Says that
>> I don't remember. I don't remember.
>> And there's a whole story. I think it
was
I don't know. I think it was I think it
was I think it was him. He saw the Reba
He saw the Reb's father reading look at
the and the Reb was a little kid next to
the Reb basically reading it to the Reb
and he asked
she doesn't understand and basically
think the Reb's father said to ask him
the rebba knew the content of of so this
story came out I don't know you know
more recently whatever became famous
recently but then there's a says there
was a mimi that parents used to learn
with their children So that was talking.
>> Yeah.
>> Soon. Yeah. So, so then but
spoke by the famous
the last
said that only
that yeah very very strong that uh that
is also you know is also used a lot to
quote a lot.
Um
and so even in the but especially when
you look at the building
the is
majorly in
um to the point that in the building
it's not it's not written that way in
the building the said that is
>> usually it says that about
>> usually says about here the said and the
said a fascinating line that said over
there was that just Like there's a minig
to finish an entire Rambam to complete
learning Rambam in a year. So too you
you should also finish an entire
within
a year. And to me that was like it's
like
it's like
personal is
you know Jews have been learning for 250
years like basic thing.
>> Yeah. Back in the day when there was
barely any you know what were people
learning
that was that was the book. And here the
says just like
we learn I mean
how many years was there already after
five years six years seven years
whatever and yeah how yeah about five
years whatever six years
>> and here the says just like you learn
the entire every year so too you should
also finish
every year um anyway and come up
throughout the brings it up again
because Reb was kept on quoting the end
of aboutka
the whole thing is from
um
it's a very very central theme in the
mug also it brings out but it's in the
building it's much more uh you see that
there was something that was very much
part of the fab and I remember when the
first time I learned the building and I
was a ber still it it really uh it
really shocked me you know like because
you know you in a very um immature I am
in my immature head or or when you don't
when you don't really I think I think
when uh I don't know what the right
words to say is I I think there there's
a very childish way of seeing
you know thinking about Msiah thinking
about is is is like in other words how
many times has been quoted and and that
that's not but I guess what I'm trying
to say is like this that what's Mashiach
basically what is Mashiach The is
screaming that Mashiah is here. It's our
job to tell the entire world. Mashiah is
what does that mean?
What it means is is is is um you know
what's Mashia? I just heard people keep
on people keep on are you tying this
back to the Chevitz thing or this is
>> not yet different track. Okay. Yeah.
>> A little bit of a different track but
maybe it's maybe it's connected.
>> Um but actually people I see people on
the podcast keep on mentioning Shawn
Lipskar. I just heard a speech of Shawn
Berkf I think from Anal in 770.
>> So he says you know what's Mashiach?
Msiah means people are instead of doing
what they want, they're going to be
learning.
>> Yeah. In other words, Mashiah, what's
Mashiah? Mashia means they're gonna be
busy all day learning or or or
experiencing.
>> I I think I think what I listened to
those I think what he says is it's not
that you're going to have better better
herring at the
>> Exactly. If you think Mashiah is going
to be a picnic like uh you know,
so it's it's where we tell to the kids
the chocolates will grow on the trees.
Mashiah means after means
>> I just I just told my four-year-old that
he was very excited
>> the candies
>> he's always looking for candies by the
way I told him by the way soon you're
going to have a lot of them
>> and whatever say
means that the madanim all the the
delicacies of the gash of the world will
be to us like dust will mean nothing to
us which by the way ah called me the
other day and was telling me that the
whole you know the whole of the world of
AI that AI AI will take over uh will
take over people's jobs and take over
people's work. The whole vert of AI is
that the dream of AI that the push in 25
years everyone will have everything
there'll be plenty and what's the fear
that people will be bored and people
will be bored
will go wild but what what's what's the
what does say about Msiah that
everything will be in abundance we'll be
we'll have time on our ends
>> yeah we'll have no needs all our needs
will be taken care of and here and by
the way how he likes giving a gosh to to
see it in a way AI based on this dream
that AI is going to take over all jobs
and whatever is part in a physical way
we could see in our own eyes that that
how a reality that the world won't need
to work well be everything we'll have
we'll have in abundance and we'll have
nothing else to do besides learn
the point is what what am I saying so I
I feel that what the said in
the as kindles and spoke and all these
atheists about Msiah and then the same
has such a learning
the whole thing. Someone could say you
know is so busy this that if your whole
job is to is to bring and to say that
the last is that what does it mean? What
does it mean? What does it mean? What
does it mean? It means that you have
nothing else in your life that bothers
you besides
besides living
So if it means that spends five hours on
Shabas to learn
or which is this week which is which is
insane is a massive very very long which
could take hours and hours and hours and
hours to learn. You know what's
Mashiach? Mashiah means hours and hours
having one.
So there could be no there could be no
better way in tasting and and the only
way he could give over to Andra is if
you have to soak is busy hours and hours
a week learning
the forget about the just the amount of
time it takes to read those words even
if you don't understand which by the way
there's there's minusb about the people
that complain they don't understand do
understand it was very clear from the
that
even if have a hard time understanding
the whole you have to finish all the
episode I think one lo one to know to
learn well and the rest
>> I think I think once said the beginning
>> the beginning of the first
the point is that that yes so anyway so
that
always uh you know had had a big impact
on me obviously I think on many people I
think many people learned it because of
that
um and I learned it a few times I
learned air a few times before but
whenever came to PE time I always fell
off when came to this year actually Yasi
Jacobson Rabbi Yas Jacobson posted on a
group I say
to learn and uh I decided to jump on I
was thinking about it from yeah no I
wasn't sure I should or shouldn't anyway
I got inspired and I decided to do it so
yeah
>> he gets the credit
>> okay very good I also learn but I don't
know if I finish the whole thing. I
definitely start
um
>> actually I was mafim I was mafim um or
my status um about the
um in the beginning of the year and
there were a few I started learning it I
know at the end when I finished at least
one maybe more told me that that
they learned the entire for the first
time in their life that year this year.
>> It's beautiful. Okay. So how did this So
let's tie it back. You mentioned the
because
let's go back.
>> Oh, one of the things I was thinking
when when you learn when I learn I can't
talk for anybody else.
When I learn
um it doesn't feel like we said before
about
it feels like to me it feels like
talking.
So first so first of all I mean to do
that is first
you learn from theb and you learn that
week chances are there's be something
touched upon from the you learn the
first
>> especially if you learn
especially the early
that is giving the foundations there
that's all the famous thing this week's
par you know the the whole They didn't
want to be involved in
>> right comes from it comes from the whole
thing.
>> Yeah. And the same thing with Mashiach.
The same thing with
how many times say
loss of love.
It's all over thousand times. Um so like
and used to tell everybody that
to prepare for to learn
from the of that week
the first few on on the what did and say
on on the par of that week. So so that's
that's probably one reason why why I see
the deba there. But I I I think that the
intimid
said once that maybe the name of the
that he the question was in the
to write
you know what I'm talking about on the
sh of the
it says
right
anyway the the chain of the or I should
say the chain of the and the should be
Because because
it's all one thing this is all one one
thing
it was written because there can't be
any there can't be any darkness in the
source of the light is the source
there's no shalas only in there could be
a chain whatever the point is that
basically in in many ways
all the in in in some ways are all one
Indian it's all one mo it's all one
concept
the the is that each Reb took this and
brought it to a whole new level
brought it to a whole new level in in in
so
that the same Mashiah the Reb speaks
about already heard about but then what
did mean that that you're the hagashi of
a person of a Jew sitting in a little
vinkle in Russia that was the so the
understands
>> from your from your
>> Yeah. Yeah. So when the
understands and appreciates
>> I heard I heard that when the started
introducing them there was a certain
somewhere that was they were saying we
have and I was like what do you mean you
always do we're always doing this we're
spreading
>> yeah
was I mean that there was there was
there was
citizens and to influence other Jews to
>> and printing. I mean this is so but it
was but it was it came in stages.
>> Exactly. So it's not like the it was
always about just the on yourself but
yet there were plenty of people that you
know that that's what was and I should
and I should be and that and I the is
saying they the whole world
you know how they understand mashiach
then
so for them mashiach and the world meant
myself
whatever you know the the his entire
world
even even within the Jewish world but
for sure and every generation and
these things take on a real when I say
real well depends
who das and right das says that the is
the true existence and das says l and
that the that the here the world is the
real existence is the real reality and
the is something we don't understand be
above understanding and the whole point
is to make of both
the is to take the the physical
disconnected world and say that this
physical world in all its in its lowest
level in its simplest lowest cr
level level has to be totally with the
highest levels of
and in every I think every generation it
meant what it meant for that generation
and the basically takes it down and says
it means
every Jew in the most lowest levels in
everywhere in the world
in the most everything is in the most
literal sense these things already said
it's already stated
but the takes it and says this is for
like for again you have to be careful
when you say for real for real but for
real this means like in other words if
you told
that
a non-Jew should should uh should have a
moment of silence and think about God,
right? or or or or or give stuck up
because the Reb said or have they'll
laugh at you not I think even in the and
I think even big like big of the would
would think that it's it's it's that's
not an Indian even and by the it's no
this this is that Msiah is a practical
real world change that the world will
change every detail of the world will
change and not just through not
necessarily only through Nissim
that will come and make this and change
the world. But in a in in a in a
way that the will be in will be refined
and elevated to be a cle to the al to be
a cle to to the and that in in other
words I think our I think the of
bringing mashiach and the
is in other words if the miracles the
miraculous mashiach that's not that's
the job of mashiach to do our job is to
make to in a natural way to make the
world ready naturally for Msiahb
the the
after the six day war to um to Gutnik
the Rabbi Gutnik from uh from Australia
which just mish recently came out at
recording of Gutnik saying this saying
over this this mamish right after it
happened in 770
>> it's been printed for a long time
was printed originally
>> yeah it was printed for a long time but
here you hear him how he's talking to
Gordon is sitting at that conversation
he's talking
Gordon it's like fresh right right after
he heard it one of the things that said
speaking to him they were speaking very
strongly about Mashiach and one of the
things that spoke about was the of
Mashiach the asked how is it possible
that Mashia will call you how is that
possible that one man will like
literally influence every single Jew to
go so the said it doesn't have to be
Mashiah himself it could be through
I think
anyway that. So in other words, every uh
every in the world I mean the said in
many times is
yeah
>> so
our job is like we have to see ourselves
and we have to realize that
>> and every
that's right and and the said that um
the said in
that every single
is of
and the Reb said that um that just like
and it whether you like it or not it's
not up to you said just like a Jew once
you're born a Jew you're a Jew you can't
change it right that's
where we're we're we're masters at
telling people that you're Jewish no
matter what you are you do behave that
way you don't behave that way you're
born Jewish you're Jewish just like a
Jewish born Jewish. Every Jew in this
generation since the became the
whether he likes it or not. What's your
is how much are you going to live
according to that reality just like a
Jew, right? You're Jewish whether you
like it or not. It's up to you to let
that truth um be uh lived and realized
in your life in a day-to-day level or
not. You could do mitzvah, you could do
mitzvah. The more you do it, the more
you're living according to your true
identity. Same thing. that the only
question is how much are we going to um
embrace this reality that we are of the
but every Jew is so every single and
especially those who officially are
associated with officially associated
with we are all
and our job is to um to basically do
Mashiach's job is to is to influence
every single Jew to go in the ways of
mitzvah to get the world ready love so
back to the the whole topic mitzvah I
think that um you know that that in
other words that that this when you're
talking about why is this I think that
the basically took
which was a concept in this maybe or
whatever in made it push it and brought
it down to reality. It literally means
to that every single non-Jew will be
influenced by the Aisha will be
influenced by Tyra will be inspired to
follow the thera of our generation which
that's by the way a very uh central po
mentioned many times that
that it's that if that says that it's
important that that a nonjun knows was
given through
um
very often Whenever mentions mitzvah, he
mentions that line
that that that what are we talking
about? I was talking in the mitzvah that
came to me like I think the point is
that it's it's it's given at
right that
the name is part of it
>> saying
the there's a whole of
which then was the first
and there was also 850 years of or
something like that spoke a whole about
how it's important that the should give
cover to the Rambam
and the Reb speaks about how it's
important that should they should make
stamps in honor of the Rambam and they
should make events and proclamations and
mishb is making a whole that the
different governments of the world
should do things in honor of the 850
years of the
then the goes and says what's the what's
the first of all the explains how he
could go to a non-Jew and a non-Jewish
government and explain them why they
should care about
Reb doesn't say, "Oh, you know, give
honor to a Jewish rabbi." No. The Reb
explains that the Raam was dedicated for
the well-being of non-Jews. The Raam
writes that he was a doctor and a big
part of his career, a big part of his
his work as a doctor was pushed to help.
He didn't sleep. He didn't have just to
help non-Jews
was dedicated to the well-being of
non-Jew of of the of the nations of the
world. also ina
is the only from the only that wrote a
whole in his in his for the non-Jews he
writes about
and he says about what what does say
when it comes to mashia the the purpose
of the whole creation that
that's including
so writes the vision about the purpose
of the world the go are part of that the
fact that the occupation of the entire
world will only be to know That's part
of that's part that the the non-Jews are
included. So Sai in his s actions the
Rama was dedicated to non-Jews and
therefore it makes sense that non-Jews
should do things to honor and recognize
the Rambam
and then the Reb says and those are
saying what's the big non-Jews will give
to the Rambam. So the Reb says one of
the greatest that Jews are benched is
that the nations of the world give a to
the So the fact that nations of the
world recognize the godless of the is
one of the greatest blessings that you
didn't have. Then the Reb goes and says
how in the migill it speaks about
that these are the fact that the nations
of the world recognize the godless of
Yidden and more specifically obviously
the leaders of the Yidden
this is a very this is a and there's a
there's a said in which actually someone
pointed out to me that was just a few
months after education day in
um week fab you carry on tape and it's
also mug the says the story about the
marash the marash was one time taking a
walk or going with his wagon and he took
a different route than he usually took
and he was going through a bunch of
non-Jews were walking by and the n the
the non-Jews that saw him bowed to the
ground and the is crying when he says
this says the story starts crying I mean
the cried many times when he said
stories about maybe that's a whole
another discussion but anyway the starts
crying when
when they said the story. So the person
who was with the I forgot who it was or
whatever he asked.
So the said
>> wait what what was what was the
question? I don't know people are bowing
to him.
Something asked the question, what what
is this about?
or whatever state
like who do you think it's talking about
when it says
and the Reb is saying this and then the
Reb says the fact that this story came
to us
and it was printed means that there gave
a that every should be in this way
that the gave the whatever they gave the
that every should should have this
concept as as
the point is that um that all these
ideas always existed but yet the Reb
brought it down into the into the to
this here and now in the real world that
it's our job to reach out to because
Mashiah is this generation it's not just
in do that there was a there was a cat
from fromb
in what was
Yeah. Well, whatever. What year was it?
Whatever. Any whatever. Anyway, one of
the years and there's a a and
asked repeated the story many times as
what happened to the cats said was
printed. So he said we needed.
So speaks about this whole this whole
topic. But anyway the point is that from
in other words in the in there was there
was times in history when the reality of
mashia wasn't
that was and that is in in in that is
mashiach but was saying mashia is that
it has to actually transform the
physical world and that's that's where
where we are and so this this is the
generation of mashia this is the
generation the last generation of go
first generation of gullah so that's why
it's the who introduced this whole
concept
which is a radical change in Jewish
history. Never happened before. Um, a it
wasn't possible and it wasn't possible
because it wasn't the time for it. Now
it's a time for it and only the could
say that it's the time for only a person
that has plates like that sees that
knows the essence of reality knows the
essence of reality because he is the
essence of reality
says that
of the whole the whole bri the whole
whole creation. So only the of of could
say when this is a time because it's a
it's an unbelievable kite to go and
suggest that start having influence on
the nations of the world and it's a
breakkite in many many ways and
literally I don't think anybody in the
world ever till today feels that they're
the they have that authority to make
such a decision. It's it's a Reb's
decision and it's because it's it's a
Reb's tkit. This is Reb's job. This is
the Reb's tkid and as as the Reb said
about the firba that he uh that the
kebab could have brought Mashiah himself
and decided to have all the join him. So
the same that they said about the could
have built himself and he wanted to have
all the join and the did this about
he could have wrote wrote it himself and
he had all the join in the point is that
theb wants every that's he gave over the
job to every single Jew that it's all of
our we theb brought us all in and not
only are we part of it but we have to
take responsibility for the for the
goal. In other words,
you could say that uh we have to do what
the rebba tells us to do and theb you
know takes it to the goal makes come but
now the the the bottom line the goal is
also part of it. We have to know that
that that that the job of of of bringing
the entire world to Msiah is in our
hands and we are given the
and uh and it's our job we have to do it
sai with bringing the the Jewish world
and bringing the non-Jewish world and uh
yeah one of the integral components of
being aim
and whether it's
or
these days give us an opportunity to
connect with ourim to connect with each

So
you said everything very factual. So I
don't know if I should bring any shilus
and then I don't want to ruin it.
No m maybe may maybe we should talk
about it.
>> Okay.
>> What does it mean? What does it mean the
the of the addition of gula?
What? What is what's the question? No,
>> the Reba said it uh the Reba said this
many all throughout the nas many many
times. Then there's and there's 30
years. How does that fit in with the
whole thing?
Um
well, what what what does it mean a
generation? What does gener what does a
generation mean?
And based on what? Based on who is a
generation? the the determined.
>> Okay,
>> good question.
>> So, so
a generation
a generation mean the generations are
determined not uh not by uh not by kul
and the generations are determined by by
the ni every every generation has every
generation I mean who even told us about
generations where do we even know about
generations from like the world is
existing 5,78 you know and and who who
told us about generations this whole
this whole thing about the seven datas
and the whole thing and all
>> this is all created this all was told to
us by the I mean even I mean who did
they speak in this slashian generations
>> it's from I mean it's based on the on
the medish right
>> yeah
from the is the one that said that
there's seven and
>> who who told us about dus who told us
about this whole thing the told us said
in the rebba found it important
>> that in his very first mimer which by
the way it's pett I I sometimes I know I
know for myself that sometimes the
things that are so that we know
sometimes the things that like
I was actually just now I was sitting
with a a teenage boy that uh that that
thinks that because of October 7th got
very inspired about Yiddish. He's
learned
his bar mitzvah but as Reb said in
American culture the bar mitzvah is a
graduation from Judaism. So he walked
Kogill they he you know got this
associated and on his own he was
inspired to get involved in the Yiddish
guide. So last over the last year we
became very close. He come he's going to
college next year. Anyway, this Jewish
boy tell tells me that one of his his
regret in life like what bothers him is
he wish he would have been raised as a
from kid as a kid that had Yiddish in
his life the in his life. And that's
that's one of his regrets.
His regrets
one of the things that you know hurts
him. So I told him back I said you know
that actually there's a big advantage to
being in your place because now you
appreciate it. you know, you're a 16 17
year old kid, you appreciate what
Yiddish is all about. You appreciate
you, you appreciate I said there
unfortunately sometimes when you're when
you're raised in it that it's it's it's
hard to appreciate what you have because
it's natural comes obvious to you. So
I'm saying is I think that sometimes you
know the things that we are raised with
and we have in our mother's milk we we
lose um sensitivity and and appreciation
for the godless of it. But one of those
things there's many things but I think
one of the things that I think I think
this I think sometimes we me I'll talk
for myself you know we we we we uh
forget and and and lose appreciation for
what that means and and how
revolutionary and how amazing and how
uplifting how inspiring all of these
things. Um, which is by the way why
we're officially meant to dab every day
and think about the the godless of the
there again and again and again and
>> to reappreciate it
>> to to yeah to to again remember what's
going on to realize but anyway one of
the things is
the fact that the showed up fact that
comes the first day of in a little room
in 770
with a few hundred people and says the
bus which is I till today is could blow
you off you know makes it's unbelievable
it's part unbelievable the freed do that
do that do that to do that like pasha
coming the first day
first day there's nothing like I don't
want to I want to be careful with my
words I mean like
how do you like if you think for if you
think a regular person a
regular leader
you know what do you have to show for it
like what's
like that's it this
this is a generation that it's it's all
here all now this is it like it's such a
it's an unbelievable
um so anyway so the deba says and that
and so how do we get to basani say yeah
anyway so how do we get here how do we
get to basani
>> we're talking about that the that the is
the one that that introduced the the
>> concept is the yeah so the reb is the
one that that taught us from day one
>> saw thought it was important to tell us
about this whole idea like how many of
the
knew about this medish I mean officially
I think the rebu
>> okay but how many people and did he go
through the medish I don't I don't
remember I don't know
I'm saying it's
I'm saying the med of of
okay
>> yeah anyway
Obviously Basani brings it but like to
that that parallel in such a clear way
that there's seven generations and this
is the dashi and this is the last gen
generation and even if the didn't say
first of all the did say the term
throughout the years a few times but the
main thing the said very often was very
very often is the last generation of
first generation of gula and the said in
the put added in that
is all
you know why are we malus and who
decided based on what it's very clear
that this that the
each is a comes is not just a leader in
other is the one who's the t practical
technical leader of of that group the
rebba is is a no hashem is the is is is
is hashem's representative here in this
generation
to give the theme to give the charge of
this generation. What's our purpose?
Where we headed? Where we going? Where
we're coming.
Um he he's the he's he's the king. He's
the leader. He's the one that's that
that leads the charge and tells us where
where we're going, where we're headed,
what what's the point, where's the
purpose, where we start, where we end.
And the Reb told us day one the first
thing he found important to tell us.
They didn't say after 40 years he had so
many so many day one there was no there
was no there was no anything started
from day one saying that there's seven
and started from the and it corresponds
to the
is this generation and and the says that
everything that was done from from the
to now to the was all for this
generation.
So even though
we're obviously much bigger maybe means
there's a concept that told that that he
that he's
and you're the one that's going to
actually do the job to to the purpose of
creation which is
to bring
no need to bring the back down. So the
says this is the tap of the generation.
So that tapid has still not been
completed yet. First of all, the tap was
started and not only started but very
strongly as the said throughout the
years um said education day is is a
newlav in this concept but and said
mashia is already being pilb
said that the the creation of the UN uh
started or whatever was built in I
forgot the details goes through all the
details about the connection between the
to the fact
whatever uses that that
so the generation is cosman that is a
nsi that's a generation and uh and the
the the generation was set clearly by
the and told that tapka does not fully
materialized the generation continues
I mean think that that's that's very
that's very very straightforward I mean
how how what other way could there be
>> okay
>> what's what's the generation because
some
but the say the said that even people
that that were born before before
were born again after I think of
that everyone is born with the with the
with the soap. So uh we we all have the
the tat so we're either 123 or 75 and um
and we see the world from that
perspective and um and that's it and
it's after so we already have
my father always likes to quote what the
told
Nathano went went to the the he was
starting his new career he became a
Israeli politician
>> I think he said it on the on the podcast
>> who said my How was that about it? Yeah.
>> So, and said I'm also my in the
beginning of my of my career.
>> Yeah.
In the beginning of the career. It's
after the rebro
after the said
no what what does that mean? But is in
the beginning of the career like
and whatever then whatever I think we
could talk about after I personally
think that
The Reb wanted the ultimate of both. The
Reb wanted the ultimate of Gili of of
and the ultimate of the Reb wanted the
ultimate of
and the ultimate the
wanted should be both together and
that's the ultimate
um
saying we had both
>> that was trying to do both. I'm afraid
we only had one or not. We didn't have
enough of the other before.
It was the ultimate isgalis
and the wanted that we should be able to
pass be able to enjoy and appreciate
this gal and at the same time that we
should we should bring our with us that
we should come as in our
and buy in and however much we bought in
ultimately we were always on the reb's
uh mak we were always hanging on the
rebas
And I I I just think that that's that's
the that's I remember as a kid when I
used to watch the video
and my father pointed out to me that
that after the tells
a second later
whatever
and I always think to myself like I
don't understand if in 770
who screamed M the second after they
ever finished the and it looks like
they're you know shell shocked and the
reb himself is made tells Alagari
seconds later then no one cares and had
no impact on anybody
but if then no one cared and basically
was like saying there's nobody home now
so now today years later anyone should
care
but whatever I think when I got older I
think it's it's very understood and and
and that's not that's not a question
yeah why were why were they screaming
out because screamed
The said
that basically people don't care about
mashia because they care about it. They
care are screaming now because the said
to do it. So the said we do it. Of
course the tells us to care about
mashia. Did any really care about
mashia? If I cared look how many times
people on this podcast will say and and
there's a truth to that that we didn't
need mashia. We had the Reb who needed
Mashiah when he had this
and and and then and then comes the
weird question. Um
I think Rebas also said the Reb is
crying
about Mashiach and the is like what what
Mashiah everything's great and I I think
to some degree I I I believe that many
of many of us I think myself included I
think till today we have a we're making
a mistake in this concept. In other
words, when you hear people say that we
want Mashiah so we can see the Reb
again, I think is uh is is a failure, a
big failure because obviously you know
the screamedness and olive we had the
Reb standing there and the Reb was
really not happy was not happy with that
situation.
So, so to to say that we need we want
mashia so we could see the reb again
against we could be by against I could
be against I could bring my children to
see the which by the way just now was
surfacing around WhatsApp but the rebba
said in Zion by in Paris when he went to
pick up his mother he told he said I
can't understand why you guys are not
going to New York to see the to see the
freed so theb said a line he said
regarding those who saw the already
you're not you're not you're not you're
not you don't have you Don't you know
you don't have to see the
and regarding those
regarding those who uh who uh who never
saw the
but like the fact that we need to see
the rebba and the fact that our children
you know me me and you we both were had
the to see the even though we hardly
remember but so we need to see the
because we need to see the reba for sure
and our children need to see the
in other words the fact that we have to
see the that's not even a
Um and and it's it's an unbelievable and
especially when we think about our
children. Um it's it's the most painful
thing that the that our kids don't see
the rabba. um you know do a parents care
you know that the feeling from parents
or their children that's it's one of the
most painful things I think to any
parent that
that their kids don't don't see the
um so in other words we that
it's not even
yet mashiach is not just that first of
all we don't need to see the
kesh that um that the wrote inf was
printed
The people ask I say that we're going to
see the and theb will take us to
first
and then this and then that and then
and then
so how could it be I say that we should
see the and then theb will take us to so
theb says that's not of but what the but
the rebba says
of individual ual was already and will
be before Mashia. In other words,
there's a concept of
>> it's there's been
gives a of
Yeah.
>> Yeah. In other words, the stories in
about it also. Yeah.
>> Yeah. And the Reb quoted
there's a concept that throughout Jewish
history there were people that that
passed away and they and they and they
came back to life and that's nothing to
do with the coming of Mashia do with
that's going to be when Mashiah comes.
So the says very clearly that the freed
is in that is is going to have an
individual
and um and and he's gonna come before
Mashiah comes before this Mashiach.
So um I mean whatever I'm not going to
get into details but anyway I think I
think so so we don't practically need
mashia to come to see the that's first
of all. So the the bakash that we want
to see the is not necessarily connected
or intertwined with the coming of Msiah
and we need to see Mashiah because we
need to see the because it's because
it's
need to see the reba our children need
to see the we need to see the
just like it was inf or in or
but that's not mashiach mashiach means
mashia means as the says
when theb gal the
that is in because there's one
that is there's no there's one the fact
that there's one corner of the world
that the is not revealed that causes to
be can't handle it and I think you know
how many people relate to that I should
care that there's there's a corn in the
world I'm do I care
and even if I go to that that
I'm doing it because the Reb wants me to
and I know it will give the rebas
as someone said in one of the uh Zooms
that that was the one of the podcasts
that was the the the competition to get
the Reb to smile in other words so yeah
to get the Reb to smile it's a very of
thing but ultimately it wasn't because
we bought into what the Reb is trying to
accomplish it's because we love the Reb
so much and we are so and the the
greatest thing we could have done is to
give the Rebas
that's not a bad thing. It's a very good
thing. But did we buy into the
do you like, in other words, do you like
are you in love with what the Reb is in
love with? The fact that wants in every
single corner of the world, are you into
that or you just into that because you
love the Reb and the Reb is into that.
And when the Reb is saying that we we
say because
you don't really care about Mashia, you
care because the Reb said to care. You
don't even care. You're saying the Reb
said the said to put on put on the film.
Thebia,
I saw
the Reb speaks about um about how when
you deal with another Yid when you reach
out to another Yid and the Reb says um
that you should that uh that you that
the Yid should that in order to have
influence another Yid has to be
and the Yid the Jew that you're trying
to influence to Yiddish whatever feels
from you if you mean it or not, if you
care for the person or not. Do you love
do you love me? When you come and tell
me to put on fill and to learn to light
candles, do you care for me or not? And
based on how much you care for that
person, that's how much influence you'll
have on that person. Then the said
what's the problem?
You're doing I don't care about the guy
I'm talking to. I'm doing what the Reb
said.
So the Reb said the fact of the matter
is people could feel people sense if
you're just doing it because you're
doing it because you're told to do it or
you're doing because you really care
about the person. Then the says uh the
said if we would really be mush
and we really really in other words I I
don't remember if the said spelled it
out or not but the concept bas in other
words if you're really really musher
even if you don't care about the other
Jew if if you if the is if the becomes
your like
so then you're totally you have no your
your own so then when you go speak to
just beside your will the love to him in
other words if you're really bought to
the in a real emiss away in a real way
then when you talk to another Jew the
Jew should feel from you the love
fact of the matter is most of us are not
on that level so all the big
we say we're only doing it because we
care about the says
you're not such a big so therefore when
you go to theid and you stop in the
street or you try to get into your only
reason why you're telling it to him is
because the reb told you to do it and
yourself your own feelings you don't
give you don't give that that much about
that Jew He feels it and the and and the
influ and the response is in in kind
he's not interested. So therefore the
says because most of us are not real are
not really ble therefore in order to
influence another theid has to feel that
we really love them really care for him.
So in other words, I think the same
about Mashiach you have to that for
Mashiach that when the Reb says means
you're you're you can't handle it. You
can't you're asking you want it to end
and that means is that you have to
really you have to buy in just like the
screams that we have to to some degree
really care for this. Um and I think
that's what the reb and that that was
the Reb's um frustration and uh and and
I think it was very hard for for
experiencing
the Reb said many times that by
the didn't exist when you were in the
presence you didn't feel the when you
were in the Reb's presence when you were
in around the you didn't feel the you
didn't feel the need for Msiah it's it's
it's not these are not fake things are
real. This is real things
and yet
the is not the is not when you're on the
level it's not the is not happy with
that wants to take this in other said in
that
as soon as you walk as soon as you go
over the as soon as you go over the how
do you say in English
>> the doorpost
>> the doorpost of the that's already it's
missing in the
bias of the so anywhere That's not mayor
the is in how it is in his room and the
reb
that's not that's already and we have to
make in other words like the said
the the goal is to make every piece of
this earth the's room that every piece
of this earth should be 770 should be
the md should be and there's a that
really talks to me about this con I feel
like sometimes you know do I care about
there's a from zan like a famous um trim
people is very famous because the Reb
spoke then about the the story of the
swarm court case then very you say the
sticky things about it the also said a
very powerful about um
which actually was since October 7th was
translated by it and was inspired that
whole
towards the end of that um which
obviously everyone should watch that
it's a very powerful if you didn't see
it yet um regarding our our situation
today and whatever anyway but at the end
of the says why am I screaming like who
what's the point who in other words
who's listening and who's who's is this
accomplishing anything gives three
answers says first of all because
that's first of all
it hurts then it hurts
>> it hurts it hurts he's screaming second
of all the said
you see Jewish blood being spilled, you
have to you have to do something about
it. You can't just stumb stand there
idly and do nothing.
St. I think for each one of us when we
hear the yen are being killed and in the
streets in Israel has to make we have to
scream what what's going on over here.
Um and third of all the Reb said every
we all are we all of
was
he dreamed and he dreamed and he and he
sat in jail and what happened at the end
that he became the the this the prime
minister or whatever he became the
second in command to Egypt which was the
was was the superpower of the world at
that time and he came to a point that no
one was able to lift a hand or a foot
without Y without without listening to
YF. In other words, Ju dreamed and
dreamed and la became the king.
Basically he he took over and the Reb
said every
if it wouldn't be for being you would
never be able to handle the of you never
able to handle these
says smiles
that they're saying basically I don't
have a dream there will come a time that
I don't remember don't quote me I'm
saying a was wrong but I don't believe
that I'm not I don't such a dream that
there'll come a time that no one will
lift a hand or a foot without asking by
me such a dream and there laughs I don't
have but
like that that I hope my dream basically
what is my dream that everything I'm
saying will bring
that there'll be additional protection
because of what I'm screaming now my
dream is that it'll actually have an
influence and Jews will be more safe in
Israel
But to me what I took from that was when
I saw from the first time and every time
I see it the fact that like I don't have
such a dream like in other words such a
wild dream that no one will do anything
without lifting their hand on their foot
even such a dream I don't have I felt
that that that's that's that's our dream
that that's that's what dream at least
that's my dream that became my dream of
uh the messianic era that uh that that
a hunter. I mean you have to let's go
back to
without
was was
came to that that is that is the vision
of Mashiach that
so in other words how for for for people
that have that have a hard time taking
of and and and and uh caring about it
that much uh because we're because you
know we we like and other things. So I
think that that the vision that in other
words that if you're a realb if you
really love theba you really care for
the rebba how could you suffice with the
fact that you need to see the rebba with
you need your children to see the rebba
how how could you sit how could you be
and I think that's I think that's what
bothers the rebba also I mean that's
screaming in other words
there's a speech that that is spoke
which many people were upset about um in
he says everyone's all happy
said where's all the millions of Jews
wants millions of Jews to be here wants
all of the yidden to be whole all of
humanity
in other words
wants something a lot bigger than this
so in other words
and and he says he says you know
that that's not why is
Again, I'm not getting into justifying
that speech or not just but there's a
certain truth whether whether or not
that speech was good or not. There's a
certain truth to to what he's what he's
saying. In other words, it we have to
lose sleep that the Reb is losing sleep
over Mashiach and we weren't there's a
video of the dancing of after me. So, so
Tuesday Shabas spoke very strongly about
Mashiah, very very strong
gave about to come to gave it to the Reb
when the Reb was on the way out. Yeah.
So there's videos of the dancing of
Shabas after that. So all the dancing is
till till then was
that night there was a lot of
you have guys
you know jumping up and down
so someone grabs the mic and uh I don't
know whatever someone grabs a mic and
says says uh he says
he said
Again, I don't know who it is, but I
think the vert was very true. Everyone's
screaming at makinik.
You're with big smiles on your face
screaming m
>> there's only one person that's
>> Yeah. The only person here in this room
in this movement that cares about
Mashiah is right now. Um, in other
words, and and like again, I'm not
putting down anyone that was dancing,
hey, and I'm not saying I think would do
anything different, but I but there's a
certain here that wanted the worldb
wanted to take over the world. The
wanted
should happen and were happy. We were
content with the fact that we had a
place and we had a place by and we had
it was about us.
That's a beautiful thing. It's a high
level and and but but it's but it's yes
at the end of the day it's yes we
weren't fully and and this is all to say
that I think today unfortunately that's
the only way in other words I'm afraid
the reason why happened was
to win the warb
and one of the years theb said that
to revealed life in other words that the
melik really passes away. He throws away
his
in order to get the
soak
that the winning the war is so ingrained
in the essence of the king that his
revealed life is less worth it than that
that the only way that if
that it's up to us and we had a hard
time stomaching that at the moment
obviously I mean we're we're standing in
the aftermath right it's 30 it's almost
31 years later that basically now is the
time there's no more there's no there's
there's no short in other words we can't
anymore um in other words we can't we
can't say oh you know we have mashia
already so we we have to like have need
kabala sale from mashia we have to
basically realize that we have to buy
into the to the reb's mission we have to
buy in and really believe in mashiach
and care about mashiach and care about
what mashiach means uh and what it means
to us and what it means to the world and
be dedicated to that not just because we
want our life to be better. Not just
physically, but spiritually. Not just
because we want to see the not just
because we want our kids to see the
Reba. That's that's a very valid
important
existential
need for us. But in addition, we have to
buy into the Reb's mission into the idea
of
that there should be not one that's not
with that's not that's not with with
that's not aware of the Reb that doesn't
know about the Reb that doesn't that's
not following the Reb's teachings that's
not learning the Reb's
that and and and and it's not it's we're
not talking dreams are this are reality
president the president of of of of
Argentina. a nonju just showed up to
Moses gift to the prime minister of
Israel, a picture of the prime minister
with the Reb and the prime minister of
Israel makes a speech in the Knesset
that he went into the private home of
the president of Argentina and what was
on the wall a picture of the Reba and
then the the speaker of the Knesset
quotes the Reb in his speech in honor of
the president of Argentina and the
president of Israel speaks about the Reb
in honor in honor of the president of
Argentina and then the next hours after
the the president argentina leaves
Israel which the prime minister of
Israel tell them that the is prophet
minutes later starts the war in Iran.
Where was the president of the United
States who right now is talking about
getting involved in in the war in Iran?
He went to the Reb for Abra when he when
he ran when he went ran we went when he
was running for elections. The point
basically is is that the Reb is is
um we talked about what the Reba said in
a natural way Mashia coming that uh that
one person will have an influence on all
the nations of the world. I mean that
it's happening in front of our very eyes
and years after Gimlas what does it mean
where why doesn't President Kavier ask
uh is it now uh what what does it mean
but the Reb said the last generation of
GS I I didn't hear that he asked that
question
and I and I actually heard Rabbi
Greenblat said that uh heard from his
aid has a connection to President that
every day he looks at the Reb's picture
for 15 minutes and he's m he's he
meditates
So, President
and we're talking about presidents. I
know people by me, non-Jews by me that
that's that touched the rabbis and a
week later they became the biggest
actually I'm right I was talking in the
beginning
I'm starting in a few weeks a a a 12
episode podcast the import very very uh
important organization in town dedicated
to the Reb's letters
dedicated to the Reb's letters from the
book uh letters for life and this was
not my idea this wasn't something I
pulled off this was something that she
wanted someone that's not Jewish
English,
a leader of a very important
organization, prominent organization,
and she was so inspired by the Debb's
letters that she feels that she this
this going to be a new podcast. Um so
the it's it's it's um
the concept of Lebanon yab is that next
to the ocean it's it's dry
I think
and uh it's p it's it's a shud it's like
the world there's no one in the world
that sees it this way besides I think
some of us and I think each one I'm not
talking I'm not pointing fingers at
anybody I'm pointing fingers at myself I
think um you know we have to we have to
push it realize
And I think um your brother-in-law
mentioned on our podcast that that he
the many you know that he helps very
often a lot of them is is part missing
in in in confidence self-confidence who
they are and what they represent. I I I
I really I believe that I know for
myself. I mean you look at the first of
the from the Yudskunic
uh you know my grandfather whatever
other people I mean these guys were from
day one you look at the mosquitoes they
went with such a great with such
confidence
why because when you when you were when
you were in the Reb's presence the Reb
lift the Reb picked you up you are the
king of the world you presented
there was nothing there was nothing more
and so today you need so we have to sit
down if you're or if you're that's
really every
to think about who the is who who who do
we stand for what's
the guide what's the what's the and
what's the of our generation who is he
what does he stand for what what does he
represent and I was chosen I just saw
Someone posted said how from all the
billion people the chose a few people
and gave them his
out of all the billions of people the
chose us and made us and made made us
inv
takes each one of us and chooses each
one of us and says your job and your
mission in this world is to bring the
ultimate purpose of creation into this
world and it's
in Russia you have to believe is concept
of we see it happening in front of our
eyes the world is changing as we speak
presidents and leaders of the world are
coming to these things didn't happen 40
35 years ago when we saw the life was
nice and dandy in in labav standards
years after 31 years later the's
influence is
you think has pressure to be
anyone's convincing anyone Kavier he's
going to be a he's going to be avance or
not be a musher if he's not going to
come to the oil someone told that to
Trump I mean what do you think they have
a they have a peer pressure they have
Jewish mom's guilt they have a they have
a mashia telling them they're not going
to be cool enough I mean what what do
you think is happening here and what
about all the what about all the
amount of today the mount of Eden that
are that are connecting to I speak to
them I I speak to them clear I I speak I
ask them I asked
very questions I want to say over here
about things that I would think that
would deter them from coming to
and not the famous things that many
people think the things that bother a
lot of the is not the things that many
people may think and I asked them why
why and you hear from them you hear why
they're coming they're coming for the
they have no pressure they have no peer
pressure to be
they have pressure not to be
so we see how the world is changing in
front of our eyes And the fact that the
you know what does it mean these advant
that in other words
but you needed maybe you needed amal
31 years ago maybe you needed faith
needed to believe needed today who needs
amuna I I don't I don't need any amuna
whatsoever that the rebba is alive and
the rebba is with us and the rebba not
only is with us like he was then but
he's meet as the rebate
Um and and it's not so many times we
love the you know
that makes no is alive and that's why
said once
>> but we see it it's not that the that
we're making we're making it live on the
is making it live and that's why we're
we're alive and that's why we're able to
go and touch other
Anyway, it's it's it's it's so it's so
simple. It's
it's it's uh we have to just go out of
our little uh labavage box out of our
little uh uh and break out of our our
goals our
break out of our learn the
and connect to the and see the from
theb's glasses which I think is another
thing I I uh I think that um
but I think one of things that I feel
sometimes that is missing by many
people. Um
I again I want to take that back. I
don't not many people I think sometimes
it could be missing by some is uh is is
is the
s watching it s listening to it s
learning the
and I think um and I think the reason
why sometimes it's overlooked is because
you know before
you the start and you joined or you
listened to the hookup or if after you
weren't in town you read the but what
did you learn what was the you learned
you learned the liquid of that
But uh today when theans are not like
that right we have to make an effort to
learn the or to listen or to watch the
and
let let's face it was was a was was
a uh is is um is officially with the
mind of the
so there's a certain style of how theb
wants to be done that it should be
appropriate for
Yeah. So it's 100% the paid a million%b
put invested in
but if you want to experience theb
teaching you the inspiring youba talks
unfiltered unaltered direct fresh
straight
you have to experience the you have to
there's a way how the rebba speaks
there's a style the rebba teaches and I
I that's what I think I think when you
go through abran
the first two the three the
whatever the whole the whole thing you
go through the entire
and you do it week after week after week
consist in a consistent basis
theb teaches you pasha takes you by the
hand like a teacher and teaches you how
to think how to look at things how to
see things how to view things the
clarity that you get from from the from
the sidetrack things from the the musg
from they have a style the Reb's cook to
you start seeing the world from the
Reb's glasses. You see the Reb's world
the world from the Reb's glasses and
anything you learn from the Reb's I
thinks very much from the whole from
beginning to the end all the different
all the the Reb gives you how he thinks
the Reb he's he puts himself in a
hea teaches you and he uplifts you and
when you learn and I mean I know for
myself I'm uplifted I feel like I'm
walking in a different world that the
the Reb just picked me up and brought
him brought him into his world and when
you're on the reb's world all of a
sudden there's no all of a sudden
there's no hakbas there's there's
nothing could stand in the way of the I
mean just you know some weak sometimes
people used to like think make make
jokes of the people that are learn the
of or listen to the of it's as if it's
like oh you're into the politics you're
into the the action
>> I think I think the once said something
like that there's those that only wake
up those yeah Yeah. And I think they say
the was the to put those in the back,
not to put it in the regular. Bottom
line is the spent a lot a lot of time
talking about those these topics and I
could say for myself the amount of and
the amount of um
that I got from
hearing the scream
I mean you you can't hear those words
and it doesn't get into your like you
like you p you p for forever
screams
When you hear those, we hear the say
that you you start believing and living
that the entire world is really totally
in a
that the whole world like I mean what
the whole testing takes from from
and makes us like the whole world is
going to plot the whole world will go
this way or go that way
Boom. Like that. That's the you say that
you say
no the entire world not just the world
Israeli policy the good America with you
Washington that's the beginning and the
middle such a concept comes from only
from first of all it could only come
from a person that really really
believes in the really really believes
in and really believes that every single
movement of this world is in in in the
made the world the pin
is
anyway the only way we could see
ourselves live first of all personally
as aid as aid in our personal lives to
keep to to to be on to believe in the to
believe in to believe in mitzvah to be
and to bring this out to the world to go
to the world and and influence other
Jews influence non-Jews and make them
closer to we have to we have to we have
to see that the reality of the world is
the reality of the world is
And this you get from theb and we get it
from theb but I really think that from
thebins
there's no
of there's no of
but but theb does over there it's
something that that I I don't I think
that the
to that that should be you know people
people love it nowadays the talking
point is the Jewish pride Jewish pride
what Jewish pride
That's Jewish pride. That's what that's
what real Jewish pride means. Not the
nonsense that that we see from some
certain organizations. Jewish pride
means that the
and that's that's Jewish pride. So yeah.
Anyway, and that comes to Mashiach and
comes to all the is uh and um yeah. So
we need we need to listen to that. We
need we uh need to strengthen ourel in
the learning the Reb's and to listen to
and to learn the Rebans and um and to
really start uh taking on if the Reb
says to really start believing in the
Reb's cause to really start believing in
in the Reb's mission and that and that
and I think I think go turning back to I
think that this is something that is one
of the ways how that the Reb that they
to me at least Mashiach the fact that
has Mashiah has take over the whole
world right Mashiah is going to be
physically a melik that the whole entire
world will be publicly will be
and and I think one of those ways that
that that's a big to that and again back
to about confidence I speak to I speak
to friends of mine that are you know
30 years ago each one goes to a place of
thousands of Jews and whatever and
that's small places a small place have
6,000 Jews a small place but today are
going to places of mish hundreds of 100
yd and 200 300 mish very very small
places and sometimes and I know for
myself we could feel like we could feel
I mean lonely forget about it but like
you know bored what do we do and and
when we already do something only a few
people show up and uh and we feel like
we're doing nothing what I what I
learned for myself and I and I to my is
that we should stop looking at ourselves
that way we're not here to deal with
just a few hundred Jews and if the few
hundred Jews don't show up I mean first
of all that itself is the but it's more
than that we are the ambassador to this
city. The city has 10,000 20,000 50,000
100,000 whatever this area has. Each
person that's in this place is
to reach out to them.
You are the representative of of of
gadlkite to make sure that these people
are going to be ready for mashia which
is through making sure that all those
kids have in their school's moment of
silence which is making sure that every
one of those kids have a pushka which is
making sure that all those kids uh
celebrate their birthday and not just
kids all people um which is makeul
so all of a sudden the the the the job
is endless and said the resources are
endless you don't have to ask the five
and a half balabatan Jewish balabatan to
give to to give money to kabad all of a
sudden what do you mean if I'm if I'm if
I'm influencing thousands of children to
to have a moment of silence who should
be paying for that you know so so and
then the said by deal dealing with will
be financially beneficial for for the
for so um all of a sudden your whole
perspective changes your whole horizon
changes you're
from to this area you represent there's
nothing you're the most important person
in town you're the most dignified person
in town. You're the most busiest person,
the most most of a person in town. And
and again, it's not about you. It's not
about building up your own ego. The more
it's about you, the the worse you do.
The more it's about ourselves, then the
worse the worse of a job we'll do. The
more we master what we represent. But we
have a recognition and we have we
realize that we represent the we
represent the represent
to be the of this generation and we
represent him and it's not about you.
Then then there's nothing that could
stop you. Then then you have you have
infinite you have in infinite
capabilities you have infinite talents
you have infinite infinite possibilities
and there's no door that should be
closed for you and even when a door is
closed for you it's only you know that's
temporary and
when you have that perspective then uh
you don't you don't get turned down so
badly you don't get uh defeated so much
and a no is not so so uh so hard to
handle and uh whatever so it's going to
happen the is going to gonna just like
just like till now there there are
things that the is working on And the
Reb is still working on it. Audits is
one of the things screamed about for
years. The Reb deterred was screaming
for years. Watch a Israel did what the
Reb wanted? No. And October 7th
happened. The Reb was screaming for
years to prevent to October 7th and it
happened. But the Reb is told is and Reb
is going to and the Reb screamed by
it's going to it's going to prevail.
It took this long but it's going to
succeed. The Reb has timebas.
It's going to happen one way or another.
It's going to work. it's going to
happen. So um so therefore and the same
thing in our own this doesn't work that
doesn't work it's going to it's going to
it's going to prevail and uh and why is
it going to prevail not because you're
very powerful you're very smart you're
very t talented or because you know no
because because you represent the truth
you represent the emis and the will
always always will always be
>> okay so we should buy in
>> yeah we should buy in the and
we to see the before and
we should be able to see the Reb
physically and we should be able to see
that
should be in the sky and the entire
world should be
and
[Music]
God. Amen.
>> All right.
[Music]
