welcome to another episode of positivity today I have t who is a director in gcny doing day-to-day exciting beautiful stuff for them as I've seen behind the scenes where he directs like the shoots go ahead what's what do you do for people that want to know creative space I like to say gcny if we do it I get it done okay you know I don't maybe I don't necessarily do everything myself right right you know I don't sit down at the computer and design anymore or write anymore yeah but um but you know we have a team of incredible writers designers directors and you know it's somebody's got to pull it all together yeah right so that's yeah that's me that's the other project managers also yeah yeah what do you think like defines a good uh uh commercial or a video or ad cuz I've seen you always like you do the the final touch-ups like take a step back a step forward what is that okay so to me it's about stickiness okay find stickiness right okay so stickiness is the ability for something to like right it could be a great ad you know be polished and beautiful and scripted and effects right yeah nobody's going to remember it after the fact it didn't stick right yep got to be sticky I love that I love that wow that's your own thing that's beautiful oh that's very nice you explained it very well um I have a lot of uh men that reach out to me bam and whatever they're like you know I created did this video and I did this and I did that and I want to get into this space what advice do you have to them like how do they get started well number one is just do it okay right don't stuck for themselves do it for yourself right you want to be a Creator do it for yourself do it for your family you have a family chat start sharing things on your family chat right I'm saying you know you have to be able to do it for yourself before you can do it for anybody else so somebody told me yesterday I'm because I'm going to a specific person he told me yes I do my family videos I do videos for my job but he wants a video video position in a company he wants to get his creativity out even more so how do we go from the video chat to the the next step in your opinion well one thing I'd say you know if you want to get into like writing or anything a creative Industries working in an agency is will be like the boot camp for working at gcny is like it's a boot camp right we we are driven right we work hard we play hard you know right we had a lot of fun putting this together yeah but but the idea is that like you know you want to be a creative and you want to do it well like it's work you have to put in the work and do people have the opportunity to work here or is this are people open to that or if you're good enough we can talk right what defines the what makes the decision when somebody wants to sign up here are they bringing an ad or they bringing are they bringing a sample what are they doing yeah I mean look if you want to be a copywriter let's say okay if we're hiring copywriters then we'll you know I want a writing example from you yeah and that's only half the story right how old do you work Under Pressure yeah you know oh really is that something that's do you work well under pressure you got to yeah there's like no choice right W and it's you know it's part of the job because first of all you're talking about print deadlines things like that and things are planned in advance but like this is marketing this is the real world things change on a dime yeah right you have to be ready so working under pressure is like a must but then if you're creatives right I'm talking to you now yeah you want to work in the field got to learn how to take criticism right sorry y I'm saying as as you know I I used to be a creative myself I used to be a writer I used to be a designer and it's like so tough right I made this thing it's perfect and that's the thing is like you can create like a piece of art right but doesn't mean that it's going to be the best ad right we make this a g we make good things not nice things it happens to be that everything we make is nice also yeah but everything that we make is Purpose Driven right right right where do you yourself in 5 years from now gcny what are you talking about okay I got my no but but but yeah I mean gcny is like we're growing at a crazy rate right now you know we've been hiring we're getting clients so you know onward and upward wow um a message to all those people of inspiration are people that you're obviously in a space where you're enjoying what you're doing but not everybody is there what's a message that you can give these people are we talking like creative or like accountants cuz if you're an accountant cont I can I can't help you just in general yeah I mean loving what you do is like I so so blessed to work in such a field that like keeps me busy it keeps me active you know I love to wake up in the morning and go to work because like this is true fun like this is fun stuff wow if you can find a field like that like you're golden wow right but you know if you find a field and you don't get your joy from work you get your joy from others I like that's fine yeah but you know for me it's like such AA find your fun you're saying find your exactly find fun in I mean I I do believe that you can find fun in anything that you do yeah right it's Mary poin and every job that must be done there's an element of fun right find the fun and snap the job's the game wow find the fun thank you T appreciate your time great talking to you thank you
