Emuna Focus @ Night (on way To Rav Shalom Arush @ TLV) Awakening True Intellect - Likutei Halachos 4

Hey, Gvaltic. So, we are on our way from Shaare Tefillah. You see, this is learning Shaare Tefillah. But, after Mincha, on our way to a very special opportunity by JTLV, uh our good friend Rabbi Avichail is bringing Rav Shalom Arush in association with Unity Bookings, which is my whole thing. And Be Ezrat Hashem, we're in the car together with our holy brothers. Ari's leading the way, Baruch Hashem. And we have the opportunity tonight to really strengthen ourselves in Emunah. And as Hashem blesses with have it that every night we do a different learning. Like last time we had Tanya. Similar kind of concepts we spoke about there. Cuz everything always flows. This This is a relationship flow. We're going to throw in a little bit of relationship from Gedaliah and bring a bit of like energy of Emunah from Rav Arush. So, exactly what the Likutei Halachos is talking about, as you'll see, is what Rav Arush is probably the kind of concepts he's going to talk about. I had the merit to work with Rav Arush for 5 years and be his main guy in English and go on all his tours and and organize um online classes and studio. I've been uh tens and tens of guests, almost 100 um classes we did in the studio as well as all the different tours and classes all around America, Baruch Hashem. So, uh one of the main books that came out during that time period was Ohr Chodesh, a New Light. And I actually gave a class in it cuz it was such an amazing sefer. And that's one of the things Rav Arush he when he asked to come anyway, his goodbye and the main thing they ask is that they purchase hundreds of books. That's what he wants to get out of his books. So, Be Ezrat Hashem, we're going to get out of a little bit of a a connection to one of the books, Ohr Chodesh. But, the learning tonight is specifically Likutei Halachos, but you'll see how it connects in perfectly once I explain it and get into it. So, we're going to go into this concept from Rabbi Nachman of Breslov. He was the main talmid of Nachman ben Feiga ben Simcha zechuso yagen aleinu. And we're learning about the bechinas he's ohr yeshana, concepts of perceptions of godliness are attainable only through what? The lower wisdom and it's all related to waking up from sleep. Yeah, this has been the whole beginning of Likutei Halachos and Shulchan Aruch is about giving ourselves strength to wake up in the morning the right way. He's explaining it L'fi Pnimius, Kabbalah, Zohar, Chassidus. K'ilu Shechina Nimshach M'Ach M'Osh Tzois B'Chinas Shehi and it's Malchus HaSechel HaTachton. And now, Ki Smucha L'Chitzona. This is very deep concept but we're going to explain it B'Ezras Hashem Shamayim. For the essence of sleep derives from the need to counteract the Klipah. The external shells that are around and around. Yeah, but on our way to Tel Aviv, so this is exactly what we're about to do. To push away all those those counteract all those Klipah because this aspect namely the aspect of Malchus, the forementioned lower intellect, we've been talking about this again and again, is adjacent to the impure extraneous forces. K'ilu Shechina, this so we said the main chain of the whole thing is to bring us that malchus which brings us the the an awakened intellect. He madregah ha chonesho hakadosh because malchus is the last outpost of holiness is known from Kabbalah. This is a very deep concept. The basic malchus this is the seichel tachton Rebbe Nachman uses in his lesson to signify essentially the same thing. The the sphere of malchus functions as a boundary between all that is inherently holy and the realm of the sitra achra, the other side. For those who acknowledge Hashem's kingship, malchus becomes a gateway into spiritual realm enabling them to perceive the light of godliness. But for those who reject the yoke of Hashem, malchus becomes prevents prevents a barrier preventing their entry into spiritual realm. So that's the the entrance way is malchus. This is where it's at. Begins at this space of malchus. And we have to realize that's where the battleground mostly is. In other words, the fellas are tough because the malchus falls among the four impure forces. This is the four kingdoms shame because it's chitzonius which is synonymous with extraneous wisdoms. So, we have the four kingdoms. You all know who they are, yeah? We went through four exiles. Famous exiles. Really began on a previous level in Mitzrayim, but then it expanded outwards into the four exiles of Bavel, Babylonia, and um then it was Ashur, or we say we say Malchus Paras u'Madai. And then there was Yavan, and then there was Eisav, yeah? Edom. And we say that we now we're sort of coming back to the fifth, which was the connects to the original galus of Mitzrayim, which is Yishmael. It's an extension of Edom. So, we have to deal with that place. We've got all these external wisdoms trying to take us away from our pure Am Yisrael emunah, like our truth. And this is what Rashi is talking about emunah. We're going to see. They seek to pull the holy lower intellect to themselves and power the external wisdoms through this intellect. That is written there as I speak in Sheina. So, the whole thing is to prevent the klipus from overpowering the intellect. We need to completely relinquish our conscious intellect. And how do we do that? By sleeping. Yeah, sleeping is very connected to emunah. The emunah is with the night time about to begin. The emunah we should have emunah in the nights by letting go. Night time is the time you let go. You're not in control. You're not running around running your businesses. You're in a state of letting go. And that gives you a level of emunah. And he calls my Shaul and the him the seichel b'kedusha. In other words, as long as a person can use his intellect in a holy fashion, through his intellect he can continue to obtain perceptions of godliness by indirect means. Yeah, that's by hakdamas. And that's something which we have to work on it. It takes effort a mail list. We have to almost we have to put energy into it. I the pole is going to be my love for bullying. But when the intellect begins to decline confusing thoughts overwhelm him. Like for example, if you're watching nonsense all day, yeah, like news feeds that are just you know or AI or like Tik Tok videos or you know, Netflix binging. Yeah, when one thing I just really try to stay away from any of those a long series. Is once you get caught up in one of those, you it's your cycle. Your intellect you don't sleep properly. You know, everything gets thrown off whack your schedule and everything else. Confusion strength and the firm and aspect namely the aspect of the extraneous wisdom which are the four kingdoms seek to gain strength to pull this holy intellect to themselves. So that's something you have to realize that it's not we don't really have such an an option to to not deal with this. We can't say, "No, you know what? You know, like I'll be all right." Yeah, because this is an actual reality of creation that we have these four exiles, these four kingdoms that we have to deal with. And it's if we don't deal with our intellect and work on ourselves and become more more shamaya, more shamaya, then the other forces are going to fill the space. There's never like So, people say I can just be like, you know, a part of a Jew or, you know, just like you know, a modern guy just sort of in the middle. There's no such There's no thing as real middle ground. There's no such thing as being like this There's no Even politically, there's no real middle ground. These independents, they end up going to have to make a choice. Either they're going to choose right or they're going to choose wrong. Yeah, and I don't mean that politically. I mean like truth or not. Yeah. So, they cuz we're in a war. Cuz you can show and chew and stuff cuz it's dust. And this is an inner war that we're going through. One must sleep then sleep is a departure of dust. Dust usually is something we want, but we have to [snorts] be thrilled that at the end of the day we have to let go of our dust and go into a moon. Like personally right now, going through a more challenging time of, you know, the war and certain things happened and financial stuff, business stuff, the only answer is Emunah. It's not going to help any person or any hishtadlus. Like I'll do everything I can, but in the end of the day it's really the answer is Emunah. That's really the only answer to to all our challenges. And I'm sure each person with each of their whatever their challenges, finding a shidduch or whatever it is, yeah? Having peace of mind, not feeling like mentally driven crazy by all these, you know, insane thoughts that people generally deal with mental wellness and stuff. Like here we have Sha'ashu'a Sitra d'Motsa'a Shelit. "When the Zohar Hakadosh and so too during sleep, the power of death holds sway as brought in the holy Zohar." It's a famous concept we know. Um it's 1/60th of of of uh death is like, you know, it's like uh is when we go to sleep. He asks "Mestalek Shechinah Shemesh more upon him." "By that time the vitality drawn from the Ruach Elohim to invigorate lower wisdom departs." This Gabin B'chinat Arba Malchuyos Shem Sitra d'Motsa'a. "And these four kingdoms, they take over." As Eicha Kiyam I'dei Emunah. "The only way we can deal with them in that time is through Emunah." I'dei Kriyas Shema She'al Mita B'Kavanah She'b'chinat Emunah. "And one of the things is we say Kriyas Shema in Ma'ariv and on our beds." And that it gives us the ability by joining into the absolute unity of Hashem, the oneness of Hashem with Kavanah, that focused intent gives us ability to fight off all the four kingdoms. Cuz what's the big Dalet at the end of the Shema? It makes the four kingdoms into one. You forget to the truth that everything is Hashem. So, all the galas is all the problems in the world, the four directions of life, you come back into the heart, the oneness. You bring in the olive all the way down through the seven heavens into this world, into the four corners. You're bringing Hashem's oneness into your life. For when the influences of the extraneous wisdom, these include all the many kinds of mental confusions that everyone in the world experiences at one time or another. We all get filled with them. Everyone gets confusion. Yeah? Let's be honest. All of us have gone through that. Sometimes it feel like we're like losing our mind a little bit. You know, how you know, the pain of life sometimes. It can really make us feel crazy and you just want to escape it. Yeah? Like do drugs or alcohol or sex or you know, all the things that people, you know, can get drawn into. For me, it's like music or everyone's got their escape escape mechanisms. Yeah? You know, it's smoking cig- smoking cigarettes has been a challenge for me recently. I funny enough, I haven't had an issue with cigarettes but I wish I hate cigarettes. He calls it a votazora. And a big credit to my son who transitioned from the army. We spoke about it yesterday. He brought his like the master, you know, it's a hard transition after you served in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria. He was telling more stories over shabbos. So crazy what they were dealing with. And you know, they smoke so much as like medicine in the army. And uh that was one of the main things people when they donated to me to buy things for the for the army that for my son's unit, the main thing they asked to donate for was cigarettes cuz they knew how important it was. He came out smoking like heavily and for about a year, he's been like trying to trying to reduce it reduce it. Baruch Hashem, he's quit. This week he quit smoking again. And then it's a big thing cuz he's been smoking since he was 15. So, it's a big transformation for his good. Keep it and you should be my savior that keep it social nation cloud coming in for bullying chasing cloud and bullying everyone has these bullying. Come on shove us right and ruin ruin ruin and all the negative extraneous thoughts and towards musings. I don't musings are but people can muse about crazy things and evil ideas. So, this all comes from the external forces. All these arise from these four kingdoms, these extraneous wisdoms. Now, if you see Rabbi Nachman just Rabbi Nasan, they often and repeat concepts again and again cuz that's how you internalize it by going over and over it. Thus as the neshama butoh kamuna, the neshama comes in the muna. This beautiful art neshama comes which is connected to the intellect cuz your neshama and your intellect we were learning about this yesterday. Tanya, Hochma Bina Daas Chabad is all about bringing the neshama, the Hochma, Bina Daas, bringing the higher level of your being into the reality into your everyday life. So, now we're just going to end off. This is the the the main point of the halacha. And even though sleep is of great benefit, we should all try to get sleep at a good time. Yeah, cuz it it prevents reinforcements of the other side of the klippa. One must nevertheless be strong-willed to avoid sleeping too much. And that's the here the lashon he says strong-willed. Yeah, we have to have this gabba. So, Reb Arish says ratzon, will is the key how you sleep in a holy way in a in elevated way. By having a strong ratzon, that will give you the ability to not um fall into all these negativities cuz if you really something, that's the key. You really want Hashem, you really want olam haklasha mayim, you really want to be a good person, serve Hashem, have a have a good be a good husband, be a good soulmate, be a good, you know, person in the world. It's all about developing the ratzon, the will. And that's the time of night is we're very connected. Ratzon and emuna are very connected. The kind of ratzon what you really want is what you're going to get. Okay, that's why we said you have to strengthen yourself like a lion's rise in the morning like it says in Shulchan Aruch to break the grip of sleep to engage in Torah study and prayer. If you're suppressing fears scary things seem to happen around you. If you're bottling up anger irritating stuff starts to keep appearing. If you're holding feelings of pride or insecurity you often feel dis disrespected. This happens because we notice things that match our inner feelings because you behave in ways that create these situations. We interpret neutral events that through the lens of our hidden emotions. The main message is our unexpected feelings shape our experiences. By acknowledging and processing our emotions instead of suppressing them we can change the kind of situations come to in life and this is inspired by book called Letting Go by David R. Hawkins. A seed for growth what we avoid feeling down this appears shapes how we see react and live. Unspoken emotions become the filter through which we experience the world. That's why doing the inner work and not optional is essential. When you feel your emotions on in an honest and with compassion, and lose the power to control you from the shadows, this is how you reclaim your life. Not by fixing what's what's outside, but releasing what's inside. You see, it's all an inner avodah. It's inner, it's pnimius. The more space you give your feelings, the less space they take up in your life story. Your life mirrors what your heart is still holding. The Gadol was talking about this today, that it's really you've got to be very real with yourself. Your inner space in your heart, you've got to leave space open for the good energy to come in. For the godliness, for the emunah, for the simcha. You've got to fill yourself up with good energy. And that that's a big big key to success in a in everyday life. And um with relationships, it's huge. Cuz if you're filled up with you're filling yourself up with good energy, that's what will overflow into your soulmate. And uh they're they're like you're like you become like the sun, and she she's the moon now lit up from your sunlight. And you it's it's a it's an awesome oneness that you're experiencing, because you're you're you're emanating together. You're lighting each other up with good energy and good good thoughts and good ways of being. And that that's the kind of life that will bring a lot of shalom bayit and peace and happiness.
