[Music] in a few days is rosh hashanah and what happens on rosh hashanah is that we all pass in front of hashem everyone jews gentiles animals creatures angels everybody now how do our sages call that kivnemaron what is first of all what we need to understand from that the commentary says that you can't trick yourself out of it everybody goes in front of hashem you can't now wake up late or not show up or think you can some way get away with it nobody gets away with it that's what the term wins keep name alone nobody and i'm saying jews non-jews animals creatures everybody stands in front of abundance but when you're counting one two three you're realizing the abundance the shaffer that hashem is giving to you now you understand wait a minute i'm only giving to hashem 10 it's not a lot this is something that we want to take to consideration is that sometimes we feel that we have to give hashem a lot wake up early in the morning three times a day to pray pray when i eat pray when i go to sleep give money learn torah do this don't do that one can say wait a minute i'm giving so much here it's too much but when you're looking at it from a completely different way especially on rosh hashanah how we're being judged one after the other it's for you to understand the abundance that hashem is giving you especially in rosh hashanah don't come and complain saying i didn't get this i didn't get married i didn't get paranasad i didn't do this i didn't do that you constantly have to have in the back of your mind the abundance that hashem is giving you and the way to have the abundance is to count everything that you have i have health my eyes can see i have teeth i can chew i have teeth my fingers work my legs work i can breathe i have both lungs that are breathing constantly focus on the abundance that hashem gives you when it comes to rosh hashanah you're being judged and you're in the back of your mind you're appreciative of the abundance that hashem is giving you you're going to be judged just the same way with the with appreciation with gratefulness don't look how much i have to give to hashem look how much hashem is giving me and when you focus on how much hashem is giving you and you see how much abundance you get to give a little bit to hashem it's not such a big deal you give whatever amount it is and if somebody comes and tells you give me a thousand dollars i need to pay for orphans i need to feed poor people i need to hold my sustain my yeshiva give me a thousand dollars give me two thousand dollars you say wait a minute two thousand dollars sounds a lot but how much hashem gave me she gave me 300 000 this year what what's 2 000 it's nothing it might come to you in one shot so you know what's the best thing to do when it comes to charity don't give it in one shot say okay i'm going to give now payments three hundred dollars every month and eventually will be three thirty six hundred dollars the whole year whatever it is what you constantly have to have in your mind is not how much you have to give to hashem is how much hashem is giving you and especially you want to adopt this attitude before rosh hashanah when you're coming and standing in front of hashem by saying don't say to hashem hashem i need to make money hashem i need to get married said thank you so much you gave me so much this year so much you gave me i'm so grateful i'm so humbled by what you gave me trust me that's going to make hashem want to give you 10 times more than what you really need so always remember how much hashem is giving you not
