Welcome back to the podcast. My name is
Iron Soil and you're watching Parsha
Inspired. Today's guest we're honored to
have Rabbi Hajiov. [music]
Welcome back.
>> Money won't matter in 2036.
>> It is impossible to indefinitely control
general super [music] intelligence.
>> There are some saying that by 2030 we're
done. AI is taking over and the Torah,
our Jewish wisdom, has given us signs of
the messianic age. There's many experts
in this field who have this prediction
that AI is going to take over and going
to wipe out all of humanity. And there's
this um I believe it's a Jewish guy
Yampolski was one of the experts
supposedly.
>> I suspect that the super intelligence
would be more conscious than we are.
>> So we're not special.
>> We never been. Based on current
experiments, they will sacrifice humans
if it means protecting themselves.
>> He had an interview recently and he says
by 2030 we're done. You said there's a
99.9% [music]
chance super intelligence wipes us out
within a century.
>> You know, based upon the uh lack of
oversight, of the power of AI, of it
wanting to [music] um spread itself and
seeing humans as not much of an obstacle
that it can very quickly get rid of if
it needs [music] to.
>> So basically what I'm saying is the
problem of controlling general super
intelligence is not solvable.
>> [music]
>> it is impossible to solve it. So if we
build it, we don't control it. The
outcome is bad.
>> It [music] isn't there to kill us, but
in order to take control, it wouldn't
have any second [music] thoughts about
um taking out all of humanity.
>> That's what I'm trying to say with it
specific timeline. Again, if it decides
to give us 200 years, we'll have 200
years. It is impossible to indefinitely
control general super intelligence. Then
again, we also have Elon Musk who just
did an interview with the economist.
>> Tell me what the world's going to be
like in let's say 10 years if you
succeed.
>> 10 years. So we're talking 2036.
>> Yeah.
>> Hopefully we'll both be around.
>> Hopefully. Yes.
>> We can we can
>> uh probably most likely we will be um it
it's hard to imagine the future that
where there's not an overwhelm over
overwhelming amount of artificial
intelligence. Meaning like I can tell 10
years I would expect artificial
intelligence to be far greater than the
sum of human intelligence like far
greater.
Um in fact I think AI may exceed the sum
of human intelligence
in about in around 5 years.
>> He says by 2036 there'll be no more need
for a job.
>> There really won't be anything that AI
can't do better than humans apart from
being human. Perhaps
>> at a more prosaic level, what will life
be like?
>> The most likely outcome
is an age of amazing abundance. Uh where
anyone can have anything they can think
of.
>> Money is going to be plentiful.
>> This is this is uh this may sound
preposterous, but well, here we are in
2026.
Let's see where we stand in 2036. Now,
of course, there are things that could
derail this like a a massive global
thermonuclear war or something like
that. Um, but assuming that there's not
World War II,
uh, I think I think we're headed for an
age of amazing abundance. So, this is, I
guess, a message of of optimism
and, uh, excitement about the future.
>> And AI is going to take care of all of
that for us.
>> And you say, what what is an economy? An
economy is um the production of goods
and provision of services.
And if you have vast numbers of robots
uh with uh vast amounts of digital
intelligence, you have a sort of a quatt
quasi infinite
economy.
So, so this is this is really the the
future is going to be very very
different from the past. There's there's
no um there's no analogy or metaphor
that I think illustrates the magnitude
of change that we're going to experience
here.
>> What do you need money for? Services and
goods.
>> Money won't matter in 2036.
>> I'm not sure that the people who bought
your shares think that money won't
matter in 2036. [music]
>> What do you want money for?
You want you want money for goods and
services,
>> right? You want money for obviously
food, housing, transport, entertainment.
Um well, if that is so abundant that uh
there's more that the robots and AI are
providing more goods and services than
you than any human could possibly
consume.
What do you need money for in that case?
>> But you're you're creating these robots.
Are you
>> between every now and then? You'll need
money. Sure.
>> Are you are you selling these robots?
Are you selling humanoid robots or are
you producing goods and services with
the humanoid robots that you control?
>> I give you the Levi Strap.
>> I think I think I would probably be
it would be an exercise in vanity to for
me to think that I would be controlling
super genius AI that is vastly smarter
than me. I think what we can and should
try to do is to make sure that the AI
has good values that it cares about
humanity and that
uh it wants wants us to be happy and
prosper. Um I think it probably will be
um my what my biological neural net
tells me is that the most important
thing for the for AI safety is to be
maximally truth seeeking and curious.
uh if that's the case uh I think it will
foster humanity.
>> So let's unpack that. You're sure that
humans will no longer be in control in
10 years time?
>> I think it is unlikely. Um in the same
way that if the difference in
intelligence between AI and humans is
vastly greater than the difference in
intelligence between AI and chimpanzees,
it's hard to imagine that the
chimpanzees would be in charge. So we
have these two views and visions. Both
of them are a little bit concerning in
their own uh right. Alon Musk seems to
be more of an optimist than a pessimist.
According to Yamsolk and others, they
seem to say, "Well, yeah, because he's,
you know, one of the people with Grock
who is definitely pushing his whole AI.
And whoever controls AI first, whoever
gets the keys, if you will, controls it
is going to control all of humanity. So
I want to just share with uh you you and
your viewers a little insight which is
actually stated in the Rambam and I'm
going to read a short piece of Rambam
which is in the Mishna Torah in the laws
of kings 12 verse 5 and over there the
Rambam gives a fascinating I mean this
is a mindblowing view which had anyone
said this 30 40 50 let alone a thousand
years ago would have been ridiculous and
yet it sounds uncanny just liked Ellen
Musk and he says you know in the future
in those days
there's going to be no more hunger and
there's going to be no more war
no jealousy and there's no competition I
should say
there's going to be a lot of goodness
there's going to be bountiful and he
goes goes even further and doubles down.
He says and all forms of delicacy will
be will be available like dust just like
we see dust around the entire world now.
All delicacies will be available. And
then he says the lawyer and people will
not be working. There's going to be no
that people are going to have to do once
Msiah comes. So what are they going to
do?
people will be able to spend their time
just getting to know Hashem. So the
Rambam so far has given us a glimpse of
what I think fits in very well with the
AI predictions that we're seeing today.
But he's saying there's a purpose to
this and it's part of Hashem's plan.
That's the most important thing. This is
not some man-made creation like nuclear
weapons that's to destroy us. However,
it's God's plan that in the future,
we're going to reach a point where we're
going to be less involved in making a
living, less involved in putting all of
our time and our money and our resources
into war into Mama. That's actually one
of the Rambam's main differences before
Msiah comes and after he comes. The pre-
messianic and the post messianic era is
no more wars. And therefore we have to
spend all that money that is going into
the mil military-industrial complex the
entire world just to help humanity. When
I read these words and I've read them
many many times way before AI was even a
question on the world. I thought how
could that be? How can it be we reach a
world where people won't need to work
and what are they going to do with their
time? Now that's still a good question
because we can't fathom completely such
a world yet. And yet the Ram seems to be
telling us and he's being very
optimistic that this is a good thing
that a world where we are able to invest
ourselves in spiritual pursuits is a
good thing. Now it's not just the Jewish
people. The entire world is going to be
affected by the messianic revolution and
we all the entire world just as the
waters covers this the the ocean bed
says the Rambam. The entire world will
be able to be involved in spiritual
pursuits. That's going to take a shift.
There's no doubt about it. I believe
that AI is going to be the tool. It's
not the answer, but it's the tool by
which we're going to reach that stage. I
want to point out that getting to that
level, that messianic revelation,
there's still going to be some
challenges and difficulties that we're
feeling right now that are going to
become more challenging. Um the
expression uh the term that is coined by
the rabbis, there's a few terms. One of
them is the footsteps of Mashiah the
Mashiah. It is a rabbitic expression
found in the Mishna in
that's one of them. The other is
darkness
to aura from darkness to light. So we
know that the buildup to this point is
going to be challenging. So I'm not
saying everything's going to be like you
know roses some kind of utopian
fantastic you know um polyianish
everything's going to be fantastic right
away. It's going to take time, effort,
and work. And we're seeing more turmoil
in the world. As we get to that point,
there's going to be a breakdown of the
entire system before we can recreate
this new world that Mashiach will be the
pinnacle of and the leader of that
revolution. So, I will I just want to
add that caveat. I'm not saying that
everything is, you know, fantastic as it
is right now. There is a challenge in
the world. The world is not safe. The
Jewish people definitely are not safe
and that's getting more and more
pronounced every single day. I'm talking
about the next phase right now. Once we
get to that point, things will be
better. In other words, I am an
optimist. The Ra and we as the Jewish
people, we have a guarantee that it's
going to be good and in the end it will
be good and if it's not good, it's not
the end. So, I just want to factor that
in um so people understand this. The
said every generation is given exactly
what it needs to understand its mission
and to understand godliness in the
world. And he said look people couldn't
understand that there's a god who
listens to us far away right or there'll
be some kind of advanced technology when
Messiah comes. And then God says here
here's a telephone have a look at that.
And then we move to video phones that
we're speaking on right now. And now
we're moving to AI. And this is all part
of Hashem's plan. That that's the most
important thing I want to get over to
everyone today. Not to be pessimistic
about this, but to stick with the
program. And let me explain what the
program involves. Number one, we have to
have amuna. And that is where all roads
lead when it comes to preparing for
Msiah. We spoke about this before. It
must be mentioned again. It's all about
keeping your faith in Hashem. If you
lose faith, like many predictors in the
AI world and outside of the military
world want to tell us we're going to be
gone by 2030, we don't believe this.
There is a shift. If you want to use a
word that I keep hearing uh from other
sources, there's a vibrational shift.
You want to use that word, that's fine
as well. But we're seeing it and the
world wants it. And everyone realizes
this. They realize there's a shift
that's happening. I'm saying as God
believers those who have ema that shift
is good it's going to come with ch all
changes are difficult just you know
moving house moving country is enough so
all positive change comes with
difficulty and comes with uh challenge
but AI is coming there's nothing you can
do to stop that and it's going to grow
exponentially over the next 5 to 10
years like Ellen Musk says and I think
if anyone in the world knows and is
willing to give us the truth. It's him.
But it is going to have a positive
effect. Now, are we going to remain part
of Hashem? Are we going to allow the
Amuna to be part of the winning team to
be with us? That's every individual's
question. So, yeah, I believe we're
seeing something unbelievable right now.
And the if he was alive today, he would
be just one quick side point I must
mention. I made a video about this.
Let's talk about the
um I met a Jew, a very elderly Jew lives
in Osis name is Rabbi Zach. He is a
grandson of the listen to this amazing
uh thing and um he was to be in New York
in my recently and I happened to have
seen him and I was with a friend and my
friend asked him that he had a tradition
that
spoke to his daughter this gentleman's
mother. So this is grandson and this
grandson's mother was the daughter of
the and he and we'd heard a tradition
that the had said to her before he left
this world that you my daughter will not
see Msiah coming but my grandchildren I
your children will currently there are
two descendants of
who are alive today at room and they're
I believe in their 80s or early 90s. So
if that if that guarantee for the since
you mentioned his name we got to mention
something good you know uh is true we're
on the cusp of something very very good
according to
>> if you want to call a prediction but he
confirmed that is what the told his
mother
>> the heart of the matter is is people
have especially if you're like myself
over 50 and you're I'm constantly
learning new technology um it gets more
difficult for older people to be able to
to work technology and there's
definitely a a shift a generational
shift where I'll ask my kids to help me
with something and more recently I'm
even asking AI to help me with these
things but just being able to access
these things. So there is some
dissonance
um of this literally new generation
because if you take somebody from a
hundred year uh let's say you take
someone from a thousand years ago and
you put them in a world of a hundred
years ago they probably could get along
pretty well. There were a few cars but
there were still horse and buggy and not
everybody had electricity. But if you
take someone from a hundred years and
you put him in today's world,
>> he he would be convinced that the temple
has been built already
>> and perhaps you can speak to the change
of the physical world coming before the
change of the spiritual world because
that's what seems to be exhibiting right
now.
>> 100%. Such a great question, Rabbi. I
appreciate it.
Let me give you an analogy and it's not
my analogy. We know the world as is can
only exist according to the Torah for
6,000 years. We're right now 5786. Okay,
2026. But 6,000 is the absolute maximum.
We know the Mashiach can come early. We
can expedite his arrival by coming early
by doing a number of things, which is
another good conversation. We're able to
bring it earlier. The rabbi say the
6,000 years reflect the six days of
creation. And just like you go through
the week and things become more and more
speeds up until you get to Shabbat
Shabbat, what's your house like?
Everything's flying. Everyone's running
around. People are moving much, much
faster. So too, the rabbis tell us that
right before Msiah comes, you're going
to see the world speed up, which started
with the industrial revolution and has
been spinning for thousands of years,
everyone's pretty much the same. You had
a cart, you had a horse. If you're rich,
you had a cow as well. But everything
just kept moving. Suddenly, we've got to
this point in history where things are
speeding up exponentially.
That is the era of Shabbat because once
Msiah comes, we enter a world that is
where it's all Shabbat Shak Shabbat. So
right now, if you were to look at world
history as the week, we are right now in
era of Shabbat, getting ready for that
final moment. that what we're seeing
technologically coming is part of now
one of the challenges that comes with
that and the Mishna goes on to say this
is a Mishna I'm not quoting some great
cababalistic texts I mean I can if you
will if you want but let's look at the
Mishna the Mishna says that right before
Mashia comes
young people are going to embarrass
older people why would that be a a
prediction of right before Mashiach
comes and I think it's exactly like
you're saying because things are
speeding up so fast. Technology is
changing. Used to be every 20 years and
now every couple of days, right? And as
you said, my kids know my kids know
technology, you know, more than me and
and make fun of me because I don't know
how to do basic things. This is part of
that upside down world, the speed up
leading up to the messianic revolution
where the kids have more information and
more knowledge than their parents. It
was never that way, by the way. It was
always parents teaching their kids,
grandparents teaching their grandkids.
And suddenly we have young children who
have more power, more knowledge than us.
Now that may be uncomfortable. I don't
like that. I don't like my kids having
more knowledge than me. And yet that
seems to be the system. So we see that
young people are going to control so
we're seeing it. And look at all the big
companies of the world. bunch of young
people like in their you know teens and
20s who are suddenly making all the
money and making all the influencer uh
you know um controls over society. This
is exactly as the mission is saying old
people
are going to stand up for young people.
The old stand for the youngs. Crazy.
What kind of world is that? Where oh
that's exactly what the mission is
saying. It's a world where the young
have the they have well they have the
doubt. Where they have wisdom is
something else actually. All right. We
know that wisdom is going to decrease
before Msiah comes. But they have
knowledge. They have tools. And this is
a um a result of the speeding up of
information that the young people are
able to take in and inculcate and then
disseminate right before Msiah comes. So
it goes even further. Sorry, I just want
to just finish this last piece off
because it's mind-blowing and I think
it'll resonate with your your listeners
and give us those people who are 50
years old some comfort. It says that
we're going to see that sons are going
to have a testy difficult relationship
with their parents. But
daughters are going to rebel against
their mothers.
A daughter-in-law is going to fight
against their mother-in-law. Whatever
that means, I don't know. I'm just
reading the the Mishna Rabbi. But why is
this part of the premiering reality?
Well, part of it is the breakdown of the
family unit, right, which we're seeing,
which has other consequences to it, but
it's also a result of this fastm moving
social media AI world that is coming
down the pipeline that is separating
generations. It used to be that 100
years wasn't such a major gap between
knowledge, between previous and next
generation. And suddenly it's amaf and
we're living in this upside down world
that everyone in the whole world feels
that I see even that is a sign of
Msiah's imminent arrival according to
the uh according to the Mishna.
>> One of the Jewish uniquely Jewish
concepts is reincarnation. And that that
basically means that a soul after it
passes on can come back into a new body
be born and he may not have memories.
There are people who may even think they
have memories. There have been
documented even in our Jewish wisdom.
There are many examples where we say
that different souls of different people
went into different people. The Ramdu
which is was a cabalist who he writes
something astounding. He writes that uh
and this is really words of comfort
because I think most people are are with
fear you know is everything going to run
out of control and once we see that
there's a process and there's a loving
God designing this process so it's much
more comforting but he describes that
the souls that come at the end are the
righteous people's souls who still have
parts to fix up which would which would
mean that we're all we're all um
righteous people no matter where we are
and if we have difficulties in life
those difficulties are precisely why we
came into the world to um you know if we
have fears to to learn how to have faith
that's that's that's our job so maybe
you can speak about more about the hope
that u that we could have towards this
messianic era which is unfolding
>> okay there's a lot to unpack over there
you started with reincarnation
um I hear the source you mentioned there
are other sources sources, however, who
say that the last generation is going to
be the final chance for a lot of souls.
>> Wow.
>> Meaning that we know when the yeah when
the gof is empty, the goof literally
means the body, but it's actually the
receptacle in heaven in Shmayim where
God stores all the souls and when the
last one comes out, Msiah comes. The
cabalists say, well, that gat one means
the last reincarnation. The labrebi is
famous for saying and it's printed in a
number of places
that right before messiah comes uh it's
going to be last chance saloon you know
for people not enough time
>> says that uh the the people from that at
the time of the flood of Noah
>> they were supposed to get they were
supposed to get the Torah and because
they didn't
it just didn't work there's actually a
rashi a rashi that says uh Raji explains
on the verse in Cohelis that says
I mean it's better God should show um
corrective measures that seem like anger
because had he tried to correct the
generation of Noah they all would have
repented but he didn't he wanted to
actually leave that world and allow it
to come to its ultimate end God promised
by Noah that he's not going to repeat
that And furthermore, it's mentioned
that those same souls came reincarnated
at the end of time. So,
>> yeah, exactly. So, let's have a look. I
was actually right going to go there.
Let's have a look.
>> That was good. No, it's good. It's
great. It's a perfect segue. Uh, Rabbi,
you're saying perfectly. What was the
main problem of that generation of the
flood, the mubble of Noah's time? Couple
of things. There was sexual immorality,
lentiousness, and stealing.
Specifically, stealing. not just objects
and things but each other's spouses.
So we know that it was a uh immoral
society. There's a reason God and we
know that the immorality was actually
them working against each other unlike
the dora the Tower of Babel generation
who were allowed to remain alive because
they rebelled against God. God was like
I don't mind you want to rebel against
me. I'm not happy about it but I get it.
But when you're bad to each other, when
there's not enough love between you,
that's a problem and that's a generation
that's wiped out. So we're told exactly
as you're saying that at the end of
days, that generation was actually the
one that goti and they're going to be
they're going to be reincarnated at the
end of time as well. And if you look at
some of the major problems in terms of
respect towards each other, sexual
immorality, and other things, seems to
fit in very much with the challenge
we're dealing with today. the generation
of the Gil Ghoul. So the Labra just to
finish that point, he does say that
there's going to be a short amount of
time because you can't have another
generation of Gilgul. This is the last
reincarnated time that people get to and
this is the last chance because we can't
like die and come back again for another
40 years, 50 years because Messiah is
going to be here by then. So the end of
days, which is where we are right now, I
mean that's unanimous. Everyone agrees
with that. Even the uh you know
non-believers who believe in AI feel as
though we're coming to an end. This is
the last this is the final incarnation
of all those people that we are part of
right now. And there's actually a
wonderful book written by Sarah Regler.
I actually met with her, spoke to about
us. Um,
forgot the name of it. Um,
it's a Holocaust reincarnation book that
came out a couple of years ago. Well
worth reading. Um, and she quotes the
Clausenberger Rebby, which I've heard
before, but she brings it down. how at
the end of days you're going to see
actually since the Holocaust because
that's the transitional point for
reasons that I won't get into now that
we're moving into this whole uh pre
messianic era that was definitely one of
the watershed moments. He said you're
going to see a lot of souls especially
children who died during that time have
to come back. He actually says there's
not enough Jewish families to actually
take those million Jewish children's
souls back into the world. So many of
them are going to come back into
non-Jewish nations. He's going to see
that's why he says you're going to see a
lot of people and she documents this
through her interviews and studies that
right before Mashiach comes you're going
to see a lot of non-Jewish people
started to convert those are actually
Jewish souls that perished during the
Holocaust.
I've actually met many many people
who've converted and one of the reasons
I'll give you is I just feel a Peter
before and I went and I have holocaust
uh memories and dreams and phobias to go
with it. So it's not just the Jewish
people. This is the God is allowing the
final generation right now to come back.
But we've got to get it right now. This
is the small window of opportunity we
have right now.
Well, the name of the book is I've been
here before, by the way.
>> Yeah, it has some pretty amazing
accounts of people who have um recall of
of things. I I have a family member who
who has who has this I don't know if she
would want me to say it online but
someone very close to me who has um very
vivid experience and and memory from the
Holocaust even though our family has
been in California for before the
Holocaust.
>> Yeah. 100%. God planted those souls into
the world um right now. This is the last
>> I'll just say as a caveat that not every
person who experience has a you know
there there are many um many experiences
from many people of different religions
who also have uh pre-life experience and
not all experiences are correct. We I'm
not using the the cases of experience as
proof of anything. I'm just saying that
it is happening. I think that would be
fair to say. Hey, and by the way, I
spoke to Musha Weinberger about this
this phenomena and he says you're
absolutely allowed to believe in it and
you're even allowed to go into hypnosis
to do past life regression work. He does
mention that by the way, but Rob Mosha
Weinberger um so he speaks about this. I
asked him about this. He says there's
nothing wrong with it. It's not
comparable to you going to a medium or a
psychic. Nothing like that whatsoever.
It's allowed to be done. And I know many
people who've done it, but they have to
do it with the right person. As you
said, like anything in life, there's,
you know, good people who do uh practice
work like this. And there's charlatans.
You got to find the right person. And
I've sent people to the right person.
And uh I think one girl who I'm very
close to, she was terrified of dying.
And she did past life aggression. That
fear went away immediately when she
experienced a previous life of hers.
There's no problem in doing that with
the right uh person guiding you.
>> Now, Hashem would leave those that would
mean that Hashem leaves certain memories
inside of our soul that we kind of know
we kind of know our mission. Uh and that
and this is like a real a feeling kind
of like when you come you come to Israel
and you come up to the place of the ba
mikdash and you get this feeling like
I've been here before and even though
you may have never been there and this
was your first visit I've I've heard
I've met I've led many I've led many I
worked for Birthright as the official
rabbi uh in America for 15 years and I
took many many young people for the
first time and uh they many of them have
told me I feel like I've been here
before. They've had that feeling. I
myself have had that feeling from my
work in this realm which I which is
another conversation but I'm happy to
speak about another time in terms of my
past life and understanding of uh
certain things that have just spoken to
very great people very great people
about this and what my mission is in
this life. But whatever that is, whether
a person decides to do that or not, in
the end, there's no doubt that we have
to get this final life right, we don't
have time to come back again after this
life. We've got to get it right now.
And Hashem says, the prophet Isaiah says
so many times that um you know, God God
gave us a lot of commandments. and what
God really wants uh right now from
people who maybe don't know enough. What
would you say people who have not gone
to yeshiva, who don't speak Hebrew, have
not gotten a uh an education like uh
many of us were gifted. So what would
you say to those people what they could
be doing right now?
>> You know, let's go back to that, Rabbi.
Let's go back to that says that every
generation is given exactly what it
needs to succeed and to believe, right?
One generation needed the telephone. One
needs We now live in a generation where
okay, maybe we don't have as many smart
people and good like we did in past
generations that I always hear. I don't
like people saying that. I believe it
bismerches the great people. But the
ability to learn and hear in any format
is so available in our generation.
Something our grandparents or parents
could never believed in. even like this
having these um such important podcasts
that come and having Torah information
if you don't want to sit and read you
could just listen to Torah right it's so
easy now I mean no one's got an excuse
right so much people have so much time
on their hands right because of the
internet and other changes in society
they give us a chance so yeah yeah
you're right there are many people are
very ignorant of Judaism today but is
there a time in history that you could
tell me where you had this much
information ready readily available to
everyone in any format, right? It's just
it's at our literally at our fingertips.
We've become augmented beings with our
phones in our hands. So once in a while
tap into a Torah class, a sh something
that I tell people nowadays to learn
Torah that inspires them.
>> I know we live in a they say well you
know I was in yeshiva they would say no
you got to break your head on this and
break your head on that and I did for
many years. I studied Gumar and but we
live in you need to learn Torah that
inspires you. That is our generation. I
believe that to be very very true. Not
just on Shabbat, but any day of the
week. What if you find something that
speaks to you like some people they just
the idea of Miaim just speaks to them
and that's it then that's your thing.
Then that's what you have to delve into.
If you're like Beno, if that's your
that's your connection to Hashem, then
that's what you got to double click on,
right? There's something for everyone
right now and so available.
So yes, um
part of part of the messianic era that
we're in right now is the revelation of
of God's presence in the universe.
Meaning that you mentioned previously
that people should find comfort in the
fact that we are in messianic times.
It's not a time that we need to be
afraid of AI, but you know, how do we
find comfort in Hashem?
So these are challenging times. Again,
I'm an optimist, but they're not easy.
You know, back to that Mishna one more
time. The Mishna tells us that at the
end of days, we're going to see that
that the vine is going to give of his
fruits.
What is that? Why? Why is that a sign?
Mashia is coming. What is that about? So
Rashi tells us that there's going to be
an increased demand for wine and I'm
going to add all alcohol and I'm even
going to add drugs onto that right
before Msiah comes and that's going to
cause prices to go up. But the Tefer is
says that people are going to be turning
to alcohol and drugs. I mean I'm adding
the drugs, you know, as a as a as an
addition over here because people are
going to turn to drink and alcohol and
drugs because they're going to be bitter
and depressed. That's what the ter
Israel says. So there's no doubt that
there are challenges that families are
feeling. There's a void that people are
feeling. So family breakdowns happening.
People are socially breaking down in
terms of you know taking drugs and
abusing alcohol and and other such
things. We know that the governments
have let us down tremendously and that's
uh governments throughout the entire
world. Everyone's dissatisfied with the
governments. They keep electing these,
you know, extreme people on the far left
and far right thinking they're going to
be the solution to the problems, which
they never are, right? Maybe they make
things better. Mostly they make things
absolutely worse. All of this breakdown.
You can't trust your your rabbis. You
can't trust your family. Right? We've
said it already. Uh you can't trust your
government. So who can you trust? And
the Mishna ends extraordinarily with the
words, you can only trust your shamim,
Hashem. Hashem wants to hear from us.
Hashem wants us to believe in him. This
is where everything is leading us to.
Don't put your faith in AI. Don't put
your faith in in your, you know, your
leaders, right? No matter who they are,
that's not what Hashem wants. Hashem,
God wants you to have a personal
relationship with him. We've kind of
lost this. You know, I don't know what
happened. Somewhere in recent history,
it all became like trusting the yeshiva,
trusting the government, and trusting
other people. They're going to take care
of us.
What nonsense is this? This is not this
is not to emit. Torah is everyone's got
to find a personal relationship. We go
to Shirim, we learn Torah, we
extrapolate, of course, but in the end,
everyone's going to have to find their
own personal loving relationship with
Hashem. That is why all these things are
happening in the world today.
Everything, every war, every famine,
every earthquake, it's all there to
waken us up so that we say, "Hashem, I I
need you in my life. I need a personal
relationship."
In Isaiah 49:14, God called
Temple Mount cries out to God and says,
"God, you have abandoned me because uh
she doesn't see that the redemption is
unfolding. She she sits desolate." And
today, um, people around the world, as
you mentioned, are able to go online, be
able to learn, learn the Torah, be able
to connect to Hashem, and Hashem really
knows, and he told us the prophecies of
the future because they're all going to
happen. Everything that is written is
going to happen. Our only real question
is where are we going to put our faith?
Are we going to put our faith in, as you
said, our leaders? Are we going to put
our faith in politics, in money, in
and or are we going to put our faith in
God? That
>> Let me let me let me just add one thing
cuz that's really the question and I
want people to really like think about
that. Think about that deeply even for a
minute. Just stop everything for just
one minute and just think how am I as an
individual going to put my real faith in
Hashem? That's really and we have a in
actually invar chapter 30:6 and it says
God is going to circumcise
your heart
and the heart of your descendants
so that you can love Hashem. How do you
circumcise a heart? What exactly is
Mosher Rabenu telling the Jewish people
who are about to enter into Israel that
they should circumcise their heart? What
exactly is on my heart that needs to be
circumcised?
It's a very unusual verse. And the
rabbis tell us the Ramban tells us that
at the end of days we're going to have a
a covering on our hearts. That is a
metaphor obviously for a blockage.
something that's blocking our ability to
relate and love Hashem. Something which
may not have been there before, but
Mosher Rain was warning the Jewish
people about it happening definitely
towards the end of days. But Hashem is
going to circumcise. He's going to give
us each and every one of us an
opportunity to do a Brit a circumcision
on our hearts to make that go away. that
blockage that's that interruption that's
between our emotional state and Hashem.
It's interesting. It doesn't say our mo
brain says our heart our emotional
connection to Hashem is blocked. There
is a blockage right now and we need to
break that. Mashiach's job is to finally
break that blockage. I mean there's a
big discussion is that going to change
the nature of free will which it will by
the way. Everyone agrees to that. Ramban
says it's going to change that
completely. nakmanades others disagree
and say well free will will exist will
be lessened the ram's like it's going to
change completely right that uh surface
um blockage is going to be completely
removed but it's there right now it's
there I've had the privilege of meeting
people who've managed to remove that
blockage and rebuilt a whole beautiful
connection to Hashem right and as you
mentioned many converts that I've met
you talk to them it's inspiring ing very
inspiring even uh non-Jewish people or
Ben Noah who uh who have changed their
lives around right and and left the
church and and and join the Jewish
people uh if not in religion and
definitely in belief and you see that
even the Balua movement which isn't
really where it should be at the moment
it's moving but it's it hasn't really
overtaken the world it's going to it's
going to Msiah is going to revolutionize
that we're about to see a big sweep.
It's going to come right through the
world. The Rambam says this um in his
letter to Tman when he says that you're
going to see the world is going to just
suddenly all falsehood is going to go
away and we're going to be able to
really relate to Hashem in a whole
different way once Mashiach comes. And
if we haven't, Mashia isn't here yet.
But that blockage needs to be taken
away. It needs to be excised from our
hearts.
Gratitude for me is one of my my tools
that I use when um in the morning
prayers we have many blessings that we
say every morning a whole list of
blessings that we're not slaves that we
can stand up that God opens our eyes and
that God gives us sight and that we have
all these gifts and when a person and
there's one one blessing which was
actually very surprising a friend of
mine is a uh he's a rabbi and he goes to
factories around the world that produce
alcohol. They produce uh different
highlevel single malt scotches. And when
he came out of the bathroom there, he
the the manager came over to him and
said he wanted to speak to him. And he
said, "Just one second." And he made the
blessing that we say after going to the
bathroom. And that thanks God for
opening up our blockages and
understanding that if one of our bodily
functions didn't work, we wouldn't be
able to stand. And he explained this to
the manager and he was shocked and he
accepted it. And then a couple months
later, his friend went to that same
factory and then he called him up and he
said, "You know, I'm here." And I came
out of the bathroom and the manager came
to me and says, "You're not saying the
blessing." [laughter] And he and he
called him out on it. But just having
gratitude, having gratitude that I that
you know, and when we have gratitude for
me, this is what works is that when I
appreciate that I'm have all my bodily
functions that I'm able to see and
praise God, so I I know that
everything's going to be okay. you know,
thank you for that. Yeah, I I always
tell my students the most beautiful
braha for those people who don't make
blessings. It's a wonderful thing to do.
Um, but that's one of the first braha I
tell people to have after the bathroom
because everyone appreciates uh the
results of not being able to go to the
bathroom, god forbid, or having any
blockage in our entire bodies. You know,
something just occurred to me while you
were talking. It came to my head. If
something comes to my head, I'd like to
talk about it. You know the the partial
of this week I don't know when your your
viewers are watching this but the
partial of this week is rare is to to
see see what
I'm giving you today
blessings and potential curses. So the
whole of Dvar up to now has been about
listening and listening is literally
listening but also metaphor for
understanding because when you listen
you I understand right I didn't see it
but I'm listening secondhand I'm I'm
listening about the stories about you
know leaving Egypt and I'm listening
right that God you know wants me to to
follow his commandments because I wasn't
at RC now so I've got to listen to it
second third or fourth hand but I'm
listening I'm understanding and suddenly
there shifts suddenly see what do you
mean see I didn't leave Egypt. How did
the shift go from listening to seeing?
What exactly am I meant to see? There's
many answers to this question, but you
said something and I just want to share
this and this applies to any day of the
week, not only this week's uh uh uh
parasa. Seeing something like the
miracles of the return of the Jewish
people to the land of Israel can change
us. Just look at the recent history of
our people returning of the thousands of
years into the land of Israel. And
Mushraenu is telling the Jewish people
because he's not going to go in. He got
a glimpse from afar from outside of
Israel. But he's saying you are going to
see.
That's what he's saying because it's
going to happen at two mountains, right?
Ival and and Gimm. When you get him,
you're going to be able to see. There's
something about having the land of
Israel today. Whether you live there or
you watch from afar, you can see that
God's eyes, that's the expression the
Torah gives us, are on the land of
Israel.
God's presence in the land of Israel is
there the entire year. Now I don't know
what his presence is in the other lands.
Maybe like turns a blind eye once in a
while but not Israel. The hasha the
connection that every Jew has by seeing
what is taking place in the land of
Israel. Hopefully
is such an amazing evidence of God's
control of the world. So we as Jews are
expected. I find this a big source of
comfort, right, and understanding and
belief when I see what's happening in
Israel. Even, God forbid, the bad
things. You know, one someone asked me
this morning, you know, God does all
good things except October 7th. And I
said, we don't have that vision right
now, but there will be a time when even
that disgusting event will be able to
look back and be like, it wasn't
pleasant, but I understand why we needed
to go through it. I don't have that
vision right now. That's only in God's
hands. That's God's purview. But
everything that happens in the land of
Israel always has been hopefully braa
which is going to be God willing. All of
that is there for us to see and to see
God in action. That is why God gave us
the land of Israel to see his hasha, his
control over the entire world firsthand.
I don't need to hear about it. I can see
it. That's what the Torah is telling us
and that is unique to the land of
Israel.
>> You know in six weeks time uh this will
be my last comment. In six weeks time is
rash sha the Jewish new year then
followed by yum kipur 10 days later the
day where uh we get atonement. It's the
happiest day of the year. I I couldn't
even think about food. You're getting
atonement. Imagine God's taking you into
his into his into his uh mishkan into
his suka into his uh dwelling place. And
God's dwelling place is very simple.
It's very it's very and and that we
we'll have a lot we'll have a lot to
talk about because go Mooog is is so
interconnected with Sukkot. There's so
much to prepare for that period of time.
We we actually we read the story of Go
Moog on Sukkot on Shabbat in the Besset
in the synagogue. So we have a lot to
look forward to. Um, we we're definitely
entering one of the most intense periods
in in Jewish uh life cycles and probably
the most the closest year ever to
Messiah. Uh I mean everything has
switched even from when I was a kid. I
remember a time before when they had
Napster when I was calling my friend up
and telling him that wow I could you can
pick a song and I could play it within a
few minutes and that was like
mindblowing. And today any person could
turn on Torah anytime. Turn on YouTube,
type Torah and see what comes up. See
what message is there. Check out Rabbi
Haj's channel. He's got some great great
topics over there. And also check out my
channel. Some good stuff here too. And
um so Rabbi Hajf, give us the blessing.
>> So Hashem, thank you so much. Uh, Hashem
should bless uh all of us with clarity,
which is one of the greatest blessings a
person can have in this world, with a
realization that all the doomsayers who
say we're going to be wiped out by 2030,
2036, Hashem has us in his hands. You've
got to get with the program, whatever
that means for you, learning Torah,
connecting to a synagogue, doing, but
you've got to become part of the uh the
nation, the the true God of Israel.
That's what we need to become part of.
Uh even your non-Jewish viewers, I wish
I have many. I tell them you're part of
God's creation, right? Supporting your
people, uh learning Torah that's
applicable to you, finding inspiration,
but having faith, and knowing that in
the end, it's all going to be okay. And
if it's not okay, it's not the end.
>> Beautiful. Thank you so much. I look
forward to our next episode together.
And once again, guys, please like,
share, and subscribe. leave and channel.
