Songs of Our Heritage: Shabbos

This song is attributed to Rabbi Levi Yitzchok of Berditchev (1740-1809). Known as the 'defender of Israel', R Levi Yitzchok always looked for the positive in each person and every situation. His compositions are well known for their candor and heart-felt simplicity. "If only I could, I would shout out loud to the world, how beautiful Shabbos is!" Jewish music is the soundtrack to our lives. At every milestone, holiday or mitzva, it enhances and enlivens our experience and service of Hashem.
