Songs of Our Heritage: Oifen Pripetchik - On the Hearth

Composed by M.M. Warshawsky (1848–1907) this classic song sung by Jewish mothers to their children over the last century, tells the tale of a Rebbe, a school teacher, teaching young children the sweetness of Komatz Alef Uh, the traditional method of beginning Torah study. Jewish music is the soundtrack to our lives. At every milestone, holiday or mitzva, it enhances and enlivens our experience and service of Hashem.
