Guys, I'm here with Elchanan and Reuben
from Kalamata. Guys, you got to check
out what's happening over here in Aisle
9. Elchanan, tell us what's happening.
>> So, Ephraim, Baruch Hashem, we took over
the cafe and the grab and go over here
in Aisle 9 and we're doing a lot a lot
of new things that haven't been done.
We're bringing the Kalamata standard up
into the retail and the breakfast space
and we're doing a lot of special
um juices and acai bowls and sandwiches
that haven't really been done and we're
bringing the Kalamata flair into the
retail space. Ephraim, so here is our
cafe that we took over over here in
Aisle 9. We're doing fresh orange juice.
Come, let me show you how we make fresh
orange juice.
>> machine.
>> Yes, yes, live. You can ask for fresh
orange juice live. Let me show you we
even mark this.
Takes the orange, squeezes it out, and
boom.
>> Wow.
>> Then the orange, cuts it in half,
squeezes it out, boom.
>> How many oranges do you have to use for
that such a cup?
>> Probably like six, seven, something like
that.
>> Each orange is like 25 expensive oranges
that is.
>> Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
yeah. Now, not only are we going to make
fresh orange juice, but we're going to
use it in our smoothies and our acai
bowl and a lot of things.
>> No preservatives, no chemicals.
>> We're going to We're going to do things
that nobody ever has, nobody ever
experienced such high quality um
in-house freshly made um smoothies and
acai bowls.
>> One thing I want to ask you, what's with
the ginger ale? Are we going to have the
ginger ale here?
>> Baruch Hashem, yes, we sell the ginger
ale. We sell the Ephraim's ginger ale
also in Aisle 9, so it's available here
and in Kalamata.
So, this is our salad display, omelet
display. We have many different omelets,
many different salads. These are burekas
that we have. We have a special for a
burekas breakfast. Comes with an egg
like you're in the shuk, something that
uh is exclusive to over here to Aisle 9.
>> What's this?
>> This is a cheese crusted burrito. We're
going to show you how to do it in a
second. Something nobody else does in
Lakewood.
Amazing and it's very tasty, very good.
These are toppings for for salads, so
many different types of toppings,
healthy ones, crunchy ones, all
different types of things. This is
our spreads. We have like six different
types of cream cheeses over here that we
make in Kalamata special. This is our
juicing station, our juice bar. All
different types of vegetables and fruits
that we use for fresh juices, cold fresh
juices that we make every day. Uh this
is our cheese crusted burrito.
We take cheese,
melt it down.
All right, this is the egg that we're
going to make, scrambled eggs that's
going to go inside the burrito.
Little cheddar cheese inside the egg.
>> What's this?
>> These are our hash browns.
The Kalamata hash browns.
Add some pico de gallo that goes inside.
>> Pico de gallo?
>> Pico de gallo.
>> What's that?
>> It's tomatoes, a little cucumbers, a
little
hot pepper, a little bit, not too much.
Have the eggs and the hash and the
cheese goes inside.
Boom, beautiful.
Wrap it up.
Now comes the cheese crusted part. Here
it goes. Look at that melted cheese
that's all around. We get that nice
cheese crust all around. Here it goes.
Oh my gosh.
>> I like this.
>> Yeah, this is real real Mexican street
food.
Yeah, you like it?
>> Yeah, very good.
>> Is it a good idea?
>> Oh yeah, very good chef.
>> I do like the smash house.
>> Smash smash it down a little bit.
This is real cheese by the way, it's not
fake cheese.
>> Of course, of course.
>> All right, look at that hard beautiful
cheese crust.
>> Nice, good idea.
>> to split it open.
See the inside.
>> Wow, look at this. Look at this.
>> Amazing.
>> Beautiful.
>> Yeah, so far we want to bring you some
of the souk food from our restaurant
here.
Um this is our freshly baked
potato burekas or cheese. We have cheese
options also.
And we're making a sandwich in there.
>> Cheese.
>> Cheese, eggs.
And then vegetables.
>> Nice. Okay, eggs.
Beautiful.
Okay. Maybe put in some some tomato.
Tomato, some olives.
Maybe some Maybe some lettuce, some
What else can
>> Olives we put on the side over here.
These are our marinated olives that we
make in Kalamata.
>> Yeah, I actually saw one of the
soup stores are selling this. Very hot
item. I don't know why they're not doing
it over here in
Yeah, in America.
>> This is a little bit of our garlic mayo.
Usually you get tahini, but here you get
garlic mayo.
Put some olives.
>> All right. Now let's close it up.
Ah, nice.
>> So this is our coffee station.
We specifically went down to the company
and
specifically chose specific coffees that
we're going to use exclusively over
here. We have a Guatemalan coffee, we
have a
Colombian coffee, we have a cafe crema,
and we're using it for our espressos,
using it for our coffee machines. You
could buy it freshly ground and make it
yourself.
And it's a very very very good quality
coffees. So from our acai, we're using
our freshly made orange juice we have
right here. And that's how we make our
acai. That's the base. Not almond milk,
not anything else, no sugar, no honey,
no anything like that. Just the
sweetness from the oranges and the
citrusy brings out a really bright acai.
So our base is our fresh orange juice
that we squeeze.
That's the base that we use. So, we have
no sugar, no honey, none of that.
>> Only acai, strawberries, blueberries.
>> Strawberry, blueberries, and of course
the toppings. Let me see the toppings.
>> You want uh fried mango, apples.
And granola. You have granola, fresh
in-house granola?
>> Yep, yep, yep, yep.
>> Acai zone.
>> Yeah, put a little bit of chocolate
chips. Not too much cuz it's not It's
supposed to be healthy, right?
>> Yep. Unless you tell me the chocolate is
made from real dark chocolate.
Zero sugar.
>> I don't know.
>> They're regular chocolate chips.
>> Regular chocolate. They're real
chocolate chips, right?
>> Yeah, real chocolate chips made
in-house.
>> Yeah.
>> Almost.
>> a lot of sauces we can put on. This is
our
>> Almond butter.
>> Okay.
>> Almond butter.
>> Acai
wow.
What are you What are you putting now?
>> Strawberry.
>> Strawberry sauce, yeah. It's very good.
Uh at Frank's, not only do we have our
coffees here, ice coffees, ice lattes,
frappuccinos, we also have a full line
of shakes and smoothies that we're doing
in-house over here.
>> What's this color?
>> our Kawama shake.
>> What's inside?
>> Inside a chocolate bar, a Maccuello
chocolate bar, a little bit of a special
coffee, a little bit of chocolate syrup,
and uh ice cream.
>> Oh, no oranges inside?
>> No oranges in this. This is for the not
oranges people.
So, another thing that we're doing at
Frank's, that we're doing fresh orange
juices and citrus juices, we're also
doing cold-pressed juices.
>> Celery.
>> our beets. This is our beet topping.
>> healthy.
>> Yeah, and it's very good.
>> Green apple.
>> And also lemon juice, but lemon juice
we're not going to put in here so it
doesn't get bitter cuz the peel is
bitter. So, we're going to add in from
from our squeezed lemon juices.
>> There you go. Wow, fresh. Over here
comes out all the dry stuff.
You see how dry it is? That means we're
getting out extracting all the juices.
>> What do you do with all this dry stuff
over here?
>> Garbage.
Unless somebody wants to use it for
their compost.
So, uh Ephraim, this is our grab and go.
We have over 11 different types of
salads over here. We have salmon bowls,
we have many different types of
sandwiches, wraps, different types of
cold brew, power of a cold brew.
