There's this poem where when read from
top to bottom, it describes everything
extremely pessimistic. The same lines,

describes everything very optimistic,
just the opposite. And it's a cute way
of showing that the same set of words
can give us two wildly different
messages. I got a text from a father who
said, "My son came home and excitedly
showed me this poem that you gave out
and did with them in class." And as a
family, we sat around the table and
looked at it, read it together, and we
liked it. It was cute. It was
interesting. There's a certain funny
part to it, but it was just eye opening
to us as a family and we talked about it
as a family. That is a 100% success rate
in terms of implementation of this
curriculum. The right way to do it is to
have the parents involved, included,
informed for those that aren't and that
are so absent. They're going to continue
to be absent with whatever else is going
to be going on. And thank God those
children are still going to get
something from the curriculum that we're
providing to them. And I would argue
they're going to get a lot from it. They
potentially can then be the vehicle of
change even in their own homes as they
get older.
