We all know in the creation of the world God Almighty named the first man Adam. Why was he named Adam? Because Adam comes from the word from the ground. We came from the ground. We were turning to the ground. The ground is a little bit of a derogatory name. [music] You know if someone tells you that you're a piece of dirt, say yes I am and so are you because we came from the dirt. We came from the ground. God couldn't give us any better names. Sadik which is righteous, Tor which is pure uh you know to which is good. Why the name Adam from the ground? The and the rabbis say something really powerful and that is the ground is not a derogatory negative thing. Just the opposite. If you take care of the dama, you take care of the ground, good things happen. You have beautiful trees, you have flowers, you have plants, you have grass, you have food, fruits and vegetables. You take care of theama, good things happen. So too when you take care of Adam, a person takes care of himself, [music] good things could happen as well. If you take care of yourself, you have your proper exposure to the sun. That's what happens at the ground. You soil it and you make sure that it doesn't get attacked or hurt. Same thing with every single one of us. We have to make sure the surroundings are good. We have to make sure we're influenced by good people. We have to make sure that we take care of oursel not only in the physical [music] part of our lives, but the spiritual part of our lives as well. And then what will happen is that just like the ground brings out so much good so to every single one of us. So much good could come out of us as well. Adam also comes from the word mess potential a lot. We have so much potential to do so much good. We have to just realize it and understand we have a coming out. We have a piece of us. We have to we have a pure soul. Reminds [music] me of a story of a zookeeper. People would come to the zoo and uh they were shocked that the lion was not in in a cage and they asked the zookeeper, "How could it be? It's dangerous." He's like, "No, no, don't worry. Why shouldn't we be worried?" [music] Because the lion doesn't realize he's a lion. He grew up with the chickens. He doesn't realize that he could roar and he could do whatever he can do. Same thing with every single one of us. We grow up in society that are lower standards and a mediocre and status quo. But you have to realize that you have an isama. You have a soul and you could do big things. And once we realize that that we have so much potential and that we just like we take care of the ground we take care of ourselves as well good things could happen by we should all take that message to heart we should be we should merit to bring out our potential to the greatest uh potential and we should only hear only good news. Amen.
