call is from a federal prison so no how are you my turn my turn my turn it's been Yama's turn yeah yeah are you gonna come I want you to come this happens everyday we get two minutes to talk no one's happy after that I try to take them to see him to see their father once a week but it usually doesn't happen between work and taking care of them I'm gonna show and Yaman is turning 13 years old he's doing so well his Bar Mitzvah it's less than six weeks he's our oldest son it's a time when families are supposed to come together to celebrate he has to learn how to become a man he needs his father now to teach him to teach him his responsibilities too to give him all the things that that I can't there are certain things that only a father can teach I have to remember I have to book I haven't even booked a hall yet I have to call Simon booking I need someone here to teach him ever since my husband's been away the kids have been acting wildly they act up all the time the doing poorly in school no one understands them the teachers they don't understand them either and I don't have money or time for tutors Wow can you do the homework with the kids aim that I have to learn to grasp it I know I know and Yaman acts like he's mature he pretends like he's taking it well but I don't know what to do I still have to get back to his Bar Mitzvah there's so much to do and there's no one else I'm a soft loving mother but sometimes I have to be strict as well without my husband here I have to do everything how am I supposed to manage all of this on my own people don't understand I have four children I wish there was someone who would understand me what I am going through right now when I went to visit my husband is when I found out about the drawer family he saw a sign at one of the vending machines and he told me about all the services then I took the courage and I made the phone call one of the first things they did was assign a therapist to me I wanted my kids it was so wonderful to have somebody to listen to me and to tell me that it was gonna be okay and to help me with the kids I didn't understand what my children were going through before this and my therapist explained so much better to me what they were saying and it's made me be a better mother through all of this there's also a messaging group for all the women who are in the same situation as me and so if there's ever a problem or a question and somebody needs an answer to something you can just ask and there's always somebody there to support you and to give you the answers that you need now then Yaman is in the Big Brother program and he has lessons twice a week and they took him shopping for Bar Mitzvah when he came home he was so happy he was glowing I hadn't seen him like that for a long time so who's excited to go to Nepal everyone's excited call me if you need anything okay before we came into the drawer family I never was able to make time to see my husband now my kids get to go once a week and then I get to see him as well so we see each other twice a week it feels like we're a family again now that we are part of the drawer community since our family took over planning the bar mitzvah all the details have fallen into place now we have the perfect venue he knows his speech by heart they even planned a big surprise for him his favorite singer is coming to sing I can't even believe all that they've done for us I'm so excited and so is Benny Amon and it's going to be what I always dreamed it would be and what his father would want it to be and they have great Shaba tones where all the kids come together and play it's one of the only places where my kids get to play with other children who are in the same situation they don't judge each other and they understand each other it's like we have a family again and I want to thank the drawer family for making our lives normal again we're having a program or I know that my husband will have work now I know that we are going to have a bright future to look forward to you
