Who likes Lego? >> Me. >> I love Lego. In fact, Lego is one of the toys Dr. Schnitzer played with the most when I was a little little boy. The way Legos are made is very, very interesting. You see, Lego bricks like we have over here, they have bumps on the top and on the bottom they have these holes. And the way it works is the Lego bumps on the top, they click very nicely and firmly inside. You see that? And this allows that you can build up very very high because with the magnetiles, can you build with magnetiles a very tall structure? >> Well, if you do and you touch it, what's going to happen? >> It's going to go fall. What happens if you have little wooden bricks that you're piling on top of each other? Can you build too high? >> No. >> No. It's going to fall. But because Lego has the ones on top sticking out and the ones on the bottom sticking in. So now we can take all sorts of colors and we can make it go higher and higher. See that? And it's very, very sturdy. And look, you can put it upside down and it will stay. For example, look at this tower that Dr. Schnitle made. You see over here? It has bumps on the top. and indents on the bottom. And should we try to turn it upside down and see if it stays? Look, we put it sideways and it stays. And we even put it upside down and it doesn't fall apart. Can anyone guess how we make the bumps and the indents on the bottom of a Lego? >> Mold. >> Mold. That's right. Let me show you how molds work. You see over here? Let's put this over here. Over here we have a mold. Look at that. I'm going to turn it upside down carefully. Here we have a big Lego and a little one and a thin long one. Right. And look what's on the other side. You can pour stuff inside. So look what Dr. Ditz lid. I poured jello inside. Who likes jello? Amazing. And this is the way the Lego company makes the Legos. They pour the special plastic in molds just like this. And when it comes out, we have amazing pieces of Lego. Who would like to eat some jello? >> Okay. So, let's see what we have here. What we're going to do is we're going to turn it upside down. And well, let's see.
