covid19 what are the risks and what are the benefits potentially of getting the vaccination and should you vaccinate or not my name is dr richard roberts i'm a medical doctor and a doctor of biophysics i was also the president and ceo of a pharmaceutical company for 24 years i'm really grateful to you for coming back to this to my youtube channel hopefully this will be very helpful to you i just want to say in the start um i don't i don't take any money i don't have there's no commercials on this video there's no place to donate i'm here strictly for you i want to help you period now there's been uh there have been reports in the news that there have been some adverse reactions to the coronavirus vaccine the covet 19 vaccine specifically last time i checked there were six anaphylactic reactions out of about 276 000 people who had received the vaccine so first of all an anaphylax an anaphylactic reaction is the most severe type of an allergic reaction and it is potentially lethal but the way this vaccine has been given is that everyone has to stay there for 15 minutes and be monitored and if they and the people have the anaphylax anaphylactic reaction they get a shot of adrenaline which is uh called epinephrine and that helps to open up the airways of the lungs they also get a antihistamine which you know blocks allergic reactions and they may get a shot of a steroid so and they've all been fine after that so that's that's six out of um i said 270 6 000 we're going to use even numbers so it's called six people out of 300 000. that comes out to one anaphylactic reaction in 50 000 people that receive shots so what is one in 50 000 mean well first of all the chance of getting hit by lightning which and being killed by lightning i should say is one in 500 000. so yeah so the risk of the vaccine is 10 times more likely than getting hit by lightning but who really cares about getting hit by lightning it was ridiculous and the people the six people had the reaction they were treated and they're okay now now let's look at some alternatives to this uh if you drive a car your risk of dying in a car accident uh each year rain have different ranges based on different uh states but if if but the the the the highest risk is one in 5 000 people and the lowest risk is 1 in 30 000 people so if you if you're if you don't and that's for dying in a car accident whereas for the the sh this shot the vaccine for covert 19 we're only talking about the rare rare rare case of a severe allergic reaction and then they're treated and they're okay so if you do not want to get the coven 19 shot because of the risk you definitely don't want to drive a car i mean forget it there's like no comparison let me give you another example you probably if you your children have had a middle ear infection or bronchitis and or pneumonia you've gone to the doctor and the doctor gave you a penicillin it could have been regular straight penicillin or one of the chemical derivatives of penicillin which are like amoxicillin ampicillin and actually there's another group of antibiotics cephalosporins uh they very likely might have had also well the chance of having an anaphylactic reaction to the penicillins is one in five thousand so you took the antibiotic and you got better and but you took a risk of one in five thousand of an anaphylactic reaction but the covid19 vaccine the chance of having an efflector reaction is is ten times or what one tenth of that ten times less one tenth of that amount so the risks in the vaccine really is look like they're virtually nothing also for the vast majority of people you're not going to get this vaccine not going to be even access to the vaccine for another you know two three four five months and by then there have been many many many many millions of people who've been vaccinated so personally look everything i say is my opinion you have to go by your own licensed medical doctor but me as soon as i get that vaccine hey baby i'm getting i'm getting vaccinated i want this vaccine trouble is i'm not over 65 and i'm not ena i'm not working in health care anymore i'm retired and i'm not living in a nursing home i'm glad about all those things by the way at this moment but uh but as soon as i get the vaccine i'm gonna i'm gonna get it now but why should you even get it well i mean i mean who cares what you know if you're not in the super high risk group of dying from from cove at 19 if you're not over 65 years of age or especially in the 70s 80s or above or if you're not suffering from severe obesity then why even bother you most likely if you get coronavirus you're not going to die from it if you've been enjoying this video so far i hope that you'll please give me a thumbs up as you see below on youtube and also please press the subscribe button the way i think i can make the contribution is by taking very complex or advanced issues that i've been involved in personally whether it's in medicine or science or any aspects of business just tell me you know if what the issues are in the comments below and i'll be glad to look at them and try to make videos for you on those particular topics so why bother to even get the vaccine what what are the benefits uh to you from preventing uh getting coca-19 because most likely like i said unless you're in you know over 65 especially in your 70s 80s not or above or have a major risk factor you're probably not going to die from it here's the issue and i've been talking about this since um march or april if you go check my previous youtube videos we don't know what the long-term effects of this virus might be but we do know that long-term inflammation in blood vessels is a major cause of heart attack stroke many other diseases and and also likely cancer to some some degree so if you get covet and you get over it then you're fine right well not necessarily there's something been identified now called long covered there are many people we don't have the exact numbers yet but it's it but numbers being thrown around are like about 10 of people who had covet at the very least they're having long-term symptoms massive fatigue debilitating fatigue depression that's not responsive to antidepressants hair falling out aches and pains in their bodies many times they show up in emergency rooms thinking that they're having heart attacks and nothing can be found and these look like these are long-term effects of covid and maybe due to long-term inflammation in the blood vessels and i'm just telling you we don't know if if five years from now people are going to start having heart attacks and strokes that statistically they shouldn't have given their age and other risk factors they shouldn't have for another 20 30 40 years down the line so um you really don't want to get covet if you can afford if you can make if you can avoid getting it there's a concept in war it's called you don't want to be the last person to die in battle you don't want to be the last guy to die in the war so in other words you have you know the the the two governments who are fighting they make a decision there's going to be a cease-fire at midnight tonight well over the next eight hours until midnight you don't want to be the guy to get killed in that eight hour period because the war is ending anyway we're now in the home stretch here right the vaccines are out and the more more coming so if you can avoid getting covet you really should social distance and wear a mask and only be around people who are wearing masks because you're wearing masks for you is not sufficient why does a surgeon wear a mask this is that the surgeon doesn't catch uh catch a germ from the patient no this is that he when he talks as he he or she whatever he when he talks doesn't send out germs through saliva or mucus into into the patient and infect the patient's wound so that mask only gives you limited protection it's the other people who have who have coveted who are speaking or laughing or you know or even breathing although to a much lesser degree that need to have their faces covered so they don't throw droplets of covet covered 19 onto you now what are these vaccines that have come out now these rna vaccines i liken it to a factory making cars you have the design of the car right the car is as a design but then you're going to have all the details of of the factory you know you have the factory set up and along the factory line there are people at different stations they're going to be robots some are going to put on the doors i'm going to tighten these screws so you need to have detailed plans that take that design to the car and then translate that into what each station in the factory is going to do some car may need a screw here another one means may need a wheel there and so you have to tell each piece of the factory what to do the plan of the car or the plan of a cell is the dna that's the plan but you but how do you have um how do you look anything different than one blob i'm serious what makes you look different than just a blob of protoplasm and that is because a liver cell looks different than a skin cell looks different from the cell in the eye and i'm like going to all the different types of cells and the skin in the eye and and different than a cell in a gland uh in a gland a different from a from a white blood cell or a red blood cell the cells in the mouth where the cells in the marrow that make them if every cell in your body is the same plan the same dna how are the or how are all of these cells different that's because what does things in your body what takes actions or for the advance by far and away are proteins and the the dna is just telling how each protein is made what are the amino acids that make up each protein but that dna only parts of it gets shown so the proteins can be made in depending on which cells you're talking about different parts of dna gets shown that's how you have differences but the proteins aren't made from the dna from the dna the parts that are shown you have then chemicals made called rna and i'm not going to go into details but then mrna it's the mrna which is the the the which are the instructions to tell the factory how to work that go from from the the the designer shop meaning like the dna to the instructions to tell what the workers and the robots should do on the factory line so you have the dna which is the plan in the cell and off of that comes rna then mrna and mrna goes to a part of the cell like an organ like you have organs in your body an organ in the cell and and that mrna is used to read um read what protein should be made copin 19 sars cove 2 doesn't matter uh is is is if it's a very simple virus made of 29 type proteins actually 28 or 29 but it carries inside of it the mrna for 29 different proteins so you have a choice you can either get you're going to get injected with that with mrna you can either get injected with a vaccine and get the mrna for just one protein of the virus or and that's with a syringe or you can have the virus inject you with mrna for all 29 proteins reproducing the virus in thousands and hundreds of thousands and millions of copies overwhelming your body the way this is spreading and now as you know there's a much more infectious uh genetic mutation that that is now spread through australia and another one in england by the way there was another one in texas going back i don't know a few months ago so uh you're not going to be able to avoid it's unless you're going to live in total quarantine you're not going to avoid this thing uh the other thing is so so let's go so what do you want you want mrna injected for one protein which cannot infect you it's just the one protein that the virus uses to attach to your cells so you do that one protein so that the your immune system can then make antibodies an attack was when the virus comes with all of its proteins as a whole virus the one protein that uses to attach to the cell gets blocked by the antibodies you want to do again advice against the one protein or do you want to get all 29 mrnas injected into by the virus that's what we're talking about before i move on i just want to say i really appreciate again everyone who listens to the channel my my youtube channel this is since i've retired this is what i decided to do when i grow up so thank you for looking watching it and uh please hit the subscribe button if you feel so encouraged and please leave comments especially if there's topics not just medicine or science but any area of business or other areas of life of politics also i've been involved in the highest levels of politics as a donor and advisor so and and a confident confidant so i don't tell secrets but i can tell you what really goes on in government behind the scenes so now one of the questions i get and we're going to conclude with this is uh someone says i've had covet 19 i have antibodies should i still get the vaccine got to listen to your medical doctor but my opinion is i'm not so sure that you should get the vaccine in that case if you so coronaviruses are not new what's new is this particular chronovirus that has some especially vicious um aspects to it qualities to it so we know from coronaviruses that have infected many many people over you know decades and longer that they can have a chronovirus infection they can have antibodies they lose those antibodies and they can and they can get infected again and typically typically they've lost those antibodies over periods of like of like of like three months four months but that doesn't mean that that's what's going to happen with this particular coronavirus especially you know if you've had that whopping infection with it so we really don't know i think what you can do is if you've already had chronic virus fact in fact you know covet 19 affection you could probably wait a while and see you know how the vaccinations are going and see what data comes out see because you have to remember the only people in the world that have more than one year of experience with this virus are the scientists at the wuhan institute of virology that created it nobody else has had more than one year experience you go to a medical doctor whatever your disease is the doctor will tell you what happens one year three years five years 10 years we don't know so if you've had the infection especially if you've antibodies i don't think you need to rush to get vaccinated right away and let's see how how more data comes in if you had antibodies they've gone away it's still not clear that you can that you're going to get it again because there is something called cell mediated immunity so personally i would wait and see unless you're in a truly truly high risk case for children on the other hand the vaccine is not approved for kids under the age of 16. and it looks like young young kids don't just not get symptoms or really get sick but it looks like the virus just doesn't even take hold in their bodies it just like can't reproduce in their bodies it's a very interesting phenomenon as dr falchi has said this is a very strange virus this is unlike anything that we've ever seen before um really strange characteristics which that makes someone suspicious about how it ever came to be so uh with children most of the overwhelming majority children just don't get infected with it so first of all they're not gonna they're not gonna be allowed to get the vaccine now anyway but when they eventually can it becomes available for them we'll have more information and we'll have a more informed discussion at that point now you could say yes there have been a a tiny number of children who have died from or been sick or died from an inflammatory disease from this virus similar to kawasaki's disease it's really getting inflammation in multiple organs in their body but you're always playing the odds in your life you're always playing the odds for example or the risks for example if you wear if you if you wear a seat belt and you get in a car accident the car burst into flames the seat belt might end up killing you because you didn't have time to get out of the car but the vast vast overwhelming probability is that the seat belt will save your life because when the car stops suddenly your head doesn't go flying into the windshield so we wear seat belts we take risks all the time we know that a certain number of minors you know are going to die every year i'm sorry to say that we know that certain number of police officers are going to die every year we don't want a lot a certain number of people in construction are going to die every year as a society to live life you need to accept that there are risks the risk of this vaccine is really really small so when we're talking about the the the few children who have died or been sickened by this virus young children you don't make policies for everybody based on those rare events someone will say oh if even one child can can die we're gonna shut the schools close down society they think they're moral that's not moral they're causing pain and suffering and and all kinds of other medical ailments um psychological and physical on a whole vast population of people so yeah for now children are not vaccinating okay that's it i hope i've been helpful please leave comments if you liked it tell me why if you didn't um please tell me and if you want to hear other topics about again business your even your personal business situations financial situations situations um life situations science medicine at the highest most complex levels i see my job my role as taking those most complex things and sifting through them all and bringing it down to the concepts that everyone can understand thank you very much i really appreciate your watching
