things and yet is a it is a disaster because people have become addicted to the internet and there's some people who spend easily 40 hours a week on the internet and it takes the time away from their eating time away from sleeping time forget associating with the family and children are on the internet and children have computer games I was at a friend's house and the little th who was 11 years old I saw that the child sat watching TV cartoons for 2 and 1 half hours he's a bright little boy and I went over to him and I said to him tell me something that you learned that you remember that you learned last week so he told me something tell me something from the cartoons that you saw last week and you realize you just spent 2 and 1/2 hours totally wasted now whatever you would have done with 2 and a half hours I'm not talking to necessarily that he would have learned TI of but even if you would learn geography or mathematics or whatever something some kind of knowledge and so the the internet and the TV has uh ruined uh a lot of bright lines but if that wouldn't be bad enough we now have that the Su has taken over the internet and he puts all kinds of improper indecent things and men and women are fallen into the Trap there isn't a day that goes by that I don't get a call from a pro family that they found out that the husband was uh hooked on the uh internet pornography and it's a horrible thing breaks up the families it breaks up the to and here you have even a a person who's a shame of M in every other way and you can see the kind of things that they write to me where uh a young man writes I was the star of the Yesa I was the best book and I knew what my future was going to be I was going to being K I was going to get married to some's daughter and have become toce it myself my whole life was planned for me and when I was s my parents brought the internet into the house and since then my life has been steadily downhill I've tried so hard to stop sometimes I stopped for 3 months at a time and I've made a and I've gone to mik and I've set and I've gone toik but it's like a divic that's taking hold of me and he says and I can't talk to anybody about it so I'll never get any help and the end of the letter you are hearing the last gasp of a drowning man and the kid doesn't think twice about it yeah the friends are saying try this so he tries it and he gets an experience a very pleasurable experience so he wants it again that's what happens how some kids get started off the drugs and what happens is that after a few times some drugs get addict person very very fast and we have to realize that there are youngsters out there young men and young women in the aias and in the ban in the boys schools and the girl schools who are using drugs and they're in the achiev I asked one how far do you have to go to get marijuana and he says how far can you stretch out your hand drugs are all around and kids are curious and they use it they don't want to become addicted but before you know it it happens but there is also excessive use of alcohol and that's bad news now uh if for years people been making in the morning or Friday night taking aim after the fish sa morning okay no problem but very often that isn't what happens very often person makes three in he sometimes goes out during Ling in places where there's a kitty's club and makes three of and the two after after the after M and then goes home and takes another two and three and the whole Chamas is shot and he doesn't see that there's anything wrong with that and when we show children a behavior like that the children are have to to copy that first of all if we realize that there is that danger then first of all we have to begin to learn what drugs are out there we have to learn the names of them because the kids know the names you say oh not my child please I've seen children from homes I thought I would never be shocked by anything but one day a young man kid of 16 was admitted to a drug problem and I sat on and cried because he was named after his great-grandfather who mus I learn regularly one of the great sik he car his grandfather's name and it happened to him yeah it's all right to create D but that's a power that go but kids aren going to gambling and parents aren't aware of it they don't think about that and it becomes an addiction I'll tell you something from my experience it's easier to treat a person who's addicted to drugs to heroin and cocaine than somebody who's addicted to gambling and we have to know what to do first of all to talk to them about it to let them know that it's that it's a dangerous habit and if we find it early on that there is a habit to get some expert and ask hey what do I do in this Cas yeah I found out my kids gambling Maybe cing but it's still cing is there anything that I should do about it now and the same thing with alcohol and drugs find the expert thought to life
