Interview with DOVID PEARLMAN!!! (Secret info on his new album) Shira Shebalev

today we welcome you to our first  ever interview on this channel   we welcome one of our predicted future jewish  music stars and miami soloist dovid perlman hey dovid why don't you introduce yourself  to the viewers hey guys my name is david   perlman i'm a 19 year old singer songwriter  and i'm super excited for this interview   thanks so much for having me thanks for  coming on so duvid you sang in miami as a   kid and in the summer you put out the song heaver  shelley did you expect that to get 40 000 views   i did not expect it to get that many views and  uh it has combined over 100 000 streams which is   i think to date one of my highest streaming songs  and it was really exciting to see that people   really connected to it i written the song with the  intent that you know it would resonate with people   because it has to do with friends and friendship  and i thought that you know that's something that   we can all relate to and um i guess you could say  it's a universal message and it really caught on   baruch hashem many of us want to know what goes  into composing a song when it comes to composing   a song it could be one of two ways either i sit  down and i consciously try to come up with a tune   and sooner or later hashem just sends an idea  and then i run over to the piano and i i kind   of play out what i'm thinking until i start  playing it more and more and slowly but surely a   tune just forms or it can hit me when i least  expect it when i'm doing something totally   different i write most of my songs uh they the  idea comes to me on shabbos and there's no way   for me to remember it so the time the shabbos is  over the song sounds very different or i forgot   the song entirely and um slowly it comes back to  me but um usually it actually hits me when i least   expect it just a tune pops into my head and i  gotta i grab my phone and record it on voice memos   i know others that have voice memos full of  melodies as well as us at the jewish singer's   channel are predicting that in five years you will  be in the top three jewish singers shortlist how   does that make you feel and where do you think  you'll be at that time i really appreciate that   listen only hashem knows what the future holds  but i do hope that um i continue doing what i love   which is creating music and performing all over  the world and um i i'm very honored that you uh   you guys have that projection and i let's see  hashem i hope to be doing this this is something i   want to continue to do throughout my life i think  that it's definitely um i think my top kid to   is his music really to you know um help uh  people who may be going through a tough time to   uplift them to uplift their shamas and to bring  ultimately bring people closer to barack obama   yeah that's a really special thing be ezra's  hashim you will continue to rise we do have   a video on your predicted rank in five years  coming out soon so everyone stay tuned for that so dovid you said you were working on an album  that had to get stopped due to this situation   when do you think it'll come out and is there  any secret info you could share i am working   on an album um over the past couple of years and  it's been a long time in the process of being made   and this whole coronavirus situation really slowed  things down but i can tell you hashem it looks   like i'll be able to resume sooner than later very  soon and we're looking forward to that and as far   as the secrets i can share with you let's put it  this way one of your videos predicts a certain   collaboration and you're pretty correct with that  with that uh idea that you had that wow i think i   know what you're talking about everyone go watch  our other videos and see if you can figure it out   our friendship is at what age did you know you  wanted to sing when you grew up so i come from a   family of singers my father sings professionally  he has an album out called pishnayam   going back from like 2005. his father  my grandfather was a choir leader in   the young israel of bethel for rosh hashanah  yom kippur which is a big cantorial choir and   his father sang and his father saying all from my  father's side my mother's side not so much but um   and since i was born really since i learned to  speak i was singing even before i knew how to   speak i was singing gibberish and um then i used  to go with my father on acapella jobs which he   had an acapella group called the jabba tones i  would go with him um on shabbos gigs you know   me my mother my sisters we'd all go with my father  on these jobs so and i always had such a fun time   and i knew this is what i wanted to do when i was  eight years old i joined the miami boys choir i   was in the miami boys choir for five years and  from the moment i stepped foot on that stage i'm   like this is something i could really see myself  doing it's not only is it fun but it's rewarding   from the perspective of that you can you  know people have reached out to me over the   years and said how my music has touched their  souls has inspired them gotten through them to   gotten them through tough times and there's  nothing better than seeing your hard work is   is being paid off by people resonating with it  and so i feel that um from a young age from a   little kid i knew i wanted to do this it's a  really special thing you have a lot of talent it's been an amazing interview with  you dovid so much for having me   thanks for coming on looking  forward to having you back and uh looking
