the name Palestine is a very ancient name that comes from the word Philistines from the Bible those people who occupy the coastal strip of Israel near to where it Gaza today the Romans destroyed the Jerusalem and they wanted to arrest any Jewish son so they called This Land Palestine people started to forget about this name when the Turkish the Muslim Nation took control on Israel they call it South Syria and that Palestinians came to Israel they brought back the name Palestine and the people that used to live here Jews Muslim Christian all of them call themselves Palestinians all those who accept the Israeli country call themselves Israel all those who fought against Israel kept the name Palestinians most of the Arabs that lives in Israel comes from the countries around Israel like Lebanon Syria they are not the Philistines of the Bible
