Do you really want Moshiach now? Close your eyes for a moment and imagine that Moshiach has already come. He's here. Everything is great. Everything's marvelous. Everything's amazing. You jump out of bed in the morning, to daven with the dawn, after learning for an hour before davening, and you run to the Beis Medrash. On your way, your neighbor, who you haven't spoken to in the last six months, gives you a big smile. You arrive at the Beis Medrash 20 minutes early. At the door, the Palestinian cleaner says to you: Good morning, sir. Please make sure you learn with all your energy and concentration today. You greet your Chavrusa and immediately, you get down to learning. You’ve zero desire to schmooze with him. You plunge into the Gemara. Every Sugya is open before you like a brilliant, clear landscape. You have absolutely no desire to get up and make a cup of coffee or check your cell phone. Everything is wonderful, but... you feel something's missing. In Koheles, it describes the days of Moshiach as ימים שאין בהם חפץ. Not desirable days. The commentators explain that they won't be desirable days because there will no longer be a struggle between the Yetzer Hara and yourself. Those things that we had to fight for so hard, our daily battles, to control where we look, what we think, not to be jealous, to pray and learn with attention and love, for all of those challenges in which we succeeded and we receive so much reward. Well... when Moshiach comes, we’ll no longer have that struggle and therefore, we’re no longer going to get that reward. And that's why they’re called, You know you can no longer get that ultimate reward for meeting a challenge and succeeding in overcoming it. Of course, everyone wants Moshiach now, but remember, when Moshiach isn't here right now, that's when the big bucks are flowing. That's when your reward is astronomical. That's when it's beyond imagination. So grab that opportunity now. It's not going to last forever. Every day we wait for him, and of course, of course, of course we want him now. But right now, while we still have the opportunity, grab it! Think of all that reward stashed up in the only place that it really matters, in the first National Bank of Olam Haba.
