Discovering the Jewish Quarter of Nicotera in Calabria, Italy

This is the beauty of traveling. I just stumbled into a little city called Nicotera and I drove in and look what I found. The Jewish quarter. Frederick II let the Jews come here and it became known as the Jewish quarter. And of of course with time this became like the vibrant trade uh because of the ports silk and other things. And this is the Jewish quarter. And let's walk in. This is the first time I'm actually walking down. And what I've learned is that in the 15th century, the Spain took it over and uh we moved to the next stop. As you can see that it says here the Jewish quarter. And uh I wonder where the shield was. I'm sure it has to be somewhere here, but I asked one person and they said not that they know of. I'm sure there was somewhere.
