Dibros or Commandments?

few observations related to the Aseres Hadibros. Number one, so in Loshon Kodesh it's known as Aseres Hadibros. In English it's known as the Ten Commandments. The truth is we mentioned this once in a Red By. It's not ten mitzvahs, Aseres Hadibros. Mitzrayim it's a big Rishonim whether that's a mitzvah. The Ramban right in the beginning of Aseres Hadibros says it's a mitzvah as I say. There's a mitzvah as I say to believe. But a lot of Rishonim are not minded as a mitzvah as I say. And the reason is you can't command me to believe in something. If I believe in it, so now you can tell me, "Okay, I believe. I'm in." So now you'll command me what I need to do as a result of the fact that I'm in. But you're going to command me to believe it almost doesn't make sense. So the first of the Dibros is not even a commandment according to many Rishonim. The second of the Dibros of Avodah Zarah has multiple commandments. Lo Yihyeh is a commandment. Lo Sa'aseh is a commandment. Lo Sishtachaveh is a commandment. Lo Sa'avdem is a commandment. Right? There's a lot of mitzvahs. Go through the Rambam and see if mitzvahs he's minus several mitzvahs in the second commandment. Right? So is it a Is it a commandment? Shabbos. Zachor es Yom haShabbos l'kadshecho is a mitzvah as I say. Is a Lo Sa'aseh. So really we refer to it as the Ten Dibros, not the way it's known in the secular world as the Ten Commandments. Really Aseres Hadibros is a more accurate way of describing it because it's not Ten Commandments. It's a lot more than Ten Commandments. Now where does the word Dibros come from? It's Parshas Va'Yedaber Elokim es kol haDvarim ha'eileh leimor. That's where those words come from. Right? Dibros. Dibros which I guess yeah. The pasuk doesn't say Va'Yedaber Elokim es kol haMitzvos ha'eileh leimor. It says it's kol haDvarim ha'eileh leimor. And we're using the loshon of the Torah which is Dvarim, Dibros. And as a result it goes down as Aseres Hadibros. But the Ten Commandments, that loshon is a little bit of a misnomer.
