Detective Joe Isnardi Walkout Day Part 3

the lak police department black State's honorable discharge presented to detective Lieutenant Joseph F is nardy JR R 2011 appreciation for the service and dedication to the lak police department March 19th 1984 to August 28 2009 [Applause] already heard that Joe was a member of our uh underwater uh search and Recovery team uh this team was originally founded sometime around 1983 84 by uh Master diver and underwater inspector uh James P Carney I'm sure there are people here um any dive we would go on in uh freezing cold water uh we go under ice we go in almost any kind of condition Black Water uh with dry suits with 40 50 lb weak belts and uh Joy's Joy's always there with us and those type of situations create a strong bond similar to those from the Tactical Team and U We Go Together up here away for vacations and dive down Florida and that's one of the reasons why Joe is ending up down in Big Pine PE not only is a neighbor of Zach but also two downs down where I have a little Bungalow down there also so Joe it really is a pleasure and I only wish that uh J Carney could be here with me presenting this to his favorite diver um I can't say the nickname that he got for you but you know what it is I'm sure some people in the audience might know as well but but it it is a pleasure to uh present this plaque to you from myself and from Jim in honor of your diving uh diving abilities and all the jobs that you did looking for not only guns weapons proceeds from burglaries but also unfortunately bodies that we have to recover so Joe thank [Applause] you again um I do give this to him with a heavy heart um you know I knew Joe before he got the department we graduated from you got his Associates at OCC he went to work for uh Jean Hendricks with the Jean's F I'm sure there's some oldtime L people here who remember that and I remember going into jeans and Joe is the gun guy he was Jean's gun expert and he would talk to me about the police department and you know say well what do you think you know I said hang in there Joe it'll happen and sure enough it it certainly did and we're happy that it did so um Joe has not just been an employee um he's about 10 years younger than I am and I've always looked at Joe as a friend and almost like a younger younger brother so Joe is with a heavy heart but of course I'm happy that you're going to someplace warm and someplace that uh you'll be happy and we wish you the uh the best in [Applause] okay every everyone here is invited to uh come over to the elves Club over on kened Boulevard and we have we have some food and refreshment set up there for Joe and I say anyone who wants to invited over there session will be leaving front of headquarters and like to see as many people over there as as able to come thank you [Applause] I'd like to thank everybody for coming today there's two numerous uh to mention here uh just especially from the cross office rley Chief Charlie for coming up um and I just thank everybody for coming and uh sharing this experience with Joe I know it means a lot to him and we see up thank you get [Applause] w [Applause] oh [Applause]
