Despite the waves of antisemitism and the pain of internal strife, Torah gave tools to rise above

Despite the unspeakable atrocities committed by Hamas against our people in this war, [music] anti-semitism is still rearing its ugly head right here in the United States. But instead of reacting [music] with fear, the Torah gives us profound inspiration to channel that fear [music] into action. In 588 B.C.E. when the fir when when the first temple was conquered by king of Babylon, the prophet Ezekiel describes the siege as having [music] supported the walls of Jerusalem. This interesting choice of words supported [music] teaches us that everything happens to us through the hand of God. Even anti-semmites are sent to us by God. [music] Why? To bring out the best in us. And just like back then in the destruction of our first temple which led to a series of unprecedented [music] unity amongst the Jewish people. So too today with this war with Hamas, the Jewish people are experiencing a spiritual [music] awakening the likes of which we've never seen before. Laying to filling, lighting shabas candles, and standing united. This is not destruction, it's construction. [music]
