so no still this is clerk we are here to
file our petition for Publican primary
you you not our
sign you need to sign here and down
here's no difference but we have to know
how yes it sounds poor but I didn't make
and you
[Laughter]
have work for Sandy
kofax
$20 it as Harold Hal just Harold Hal or
just Harold Hal you're registered as
Harold but if you want the how in there
you can but put it after the Harold in
quotation like in quotation but you're
officially registered on the voter
system as right as Harold right
yes I have no idea go
online I don't mean oh wait let me put
our slogan on the U on the front did I
put
our regular he organization of Ocean
County
great
really hi I'm Hal Halverson I've been
living in Lakewood now going on six
years I've lived in Oran County for 40
years uh this I find this to be an
exciting opportunity for me to join uh
with Steve and Manos and Isaac to
continue uh what was started a few years
ago with reversing the trend that had
been taking place in lakid for many
years and hopefully I can make a
contribution to us continually to reduce
cost hold cost and provide the services
that the the township
requires very excited to be running with
Hal Halverson this year I think it's a
wonderfully balanced ticket I am uh
hopeful
and confident that we will have a very
clean campaign uh it will be a campaign
based on our record over the past two
and a half years in the past two years
I've been able to with the help of the
committee cut taxes here in Lakewood
we're one of the only we're one of the
only towns in the in the area that's
been able to do that in fact almost 10%
of the municipalities in New Jersey are
looking for a waiver for their cap and I
think that you know that's very
important to the voters and taxpayers in
in Lakewood that you know last year we
had a tax cut this year with the with
the help of the Board of Education and
the fire fire budget uh fire district
and with the township coming in with a
flat budget that we will um have another
tax cut this year I know that uh U as an
aside I'd like to just thank all of
those um who came out in the last few
days encouraging me um prodding me
asking me if I was going to be running
for the assembly as most of you should
know from the video here posted on the
scoop last night at the County
Convention you know for the sake of
party Unity for the sake of um U
avoiding a
primary I felt that overall at this time
it is better that I focus my efforts
into my re-election on the township and
that's where we're that's what we're
going to do I look forward to running
with Hal I've known how for quite a
while now uh certainly very articulate
very knowledgeable about local issues
and uh we hope to have very clean
campaign thank you
