Day #66–Rambam DAILY Sefer HaMitzvos

today is day number 66 of our daily study of ramen Seva Mitzvahs exciting news we are starting a new section of halachas and the three chapters today we're finishing off with chapters 18 and 19 of those laws so uh correspondingly let's do the myths for the correspondence to the laws of sanctification of the new moon that is you're all familiar with it we've been doing it for several days positive commandment 153 the Commandment which is incumbent upon the high court to sanctify the new moon as well as to add a an extra month which we call a leap year uh as required as necessary in accordance with the explanations we've been giving for the past several days okay and that concludes uh uh so we're not going to be studying this commandment positive 153 again until next cycle next year God willing and we're starting a new section of halachas chapter one of Hillcrest tinius the laws of fasts or fast days and correspondingly what do we have today we have positive commandment 59 which is to sound the trumpets in the Holy Temple there was a Mitzvah to sound the trumpets at various different times on different occasions on the times of our joy happy days like uh yamtov we learned about yomtif right in helicus or on the we've been studying about that for several days but also they would sound the trumpets and this is why we're studying this Mitzvah now because they would also sound the trumpets during fast days as well as other times of trouble such as when the people would go out to war so that is the Mitzvah that we're studying today and actually because tinius continues tomorrow as well we will also be studying that Mitzvah actually we're going to study that myth for God willing tomorrow as well as the next day the day after tomorrow and then we're going to get into a new set of laws the day after tomorrow God willing we'll see you then we'll see you tomorrow God willing and the day after tomorrow and God willing all the days until we finish this entire cycle of the daily study of mishna Toyota and I guess we're studying the safer Mitzvahs but the daily as it corresponds to the Daily study of mission Tyler you know what I'm talking about okay we'll see you tomorrow God willing
