Day 4 Chanukah Kavana with Harav Yussie Zakutinsky

electric everybody. It's the fourth night of Khan. You know the the the minute of the Jewish people is is that the way you light the Khan man is that you begin with the newer candles, right? And then eventually you end and sort of you return back to the original one. That's how uh that's how we light Kaneka candles. So there's a lesson in that. There's lesson in that. You know when a person does the mitzvah for the first time, it's uh it's done with excitement. It's done with simplicity. It's done with pashas. It's done with a pure heart. When a person's a kid and they lit the candles for the first time, or when you're a kid and you assert mitzvah for the first time, it's like it's just with an with a simplicity and an honesty. And then as we get older, we certainly increase our understanding of the mitzvah. We increase our our, you know, the depth of of our approach to to the mitzvah. But to a certain degree, Kaneka is telling us a message which is with all of your sophistication and with all of the madregas that a person reaches in their which comes to time and age and growth, always remember to return to that simple simple feeling of the time that you were a little kid and you did the mitzvah for the first time with absolute sincerity and devotion and simplicity and joy and with all the complexity and the madregus and the and the details that a uh develops, you know, and and and and builds upon. Always remember that those added lights always return to the original light. That one that was done with utter simplicity and utter sim and utter devotion. That's the key to increase in one's sophistication but not to lose the andas because of that. So we light the candles to delve into that should help us. So we should always increase in our learning, increase in our void, increase in our deting, increase in our in our deep understanding of of Yiddish kite, but never to lose sight of the core of the of that inner point of devotion of sim of tim like a childlike avoid that everything has to be built on and everything ultimately flows back into.
