Day #217–Rambam DAILY Sefer HaMitzvos

today is day number 217 of our daily study of RA and in the three chapters of day of M we are concluding with chapter 13 of those and we're beginning a new section other primary sources of impurity okay so let's do the Mitzvah today we have two Mitzvah one corresponding to finishing up and it's a repeat I told you there only four uh categories of impurity in and we've already covered all four so we're going to repeat positive commandment 104 which you know uh the impurity of a z and we explained what a z is it's a man who has an abnormal discharge from his reproductive organs okay fine we did that already not going to go into that in detail now we're starting a new section called hilus V other primary sources of impurity you're probably familiar with the concept of an a meaning a father of impurity so aice is father's plural uh you probably remember when we introduced that concept is it was when we were learning uhas the impurity imparted by a corpse and we explained that the corpse is a the father of fathers meaning whatever is exposed to it itself becomes a primary source of impurity um so we are now going into other forms of a of primary sources of impurity okay um meaning to say some somebody who touches one of those things can turn around and defile something else follow okay so uh positive commandment 96 the ritual impurity of a nvea a nvea is an animal carcass um it means an animal that wasn't slaughtered through ritual Slaughter basically roadkill and that is an auma okay so that's our mits for today and we're going to continue learning like the name of the section here is other primary sources of impurity so we're going to learn what the rest of those are uh in the coming days we'll see you again tomorrow God willing
