Day #130–Rambam DAILY Sefer HaMitzvos

today is day number 130 of our daily study of ramen and in the three chapters a day of mishna Torah we are still in helghastrumise however we're going to be finishing those laws we're doing chapters 13 14. and 15. and uh and that's it and that will be the CM so we have just one Mitzvah today a negative commandment and that is the prohibition against a from eating the holy Foods okay we should explain what that word is Halala a Halala is a very specific technical category for a woman who had intimate relations with a kohen that she's forbidden to marry because he's a Cohen meaning not because of other reasons not because let's say uh their brother and sister okay uh but she's forbidden from marrying him because he's a kind what would be the case in point here let's say she is a divorced woman so a coin's not allowed to marry a divorced woman so if she had relations with him she becomes a Halala another way of a woman being a Halala is the daughter that's born from such a relationship meaning a daughter that's born from a mother and a father where the father is a kind and the mother was forbidden to marry that kind because he is a kind okay it's a very specific category she's called a Halala and she is not permitted to eat truma or other food gifts that are normally given to a kind and which a kind is permitted to share with his household okay so that is the end of the truma related mitzvahs and do you remember we had a couple days ago the myth about following the order of operations and we said after the truma there's something called Miser which goes to the levy so you want to guess what uh halachas were starting tomorrow because they told you we're finishing through mice today okay right so we're going to start mice rice that's the plural for miser tomorrow we'll see you then God willing
