David Frankel - Fernando Sor

Fernando saw was a great guitarist. He lived at the turn of the 18th to 19th century. He started his life in Spain but spent most of it in Paris. He left us with a wonderful repertoire of beautiful guitar pieces and was considered the greatest in his time. He was a great teacher and was instrumental in teaching the coming generation how to continue the tradition of the guitar. The piece of his I chose to perform for you today, he wrote as a study for his students. But I find it so warm and so beautiful. I consider it his most remarkable piece. Enjoy.
