National Geographic/Lindblad: No Kosher Meals

regarding uh your potential Voyage with us you know I've looked into it I've talked through operations and this is going to be something that we will not be able to accommodate for this time around too okay um Okay so I suggest like next time maybe you know we we have a little bit more time to plan things the way that we like to do things we would feel more comfortable doing I'm just bringing food on board the issue is that I mean I was looking to to book this through the Starwood Hotel auction um and that auction doesn't end for another week so that's why it's last minute like this oh I apologize yeah so I mean I wish that there was something that I could do for you but I really tried to go out above and beyond what what it's you know within our realm of possibilities and solices on board so I apologize I mean what what what is the issue with the place in Buenos Iris the open kosher so there's a couple of there's a couple of issues number one that we've this just really gen know how we operate we like to do the food on board the only way that I can make sure that you're being catered For is if my chefs that are trained for to do these things are doing it so we are not I'm not really comfortable like buying ready to eat food without me even seeing it or knowing anything about it and then the logistics from bringing it down to shua it's just a lot more than you know it's just not fair on the team that's doing the logistic from that end so you know we like to do things the right way we like to plan it map it out right I mean the issue is that as an orthodox to I mean I couldn't even with bringing the ingredients there it wouldn't work for me that way anyway well no because our cluer guidelines are and test so specifically in the guidelines they're not cater for orthodox we simply I understand but I mean I've other cruise lines usually don't have an issue with arranging for airline meals I'm not really sure what the issue is with the airline meal and we don't have issues and we don't have issues catering for coachers we do it but we do it our way and the way that our operation works so you know it's it's a fit it's the way that we do business and it's the way that other crood companies do business you know I'm not I'm not comfortable with it so um so you w do I I guess I'm not sure what exactly is not comfortable if if there if this company that caters food for the airlines ships it to isua that's not something that we can work out no that's not something that we this is not how we operate down we bring our own things on board and we cook our own kosher meals on board right you you can't cook a kosher meal on board that's not possible it's cook a kosher meal if it's not a kosher kitchen that's just not something that's well we segregate an area in the galy and we wrap everything with um aluminum foil so it's all segregated so we've done this before we we and we know how much we can do and we've had guest that are being very pleased with what we can offer right I mean why has I been the past week you've implied that it would be okay to work us out with him that's why I've been working with him to make a menu well and I've been and I've been trying to work on my end as well my operations my Logistics my shfs and everything and I just spoke to my bosses and our operations team and reservation and this is some something that we simply need to turn down so I just wanted to is this about the cost of those meals I mean I don't mind no it's not about the cost it's about the planning Daniel it's about the amount of time this planning requires it's about we we know what we can do really well and whatever we we are unsure that we can do really well we just rather not do it until we do until we know that we can do really well and we're just not comfortable right now doing it so in other words there's not really any way for an orthodox Jew to go on one of your cruises that's what you're trying to sayure guidelines do not are not for orthodox and they say so on the document I understand I'm just very shocked that you wouldn't be able to accommodate an Orthodox Jewish traveler well and I've never encountered that in my life in ADV I understand you're letting me know I'm just shocked that you can't make an exception in a case of of a strict diet well no we we should okay we write down what we can do we I I understand what you wrote I'm just shocked that it's not possible to accommodate that's all well I don't I don't know why if you have a sealed meal why it can't just be warmed up on board it's not it's not really asking that much I could I could I could ship have them ship a box to you and all you need to do is put it in an oven and that's it that's that's that's the end of it I'm not sure why the logistics are very complicated here it's it's quite easy no it's how we operate so yeah I'm sorry but there's nothing that we can do this time around can can I have a manager speak to me I am the
