Toys for Hospitalized Children

when I was 4 years old I was playing with my mom's shabus candles and my entire arm was covered in third degree burns and I was an intensive burn unit for close to a month my brother bought me this little yo-yo and I would learn tricks and I remember what that experience was for me I want to dedicate my life to bringing toys to kids in the hospital today we operate all across the United States we have a division in Israel by the name toys for Simka we give out toys we build pediatric playrooms our organization's motto of Happy Kids heal faster is our one and only goal we want to see Smiles on all the children's faces we want to help them heal faster and get home sooner we can't change what the medical treatment is what we do have control over is trying to make it the best possible experience whatever they're going through just to be able to pull them out of what they're dealing with with for that brief moment and see that smile that comes on their face it lights up their world and it's it's a really incredible feeling we launch starting here on man's Hospital the happy shop the happy shop is a shopping experience for a kid in the hospital an application that allows a sick child directly from their hospital bed go online and order a toy have that toy delivered directly to their hospital bed absolutely for free our are to build pediatric playrooms all across Israel as well as some hospitals here in America we're almost finished construction on the Stewie R pediatric playroom at lado hospital in natana this state-of-the-art playroom will be a happy place for all kids we're standing inside the future toys for Simka playroom at Schneider Children's Hospital you see this stunning state-ofthe-art location is going to be the home of our new playroom each department is going to have one room you see acrosser are two rooms there's one on this floor and one on the floor right above us our mission here is to make kids smile and heal and there's no doubt that uh by what you do and the people you bring here and the music and the toys we're accomplishing our mission with you we've been working with Imad Medical Center for a long time but specifically now with the happy shop the team here have been unbelievable they're doing God's work and we could not be happier with better Partners we really appreciate the hard work that they've been doing and supporting our mission and our cause it's a real pleasure working with Rabbi HEC and the rest of the team at toys for hospitalized children it really makes a tremendous difference when children are happy like when they receive toys they tend to heal faster being able to kind of bring that joy and us being able to facilitate it is very exciting our team at toys for hospital as children has really high hopes for the program and for the growth of the organization we're very excited to have the happy shop of grow not just here in New York our vision is to really bring this incredible gift to every hospital and to every sick child so for us to be able to do this and to continue to grow this program from a toy selection to having it be a natural routine as a part of our job is really impactful immediately after the terror attacks on October 7th we sprung into action we decided to expand our operations to help all victims especially the children we led the most meaningful and emotional mission Israel we visited hospitalized kids survivors and victims of Terror we cried with the children we laughed with the children we offered our love and support to every precious Survivor and we distributed lots and lots of toys the smiles on their faces what makes our mission so meaningful to donate or volunteer visit us online at toys hc. org or visit us on Instagram at toys for hospitalized children
