foreign [Music] Community Federation the SEF has been working closely with all our elected officials we've worked hard to develop relationships that really address the key issues in our community one thing we've been missing is we don't have enough voters it's an obligation on every single one of us to register and to vote there is so much available to our community if we would simply vote crime is a major issue today everybody's concerned they're worried about safety education funding is primarily done through the state our relationship with State officials has helped the yeshivas get millions of dollars New York state has some of the highest taxes in the entire country the key to it is having elected officials that are responsive to communities needs in Florida where there are 11 000 students in Yeshiva 4 000 of them received scholarships from the state of Florida and those scholarships average seven thousand dollars a child how did that happen well let me tell you something else about Florida you may not know 70 to 80 percent of the Jewish Community votes in every election in our community only 20 to 25 percent of the people vote so let me ask you why would politicians care about our concerns and our priorities if we don't vote our vote is our voice and that's when they respond to our needs like they did in Florida we have an opportunity to change the trajectory to change the way that things are run We complain about the issues that plague our community especially young families who are worried about taking the train to work worried about Rising tuition costs the answer is to vote our elected officials take special notice to communities who vote the more we vote the stronger our voices gentleman we came from Syria in Syria we don't have a right to say what we want here we came to America free country we have to go to vote we urge everybody to go out and vote if everyone in our community does that we can make a difference I urge you to vote to make sure that as a community we show up if we were involved and participate in our government there will be more funny institutions there will be support for everything we need how could it be we're not taking that small walk to the voting and casting our ballot it's a Mitzvah to vote throughout our history in galuck we have always prayed for the government of the countries that we lived in because we recognize that their success has very much to do with our success we can't just pray that the government does well we have to go out and vote that's what we can do to make a difference as someone who cares deeply about our community and our community's future I urge you to go out and vote find the time and make it happen because you could change the future of our people in this country now is the time to make a difference for our community you must go out and vote Tuesday November 8th is the key date you can also vote early you can vote from Sunday October 30 through Sunday November 6th please keep in mind this year some polling sites have been changed together we can make a difference we can create our own voting block make it happen foreign [Music]
