is Shalom was was an individual that uh in this community also the the the bits of Torah how meav opened up at the very beginning it was a war it was a war and he pushed through he pushed and he pushed and he pushed he didn't take no for an answer he kept on going he was very concerned about the yut that was going on in the in those countries of Morocco Algeria Tunisia the whole that whole region was very very difficult I don't know if you know the history The Alliance the French Alliance had destroyed the whole school system there and took everything down everything originally my grandfather really tried to talk to them that's fascinating he said he spent time in Paris and he had aay elay anybody ever heard ofay he spent hours there they didn't understand what he was talking about they didn't have an interest they didn't they didn't give into anything so he went back and he and he built the with with Isa Shalom and he uh opened up school after school city after City and those was all supported by by Isaac Shalom and it's unbelievable how did he leave the Yesa was right after the war the Yesa just came to America how was he how did he leave the Yesa he went there for six months he got sick also got sick he got ulcers but the um the truth is that the took care of the and the the monetary of he took the full responsibility that person with a vision a person with a vision and a drive and didn't take no for an answer 70 years ago opening up a school here for thean Community was unheard of what are you talking about impossible they have a school system Public School System that's what they wanted that's what everybody's interest was he didn't take no for answer he had a it was a you probably know what's his name what Ralph Towell right that was his fell that worked for him he was his manager right and he uh he pushed him he made him make their they had a place where they used to get together for Community uh ideas and you know wasn't so uh wasn't so good but he he made out a bit of school he made a bit made out of school is Shalom used to go around in eth grade and maybe you were there you remember those days my father my uncles remember used to give them vouchers to come to high school for free to marry Yesa we had 77 Assyrian boys here had a time that's a what is that's a 70 a 70 is more or less what it came to an end but it was RAB Klein was the principal used to count Grand complained about different boys they said if he's Syrian you can't throw him out if Ash you can throw him out you the reason was very simple because Ash all they
