people are moving from all over the tri-state area to the Jersey Shore Community there's a capacity issue with Community infrastructure currently the community is not what it was 10 years ago it's not 3 4 500 families we're talking about thousands and thousands of students in the community right now our schools for the first time are at capacity there's a lot of Need for new infrastructure I'm living here 15 years the need for another school is is undeniable a rabbi from the community in Brooklyn called me he was somebody who started Yeshiva himself he said if you see a need you need to just do it absolutely there's no question about it that we come from one of the greatest communities in the world and the name of our yes is playing on the fact that we want to build on the heritage of our fathers and we want to build on that we want to be able to graduate our students to become great citizens in their own right I've been hoping to do this for many years because I come from a background where I didn't have the opportunity to grow up in a Jewish environment I grew up in France where it was very difficult if not almost impossible to practice openly religion like we do here in the states as much as I dream and I wish for everybody to have the judaic side I think it's just as important if not as crucial to have also the other side fundamental growth in education from the secular end of it our vision is to educate a student that is going to be filled with the love of Torah and at the same time have a tremendous General Studies experience on top of that we want to equip students with life skills how many students will tell you that they graduate from high school and they're not ready for the real world they know the Pythagorean theorem but they don't know what a credit card does or how to apply for a mortgage we want to incorporate education that is Meaningful to the students beyond the classroom I would like to give a very big to my very dear friend of over 30 years here by Leon Cohen who has jumped in the and says I'm here I'm ready to take on this project Rabbi Cohen is the star of the school people believe in him and believe in his mission there is no man like him with his Integrity his heart his devotion his love for the children in the community they are the future of our community they're going to have children of their own and that's the chain that we want to continue there's just so much Buzz going on about a new school in the community because it's been a long time coming the feedback and the the excitement is off the charts this is more than just for today this can be a new foundation for the community here in Deal we're starting this year kindergarten in first grade starting September 2024 we have a building locally in the heart of the community we invite everybody to come look into the school call us find out what we're about and we believe you'll be very [Music] impressed
