Lau Center Event - Full Coverage

Good evening everybody. My name is Harry Azby. For the few of you that may not know, I am honored to be in the home of the Dagne family. John and I are just catching up on some wonderful, wonderful history and reminiscing and see the beautiful pictures of the rabbis of the previous generations here on the window. some of the most incredible rabbis that gave their whole life to Torah, to Kabal, to the people, to blessing them. And I think that it is a great honor and a great pleasure for me to be able to introduce the chief rabbi of Israel, David Laauo, who comes from generations and generations. But I know that the chief rabbi learned from his father, Rabbi Israel, so much of how to conduct himself with the Jewish nation, with the people, whether they were from Israel or the people that he visited throughout the despora. You know, I'm going to give you a statistic and it it's very poignant. We feel like, and maybe the world feels like we're a big nation, but in fact, I want everybody to know that's listening. There were 8.6 maybe 8.7 million Jews living in the state of Israel. There are another 8 million Jews living throughout the world. So when you look at Australia and France and England and Belgium and Canada and the United States, it's a it's nearly 8 million people. We are but a fraction of the 8.5 billion people living in the world. And look what we've accomplished. And look what we become. And look at what we are. And look at what we mean. And sadly, they're jealous of us. I've heard countless rabbis speak over the years about the jealousy that they have for the Jew. They don't want to they don't want to acknowledge us. They don't want to love us. They don't want to respect us. And that leads to my point. So you take people like Rabbi David Lao who was given his whole life to the Jewish nation all over the world and now he has a dream to put the Lao center in the heart of Jerusalem to be one of the Mizuz one of the key one of the key places that a Jew from anywhere around the world should come to visit and they come to the center and they will be welcomed and there will be so many things there that are so opportunistic for them to open up their minds. You know, today we cannot judge if they're reform. We cannot judge if they're conservative. We cannot judge what type of orthodoxy. There are so many levels of it. We have to all realize that everyone has the right to come home. Everyone has the right to embrace our holy Torah. Everyone. But if you don't have places like the Lao Center, how are you going to get that opportunity? How are they going to open up their minds and their eyes? And just to meet Rabbi Laauo shows you and tells you who we are as a people. Just let them sit with him. And I promise you, a family could walk in one way. I promise they will come out a completely different family of understanding our Jewish faith and the 3,300 years that we've we've had to go through the world and we lasted. They didn't last. Nation upon nation upon nation didn't last. But the Jewish nation lasted the children of the kadosh that he has our back and he watches us lasted. Is it without tremendous toil and difficulty? No, no, there is difficulty. But Israel and the home of the Jewish nation has become so critical because I see England, France, Belgium, possibly Germany. They're they're collapsing. They're collapsing. I know they're collapsing. And I speak to the remnant in those countries specifically. I I don't know how many Jews in by 2030 are going to be in France. I can't promise you how many will stay in England other than big businessmen and people that um could be assimilated could be running you know tycoons. But for the most part to live beyond walls, not be able to bring freedom and wear your yarmaka in the streets of France and what does that mean? Israel. Israel. Israel. That's our home. That's the nation that we will all turn to. Rabbi Laauo will be there to greet them, to open his arms to them, and to show them the beauty of what they had, have and will be able to have. And I want to be on on video that we spoke about it, you know, and every time I would go to Israel, everyone has a collection of what they get. It remind me my first meeting with that I don't know what it means. I found in Yusha more than than 400 teenagers that they found themselves in the road for very good houses, very good families, but they didn't find the way their parents didn't find the way to speak with. So 300 girls and 100 boys this year between 13 to 18 learned we schedule not is the road. We are taking them from the deep of the world to build themsel who has a connection with the family. They went they went to sleep at home who wasn't they are coming and we have apartments to keep them with them. So a lot of topics you can see in the papers here. A lot of topics we must do it.
