Jersey Shore Yeshiva Event - Recap

[Music] to our inaugural event at Yeshivat JSY. This is a special day, the opening of our Yeshiva Torah. Today we make Jersey Shore history with the opening of Jersey Shore Yoshiva JSY, the option of a boy's high school. You have to realize, the community has to realize this. This is a major miracle. This is a one in a time investment because we're establishing a school that is born from the of this community. At JSY, we will strive to develop responsible benetrah who are deeply connected to their heritage, committed to personal growth, and prepared to live successful, meaningful lives. Something in its infancy, something in its early stages that's beginning, and we're here to support you. >> I just want to start by sharing a story about my wife's grandfather, Mr. Ralph Tower. Love Shalom. And they stopped off in Hawaii for one day. They decided to stay at the hotel on the beach and they saw a catamaran. And he goes on this boat and he said as they're turning the boat, it was windy. He fell off the boat and he said he didn't know how to swim. You know, Ralph Tal grew up in an orphanage. He never got swimming lessons. And he said he starts to cry. And he starts to pray to Hashem, I don't want to go, Hashem. And he said that he started to tell Hashem that he's in the middle of building three schools. And he said, he told Hashem, "I promise you if you save my life, I'll finish the job." And he said, when he finished praying, he saw a cruise ship coming towards him. They take him off, take him into the boat. He said, "He's throwing up water." He said, "Another few minutes he wouldn't have made it." There's not that many opportunities to build infrastructure in our community cuz most of it has been already done by some great people. But today is a historic day. It's like buying Apple stock when it's a penny stock. You could buy it at 50 cents a share. It's worth millions of dollars. And you know how we know it's going to be successful with Hashem's help? Of course, because the people involved in Hashem Shamay because there's a need in the town. Anybody who's involved in the town for the last 5 10 years, we were talking about it. But when we saw the dream team come together, when you have Rabbi Diamond, Rabbi Kassen, Rabbi Dana, Saul Towell, Sammy Saka, Jimmy Kesri, Mark Masserie, Harry Ame, Steven Asher, and these successful people. >> I want to be on the same team. It's great to be working together, Mr. Tower, on something together. This should be very successful for the town who was in need. We're together. We're unified. Hashem will continue to build and build and build. >> I say as we do before each important endeavor, Hashem, [Music] in the name of Hashem, we will do and we'll be successful. We should only continue to build our community, build our infrastructure, and be there for our future generations. Amen. Thank you so much for coming.
