EJSS of Brooklyn - A Message from Rabbi Eli Mansour

When we built the building, they said it's uh it's too big. We're 2 years in and now people are saying we might have uh not built it big enough. We've exceeded our expectations. There's a lot of things going on in the synagogue in in the in realm of learning [music] Torah, which is which is really the main facet of the synagogue. Anybody can open up a synagogue, get 10 people, and say "I'm done." You can call it a day. Right now, as we're talking, there's groups upstairs, young kids learning Torah with Rabbi Marmorstein. And then you have uh the girls' program with Rabbi Baham. He has 100 girls come Thursday nights before our Thursday night class. Thursday night class is broadcasted to many, many communities around the world. It's like a TV show. It's couples that come every Thursday night. It's Parashah. Besides the ladies' class at 10:00 in the afternoon, come to Shabbat and see what's going on on Shabbat. Learning, I'm talking. After the prayers are over, you have your matzah, whatever you did. Friday morning, Parashah class. And this is an old class we've been giving for many years. But in the shul in [music] that library on the first floor with all the tzaddikim on the wall, you get 40, 50 men regulars that come to that class to hear something deep on Parashat Hashavua. We just started another class with Isaac J. Kassin Wednesday night, 8:00, Emunah. It's It's going to be a superstar [music] class. He's a superstar and and they're going to love it. My father, may he live and be well, he gives classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays for retirees. I'm not retired, but I I I have a hard time walking by that room and not getting drawn in to whatever they're talking about, and they love it. We're buying the books. Just need to pay the teachers. What makes our people a people is we're people of the book. And you got to learn. You know, all I have to say is that Messiah is coming soon. The curtain of world history is is coming down. Here's your chance to finally [music] take some of your money and your ma'aser or whatever they be and and and and and deposit it in the bank of the bank of Sedaka, the bank of Torah. I vouch for this bank. I'm the mashgiach [music] of this this restaurant. I'm telling you that we're serving you up a lot of good dishes of Torah.
