Edmond J. Safra Torah Center - Short Version

The Edmond J Saful is the place to be for Torah learning on the upper east side without a question. >> It's the place for the [music] future. It's the place for now and it's it's a dynamic special place. >> In the synagogue what we have every morning minanim classes each one is jam-packed. You walk in you wouldn't think [music] you're in the city. And we turn this place into a mra. >> We have an unbelievable energy. Everybody connecting together. [music] The synagogue is built in the in the mode of what was and we're now in a place where [music] that synagogue is is bursting at the seams. So you have uh classes ranging from an in-depth Gimar class, halaka classes happening, Mousar classes happening in the morning for the men. The women had the opportunity to be able to study and to be able [music] to learn uh in the quiet part of the day. So then we came to the kids solely wound up arranging together with Jack Brah to come in [music] occasionally and be able to teach them how to read and to do the pismo and to do the songs. >> So inspiring what we were able to accomplish this past [music] year. It's a beautiful program. I'm excited for year number two. >> The 8day minan is basically a minan for guys who want to learn, want to want to pray and want to go to work all in a concise hour all in one. >> You want to really understand what's going on in the shul. The 8:00 piñatan is like the pulse. It's the hub. It's the place to be. And that room where they pray at 8:00 is where the where the learning and where the action is happening. You go there in the morning. I see all my friends, people I love. You know, we pray together. We learn together. And it's just a it's a beautiful, beautiful thing. >> So, this coming year is by far the biggest year for us. We have a new building that's opening and spreading across a community that was hard to spread across in Manhattan. I didn't think that when this community would start to learn that you'd have them [music] chasing us. There's almost like a demand expectation that they're in this sort of yeshiva co institute of higher learning where they they they're ready to eat up whatever it is that we're serving. >> People are thirsty. People want it and we're delivering it >> right here. Schedule like I said in the in year one, it's like a train [music] schedule. every every class for young, old, whatever you like. And if it's not on the schedule, ask us and they will do it for you. Good things don't doesn't come free. So we have massive budget, rabbis, staff, security, a toz and we have a new building also to support and we need everyone's support. It's really without everyone we can't be here. We need you to attend [music] and we need you to to help us help you achieve what's our mission. >> It's going to be even bigger and more people. The community is growing at a rapid pace on the Upper [music] East Side. So, it's it's going to be able to provide the future while while today it's it's it's doing amazing things already and uh really very we're all very fortunate to have it. >> There's no doubt our sh [music] has an incredibly bright future ahead and I can't wait to see how it unfolds under the leadership of the rabbi. Miss Zafra synagogue [music] is definitely a way to get people together in the city. So many opportunities here to get all types of people together [music] to learn. It's like a safety net and it's a stomping ground [music] to see my friends and connect with like-minded people and other Jews around the city. >> If you're seeing this message, it was meant for you. We need your help to be able to keep [music] doing this and giving on such a high level and pushing the envelope further and harder in the aim of spreading Torah in New York City. When you support Torah blesses you [music] that your house should be a beacon of the exact same thing that you're supporting for everybody else. Please, we ask you once a year to step up to the plate and to double down on your commitment to the most important thing [music] that the Jewish people have, and that is its commitment to Torah.
