[Music] I am in the west but my heart is in the East these IM mortal words penned by Rabbi yehudah Levi nearly a thousand years ago resonate now more than ever in the wake of the most devastating event in our lifetime the global Jewish Community Rose to the challenge kabad Rose to the challenge Nona fortun's Kitchen in ashdod sprang into action dishing out tens of thousands of meals across the South simultaneously Grandma reene's kitchen and L became a Lifeline for displaced families offering warm meals and comfort Rabbi Manor's Ked Mission and many others arrived to show unwavering solidarity and support the Good Fortune Supermarket in benab buzzed with activity ensuring families had access to essential supplies meanwhile the Yad Moshe Therapy Center in spat took a leadership role training professionals to address PTSD and provide much needed psychological support I went to Pantry Packers with my family and what I saw was everybody getting together and giving a helping hand to pack packages for people in need the food distribution is something fantastic from the people that cut the food the people that distribute the food everything is voluntary and it's going to 100,000 different homes it's all discreet nobody feels ashamed I can go on and speak to you about hours and hours of what they do it's just endless everything was with dignity with whatever it was they were helping the people just because they are a Jew As We Gather here tonight we recognize kabad our ambassador of in is because we love is because we love am is because we are all one [Applause] [Music]
