I promise you all
sh over the next 35
40 minutes
we're going to give you a program
and there are going to be speakers that
are going to blow you away.
I have stood here before
for Bonet Olam
the Sphartic Division
and I'm pleased and proud
to sit here while I'm standing again
tonight
on behalf of Bam.
Rabbi Bachnner,
I know that he
like other people in this tent
do not want
do not want praises.
Do not want to be spoken about.
But I must I must share with you that
when you see Rabbi Bachnner,
I want you to understand
that if you want to see what it's like
to be in the midst of a mala,
a human
that's an angel.
You have your chance tonight.
You will not get that chance often.
because he is very Anav, very discreet
and he's
most of his year
is beseted
in secret
because he does not want praises.
He came here to this earth,
not tonight,
but to this earth
for a job, for a mission,
for something
that you should never know and people
should not have to need.
But he is going to do everything
together with
Olam
to help a woman
to get
what is the most precious thing that she
could ever want
in her life.
I tell this
to young ladies.
You don't know what it's going to be
like. I actually tell them, you think
you were in love when you met Harry,
but that was only a part of it.
The real love is going to come when you
bear a child.
And I keep saying that to every young
lady.
But some of them are not as fortunate.
Some of them are not as lucky. Some of
them don't have that easy way that
without the help of an angel to come and
land in their lives
and give them her and a husband that
opportunity, that chance
to have what I just shared with you is
the greatest
thing a young lady can ever want and
have in her life
a baby. And all we want to do
is give our support, our community
support to Bon Lam
just for one thing. Rabbi Bachnner,
keep doing what you're doing.
Keep helping those people that land on
your doorstep.
Keep giving them a chance. Never stop.
never give up
until they get that dream
that will change her and her husband's
life.
Thank you, Joe Mansaw. I call you Joe
Mansaw Jr. All my life. You're looking
at I'll share a secret. It won't be a
secret in 30 seconds. Probably
the hardest working man in Shadon.
I'm not on the committee because you
know about me. I'm not putting my name
on any committees. But they will have my
opinion. They will get my vote that a
president in Shetion
in the years to come, hopefully sooner
than later, should be Joe.
You're incredible.
You're unbelievable.
Sandy, where are you? Sandy Salem,
let me get a wave.
Thank you, Sandy Salem, for putting
together this beautiful night, this
beautiful dinner,
Akimorei.
And let's get started.
I gave you my monologue
and I prepared you because Avi wanted us
to go and now we'll go faster. But he
wanted us to go slow
to go faster so that everybody that
wants to be here could be here and we
could sit down, buckle in and
emotionally attach yourselves to
everything I said about Rabbi Bakna,
everything I said about Bolam.
Yes, we are the Sephartic division.
That's what we stand for. Claudia
Avi,
you don't know what it's like for me
to come to your homes,
Brooklyn, here,
China, anywhere you tell me. Anyway you
tell me. I hope you tell me to go to
Sanrope and we're doing a fundraiser.
But you're both incredible. You're
unbelievable.
There's this I don't know. There's
there's this feeling that
they ask you, but they don't really need
to ask you because you're going to say
yes.
And I know that Rabbi Ozeri, who I love
and you love,
will attest to that.
You make it easy to give charity, to
give
to help the needy,
to help those that are less fortunate.
And I've experienced it and I've watched
how this young lady gives you the
strength and that ability.
Yes. Yes. Yes.
I want the two of you
to keep it up. I want you to keep doing
what you're doing. just stay on this
path. And I know because I sit somewhere
there near there.
It's not easy. It's difficult. And the
yet har comes in our way sometimes.
Don't open your house. Don't do that
fundraiser. Don't give them that money.
But you will not let him ever get in
your way.
You're there like I've never seen
anybody
for this community
and we love you and we love your wife
for that. Keep it up. Keep it up.
I'd now not I' now would before I call
up Rabbi Azeri who Ai's going to
introduce
I would now like to call up
a man that I consider a dear dear friend
somebody that I am so impressed by
and so feeling that warmth for who he is
and what he does and how he makes
everyone feel.
Ahulu
[Applause]
and then you
got it.
Oh, it's pretty hot. Sorry, no air
conditioning.
Thank you everyone for coming. Uh I'd
like to first of all uh start by
thanking a few people in particular
first of all of course my wife like uh
first of all thank you to Harry first of
all uh introduction and God bless you. I
don't know uh I was telling Harry and
Rebi both I don't know how they do it
they're everywhere somehow and involved
in every single thing. So uh really
thanks again for for coming and thank
you for everything. Uh special thank you
of course also first to my wife who
never says no to anything. It could be a
minute before Shabbat. I have 10 people
coming. Not a problem. Any event open
house never not even a challenge. Not
only is it okay like she bring it on.
She loves it. And uh it's never too
much. Never uh never too much. And uh
she loves doing it too. Whoever wants
sleepover of course anytime. soldier,
anyone, anyone. Open house all the time.
Special thank you also to um Sandy
Salem,
Marilyn Harrari, and of course Joey
Mansor for uh putting this together.
Sorry, it's very hot over here. We need
air conditioning.
Uh it's funny, actually, um
how things come around full circle. I
was speaking with Aikiro last week and
he told me I I sent him the event and he
called me. He told me that the first
event that they ever did for Bonam in
the Syrian community was actually in
this home 12 years ago which started and
uh Rabbi Bachner didn't he wasn't sure
when I told him he went outside the
front like you're right this was the
first house that we did it in. So 12
years later came back around yeah to the
same house. Um so this organization is
really uh very near and dear to my heart
and uh about a little bit over three
years ago a little bit over three years
ago my good friend Yiddi uh my COO and
good friend Yiddi Wzberger sitting over
there came over to me and told me Avi
there's this organization Bonet Olam
like no no Yiddi please leave me alone
Hatch I have enough I have my community
leave I I can't I can't he said he said
no no no AI you're going to want to get
involved in this one you're going to
love this one I said, "Okay, what?" He
said, "Yidi knew that my mother is very
close and dear to her to her in her
heart. She always used to read Taleim
every single day for Jewish couples to
have uh kids uh every single day without
fail. She read Taleim and that was uh
like very
that was probably her biggest thing that
she held near and dear to her heart and
uh she took it. So she loved kids,
worked uh in playgroups for years with
even my sister afterwards just to be
around Jewish kids and gave it such
nahhat and made us so happy seeing
Jewish people. So I couldn't say no to
it. And of course Yiddi pushed me pushed
me a few times and thank God thanks to
Yiddi I think we have we had three kids
that we sponsor Hashem and uh thank you
Yiddi and uh it's an amazing
organization which is really means a lot
to me. So a few actually the two days
ago Sunday I was in my car with with
Claudi. We had a drive, a long
three-hour drive with our friends, uh,
Mirin Allen, and we're going to a
wedding three hours away. And I don't
remember how it came up, but uh, we were
talking about the Holocaust that six,
it's crazy that six million Jews were
killed. And the whole population right
now of all the Jews in the world is 15
million people. And I was just doing a
little quick numbers in my head. I said,
you know, it's crazy. matter of six
million people. Even if they four
generations because about 80 years ago
the Holocaust, if four generations
later, even if every single person had
two had two kids, it would have been 186
million Jewish people additional today.
Additional 186 million people. If they
had four four kids each, it would have
been four generations later, two billion
people today.
13,000 people plus that Bono Lam has. If
I did a little bit of math over there,
too.
If they each had two kids 10 generations
later, it would be eight, sorry, 26
million people, almost double the
current additional people. That's almost
double the current uh whole population
of Jewish people worldwide. and 10
generations because it's like the you
know like the number would you rather a
penny first day for 30 days double each
day or a million dollars it's the same
exponentially grows so much it would be
guess what after 10 generations each had
four it would be 10 10 I'm sorry 18
billion people after 10 generations from
13,000 people so when you're sponsoring
and helping this organization even if
you have one kid it's not three kids.
It's for eternity. And you're talking
about the 13,000 people in within 10
generations of Zatashm that could be and
it's only starting the organization uh
growing so fast and uh that 13,000
people in 10 10 generations could
reflect
18 billion Jews. So whatever you help
this organization, you open your hearts
and your pockets, help this
organization, know it's not just for one
child that you're sponsoring. it's the
generations and to help counter the
Holocaust and for the Jews to survive
and thrive and 15 million Batashem
should become billions within a few
generations with all the all of the Oim
having a lot of kids Jews and Rab
Bachner helping as well and it's really
an amazing thing that you're doing for
generations to come not for just for
tonight without further ado I'd like to
call Rabbi Zeri our dear friend Rab Zeri
uh somehow makes to everything again. I
don't know how but uh thank you so much
for coming.
Thank you very much.
Thank you.
It says you're supposed to open up
speaking about the host AI.
Mr. Mrs. Avi Hulu, you never stop to
amaze me. It's just unbelievable.
Especially the last few years have you
have come to the plate for every
organization. Hashem should continue
giving you wealth, health, happiness.
Always a man.
Let's begin with a little story. I don't
know how many of you remember the old
days when your parents gave birth. No
man was allowed into the labor room.
There was a waiting room and you just
sat there and you waited for hours and
hours for the doctor to come out to tell
you what you had, a boy or a girl. Not
only that, there was no sonograms. No
one knew what they were having, a girl
or a boy. Was a mystery. It was a
suspense. Well, one day there was three
men sitting in the waiting room waiting
for their wives to give birth. And the
first doctor comes out and he tells this
man sitting there, "Congratulations, you
had twins." He says, 'Oh, what a
coincidence. I own the Twins baseball
team. Very nice. The next doctor comes
out and he says to the second fellow,
"Congratulations. You had triplets." He
says, "Oh, wow. I own the Three
Musketeers candy bar company." The third
person started running away. Said,
"Where are you going?" He says, "I own
Seven Up. I'm getting out of here."
Okay,
I will be very brief. As AI said, there
was 13,000 babies born. And I'm sitting
next to Rabbi Bachna here and I asked
the rabbi, "What's the real number?" The
exact number. He said, "13,790
babies." Okay, wonderful. How much has
this costed you over the years? He
thinks he thinks he's approximately $300
million.
I don't know. Divide that up. 300
million into 13,370.
Obby, maybe you could do the math.
about $23,000 a baby. If you think about
it, it's cheap. $23,000 a baby. Wow. I
could own one of these babies for
$23,000. It's absolutely amazing. I just
want to tell you one thing.
Rabbi Bachner is bringing the Mashiach.
And I'll tell you why. Wait, let me tell
you why. Then you could applaud. The
says
is not coming
until the chest in heaven is emptied.
There is a chest in heaven full of
unborn souls. Unborn.
Until every one of those are born,
Mashiach is not coming. Rabbi Bachner is
bringing the Mashiach closer every day,
day in and day out. Rabbi Bachnner, you
should beem
to greet the Mashiach and how proud he
will be of you because it's people like
you that is bringing the Mashiach closer
and closer. And ladies and gentlemen,
for each and every one of you who came
out on a night like tonight to support
Bonam, each and every one of you deserve
a baby,
a baby, a grandchild, a great
grandchild, whatever it is. May God
bless each and every one of you. And we
may we continue to help Rabbi Bachna
till the coming of the Mashiach. Amen.
[Applause]
Byebye.
After
what I said,
AI said, and Rabbi Zeri said, I am not
going to introduce the next speaker,
Rabbi Bachn.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Wow. Beautiful. Beautiful. There's a lot
of electricity in this room. And as I'm
as I'm looking around, I must say
that God chose these few people in this
room
to be the shim to bring us so many
babies in the safari community. Is all
yours.
It is so intense the work that goes in
for each and every couple and so immense
is the
shayim. So I just want to make a little
note before I begin to speak my few
words. It's very different than all the
years because wherever I travel I'm one
man alone. I can stand by the mic and
say whatever I want to say. This year
it's quite different. I have my wife
here. I have my boss over here and I
have to be very very careful what I say.
traveling home together for three hours.
But she deserves all the credit because
actually my wife,
you should have everything. Harry, you
should have everything. Hashem should
give you everything. And um actually my
wife deserves the credit because
actually she was the founder of of
Bonolum. I'm just being her helper, so
to speak.
But in any case, I really want to share
something, a personal episode
that I was one man alone involved with a
family which I think we can learn a lot
from that story. A very true story. I
have a friend, a classmate. His first
name is
we grew up together. We played together
and we became came to the age of
marrying. He married a girl from Israel.
He moved very successful person had a
beautiful family and we stayed in touch
here and there. One time I get a call
from him and he says you know I have a
family of children everybody is doing
fine. I have next to the last
my son next to the last of the family
got married very brilliant boy by now I
know him personally too and all of a
sudden children were not coming all my
kids have children and so we started
going to doctors and lo and behold it
was a very short journey we were told
that our son unfortunately cannot father
any children
I know that you do you're involved in
these in this area, how can you help me?
So I always ask for the documentation,
the paperwork. So I told him, you know,
actually I think we have a solution.
Your son needs this and this procedure
which in those days I used to bring down
from Cornell a team to by co all this
stuff that changed. Now we're doing it
actually with Israeli doctors and we're
doing very well.
I got him lined up in that procedure
which in one week in four days Sunday,
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, we treated
13 people and I pushed in his son to be
one of the group.
The night before the procedure, it's
quite um a tough go through. It's a it's
a very sensitive surgery. But also by
that surgery, you find out if you're
going to have children or if you're
never going to have children. It's a
make it or break it. So behem was
already 5 in the morning. Bi was 11 at
night and he calls me up and he says he
was crying and I he says I I I'm so
afraid all of a sudden I went into this
fear. What if God forbid happens if my
child is not going to be successful?
What am I going to do? He's married as a
young man. What's with the family? I
won't be able I won't be able to. So I
let him I let him vent and I told him
listen is real. I got you into the best
that's possible on the earth. This
doctor is top. I slept him down from
from America to he has a fantastic
record. Now we have to have some Hashem
is going to help out with except our
fillers.
He wasn't happy. So then he tells me you
know it's going to sound funny to you
because we're friends but may I ask you
for abraa?
So I started to laugh. come on by a man
of I'm not I'm not a spiritual holy man.
I'm just I try to do a few good things
in life. He says no no no give me give
me. So I told him is real. Listen to me
very carefully. It's not my braha that
works. It's the mitzvah itself which is
so great. I mean I haven't met another
human being that was to bring almost
14,000 children worldwide to clal. So
it's the mitzvah. It's not the person is
real. Listen to me. There's a sug
Yeshua tomorrow. Sponsor another couple
in that group. And that's is going to
work for you because I've seen this work
many many times. Hashem does not like
when people worry only for themselves.
We're all one. We all belong to the same
Hashem. We all we're all one. Bottom
line. I would our DNA is the same.
Be smart. sponsor another couple and
it's going to be his for your son. No
sale. It didn't work. Okay. Just a
suggestion.
By Tuesday afternoon, I get my call. We
put through 13 surgeries. So, there were
winners and there were losers,
unfortunately.
And his son was one of the losers,
unfortunately.
He took it very, very, very hard. And I
understand. And I took a heart too
because he's a close friend of mine. And
I what should I do? This is what
happened. This is what happened. So he
begged me if I can find out from the
doctor if his son does stand another one
chance to do it. So I did my inquiry. I
did call up the surgeon himself. I'm
quite close to him. He looked up the
documentation. He said maybe, but we got
we need at least two to three years for
a healing process. So I called back. He
says, "No, no, I can't wait two three
years. stuck in it. Whatever. Two years
passed. I said, "You know what? Let's do
an ultrasound. Let's do a scan." Well,
it was healed enough. The doctor's ready
to do another try. I got him in again in
the list. The night before calls me
again. He says, "Listen to me. I've
learned my lesson. My son is number
seven. I want to sponsor number six. I
want the the one right before my son. I
should have this that that should work
for my son.
I just met his son three four weeks ago.
Bashem he has five children today. From
that one procedure from that one
procedure
he's doing very well today. He's a we
call it in Hebrew a toeni. He's a lawyer
in Bezdon. A brilliant brilliant
brilliant boy. We learn from that.
Everything in this world is calculated.
There is somebody that controls
everything about everybody and this is
and you should know if you learn through
all this beginning
whatever you're going to learn it all
always comes down to one point when
stretches himself for another Jew this
is what talks in shmayim the bottom line
nobody asks you how much gamarra you
learned how well you know the gamarra
but standing up for another person is
really what counts in shmayim
So let me end up with one line and take
that home with you. Man never knows to
whom he says yes and never knows to whom
he says no. This can hit so close to
home. We would have thought differently
when we are going to respond. Nobody
knows where the yes goes and where the
no goes. I can't thank you enough. You
guys are enabling me to answer the calls
of your community. And unfortunately,
your community shares all the issues,
all the problem that all the other
communities
share.
It's not an easy job. I work 18, 20
hours a day. And this is for Cli. All
I'm asking is please enable me to do my
job that I do for Israel.
All we should all be
you all be able to rejoice with amen.
[Applause]
Wow.
Joe Manso Jr.
would like us to see a video
and then we're going to call up
Michelle Hadt, a dear friend, Jack's
wife, Michelle.
But let's watch the video. Rabbi
and Rabbi Zeri,
you touched our hearts and touched us.
[Music]
I got married at 18 years old like a new
bride, excited to start my family.
I fortunately got pregnant easily, had a
beautiful son, always looking forward to
having many more children. when I
started to try to have my second child
and after uh many months it did I was
not able to conceive. I realized that
something was wrong. I went to the
doctor and we took um all kinds of tests
and he recommended surgery to clear out
the one blocked tube. I had one one tube
that was healthy and one that was
blocked. I had that surgery and tried to
get pregnant again. And unfortunately, I
was not able to get pregnant. At the
time, all I could think about is okay, I
I can't I have one child and I I always
dreamed of having a big family. What am
I going to do? I shared the story with
my cousin that I was lost
and I didn't know where to turn. I
didn't know who to talk to.
She introduced me to IVF. something that
was very foreign to me, something that I
never thought about, something actually
that I had seen when I was much younger,
at 14 years old. I remember seeing a on
the cover of Time magazine uh a a baby
in a test tube. That was the first IVF
that was introduced, I guess, to the
world. I had to take um shots every day.
I remember feeling very um uncomfortable
and emotional. There was nobody to talk
to that could tell me you're going to be
okay. This is what to expect. There is
hope. There is future. There is no
organizations like Bonolam that you
could call, pick up a phone and say,
"This is what I'm going through. Where
do I go? Where do I who do I talk to? I
was on my own. I was alone. Maybe I
wouldn't have a family that I always
dreamed of." I began the IVF and
fortunately, I got pregnant the first
time.
But not everything goes as smoothly as
planned. I actually had an ectopic
pregnancy.
So we went to the hospital and they had
to take out my other tube. So now I had
no tubes and less hope of getting
pregnant. 3 months later I was able to
start again. I got pregnant with my
beautiful daughter.
later on my son Charles,
Kevin, Steven, Michael, Nathan,
and now I'm blessed with my beautiful
children. I remember which was so
emotional
waiting for that phone call
whether I was going to be pregnant or
not. I remember for so much for a long
time the phone the sound of a telephone
ring was like haunting to me because
every time that telephone would ring I
wasn't sure if they were going to tell
me it worked or it didn't work.
Throughout this journey my husband Jack
was my partner and I could never do it
without him.
Thank you Jack. When I found out how
much IVF
cost,
I was wondering how somebody who
couldn't afford it would pay for it. And
does that mean they decide that they
can't have a family, that they they
can't follow through with IVF?
I was so grateful for Hashem's hand in
all of this. And I know God gives you a
journey to go through and I feel like my
journey was to help and to encourage
other people. We question why are we
going through this? First and foremost,
I believe that Hashem is always with us
and to never give up on Hashem cuz he's
never gives up on us. Technology and
science is so advanced. Just know that
to keep on trying and have amuna that
Hashem wants you to have a family and if
it's not this year, it'll be next year.
Never give up. I can't even imagine how
my journey would have been different if
when I found out that I did have
infertility, if I had somebody to go to,
an organization to pick up a phone and
say, "This is what I'm going through.
Um, where do I go? who do I talk to? And
now Bonolam is available and it's here
for all of us for the community and
they've worked tirelessly to help us to
help the community to help women in need
with questions. Bonolam also supports
financial assistance which is tremendous
part of the the journey which puts a lot
of strain on the family on the couple.
There isn't a price tag that you can put
on having a child. So, if you can donate
money to this organization to help
somebody have a family, you're building
one baby at a time. You're bu building
our future, our community. I started out
with seven children and now, God bless,
I have many, many grandchildren. And
that's what you can help a family do.
[Applause]
[Music]
Wow,
Michelle,
that takes a lot of guts.
That's unbelievable to see you
speak like that. like to call you and
Jack up. I know I spoke to you earlier
and you said I don't want to talk on
this mic. Everything I wanted to say and
I have to say about a girl, a young lady
having a chance to have a baby is
connected to this organization. Bernam,
open your hearts. Be a part of what they
do to give a chance. I think that's
unbelievable. Where's Michelle?
Come on up with Jack.
with Jack, please.
[Applause]
Jack, come up. come up with your wife,
your partner.
He could speak. I spoke too much
already.
You spoke unbelievable.
You told your story. You gave You don't
know what you did. You gave courage to
young ladies that are having difficulty
that opportunity. And what you said, you
told her to hundreds and hundreds of
young ladies, don't give up. Keep going.
Keep trying. Never give up until you
succeed. That was the message of
Michelle Hadid. That's what she gave us.
She gave us that opportunity for every
couple to continue to have hope
and then their lives can open up and
they can be blessed to have a child. So,
I wanted you to come up because I wanted
to thank the two of you on behalf of our
community for bonam,
but more importantly for everything that
the two of you do. I know Jack is like
some other people here. So, I have to be
careful that he doesn't like that. Avi
doesn't like that. I don't like that.
But you're a dynamic duo and the
community looks up to both of you and we
support everything you're doing,
everything that your missions that you
are part of, which is what I love.
Everything we do, everything the fabric
of this community, the Haded family is
part of. That's who they are.
That's what they represent.
And we thank you. Okay,
I'm not going to read it. I'm going to
give it to Jack and Michelle for an
everlasting partnership to Bonet Olam.
So, this is for you.
That's for you if you would like to say
a couple of words and then please have
the honor. I know. I know.
I go home also and I look at Alice and I
wonder why she gives me this ability,
power, the right to go every morning,
every night. But it's the same as what
you do, the same as what he does, the
same as who he is.
We love the community and we want to
give back everybody. Jack hated.
[Applause]
Thank you, Harry. Thank you, Avi. Claud,
see, I got it right. Claudia,
actually, I don't know why I'm up here
because Michelle did everything and she
persevered and she never gave up and she
went through the shots and Michelle went
through the emotional ups and downs and
and
I give you all the credit and you
deserve it and thank God for the kids
and the grandkids. But you know we we
were good without
anyway. Now you have to take
it. No. Thank you.
Who gets it? Harry.
Yeah, Jack.
Yes, sir.
Thank you.
Give me a hug.
Thank you, the Haded family. Yeah, you
Jack. But thank you, the Haded family.
I am gonna say something.
I knew it. I knew it.
Sometimes life throws us, you know,
obstacles and puts obstacles in our way.
And in the video, I really said that um
yeah, always have to believe that Hashem
will set the path for you and put it in
front of you if you continue to believe,
but also we also need help. So in in
this case with Bonet Olam, I'm not
trying to plug, but I am plugging
because this is a a very important
organization and if you are going to
donate money, this is the place to do it
because
people need your help. They need your
help.
Thank you, Michelle.
another one of those people that does
not need me to introduce you to a man
that is single-handedly helping to
change our community,
helping to guide the youth and the
adults and everybody that is a part of
what he is doing. I told him the other
day, I'll say it publicly again. I don't
believe there's only one of him because
he's giving
24 hours, seven days a week to build our
community, to build the Torah, to let
everybody have the light and see what
it's like to be a religious Jew, a
person that is embracing
our customs, our religion, our Torah.
And there's so much more to say. The
night is getting on. Avi Rabbi Mayaded,
I have such an honor. I can't believe
I'm being given this honor to tell you.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, Rabbi.
Thank you. Thank you, Harry.
It's unbelievable. Every day, every
morning, every night, constantly helping
our community in so many ways. Hashem
should bless you, Harry, to continue.
You and Alice,
keep going. double down.
Thank you.
Thank you, Abby, for having this event.
You and your wife and your family.
The night is already late. I'm going to
tell you something very quickly.
When we help
bash Rabbi Josei Bakna,
when we help
anyone,
any charity,
it is very meaningful
to know exactly why and who we are
helping.
The reason for that is because when you
know who you're helping
and you know the effect of what you're
doing, you will do it from the heart and
you won't stop.
When we think about what we're doing
here tonight, who are we helping? I
think the first thought, the initial
thought, the overwhelming thought is
we're helping these souls that
came and will come into the world
that will have an opportunity to
accomplish,
an opportunity to work, an opportunity
to live,
an opportunity to enjoy the world. Just
like all of us
is there any we're not giving food
tonight.
We're not giving blood.
We're not giving money.
We're not even giving kidneys.
We're giving life.
How precious
it is to give someone life.
But it's so much deeper than that.
It's not only about
these beautiful babies that are going to
come into the world and one day be in a
tent like this giving their own money to
others.
But think about the parents.
In my experiences with people,
I don't believe there is a more painful
experience for a person on this planet
than being married and not have a child.
And I've been around a lot of painful
experiences in so many ways. There are
people who have a hard time getting
married. There are people who struggling
financially. There are people who have
health issues. There are all kinds of
issues in life. as everybody here knows.
But I do not think there is something
more painful
than a couple that is struggling to
bring a child into this world.
It is with them every single day. Every
month there's hope and every month
there's a disappointment.
Wherever they go, you know, newlyweds,
what do they talk about?
They talk about their children. They
talk about going to the park. They talk
about buying them clothing. They talk
about shopping. They talk about baby
bottles.
Newlyweds when they talk, they talk
about their babies.
When people are married, what do they
talk about? What do you talk about with
your husband?
There's not a lot to talk about. You
already know everything. That's why men
don't like to talk.
But if there's one subject everyone
needs to talk about is their children.
Oh, she did this, she started walking,
she started smiling, he started doing
this. Is it's endless. The conversation
of a marriage
has so much to do with children.
A couple that's married
can't converse with their friends. They
can't go to the park.
They're not even able to talk to each
other in a normal way.
And what about all the times in life
when people are excited
like Hanukkah's coming? We're having a
Kaneka party
by mommy. Oh, great. Another painful
experience.
You know what it's like for a couple to
go to a party with all the children
and they go themselves
is very painful. It's a very happy day,
but not for a couple that's not having a
child. It's a very difficult day when
you see all the children with their
flags and excitement.
And how about the sed
everyone gets a turn
to say?
Everyone's asking manishana.
Who asked the manishana?
For a couple who doesn't have a child,
almost every occasion becomes a moment
of pain.
A wedding,
a breit mah. When we get a brea
invitation, we're happy for people and
they also want to be happy, but it's so
hard.
And on and on and on. We're not just
helping little children come into the
world. We're helping a husband and wife
that's living in pain that's
unimaginable.
They don't have a place to escape. They
can't go to the park. They can't go to
anywhere that can avoid seeing things
that bring them pain.
Now, we understand perhaps what Rael
Menu said when she told her husband
bring me children
and if not
I might as well be dead
from a great woman like Rael Menu those
are some very strong words
but that's the pain of a couple that's
having a hard time bringing a child and
what about their parents
when the parents see their children
suffering They suffer more than them.
They always have to be careful around
them.
They have to worry about them.
Brothers and sisters and siblings are
constantly not sure. Should they talk
about their children? Should they not
talk about that? Should they bring their
children? What should happen? It's so
uncomfortable for everybody.
Dozens of people are affected by one
couple.
I think I'm stating the obvious. I'm not
saying any major
to have
bonam there for people that are
struggling. They may not solve every
single couple's problem.
But just being part of the process
already gives someone to speak with and
someone to share with and someone to
carry the burden with. And for that
alone, if there was not one baby, I know
they showed me here how many babies were
born in the last year. Even if not one
baby was born, it's worth it to have
someone to speak to about your issue
because it's a very dark world for such
a person.
And there is success beyond that. Babies
are born. Babies are coming into this
world and we are a part of that life.
This is our opportunity
to really act like the creator. There
are so many ways we can be like the
creator. We can be kind like him. We can
be compassionate like him. We can be
patient like him. We can be wise like
him. But how often does a person have
the chance to be a creator like him?
Tonight we have a chance to be a
creator, to be a partner in the creation
of a wonderful, beautiful, gorgeous
young child.
And we thank Bonam for their
beautiful work and all the people, the
Hadids
and everybody else who's fully involved.
I know a lot of ladies are involved. Joe
Mansour and company and whoever. I know
I'm missing people.
But to all of you who are involved,
Hashem should bless you. I have a lot of
respect for you like many like me to
work for people who need help in the way
that these people need help. And by the
way, this crosses all lines. There's no
wealth in this area. There's no good
looks in this area. There's no
popularity in this area. It doesn't make
a difference who you are, how religious
you are, how non-religious you are. It
makes no difference. This could happen
to anyone to everyone and they need the
help. And for that bonam is here and
ready. And
it's an organization that we would like
not to exist. We wish you don't exist
anymore one day and people all have
children. But the way the world is set
up right now, Hashem wants it to exist
because he wants us to be partners in
creating people. And we will be and that
merit will bring us tremendous blessings
in our lives. And will bring us many
children and many grandchildren and
great-grandchildren. May the merit of
creating others be a merit for your
families to continue to grow and to
blossom in all the beautiful ways. Amen.
Amen. Thank you again, Avi, for opening
your home. God bless you.
