And my weekday jacket I sent to the cleaners. So, I had to wear the Shabbos So, I had a suit. It was mom and It's like a kiss for a little little kiss from a sham even the ace aura. But I'm telling you, it's not an aura. For me, I take it as literally one of the best days of my life. Be honest. I'm not just saying it to I really feel it. When I could you spoke it gives you a zetz, a real zetz. But it's not It's not It's not health related. And it's not your children. And it's not It's mom and she brought her. Cuz you have to get a zetz. Everybody gets zetzes. And I mean interesting because it's so simple, but when you if you were to read it and you don't have a gemara, it it could it looks confusing, but the whole shiur is basically 1 minute. And then it just repeats itself 16 times. I might be exaggerating a little bit, but you'll see what I'm talking about. It's This is the daf that tells you for the rest of shas if you learn something, if you learn B from A, now you have B. You learned it from A. Now, what do you do? Could you continue teaching stuff with it? There's a difference. Here, let's do this for a second. There's four types of limudim in the Torah. There's hekesh. What's a hekesh? A hekesh is when you have two psukim next to each other. One pasuk says a halacha. I'm going to lose everybody already. The dah lem's going to What's going on? The screen. The screen Oh, that's my That's my thing. Okay. Why is this screen halfway cut on mine also? Mhm. Okay, whatever. Don't worry about it. As long as you see the screen of Shava, it's good. Shava is stronger than a Hekesh anyway. It doesn't matter. Yesterday you said Hekesh is stronger, but the question is Let's see in a second. You're right. Both the Hekesh and the Shava are almost like It's like as if it said in the Pasuk. Then we have a Kal V'Chomer. What's Shava? Let's go back. Shava is if you have the same exact word in two different They could be in different parts of the Torah completely. Same exact words. You can't make it up. This comes from directly to Rabbeinu. Then you have a Kal V'Chomer that you can make up. That's logic. This is Kal. This is Chomer. And then you have Binyan Av. Binyan Av. Binyan Av means Mem U'Matzil. I find a over here. Let's Let's use the somewhere else. Why not? Looks right. No reason why not to. Now, just to give you an example, we had this yesterday, so let's start with that example. The Torah says a certain by one particular thing, by Par Kohain Gadol. Okay, no trauma side. No Don't go out on me now. If you know this, if you could listen for 60 seconds, you know today's Daf. The Torah says the one time by Par Kohain Gadol. But I learn it to another Par. A different Par. Par Helem Davar. How do I learn it? With the Hekesh. They're next to each other. So, if I have it by A, I'm going to do it by B. I have it by the red, I'm going to do the same by the green. Now, once I have it by the green, by the Hekesh, by the Par Helem Davar, can I go on and teach something else from it? Could I pretend that the green, the middle one, the Par Helem Davar is its own source? And now I'm going to teach other things in the Torah. Do this. Now I'm going to learn the Soyar of from the Par Helem Davar. Par Helem Davar by itself is not a source. It's learned from something else. You have to go all the way to the the one on the right, the Par Kohain Gadol. Can I learn a Hekesh from a Hekesh? That we said yesterday. Does anybody remember what we learned yesterday? You cannot learn a Hekesh from a Hekesh. It doesn't work. Only by Very good. What's your name? What? Sruly? He comes everywhere. He's here Yesterday you also remember Sruly. Well, you just find out where I'm going and you follow me. Sruly, stand up for a second. Just for a second. Say to the world. So, Sruly said a very true thing that this idea that you can't learn a Hekesh from a Hekesh is only in Only in Zvachim, in Kodshim. But the rest of the Torah and it's important that he's saying it because we're going to actually talk about it. The rest of the Torah you could learn a Hekesh from a Hekesh. Great. And we want to know could a When you look at Hekesh, on Hekesh we're going to have four This four possibilities with a Hekesh. What are the four possibilities? Learning a Hekesh from a Hekesh. Learning a Shava from a Hekesh. Learning a Kal V'Chomer from a Hekesh. And learning a Binyan Av from a Hekesh. And then we go to Shava. Can you learn a Shava from a Shava? Can you learn a Kal V'Chomer from a Shava? Can you learn a And you get it. It's another four. And then we go down the line and it's going to look something like this. That's the whole shear today and tomorrow. Good luck. You see that's the That's the whole thing. We're going to start with Hekesh. And can a Hekesh Can you learn a Hekesh from a Hekesh? What's the answer? No. Can you learn a Shava from a Hekesh? No. Can you learn a Kal V'Chomer from a Hekesh? How about a Binyan Av? We don't know. No. How about Shava from a Shava? Go down to the next line. From Shava. Can you learn a Hekesh? One person says yes, the other one says I don't know. Can you learn a Shava from a Shava? Kal V'Chomer from a Shava? That's the title of today's Gemara. And here it is. It's actually in print. Hekesh Shava Kal V'Chomer Binyan Av. Siman. Davar Halomed B'Hekesh Ein Chozer U'Melamed B'Hekesh. We said yesterday you cannot learn a Hekesh from a Hekesh. Eima D'Rava, Eima D'Ravina. The whole Sugya we're going to be quoting either Rava or Ravina. Either Abaye or Ravina. The Gemara is going to It's just the name of the The that you don't learn a Hekesh from a Hekesh is called Rava and Ravina. Just to remind what's Rava and Ravina. Where's Rava? Here's Rava. This is The one I just showed you is Rava. Right? Rava. Rava says you cannot learn a Hekesh from a Hekesh. Why? I It looks It looks like you could learn a Hekesh from a Hekesh. So, if you remember yesterday, whoever saw shear yesterday, there's a special Pasuk K'She Yuram tells me that I can learn this Limud without the special words in the Pasuk K'She Yuram, I wouldn't be able to learn a Hekesh from a Hekesh. So, you see that you cannot learn a Hekesh from a Hekesh. It's only because K'She Yuram makes the center one Par Helem Davar K'Ilu, as if it's a source. That's why I could continue from the green one and learn out because it's a source. It's as if it says in the first in the Torah. What's Ravina? Same thing. By the way, I'm going to start picking up paces. You You know, once we get into it, it's just repetitive almost. Ravina says the same thing. It's just a different type of chart. Yoshi the side and even though this is prettier than the previous one, it's not as clear. So, we went with the clear. Is a Hekesh from a Hekesh? Here we go. The The whole Sugya about how do you learn the Asham should be in the Tzafon. Remember? The Asham has to be in the north. How do I know it? From who teaches the who teaches the Asham. So, the Hekesh from a Hekesh. And that does not work. Okay, great. So, you put them together. You have both Ravina and Rava both say a Hekesh to a Hekesh doesn't work. Next. Oh. Can a hekesh once you have a hekesh, could you learn a gezeirah shavah from it? What's the answer? Gezeirah shavah from a hekesh? No. Oh, so there are a few halachas we're going to learn today that we never knew about this idea that when you have tzaraas on your beged, you have a nega, you have a a blemish all of a sudden your clothes, you're wearing a coat all of a sudden there's a red something that's that's a problem. But what if your entire beged turns the same color? tahor You better not be listening to, you know >> [snorts] >> Dover Halacha B'Halacha he sent one of his undercover guys to upset me in the middle of a shiur.
