would be very interesting like
as the cameras were going on we're going

watch here in Lakewood.
You know what it do to the ratings of
the tornado right by the neighborhood?
It would be unbelievable. I mean not
this house house of Shalom.
Yeah, wow.
Tornado watch in Lakewood.
Um my boys I reminder to say sphere
timer
if this is the right day but many of us
didn't have an mariv yet and that
reminds me we have at least Tyler with
us the centers guy. Did I pronounce his
name correctly?
Centers guy he's 245
daf
into shas
and with us this is less than a year
that we met the first time in Park City
and we also have Reb Are you Blumenthal
all the way from Cedarhurst? He he does
a location there base of sham will be
every day. Right now it's every motzei

And he had a location in Orlando so you
should go out you should go out you've
been and he and he wears the MDY cap
wherever he goes. And you know let's

You go that way. Okay.
>> [sighs]
>> What do we have here today? First of all
we have an amazing daf for boys I really
very interesting daf if you look at the
art scroll
on on base you'll see a lot of pictures
and a lot of we have even
really cool stuff you know it's
the
sphere timer is dedicated to the force
of more than we used to apply this to my
humble listener. Before Schliemann
This was yesterday's years. I'm not
going to I'm not going to give any
advice. I'm not going to give any
advice.
Very very easy daf. Probably a little
shorter than usual daf.
In terms of time.
What time is it now? This is
Ariel Bakish. Yeah, you're going to be
out of here before 10:00 for sure.
10:02 but maybe.
Oh, I got to go quickly over here. I
only have 30 seconds. I said it's going
to be out of here by then. Okay.
Zog degumara.
Yeah.
That's the story of my life.
>> [laughter]
>> It looks like it's short. 30 minutes.
Um
They're They're strong letter but worth
reading. You should know you'll be
holding held accountable after 120.
How's the positive there still by the
bathroom? We don't know about your
shiyurim.
Uh they could have developed face
learning and face
Okay. The families could have gained
amazed.
Chaim Greenwald.
Gishmak. No, I
I put it out there. It was like really
Wow, this is not a hate mail. I thought
it would be You should know you'll be
held accountable after 120. Like, oh no,
not another one.
Mendy Abramson.
A good one. I heard you quickly mention
about touching uncovered parts of the
body.
What's the reason to wash one's hands?
Ruach versus cleanliness. See my safer,
the guide to travel and vacation which I
recently sent you
on page 151, I have a lengthy discussion
of this. Spent dozens of hours
researching this topic. It's interesting
stuff. I also have a
a tshuval on if one needs to wash one's
hands after touching the arm and head
when putting on That's what I discussed.
Some are make out with you place of
placing place of mitzvah. It's no need
to wash the one's hair the same way when
you touch the area by bris milah, the
male could still say a bracha. Another
reason it's considered revealed place
and it's revealed when putting on
tefillin and it's a big chiddush. Okay,
cool stuff. All the best, Mendy
Abramson.
Shmuel Scheiber, I would like to thank
you. I'm married with three children and
over the years I've tried several times
to learn Daf Yomi.
A few weeks ago, I met a friend who told
me about the incredible impact of the
shiurim and baruch Hashem, I joined in
the middle of the sefer.
And we're already approaching the end. I
feel the need to share something that
was a bit difficult for me yesterday
this year. You spoke about a tragedy in
which two people were killed and about
the need to be careful and stay safe.
By the way, I don't want to put a damper
here, but
the
Ah, I'm a
I the they're still searching for this
guy that that that drowned in the in the
canal. His brother
they found him and he was but he
unfortunately he didn't make it.
So now,
think about the tragedy. Two brothers,
one is unaccounted for and the other one
was lifted today. So I don't know if
he's talking about that one or
it's a tragedy, but he's saying
You spoke about a tragedy in which two
people were killed and about oh, the
the need to be careful and stay safe.
I'm a reservist with over 600 days of
service. The number of friends I've lost
is overwhelming, over 20.
Lost 20 20 friends in the army.
Sadly,
on a weekly basis Klal Yisrael continues
to lose
precious people so that we can live here
and learn Torah. I would appreciate if
you'd consider dedicating this shiur as
well for the recovery of the wounded
soldiers and in memory of those who were
killed al Kiddush Hashem. Thank you. You
wrote this in Hebrew. So, in Hebrew
shiur I addressed this
to explain to him he's new to the shiur
so he doesn't know or maybe for those
who forgot and are new to this year,
I'll just say it one more time.
Uh to give for me to give the English
shiur is is very difficult on a daily
basis. I put a lot of hours into it.
It's difficult and there's no no days
off. You know how it is. Pesach,
traveling.
Um I'm still jet lagged from my trip
from America to Israel last time. That
was like 3 months ago. So,
it is difficult. You know, you got there
in Pesach to do this, vacation, the
whole thing.
I took about myself to do a sheer in
Hebrew, which I'm very, very happy I
did. That was the zechus of the chayalim
and the injured and all those. Those who
were there know, I speak about once in a
while. I I remind the oilam. But, here's
a person that um, he was feeling bad
that I didn't say that the the sheer was
dedicated. So, I want the whole Hebrew
sheer,
which numbers now probably in the 15,000
people that watch the sheer a day.
It has tremendous hatzlacha. It's
actually growing on a quicker
rate than the English sheer. It's very
popular in Eretz Yisrael, baruch Hashem.
It's popular with yeshivas over there.
Whereas, in in America, it's It is
popular, but they don't just don't tell
you about it. But, in Eretz Yisrael,
they come over to me. Yeshivas, rosh
kollel, I watch the sheer every day.
Like, they have no bushah. I don't know
what it is. Okay. It's interesting, no?
You think the opposite in Eretz Yisrael.
You have those also. So,
that's what I have to say for that.
Maybe once in a while we'll say in
memory or refuas, but the amount of
soldiers that are injured even now in
Lebanon, you hear about the deaths, but
you don't hear about the injuries. Or
you do hear, you don't realize
an injury means um, you were telling me,
Shmuel, that you went to visit these
guys. They come to Chicago, some of
them.
No arms, no legs.
Prosthetic expert.
And you went And you went to visit them.
A lot of amputees. These are These are
injuries that are life-changing
injuries.
So, of course, we we daven for them and
uh,
and uh, we we hope that uh, we're able
to
to see the enemy go bye-bye and
everybody could come home safely and we
don't have to worry about this. It's
unbelievable.
Things are happening. Times of Mashiach.
All right, fine. There's a lot of stuff
here. I'll have to
Here Dr. May Wickler just strongly said
it real quick. He says he gives that
credit to all the work that went into
before Pesach, the whole staff.
Um
And this is from Jamie Azoulay. I like
this. So, I put it in here cuz I don't
want to forget this that on our videos,
there should be like a a caption on top.
Maybe it even goes away eventually.
Which stays there so people later on
that watch the video know what the video
is about. It's not just a funny video
but it's on this and this topic.
Okay, I think that's what he was saying.
Shkoyach, Jamie.
And this may be if you remind me, we'll
share a short video of a mail share.
This is um the satellite location in
Bnei Brak, very matzliach, daily basis.
Um our
all over He rented a a nice office in a
nice office building in Bnei Brak. He
has all this stuff. Look at the wall.
Loven that room in Kodesh. You don't
talk during Kodesh. It's all
The map of all the locations, 28
locations says there. Now I think we're
up to 34.
He funds it. He has a wedding hall. We
did a huge love of Malkin in his wedding
hall. I think it was 700 people just
from the
You could come if you're part of a
satellite location. It's unbelievable.
Every table was in a different satellite
location. The whole massive Actually,
it's two halls. He gives He does two
chasanas
every night. So, on a Motzei Shabbos he
doesn't do weddings. We got the whole
thing. It was unbelievable. But this is
him, what you call And during share, I
spoke about how he advertised He put
100,000 shekels once into advertising.
Here's one advertisement in Bnei Brak
in front of his hall. And me it's like
much larger than life. It's It was huge.
So,
Dave threw it in middle share. So, I'm
showing you as well. All right, Rabbi
said, "Let's go."
We'll have to do this later on.
We have

Interesting. MDY Reb Moishe for

Reb Chaim ben Esther for Yona ben
Eliyahu Zev ben Eliyahu we have a lot of
time to remember the mission of the
first time we have
We have brand new Mishnah. I'm I'm
serious. It's all easy today and it's
super interesting.
Says the Mishnah all the way in the
bottom of the page,
brand new Mishnah.
So
we discussed Smicha means to lean on the
animal
and Tenufa means to wave the animal.
Lift them up and wave. This This two
different things.
There's certain chumeras that you have
in a Smicha and certain chumeras you
have in a Tenufa. We have Tenufa and
Smicha.
Now what? Three lines from the bottom.
When it comes to Tenufa, it's enough
that one person does it for the whole
crew, for all the partners. Whereas
Smicha we said yesterday a each and
every person says Korbanos, we learned
each and every person must do the
Smicha.
And chumer with Tenufa and what's the
chumer that Tenufa has that Smicha does
not? That Tenufa is the
You have to do it in all types of
Korbanos. Korban Yachid for instance the
Shlamim. So here's a a picture that we
showed yesterday.
The Shlamim Tenufa.
Chazon Ish Shaul
We also have the Tzibur Tenufa. This is
Tzibur Tenufa. What is this?
This is the Shteil Lachum with the the
the Shalmei
the what do they call Shalmei Tzibur.
The two the two sheep that we bring on
Shavuos coming up. Shlishi Mayim Chulin
L'Chag. Bamidbar.
What what?
Oh.
That's the uh yeah, we'll get to it.
Coming up. Coming up soon.
That Tenufa oh.
We come out of Tzibur. B'Chayim you do
Tenufa when the when the animal is alive
or b'shchuteim.
And you do Tenufa when the animal is
dead. I just showed you. This one is
pretty dead, I think. Not sure. This guy
is dead.
Where do we do tenufah with something
that's
not alive, that that was never alive?
Here, in this in this picture,
the bread.
The lack of matzah, you have to do
tenufah.
A shake came with smicha. Smicha, you
don't do smicha when the animal's dead.
Which is why it's going to have a kasha
on that in fact we see that there are
times that you do smicha on animals that
tell her about.
Korbani by shlamim says the word korbani
comes to include all the owners must do
smicha.
Tenufah, you have to do even after the
animal's dead sometimes. This not the
korbani.
There's no tenufah
when you have partners. Smicha shle shra
shvutem. And we didn't smicha
smicha that you don't do smicha on a
dead animal. So certainly
you shouldn't do it when there's
partners. Korbani
lerabbis kol ba'alei korbani smicha that
all the partners must do smicha. Ten
partners, each one comes over, leans on
it, and goes away. The next one, next So
it's maror with shra tenufah korbani
korbani.
You should do tenufah when you have a
bunch of partners. They should all take
it. Like sometimes you do in shul. Take
a lulav and then you say, "Could I
borrow you a lulav?" And the next guy
does that. Each guy should should shake
it. That's tenufah. The shake we learn
the shaking of a lulav from tenufah. So
just like by a lulav you Everybody
should do tenufah.
Who asked me for what's the kasha simple
kasha? Who asked me for shle shra
shvutem shra korbani?
Smicha, you don't do it it when the
animal is dead, but you do do it when
it's partners. So certainly you do it
when it's
certainly should do it when it's
partners. You
an addition to the bar.
So the
mission
is impossible.
How are you going to do it? You have 20
partners.
But they are dirty.
Go have a pizza.
They can't all touch the animal. There's
going to be a big problem.
Check this out. We have a picture of
that.
They're all going to
do it
somebody's hands have to be on the other
person's head. And each person must be
touching the animal. Otherwise, it's a
pizza.
So.
Rashi.
Asks a great question.
The question is easier to understand in
the answer. Rashi says three lines from
the top.
I mean everybody remembers
minute.
By the other pizza.
We had a few times that the owner is.
Uh.
The the coins hand is under
the the Israel's hand. And sometimes we
we even said our mind I look at Sita.
By a woman. And then he says to the guy,
how could a man touch a woman? This is
the old man. Bring old coin or bring a
little kid coin.
The bottom line is sometimes the coins
hand is underneath the owner's hand. And
it's not touching the animals. So it's a
pizza. That's Rashi. This is also talks
about it.
So Rashi says an interesting answer that
the the coin is not so important over
here.
He does help whatever. But when when the
choir says that each and every person
has to do to Nufa.
So each and every person is important.
Each one is as important as the other.
And if I'm important, my hand has to be
touching the animal. And how can I be
touching the animal if there's 20 other
people there?
So since it's impossible, obviously the
Torah doesn't care that everybody
touches that animal.
Imagine if you had a carbon Pesach.
Sometimes you have a carbon Pesach with
100 100 partners, I don't know.
You have a massive a massive family, you
have 30 40 people. How are they all
going to touch the small little sheep?
There's no smicha by a sheep by a carbon
base. I'm saying it if if it's just an
example of a lot of partners in an
animal.
Now, you have a shul
um
what whatever shul you're go you're a
part of and somebody from shul is going
to the base hamikdash taking a flight
from Chicago to Eretz Yisrael. So, you
all say, "Hey, here's a dollar, shlach
me some money, I want to be part of
Eretz Yisrael."
Why not?
So, but so you need each person to do
smicha?
Says the Gemara, that's not so that's
why it's impossible.
Leinav v'l'had v'leinav. Okay, so each
one should do t'nufa by himself. Lift it
up, put it down, and let the next guy do
it. Who says you have to do it together?
Says the Gemara cuz it says, "Nuf al
rachmana v'lo yitnuf al sh'nei yachid."
It's done once and not twice. It's
explained very nicely.
It is like a a Yeshivish style vart.
That when it comes to t'nufa,
the t'nufa is on the cheftza. There's a
difference between a gavar and a
cheftza.
The cheftza the animal itself has to be
lifted up.
So, sometimes it doesn't even matter who
lifts it. Maybe the kohen could do it
for you. Not Does it
Not everybody has to do it. The animal
was lifted up in Eretz Yisrael. But,
when the mitzvah's in the person,
that's that's smicha. The mitzvah's It's
not a mitzvah that the animal should
have smicha done to it. It's a mitzvah
that each person should do smicha and
that's why you have a difference how
many people do it, one or all the
partners.
Says the Gemara,
"U'smicha b'shchutam l'asa." You're
telling me there's no such thing no such
thing as smicha when the animal's
shochted. Here, it says m'furash that
the smicha after the animal dies.
Mishnan,
so
a kohen gadol has the right
say I want to do the avodah right now
today.
So imagine I'm just thinking to myself
every typical coin goes to the base
Hamikdash to do the perform the avodah
twice a year. In his mishmar and even in
his mishmar and his family and this and
that, you know, so finally you get to do
you're there, you're ready to go. The
that one time a year that you get to do
the avodah and this coin Godol shows up
and says, "Sorry guys,
me."
Can't say a word, he goes and takes
over.
So let's say you want to do the tamid.
I'm going to show you the picture soon
as I show you the picture you remember
we we had it, you know, not too long
ago.
The by the time of the 13 Kohanim that
help out
this one carries the the leg and each
one that carries we learned that you
don't show the the cut where the animal
was cut in the butcher shop over there.
They place it, you know, so it should
look nice.
First guy, number one in line, he
carries the head and one of the rear
legs. The second guy in line carries the
two feet, the two front feet. And that's
how, you know, each person carries
something.
So it says like this.
So imagine here here they go.
The guy in the front
he's carrying a head and one foot.
Second guy, two feet. See how it's
positioned next to his body so you don't
see the cut.
This guy in the back he's not doing it
well.
And that's how they walk, 13 guys up the
ramp.
So says the Gemara, it says in the
Mishna
bizman she coin Godol yeah, like uh
let's call it nine lines from the new
perek.
Bizman she coin Godol writes in the
after, when he decides, "Right now I'm
going to do the tamid." he would go up
the ramp, the second in command, the
second
guy is waiting, not waiting but
something happens to the coin Godol, he
becomes the coin Godol.
Gail amoxil the kevesh
it's kind of steep, you know, so he he
needs to catch his breath.
Achas gami mino he so this guy in come
in. He takes him with the right on the
right hand below.
He pulls him up, you know, helps him
out.
The first guy walking in line, he's
holding the The first guy walking in
line, he's holding the head. So, he he
extends it, he gives it over to the coin
Godel.
What does the coin Godel do?
This is the word that's not good for us.
So, I'm a
He does smicha.
Smicha on a dead animal. Just So, the
head without a body, right?
I said this joke on Pesach and the
island didn't last. I can't tell you the
joke. The punchline was terrible. The
way I said it was nerve-wracking. So, I
have trauma from the joke.
We'll move on. So, I'm a lame is our
gun. You know, no, you don't you don't
want to hear the joke. So, I'm a lame is
our gun.
It's the It's the joke. I'm not going to
say the whole joke. It's the joke that
the the doctor would
attach limbs that got cut off and they
brought the So, he's so he's so good at
attaching
uh different limbs. So, one day they
brought the a head.
He says, "No, this one I can't do. You
put it in a plastic bag. He didn't
breathe already for 20 minutes."
Okay. So, here you have a dead head. You
have a dead head.
It's not a dead head. You do smicha. So,
I'm a lame is our gun. After you do
smicha, so it's a it's a question when
we said there's no smicha on a dead
animal.
Next, how should I say in the region
stay down?
Now, the second guy in line, he has the
two front feet. He gives them the one
called them hands. He gives them to the
first coin. Nice to the coin Godel.
How should I say in the region he gives
to the first coin stay down? Nice to the
coin and the first coin gives it to the
coin Godel.
So, I'm a lame he does smicha with our
gun and the coin Godel tosses it into
the fire.
There's a halacha. I found it very
interesting. I I think people don't even
know about it. I certainly
uh
even if I know about it, it's like not a
thing that people are marked with.
You know, like when the kid does glila,
what does everybody do?
They They They give the the guy, you
know, the guy to the bima. So, that they
used to charge money for that in shul.
Like, if you're the one giving the
gartel to the guy doing glila,
that's a that's a keyword.
We just do it because, you know, we help
him, but that's
passing the mantle, the gartel, all that
is all part of the mitzvah.
So,
that's what it says over. You give it to
me, I give it to you.
Great. Nice to the kohen gadol.
So,
the second guy doesn't mention the first
guy. The second guy gets out of line,
goes back home.
And
all the limbs,
the third guy gives to the first, the
first gives to the kohen gadol, he
tosses it in.
The third guy goes home.
Then the fourth guy gives it to the
first guy, first guy gives it to the
kohen gadol. Now, why does the first guy
say that? I saw that someone explained
it, I forgot who it is.
I think it was more of an achron kind of
thing that since the first guy, he was
supposed to be the main person, and then
the kohen gadol decided to kick him out,
>> [clears throat]
>> so we we let him stay on the mizbeach
for as long as he wants, and he's a big
performer over there. So, but the kohen
gadol keeps on doing smicha on every
single limb, smicha, smicha, smicha. So,
what do we do with that?
What does it mean to write that if the
kohen gadol is too weak, he can't do
smicha? Who smicha? Let somebody else
toss it into the fire.
I go, part of you see that the kohen
gadol does do smicha on a dead animal,
so why are you telling me, "Oh, smicha
only tnufa is on a is on a dead animal,
and
smicha not?" I'm going to buy you a
awesome plate of the kohen gadol. It's
not really a thing, but we do it just to
give honor to the kohen gadol. Pretend
as if, you know, he did the smicha to
begin with. He was involved all the way.
He did the Smicha on the Zeah.
Hadracha Midos, he's Hadracha Midos,
he's Hadracha Midos. This is more for
the Israeli Chevra, but I'll tell to you
as well, there's
there's Rav Salanter, he he says that
it's easier to learn all of Shas
than to break one one bad Midah that you
have.
To break one to work on one Midah and
fix it.
So, here's the riddle. Where is it
easier to break two Midos
or fix two Midos
than to learn all of Shas? Right over
here, Hadracha Shnei Midos.
It's Mama Shein bad jokes.
It's worse than bad?
With a stick?
Head in bag?
So, whatever, for those of you have to
picture it. Come with a head It's a
Shaita. You didn't breathe for
Zog the Mishnah. Okay, now it's going to
get very interesting. Shtei Lechem
Milu'im Zacha Zachas, Milu'im Zacha
Zachas.
We're completely we're done with with
the the Menachos and the um
the Smicha, moving on to how to make the
the Lechem HaPanim. It's a very
interesting shape.
It's a very interesting size. It weighs
um I don't know, 12 lb each bread.
Massive massive breads.
How do you how do you do it? What's the
procedure? And we're going to see a lot
of stuff about the Keilim in the Beis
HaMikdash. Very very interesting stuff.
Shtei Lechem Milu'im Zacha Zachas. The
two breads from Shavuos, here we go.
Two breads of Shavuos.
Those two breads
you have to knead them separately. In
other words, it's its own dough. Don't
mix up doughs here. Don't make a very
large dough and then divide it. You make
one dough for this lechem, one dough for
the second lechem.
The
menafais achazakis in the in the oven
one one one. You can't put two in the
oven.
Lechem HaPanim, the 12 breads that we
eat from Shabbos to Shabbos, you put in
the the shulchan.
Same procedure as the stay at lechem
when you make them.
Each one is made all by itself. But when
you bake it in the oven, you put two in
the oven.
There's a kosaiv.
The Lechem HaPanim, you have to put in a
mold.
What I was going to say, three molds.
So as you make it, you put in the mold.
I'll show you a little video or whatever
in a second.
Kishyu raidon, and when you take it out
of the oven, nice non-lutfos.
You put into a another
mold. The Mishnah only mentions two, but
the braisa says it's actually three.
So the breads don't fall apart. Let me
just show you here.
Let's call this a mold.
This is as it's dough.
And then you put it into oven into a
separate mold.
That mold has We'll see it tomorrow
also. It has like holes on the bottom.
[snorts]
Also square molds, but holes on the
bottom. And then because during the
baking process it expands, you put in a
third mold.
When it's still hot, you don't want it
to fall apart when you take it out of
the oven. So there's three molds.
How do I know about
kneading it one by one, putting in the
oven? How do you know these things? The
beginning of the Mishnah
shnei sronim yeachal
echos.
The Lechem HaPanim is two sronim.
And sorry, we said it's about 2 and 1/2
kilo of flour 2.2 That's what we
women or men also would take challah
when we have 2.2 kilo like 5 lb. So,
this double that 10 lb per challah.
Massive.
It's like you know a chasanah challah.
Those weigh 10 lb? I don't even know.
They're 5 lb?
So, double in that.
It's only 5 lb. Is that a big challah?
The Rebbe's challahs. Okay, I I am not
familiar, but
You know what I just remembered? It just
flashed by me.
I might be making this up cuz I was only
5 or 6 years old, but I used to go to
the Ribnitzer Rebbe a lot.
A lot. My father went pretty often.
And we used to leave Far Rockaway like
right after Havdalah.
And we'd get there during shaleshudes.
I'm not joking.
We get there in shaleshudes.
But he had 12 12 challahs. Is that a
thing by Rebbes to have 12 challahs?
Okay, so I I did see it. Okay, fine.
Yeah?
It's on a regular Shabbos?
12 challahs?
How could you stay skinny when you have
Yeah. You'd be challahs. Rebbes have
for Shabbos. Okay, so that's normal.
Okay, fine. I'm telling you he had it. I
remember the 12 challahs. I remember my
father explained to me.
But I was 6 years old, so I probably
maybe I don't remember seeing it
afterwards. What would I ever see that?
You're talking about almost you know 47
years ago.
Wow.
Ah, to master the bottom. He's right.
Now, it makes sense. Pusha, we're
learning. I don't know what Very good,
Mark. Yashar koach, Mark.
Hi.
Yeah. Zog the Gemara.
So, it says halachos. Shnei lechem al
hashulchan. Vilamdin halachos halachos.
make them as one one by one. How
do you know that each
of the two of
us?
I say even though the proper way is the
but I'm in America. They don't know what
is sitters.
Instead of you know.
How
do you know that you need them
individually
should be like in one place.
How
do you know that you bake the upon him
to do time of the sun to a song?
You should place them. Some talk. Is
washing your or some
you should place one placement of two
breads.
No the same word that we use the second
ago we're going to learn a second thing
from it. I don't have
a lot of them upon him but not.
As I can't do that that's the rules. The
rules are that the rule is they can only
learn one concept one from each word you
can't learn two.
I have your some
you already used it to teach me that the
you take the sun to a song two breads in
one oven.
Tomorrow in Canada some Tom.
My
from the fact that the used two words
instead of one word
you learn two of those from it.
Says the
the sun to a song with force.
You should put these breads in a mold.
Should put them in
and then.
The sun to a song you should put you
should like put them in it doesn't say
they
the way the way they they learn it
doesn't say
it says the sun to see putting it in a.
In a
in some sort of mold should put them in
you should know there's three nice
little force here. this one. Just show
it again as I'm talking.
So,
nice little force with a tiny botzek.
You put it in while it's still dough. U
kemint first chiyuv tanur and that is
special
mold in the oven. And you notice in this
mold that in Yoshi's thing here, the
design, there's holes in it so the heat
transfers through. U kshu right then
when he takes it out, nice little force,
he puts it in a third mold kedei she lo
itzcalcel that it shouldn't
it shouldn't fall apart. When we went to
I forgot the guy's name again.
What's the name of the bakery that does
lechem apunim in Eretz Yisrael?
Seidel's. Correct. Like up north or
something. So, we
it's just me and Levi Freeman, maybe a
few other people. This is 7 1/2 years
ago. We had a whole
production. We're going to bring him to
Ramat Beit Shemesh.
I don't know, something we're going to
do it and then the war broke out. So,
Keren Shmuel Ron. Yes, thank you.
Um
Okay, whoever goes to Eretz Yisrael
could go look up Seidel's. It's
interesting. He has a bakery. He he just
does it for to show you how how do you
make stale lechem lechem apunim.
This issue is if you look at this
picture, I mean, try to do this at home.
So, he had he had he had trouble. Even
though he's been doing this for a long
time, it started falling in, you know,
you have to have these forces. Maybe he
was in a rush, you know, cuz
we're waiting there. And to to bake this
through and through,
it takes time. So, I don't remember
exactly what happened, but it wasn't so
gishmak.
But, nevertheless, it was worth the
trip. And I we we're planning, yeah,
maybe we'll still do it. Who knows?
Have to talk to Benny. Arrange a trip or
something.
Says the Gemara
said this. Great.
Will I ask the Gemara, why do you need
three?
One, okay, one you put it into you know,
you you uh
you shape it and the ram is made out of
gold.
Then you put it in the oven.
So, what's the problem?
Use it again.
Use the same when you take it out of the
oven put it in the original one.
It says the ram can be oven not for
cuz once you bake it
it
it spreads it it um it rises it it it it
turns it it's a different shape. It's
not the same shape. It's not the same
size as the original one.
Some explain that it comes from the top,
you know, like when you make a challah
it goes over.
So, whatever the whatever the p'shat is
it does not fit into the original one.
Great.
Says the Gemara itmar lechem uponim
keitzad osinoi soi how do you make the
lechem uponim?
Daf tzadik dalet amud bet. Let's let's
say the sponsors so we could go
straight. Turn you the daf by Dar Global
experts in cross-border payments.
Oh.
From from the
Germany. Yeah, I I'm showing you the
video because
it it brought me to tears seeing myself
in tears. So, I said, "Okay, maybe uh
choked me up.
Probably choked me up again.
But it's in Hebrew. The truth is it's in
Hebrew, but you guys speak a little
Hebrew.
This is on Yom HaShoah last year.
You don't believe you're not going to
believe it.
trying to get a
giving a public
the greatest revenge
>> [music]
>> More and more tired I will be in a coma.
Okay.
One one thing we got out of for sure
that I would pin so join this year. That
was a good uh pick up for this year.
Hold on Mark 1 second.
I just want to not forget this one.
This is in the base madras. It's It's
unbelievable.
The amount of guys that come
and this is in Gilo.
Jerusalem, right? Gilo is Jerusalem.
It's another we have two places in
Jerusalem.
Sweet pin so what I say? I would pin so
I would say is father. Yeah.
Okay.
Him I don't think we got. Although he
did come to a share in Hollywood,
Florida but I don't think he's part of
the share. Maybe, you never know.
Oh, yeah.
One of these is English, one of these is
Hebrew. I don't know which one is what.
But let's just read the words and then
I'll show you the video.
Kamin table protza
one is a open box. It's a box that
exploded.
Imagine you have a
a bomb inside. What's going to happen?
The top will fly off and maybe one or
two walls.
So that's what the Lakem of Pan looks
like. That's the one we're familiar
with.
Table protza looks like this.
The left.
Now I'm thinking about it. I had a
little explosion inside.
You know?
What?
After your kids open up the after coming
present.
Okay, got it. Number 38 in English.
Got it.
And Sfinery Kedis means like a like a
little boat, a speedboat.
Literally like a speedboat.
So,
we should remember this for this almond
because that's basically the almond.
Ask questions on both. How could it be
square? How could it be How could it be
a speedboat? Different questions.
Kamin Teva Prusa, it's it's a square
like an Amazon box that that was open,
no top. V'er no amar Kamin Sfinery
Kedis.
So, first of all, to me, it's a little
bit of a kiss of No, it's not a pure
kiss from a show, a little bit. Because
in the news,
whoever follows the news,
I got to know if I'm getting back to
Israel [clears throat] on time, if
they're going to restart the you know.
So, Trump said that he destroyed 158
their entire navies on the bottom of the
ocean.
He says, "Oh, besides those little
speedboats,
those Sfinery Kedis." He said.
He says, "If they come close, we're
going to blow them out of the water like
we did to those drug boats."
And by the way,
we're down 92% on drug smuggling since
we got rid of those boats.
Thank you for the attention to this
matter.
>> [laughter]
>> He really said this yesterday. The
little the fast those fast boats that
they have and they they were trying to
lay mines with those fast boats. We're
going to blow them out of the water.
Sfinery Kedis, today's daf.
So, let me show you the video.
Slide 38. HERE WE GO.
>> [screaming]
[music]
>> IS THAT A SONG THAT I'M GOING TO SING? I
WAS DOING
OKAY.
>> [snorts]
>> Spanish a spin it is. [clears throat]
Now,
we know that on the sugar there were two
spoonfuls of the vino.
So,
if the table
the if the bread is flat,
so I could put a cup I could put a
whatever I want on the bottom of a flat
bread
as so.
The problem is if it's a speedboat,
imagine a canoe.
Where exactly are you putting
a spoon in the canoe? It comes to point.
By the way, Rashi explains that this
point is like a V and the bottom is
like a half an inch wide. It's the the
size of a finger the bottom.
So, where there's no shelf for you to
put it. It's going to be like
you know, not a good place to put it.
So, the tomorrow answers take a look at
this.
We have to actually create a little bit
of a shelf in the bread so that the
spoon could sit in there.
If it's a box a square, I could put the
the down on it. Element of spin it is if
it's a like a boat. Hey, how do you ask
the where exactly the spoon sit? So, the
on each bread
there was a little
indentation for this um
for the bazichin.
For the
bazichin.
So we're we're really hitting up. We're
going to go after the
the the the speedboat chat. At the end
we're going to have one cash on the
square.
If you say that it's a open box, kind of
the have the yosif chanim.
Oh, so now
check this out.
Between each bread they have half pipes.
Take a pipe, cut it down the middle, I
have a pipe.
And on those half pipes, they would lay
the second layer of breads. In other
words, the breads could actually lay on
top of each other like boxes, like six
Amazon boxes. That's fine. It works like
uh six shoe boxes, why not? I see it all
the time in the in the warehouse.
But they're hot breads.
You need the air to flow in between the
breads. Otherwise, there'll be too much
moisture build up. So you put these
little
uh
half straws in there. Here, let me show
you.
Like this.
They have three going through each
bread.
The top doesn't need it. The top
Really?
I don't I don't remember that. Okay,
we'll have to do it again.
Yeah.
No.
Exactly. We had a question what al
means. Does al mean next to or on?
Right.
That is correct. Correct. This is going
to go with that shita that it's or the
question is according to that shita.
Yeah.
Now,
it works well
if a a bread is a square, so you can put
three pipes on it. But if a bread is
like a speedboat, like a canoe, how
exactly is a pipe going to going to sit
at the end of the canoe?
Here.
Yeah.
It the
It doesn't really work.
So, you must say that there's an extra
piece over there, like a
a square piece.
And then
And it could sit.
It's not optimal. It's not It doesn't
have the the full width of a square
breadth, but it has more width than just
a narrow point.
Yeah, I don't give a schnitzel again.
It's called the Yasa. How would they put
these these these pipes?
Moshe, what?
Okay, I hear.
So, then then you don't need any.
Yeah, I hear.
Good kasha. I I don't I don't have a
good answer to you.
Bishlam Adam came and he's asking, "How
come you have to put it all the way
there?" And put it Put it in. Push it
in. 5 in, you know, they'll be closer to
each other.
It wouldn't
>> [clears throat]
>> Maybe What he's saying is maybe it it
has to do with the
What do they call the Gamara says later
on? The sneefin.
The sneefin.
So, we'll see. Maybe when we get to the
sneefin are there was walls on this
[snorts] that went all the way up, but
they're not walls. They're poles. And
those poles were positioned all the way
at the end, not where you're saying.
That's what he's answering. Okay, let's
see.
Um
The Hagaf, I'm just throwing this out
there cuz I miss Park City, but those of
us who go skiing and snowboarding
there's half pipes.
I actually want to make
You can't even tell the Israelis this,
but even the Americans we have to
There's something called the half pipe.
>> 360s, that's
>> Half pipes.
Um I don't know about you You ever You
never went on a half pipe.
But, it's got It's not I'm not on that
such a level, but once in a while you go
in there it's very shmaky. You You could
go back and forth the whole day.
Basically, it's like
Yeah. Okay.
It's a half pipe made out of snow and
you go up and jump and then you go up
and jump. You don't have to jump. Maybe
you could just go
It's Okay.
They have I guess in the bike parks also
some of them they have
Yeah. El Amado Amar Oh, no. Not holding
it yet.
So, Bishlam Amado Amar came in table.
Where are we? 2 4 6
Eight lines from the top. Bishlam Amado
Amar came in table prutzo I don't know
the same as sniffing the lecha.
Oh.
If
there's if if it the the bread is flat,
so I understand why I need side post.
We'll call them side post. Sniffing. So,
let's see if we have a good picture for
sniffing.
Okay.
So, the sniffim are well, over here
they're showing He's showing it way
wider than than usual. So, it doesn't
answer your question right over here.
But, over here the these walls they go
up. What are they doing? They're holding
the bread in place. But, imagine if you
have
a canoe.
They put a canoe between two walls.
What's going to happen to the canoe?
It's going to tip over.
A straight canoe between two walls.
Are the walls going to hold it straight?
Not necessarily.
It's on a point. The bottom goes like
this.
You
Yeah, I'll show you a picture. You are
looking at me like I'm crazy.
So, over here the walls
hold the bread in place.
But, over here the wall does not hold
the bread in place. why? It's going to
fall over.
To one side.
Something like that. It's not
What good did the sniffim do?
That's question number one. Also, these
sniffim are not really
uh what the Gamorah talks about. We're
going to have to see what the Gamorah
says in a second. Okay.
But if it's a boat,
how do the sniffim the side walls hold
up the bread?
Let's see where that is.
Oh, here's a half pipe. Somebody
Who put it in? Is that me?
I don't think it's me.
Um this this could show it.
So, basically
the the Gamorah is saying that there's
there's like a little
there's like a basket or something. How
do you How do you describe it?
>> Yes.
>> Here, like this. Take a look now.
There's like Yeah, there's there's like
a There is an indentation there for the
shape of
a boat. You put the boat in there. So,
it doesn't shake It doesn't rock from
side to side.
She says the Gamorah, Bishlama Sorry.
Heycha samcha the sniffim How do the
sniffim hold the bread at all? The
Gamorah says the Gamorah They have a
shape to it, like a slot, and the breads
fit into the slot. Bishlama mad am I
human being kedas? If you say that the
bread is
like a boat,
How did the beings sniffim? I understand
why
you have the side walls. Element of
human table put down. What if you say
that the breads are square? Sniffing
normally. What exactly do walls help
square flat boxes that are on top of
each other? They're not going anywhere.
It's not holding it in place.
They're squares. Without a wall, let's
see. He did something over here.
Here, this one right over here.
In other words, the breads are good
without the without the walls, the
breads are not moving.
Says the Mara.
I give you you grow the lechem
because of the the weight of the bread
tallah they'll break. So may love you
need to put
the walls. You need to put these um
they need to be
they need to be um suspended and not on
top of each other.
Right? Because the the weight of the
breads all the breads, six breads on top
of each other will crush the bottom
ones.
Bishno
means finery kedas never got to show me
nothing.
So this one is hard to explain a little
bit without pictures. I'll try to do my
best.
If this is the sniff, the sniff is like
a L shape.
And this sits
on the table.
Okay?
So where does bread go?
Bread can't go on the L shape.
Bread has to be directly on the table.
How is the L shape going to fit under
the bread? It can't.
But if it's
a boat
so the shape of the boat is like this.
So the L shape fits right underneath the
boat.
Yeah? Are you with me?
If if this point is the point of the of
the boat.
So this part is on the table.
And the L bracket fits right underneath
the curvature.
Yeah? I'm asking or not asking. Let's
see if we can find something here.
Here, you can see it over here.
>> [snorts]
>> Here, check this out. The L-shape over
here fits right underneath the bread.
You see? The bread is not
laying on it. Maybe put some pressure on
it.
To it, but not on it.
So, this bracket right over here.
It's not so good. It's like elevated,
but okay. It's not the bread
is still touching the table. Here,
here's the point that the bread is on
the table.
And then the bread has a curvature.
So,
the bread is not disturbing this
L-bracket. But, if you have a flat bread
that has to be in this area,
how exactly is this going to sit? How's
this going to work, this guy?
There's some extra pieces over here.
Let's see.
Let's see how he did it over here. Okay,
you can't really see. But,
says the Gamorah, the answer is that the
there's no L-brackets. If that's your
shita, the shita is going to be that
that the they're just directly on the
floor. The snifim are just on the floor.
They're not They're not under a bread.
They're just on the floor.
I remember what they're on the ground.
In
Yes, they're on the ground.
Snifim, I got my shulchan menuchum.
You're right. If you hold that
the bread is like a boat shape, so then
the snifim are on the table.
Because it doesn't really interfere with
the bread. The bread has a point. It's
It's a V.
But, according to my minhag, it says
that it's a box. It's square. Snifim
kagam
you must say that the snifim are not
laying on the table because there's no
room for them. There's a bread on the
table.
So, they're on the floor.
Oh.
So,
Oh, this is good.
Gishmak. Uh who put this in here? Mark?
You did?
I you got it. Okay, great. That's a good
one.
Yeah, you see this?
So, here you have a boat
that has
It just has So, the bottom of the boat
could be touching the floor without
touching the metal on this forklift.
I forgot what they call it. I just heard
what this forklift is called cuz I was
in Miami and they were taking yachts
out, things that are much, much larger
than this thing. Massive. Okay.
So, we want to get to the end before
3 minutes. 3 and 1/2 minutes.
So, it says the Gemara, we're at the end
already.
So, Nachman, let me just show you this
one more time.
Oh.
So good. Excellent.
Pause here. Stop. Great.
So, if you notice, the bread actually
holds down the walls
and the walls hold the bread in place.
They help each other out.
Without the bread,
the walls will fall backwards. So, the
bread puts pressure on. But without the
walls, the bread will tilt, will tip
over.
So, each one helps the other. But if the
breads are square,
so the breads are not on top of the
snifim, so they're not holding the
snifim in place. The snifim we said are
in the ground. So, the bread is not
helping the wall. And what exactly is
the wall helping the bread?
So, therefore,
it doesn't it doesn't
it doesn't go well.
makes a lot more sense that that that
man is going to have to go that the the
bread is more of a dancing boat. It's a
boat shape and it helps the Snifim and
the Snifim help it. Raboisai, have a
wonderful day.
