Good morning REB BOYS. AH! HE DID THIS CHECK CHECK TO SEE IF THE show he did the ah. No, it was only in my house. Now he's back to back to the madrish. No, it's not a joke. We're back. It's nice. We're back in the middle of a war. The Israeli government feels comfortable that we are safe now. Although there are missiles coming in still, but not at the same rate. And if there's a warning and we have to leave, we have two mamads, really good ones right over here. You make a right, you go in, that's one option. The other option is to go to the building. It's not a real mamad. We're going to ask all the social security receivers to stay in their place with the canes ready to go. And we go out first. The young guys go out first. Okay. All jokes aside, yesterday we were at Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Abby doesn't like this. But we're back. I didn't hear any sirens tonight. Maybe there were, I don't know. I don't think there were. Let in the middle of the So, we're going to talk about the what. Yossi Klein, our CEO, when he's determined to do something, he does it. And we all told him there's not going to be a So, you can't get in, you can't get out. I'm coming. Kids are he got here through Turkey, through Egypt. And then like somebody showed me a video yesterday of some going in the transit in Turkey and a bunch of Arabs surrounded them started screaming death death to this Palestine free Palestine mom's chanting and and being very obnoxious. So, that's in Turkey. Then you go to Egypt and then we all saw the picture he got to what looked like Eretz Yisrael. It's part of Israel, I guess. And he uh fell down on the floor and kissed the floor. There was a tremendous simcha and relief that he was here in Eretz Yisrael. His whole extended family wasn't able to come because of the the matzah of his his mother, his father, his brothers, the whole matzah. He came with the just the core, just him and his kids. But on my side, he had real mishpacha. last night. MDY came in, people came from all over the place. We had uh the Yerushalmi, I don't know what's his last name. I don't What's his last name? Chaim Leib? Came in with a few with the shtreimels, the whole thing. A few guys with the with the whole cuz you come in with the without the shtreimel, you know, as mishpacha with the shtreimel, the whole thing. And people stayed the entire chasunah. One one person stayed even through the mitzvah tanz and did a mitzvah tanz with the kallah. It's unbelievable. So, I'm going to show you some of the Mazel tov to Yossi Klein and Shmily's chasunah. This is my rebbe, Rebbi Yididi Kremer. He got a brocha under the chuppah just to show how how And then Yossi Yossi uh he he sent me a voice note. He says, "Look, you changed my life and my family's life. You're like my father." Father I have to give I have to give brocha achrita. So, I got brocha achrita for the first time in my life. And then after the chuppah, so what is the chuppah? No, this is not Hold on. >> [music and singing] >> Ah, this is the kallah's tisch. It goes in order. This is the kallah's tisch. These are all uh MDY guys. Now, under the chuppah, I went over there I was already there. I was the first person there, basically. So, I give mazel tov. He says, "I'm not letting go of your hand for the rest of the chasunah." So, I tried to shake him off by dancing and it worked. I'm here here it goes. I'm trying to shake him off. I can't I can't let go of your hand. That's This is what he told me. But we did under the we had a whole record. >> [music] >> Ariel put together something. I think it was let me see. These are all empty wine news. >> [music] >> He's not letting go. Not letting go yet. >> [music] >> Can I Can I go fight him? I don't want to miss that video. Okay. Oh, Shamshi and Shamshi. >> [music] >> Oh, this is This is it. This is the one This is the one that Ariel put together. Did he did sing that over there? David was mom into [music] it. I noticed that. Another thing you'll see There's no video guy there. So, I'll be coming out to you. He was the official video and nobody asked him but he decided You'll see in all the he's taking me in. No balance to give back to Yossi so [music] he has something. Hold on. Is this it? I don't know. I don't want to bore the oil on with Oh, it's not it. This is it. If the song keeps on going into other areas then you know it's a [music] That's it. It's something else. Yeah? This is it. Those are the sound of guys that came in. >> [music] >> This is how we coming out to the video official video guy. >> [music] [cheering] >> Marcus Goldstein >> [music] >> I know like maybe 15 people that had tickets to come. Mark >> [music] >> and Morty and my partner Ben and all these guys were supposed [music] to come in. >> [music] >> It's not real the editor. >> [music] >> The cousin >> [music] >> The cousin's breeder, the younger brother. >> [music] >> You would find it down here, no? Better that we look in Australia. >> [music] >> Very good singing, brother. Here they show me the okay. Oh, oh, Reboy said don't let this go viral, please. Yeah, and you have to give me breaks. First oh She tells me you you're doing a mitzvah dance. I said what is that? He explains me you go back and forth, you hold the garden, you don't look at the garden. You dance it's kissing right in front of the garden, but you don't do it in front of the garden. Like to the side. Okay, he's giving the whole drasha. And he says but you're first. I said I can't go I have to at least see how somebody else does it. He said okay, fine. You're second. Who goes up in front of me? All six brothers together. So, it's a different matter it's different. They're in a It doesn't count. >> [music] >> I'm thinking the way I put down the put down the guard down with a lot of confidence. Yeah, novice. No, I did it with that I did it with that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, like he used to give confidence to the guard though. >> [music] >> I did I know you don't put the guard like that. They throw it down. I know. I did that. Yeah. It's like yeah, it's This is so if you didn't grow up, if you're not firm from birth, so firm from birth person will smell you out in a second. You come to the when you're done with the armlet, he'll see your your aliyah, he'll see. They say in that Torah There's always like one little So when you do the mitzvah times, no matter what, you can put on a 10 streimels, this they'll see. Oh, so we the shiur in the middle of the chassan we left, we went to Betar. And we were in Betar, we did it in Ari Simon's house for the Israelis, and we had a special guest. We had Nachman Seltzer as a guest. That's why he's not here today. And they had a they had a massage chair right there, and I take a look in the middle of shiur, and he's out. Gary is out. I I mean, here's the massage chair on the right under the balloons. That's where the massage chair is. Just understand. There is. He's up Yeah, it was making you whatever. Reb Boaz I what? Zoom in on screen? YOU COULD SEE WHAT? OH, THIS? OH, he's doing the shiur. Ah. He's kidded doing the shiur like he does what? Oh. There's a screen on the chair. And a chab. Okay. I don't know. Let's zoom in over here. Where is his eyes pointed? >> [laughter] >> No, I don't think so. Not today. Anyways, cool chair. In Toms River, a boy said to 17 people that one night by pouring 10 the next morning. They have another sheer there in Hebrew. Unbelievable. Kol hakavod to him. This is Eli Kaminetzky, the one who got us onto YouTube all the way in the beginning. He's stuck in Los Angeles, right? Oh, here's a guy that dressed up like Gate said, "We also have a big bottles in England, New Jersey. That's that's yeah, that's the size. You tell me." Dov Eisenberger. This we're not going to do cuz it's not true, but I wanted to just read if I could do one one email real quickly cuz it's a good one. I know as corny as it sounds, how MDY has changed my life. This rebellion, my name is Yoni Spiegelman and Baruch Hashem, I live in Ramat Beit Shemesh. I'm not reading 10 emails. By honest, I see the the clock. Uh not too far from MDY home base. I've been part of MDY family for almost a year. So, I guess a long-time listener, first-time caller. I just wanted to share with you the tremendous impact the Daf Yomi sheer has had on my life. I always loved Torah. I love learning it, hearing it, reading it, writing the written Torah, but I've never really felt capable in my learning. I moved through day school and sheer without ever truly gaining the tools or confidence to learn on my own. Over the years, I tried different khavrusas and shiurim, but nothing really ever stuck. When we moved to Eretz Yisrael a few years ago, I lost my long-time khavrusah and slowly stopped learning altogether. After a conversation with my brothers and I, Listen to this. Listen to this. My brothers and I took on putting tefillin daily. He He likes learning. He He writes the written Torah. He's taking upon himself to wear tefillin every day. Something that's been a tremendous struggle for me for years. Then, just before Pesach last year, towards the end of Sinedrion, my brother Dov Dovi, who helped start the Pikesville Pikesville satellite location, encouraged me to try MDY. I'd had been trying for a few years, but I had all the classic excuses. I finally did it and I've kept going ever since. For over 2 years now, I've been putting on film daily. I don't know how it goes before. I thought it Okay. I'm putting on film daily and now for almost a year I've been learning the daf consistently through your sheer. That's something I've never thought I'd be able to say. I made five siyum in the past year. Thank you for making Yomi accessible, clear, and genuinely enjoyable. It's because of all of this that when my 21-month-old nephew Chaim Aryeh ben Sarah suddenly became very ill, our family looked for ways to support him, his parents, and our whole family. My first thought was to sponsor a week of learning with a his complete and speedy refuah shleimah. Couldn't think of a greater zechus than having thousands of people learning to it to in his merit. Thank you Rebbi and everyone else who works so hard to make MDY as incredible as it is. With the deepest gratitude, Yoni Rebbosai. The voice I we are holding six lines in the bottom of the moment base we had in the mission of my case how do you introduce the the starter the leavening agent Oh. I would have done a different but okay. >> [snorts] >> How do you introduce the leavening agent to the flour? You have a minute called has an certain of flour. Do you remove part of the flower and make it a leavening agent and then you reintroduce it back? The problem with that is that it won't be very, very strong. If anybody's wife does sourdough, you know, the starters in the fridge, it's a whole process. They they feed it and they this it's a whole they they they pet it. It's a whole matzah. No, babies, they feed it. You know about the feeding it? You You have to feed it. You have to this it, that it. It's a whole matzah. It does? It comes with its own trips. You put in a seatbelt, the whole thing. Give all of it. Right. So, you can't just hop some uh flour and all of a sudden the side, oh, we're going to we're going to make some start It works a little bit, but not the best. The other idea is to take starter that you already have, uh the this uh leavening agent, I don't know if it's called starter, leavening agent, and put it into the flour. That we said is problematic because since it's moist, it's going to reduce the amount of flour. The volume It's going to reduce the volume of flour. So, and and the and the Mishna says, oh, it's going to be chaserah, yiseirah, it's going to be more or less. Which one is it? If it reduces, so it's less. What is yiseirah? What does chaserah mean? Says the Gemara, my chaserah, yiseirah. What does it mean? It's going to be less or more? Omar Rav Chisda, issur sorer over. Depends what kind of what are you doing there? If you have very little water, so a little amount of water is going to reduce the volume of the flour. When you introduce water, it's going to the flour is going to go down. This is yiseirah. Midas yiseirah, that means so then you're going to want to add more flour to get to the to the yiseirah part because it just dropped the level of flour, so you add more flour, now you have more flour than necessary. Rako, now if you do the reverse, it's the reverse. In other words, you add a lot of water, so it becomes very very thin, very like like pancake-y kind of dough. Yeah, anybody make pan- It's like almost like, you know, making an omelet. It's very What? Batter. The batter, very good. This is So, you're going to have less flour than you need. So, it's going to be What do I care? So, you saw if Lisa Kyle At the end of the day, when I measure it up in a measuring device, I'm going to have an e-sign. Who cares? Water this way water that way. So, what's the obvious answer? What would you answer? I would answer like Why you Mazel tov, chosson. Still still in the in the Sheva Brachas? Not really. >> [laughter] >> Good. Good, Danny, good. He thinks he is. He is Listen, this is a by by by chosson also. Lehavdil, lehavdalah, it's very similar to to Sheva. There's the day the day of, and that's the Then you have a Sheva Brachas, which is very powerful. Then you have the 30 days. And then you have the year. There's a the Shana Rishona. It's the It's very similar. I call Ponevezh. As the Gemara was putting in a measuring But a measuring device has water in it. What do you measure in a device? You don't have full amount of flour in the measuring device. The Gemara has, "No, right now you have an e-sign." So, Rava Ravina and Rav Nachman they both answered the same thing. Like Moshe and Shmuel This is what I did this morning. But Yossi, I guess cuz I didn't see that Yossi did anything last night. And I looked today, I didn't see but it just popped up on my screen now. So, I'm going to There's two There's two words. It's the same word, but one has a lamed in front and one doesn't. Kemoise means as of now, right now. What do we have now? I look at it now. Right now, I have water, I have flour, great. I take whatever I have, I take a measurement. I take an give out that means and that's pretty much today's year. So, let's get these two words. Very simple. means right now. It's like in Hebrew came away came away and lick him away. Like it was yesterday. So, you going to go like yesterday. Yesterday we had a we had a bunch of flour in or it means like 5 [snorts] minutes ago. Whatever means like like it was Maybe it's not even the right touch but you know what I'm saying. I'm just trying to shorten it up a little bit. Like that means I have to start with what I had in the beginning. I have to take a measurement off the flour. Whatever you introduce later, whatever happened later. I'll give you a martial that the talks about. Let's say you have a a half an worth of meat. And for whatever reason it blows up the matter. So, now today I have a today I have a full sheer that could become to me. It could be to me. So, what do I look at? I do I look at it as what I have right now? Right now right now I have a a sheer of a or no where did it start out? You can't just jump to today. What was it 5 minutes ago? 5 minutes ago when I got it off the animals I have a it blew up because I don't know what it got wet and then and then it exploded. What about the opposite? You have a to and then later on it shrinks. That's natural. After 2 days it becomes a that stuff that what's his name sells big turkey and what becomes half the size. stomach So, that's the question. That's today's basically do we view do we view what we have right now in front of us? And right now I have a full sheer or I don't have a full sheer. Same thing over here. I have a vessel that has water that has flour. Let's take an whatever I have in front of me. Let's go. Or no. It actually started out as as dry flour. I need dry flour. I need to take it in the starter dry flour. Hm? When do I freeze frame it? Okay. When When is it in the gear sauce? Right Do we view it like what we have in front of us or no? Everything has a history. You can't start from now. Rabbenu Yona I'm to value lick him moist shahein hoisin sharino. There's a different gear say here in the Bach. In the In the official edition, they put the gear say in there. It's kemosha hoyu. He says shohoyu, it's even easier to understand. Shohoyu as it was or shahein? Cuz the word shahein is a little confusing here, which the Gemara uses it on both words. Shahein, okay. As the Gemara, I have a I have a practical eitza. Well, what's the problem? The whole idea is I have a in a starter flour, do I take some flour make it a leavening agent, which is very difficult to get it going and to make it strong, or do I add a leavening agent to it, which is also problematic because it reduces the flour volume, etc. I have an idea. Let's go put it in a Let's take some flour out of the sheer. But instead of putting it right back in, we let it chametz my broy. Do a whole leavening process. The way you need to do it, warm it up, put it in a nice warm place, put it next to other leavening agents, do whatever you need to do to make it very powerful, then put it back in. Now you have the exact amount of flour that you started out with, and there's no issues. The The The chachma here is that you're going to do it in a in a in a good way. You're not going to start from scratch. You're not going to just add water to it and wait for it to ferment. And then that that takes a long time. You're going to do some ulterior, exterior, whatever it's called, things that make it happen. The lazy even in the Shabbos day. Says the Gemara, that's a great idea. The problem is gzeiras demal asur lasui mal. People will see that after 5 6 hours you come with this leavening agent in a starter bottle. You know they have these It says on it starter the The thing It's a whole kit. He's going to bring his own from a different place. Not not And what's going to What's the problem? He's going to add new flour to the already perfectly sour. When you bring >> [snorts] >> a leavening agent from your refrigerator and add it to the starter that you already have, that's more flour already. Who's doing this process? Whatever kind is working there. >> Raisin crumbs raisin? No, he doesn't know. He's a new kind. He sees He sees his father bringing agent. He doesn't have He put on the side the stuff. Put it up on it. New sugar. Which has to do with other sugar. Amakh mitzin fruit juice as a leavening agent. It doesn't work, says this Tanna. So, the Tanna Kamma says Amakh mitzin, it doesn't work. It doesn't do a good job of leavening. Bishum b'Khanina ben Gamliel omru makhmitzin. It does work. The song I told the story is true. Then I Yesterday I said it and Ari Simon said, "Yeah, he knows of the maaseh." There's uh There's a song that was going around. Ani tapuakh, ata tapuakh, anakhnu tapukhim. There's And also there's stickers everywhere in Yerushalayim at a certain point. So, the the the background of the story is that a bunch of bakhrim got pulled over by by cop here in Eretz Yisrael. And uh the guy pulled them over. So, the guy says "Teda l'ma tza'ati otkha?" So, the guy says "Ani tapuakh." He says "What?" He says "Ata tapuakh." Anakhnu tapukhim is a song that a whole Yeshiva that we're all apples. And the guy said this guy is a meshuggener. And he He let him go. So, as I cursed I talked to the Rabbanim in Yerushalayim, they made a whole niggun out of it. Ani tapuakh, ata tapuakh. And there's stickers bumper stickers everywhere. It is It's a maaseh shaya when you're 24 years 25 years ago. They're green bumper stickers with an apple on it. Yivaldei. Apple on the bumper. >> [snorts] >> Reb Chanina ben sorry mishum Reb Chanina ben Gamliel umru machmitzin. So Reb Chanina comes and says no, the the the apple juice is a good leavening agent. Reb Chanina ben Reb Chanina ben Chanina ben Tradyon there's Reb Reb Chanina ben Tradyon that says that apple juice is a good leavening agent. So now if I tell you this halacha you have to tell me who said it. Kiman az lo s'nan says in the mishna tapuach she riskoi if you take truma. What's truma? If I have a bunch of fruit, I have let's say 100 apples and two I take two and I give it to the coin. Whatever you could really give as much as you want, even a smaller amount. If you want to be average you give 2% to the coin. So now I have a truma apple she riskoi I made it into apple sauce. U'ven asani misoch ha'isa and I put apple sauce into the dough. V'chimtza and through that it became leaven it became whatever it's called. It became dough. Harei zu asura the dough is asur. Why is the dough asur? I I only put in 1 oz of apple sauce to 200 oz of dough and we know that truma is bottle b'meah. The answer is because this truma created something new in the dough. It created the dough. It's not just another small amount. Without it without the leavening agent you don't have dough. So but who does this go according to? Because according to the Tanna Kamma may peiros the apple juice and the apple sauce is not a leavening agent and doesn't do anything it shouldn't make it asur b'chlal. So must be that this goes according to the two either Reb Chanina ben Gamliel or they said it in the name of Hanina ben Tradyon, but the man who that that may perish is a leavening agent. Come on, leave it alone Hanina ben Gamliel or the other rabbonim. It says Gemara, I feel it's rabbonim not like other rabbonim. that and that's you probably think to yourself also like what's going on here. Does it make it Does it leaven it? Does it not leaven it? You You just told me it can't leaven it and it did leaven it. No, it leavens it somewhat. It becomes its hold. This is what we spoke about yesterday. Neither Gamliel have it. It's not 100% but not so much have it. It's considered not so much. It means it's a low grade comments. It's a very comments. That we said yesterday there's a mistake that it's it's comments to the point that if you eat it you get markers you don't get cars. So it's another another level of comments. Oh. And I heard a word from from from Berel Soloveichik. He said this 20 years ago. I don't know if he said it since then. But somebody that heard from him 20 years ago said he said that you know like everything when it comes to Pesach so if you're like a brisker whatever very much when you say this is this much comments comments comments comments. He said imagine if you had a mitzvah to eat comments. Let's say let's say on Hanukkah you have to eat comments. So he says those same people will say on everything that's matzah comments matzah comments. So who said? [clears throat] They asked. So he said yesterday Oh, here it is I need the poach. It's It's a real thing. I need the poach. The poach. You [clears throat] got it. Comments. What what? Comments. What? Matzah comments comments. What the the poach? The iPhone. The No, somebody Oh, the answer of Rabbi Goldstein. Somebody came over to Rabbi Goldstein said, Is rabbinut mama's treif? So, he told him So, he told him, if there was a mitzvah if there was a mitzvah to eat He said, if there was a mitzvah to eat treif, you wouldn't be yoitz on that. >> [laughter] >> Same idea. It's the right answer with that guy for the person that asked the kasha, yeah. >> [snorts] >> Oh, before I forget, one of my very good friends from uh Chicago made a chasunah and I saw that he he texted me that on on the day like a few hours before the chasunah and I didn't answer him. So, I want to say mazel tov to him. Sure, Ray, mazel tov. You know, you remember Sure Ray? Zog dem Yid a ma'amar. Omer Rabbi Yila. Einocha a kosha to interesting word. It's like kosha like the word kosha, it's hard. What's the hardest thing to do in the Beis Hamikdash? We discussed This is certain things that are extremely hard. To throw a a light feather 40 ft you have to be very strong to to even do kmitza on a on a on hard bread. You have to be strong. Now, we're saying something else. Einocha kosha to kmitza, this is more of a technical thing. You have to be a a boki in how to do kmitza. Yoitz of a mincha koite. What's a [clears throat] mincha koite? Mincha koite is a mincha made out of just flour. So, imagine you have a bunch of flour in your hand and I have to go with your thumb, you took three fingers worth of flour and now with your thumb you go like this. With your pinky, according to the Rambam it includes the pinky. Okay, we were going the whole time like this. Right? Shom Alaychem. So, you have to go like this. Now you go like this, what happens is a lot of if it's flour and very loose, it's going to pops out. You know, like there's an indentation over here. You want to make it that's perfect laser. Flush. Perfect, that's the word. Flush. Because if it's indented, then you took out too much. If it pops out, no good, too much. Has to be perfect laser. That's a lot easier to do if you introduce water to it. If it has some consistency. If it's flour, it's not it's you know, you you lose control over it. This is The milk is quite is the hardest thing. He says, "No, no, no, it's not a big deal. You could you could use water. He used a little water. You know, they say about Kick rears and stuff. Yeah, kick rears and stuff. What's the He says, "It's very easy to chop the water. But but to keep it in place, that's that's what's hard. Everybody Everybody could chop water now. You just take your hand and go like this. But to make sure that stays right over there. Everybody could get married. >> [clears throat] >> But to to make the marriage last and be a good marriage, that's now I'm thinking about Yossi Klein and then the sword. The water, okay, fine. I call pardon, let me just show you this. The idea of this thing was like you have a a driver driver teacher, not a driver, the guy that does the test. Now in America, you're not going to know what we're talking about, but anybody took a driving test here in Israel knows that you're going to fail on the first time and probably on the sixth, seventh time as well. I have friends. There's a guy here, what's his name? No, the blonde with the little blonde beard that I would say Mati Stangi. Exactly. I would ask him every day, like, "How come you don't come to shul?" He goes, "My wife has to take a driving test today." I said, "But that she did that last week." "Yeah, she failed." And I'll see him a year later. "We're going to My wife is taking driving test." I said, "But that was last year." "Yeah, she failed." And then like 26 times later, people momish fail eight, nine. It's normal. Momish normal. So Yeah, yeah, they charge. It's a whole It's a disaster here. Disaster. Now, people Guys here remember times that drove their whole life. They have a license for 40 years. You failed. What I failed? I can drive better than you. No, you failed. So he goes, I think you're ready for the test. But What if they test me on a mincha sota? Just doubt it. You should have asked Slava. I'm Mr. David Shimon. So what are you here for? I'm here for the avoda test. I like Okay. You have will need to show me how you to prepare a mancha sota. What? I never seen anyone do kamitza so good like this. >> [clears throat] >> This is good stuff. WHAT? YOU POURED IN THE WATER? This was a mancha chariva. The Rambam paskins that water is fine as long you don't pour in oil. You learned this in the course for kohanim? No, I learned it in today's daf. >> [laughter] >> All right. Oh. Like the clay oven, I think his teeth went back to normal in middle, no? By the way, I see Reb Boruch Shaffner is here. Reb Shaffner, Reb Boruch, what was up with the Shachmanus? I I have I have, but he he got me a magnum Castell 21. You know what I'm saying? Azoy. Azoy gross. Shkoyach gadol. The the the quiet ones always get you the the loudest Shachmanuses. Azoy geht es. All right. Zog the Gemara. Uh because they don't give me a Oh, so maybe this is how the Machlokes is. The Mar sover Kemoish heimesh are in on. That now we have a shailo. How do you How do you do kemitzah? Do I go by what it was? What do you What do you frame? What do you call it? Freeze Freeze frame. What's the freeze frame? Now or before? So Reb Yitzchok, if you go by now, so now it has water in it. Good. So I could do kemitzah like that. Reb Dovid me because I'm going to buy him lemon Sorry. The Mar sover kemoish heimesh are in on. Right now. So right now it has water. Great. Reb Dovid kemoish heimesh are in on. You have to go what it was back in the day without the water. And then may all it's not a good kemitzah if you do with water. Loy, the clay oven kemoish heimesh are in on. No, you go with what it is right now. Kemoish shehain right now. Kemoish. Now. Reb Boruch kemoish It's a different side Machlokes the Mar sover my chareiva. It says in the Torah, look at this, the whole mincha by Hashem chareiva. Should be dry. Dry from what? I mean if you don't allow any water in it, so you're literally bringing flour out of the mizbeach. It's a little interesting. But that's go for the Machlokes. It's my chareiva. Chareiva Maybe means you can add water, you just can't add oil. And therefore, I could do kamitza with water in the in the flour, and it's easier. Well, my called over. No, it's not allowed to even have water. Okay, so it's a side not awesome. Now we're going back to this this this idea of do I view something right now or was before? You get a young young meat. You get a young young meat. She tapa it it blew up a little bit. It became the size of an egg. A kibaitza, which is the size of what you need for tuma. We saw skin and smack. Now, Rashi kind of contradicts himself. What is What does it mean? Does We're going now that this itself the heat the the the egg itself is the the meat itself is tuma. In another place Rashi says it's metuma other things. And it just so happened to be that my Rashi told me yesterday that we did it told me yesterday of what the sham Rashi Simon. First time ever told me of what it is his name cuz Rashi learns here on Sundays the whole day. And he told him he says it's not it's a new look at Sometimes you see Rashi says one way he says another way. He says not that Rashi uh made a mistake or a question Rashi. Not a question at all. It it goes by the Sugya. Rashi's explaining the Sugya. He doesn't have He doesn't grab a sheet. Oh, this is metuma other thing. Oh, it's tuma for himself. He goes He's He's explaining the Sugya as it flows in the Sugya. So, it's certain Sugyas he has to explain differently. That's how Rashi Simon explained it. He heard from someone. Who did he hear from? Okay. I don't know if it holds up. Right now it could hold up. What? Here it holds up. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. Here it holds up. And you might have you might have had influence on him in the way he we go in the official edition cuz sometimes it's very problematic. Rashi in in all of Shas says like this. Okay, but I we always go with what he has now. But I'll go upon him. So, if right now it's an egg, so you have a sheer of tumah. With a skin issue in the smacking, the opposite happened. You have a older thing older meat that um condensed it became uh a trunk. A trunk. So, now I have less than a sheer. Mishael in the Kemosha Shehain, you go backwards. What's the Kemosha here? This is This is uh That's why it wasn't ready last night. I I'm confused with the clock, but anyways Kemosha means right now. Look Kemosha Hain like it was. Uh because there's a there's a video. There's a video that through the video I guess we can we can understand. Okay, we'll see the video in a second. Uh Ra- Rav Rav Yochana Mishael in Kemosha Hain, we go we view what we have now. Right now we have a Kabeitza, boom it's metama. It's tame. Uh right now we have a Khati Beiza, so what if yesterday it was a Beiza? So, it's not metama. Hm? >> [laughter] >> Cuz you didn't listen. You have to see the video here. Let's see the video. >> [snorts] >> I didn't see the whole thing, so I'm not exactly I saw the beginning. It's a restaurant. >> [sighs] >> 1300 1400 shekels of prime veal. Euro Oh, euro. I don't know if this bone must >> [laughter] >> Oh. Go ahead. Put it right here on my plate. >> [sighs and gasps] >> I just remembered I have a wedding today. I got to go make the bride and groom happy. Oh, wow. >> [laughter] >> Oh, wow. Very close to you. >> [applause] >> I I really didn't see this. It's a I did not see this. I did not see that It was It was ready last night, I think. I I didn't show it. Wow. Cuz you know, MDY did get a giant sign, like 6 ft tall with all these We should Maybe we should have had the sign there. We should have showed the sign. And a massive dessert thing. Okay, fine. What? So, the editor will put it in somewhere. Okay, give all that. Anyway, so uh so now now okay. Now, let's go back to this picture. Now, I understand this picture. Yeah? It was uh Kardashian. Kim Kardashian. It was bigger than uh the small one used to be big, and the large one used to be small. Got it. Okay, fine. Now, it all makes sense, yeah? It's a little bit better. The Okay. Yeah. So, I do it tomorrow. Maseh. So, I have a question. Do we go with what we have right now or what it was? Maseh beside the issue of what it used to be before. You have the This reminds me like sometimes the master chef is going to scale. You have a little bit of tough luck. You go up 6 7 pounds. But then stomach, you know, like by Tuesday it's gone. Maseh. Should I go over the issue of what it used to be before? You had it this How do you say eagle again? No, real, real. Real issue of what it used to be before. It was small but tough luck and it blew up a little bit more than it used to be before. Now it's the size it has the volume of a tar. Tar of the shower. So, until the point that it had a sheer it is tar. The time may be kind of a hobby. It's from now on we count it as a full beta. So, what do you see? That we go moist not like a moist. We don't go about what it was back in the day. What is it right now? Right now it's beta. We view it as tar. So, the more that's not a good right out in the bottom. I'm going to tell you it's only in the bottom. You have to I thought about that answer. You have to How are you going to explain it? I'm going to say for It says people are going to notice. So, if we stop right here we know the question. We know people is a derivation. So, how does this derivation allow her work in the derivation? The guy is going to answer there is people derivation. There's a concept in people that's the derivation. That's how it works. It can still fit in. So, what's the what's the question? The same the people are going to notice that if you have a guy is and then whatever whatever the sheer of people is if it blew up to the guy is you're over on people you get cars. If not if it shrunk you don't get cars. The same the notice. I can understand why a guy gets cars. The guy is the bottom. It's only the bottom. People are going to notice the bottom. Do we have a concept of the bottom? So, what is it? Yes. The emo the him be too much people the him be too much noise this always fascinated me. You have a coin who hates his neighbor and the neighbor shows up with a thousand dollar sheep. So, the coin in his mind he goes uh we're going to eat this carbon in six days from now. What did he just do? He made his neighbor lose a thousand dollars. What did do to counteract that that he shouldn't do that? They said, "Oh, if you do that your hands are going to be coming and have to wash your hands in a sink." That's how much people hating hate washing their hands. That's why in in America everything's misdiagnosis. Misdiagnosis rolls, misdiagnosis pizza. You can eat a whole 14 rolls. You don't have to wash your hands. Don't worry about You don't have to wash cuz washing your hands is the worst thing. It's not a pillow. Yeah? So, they have different explanations. It's It's a side thing. It shows you what Okay, anyway. I call upon him. Yeah, yeah. They made the book in the whole thing. But, if you eat a certain amount you have to bench. It doesn't Okay, fine. I call upon him. >> [clears throat] >> So, we have too much we have too much over here. You know, Gary, I have a great idea. I'm going to buy you a massage chair for up there so you can do the share of massage. That's unbelievable. But, you can only use it on the Shabbos. >> [laughter] >> Uh those who know know. >> [laughter] >> I need it on the Shabbos. That's all I did. I need him. I need him to be in the Shabbos. That's what I said. That's what I meant. The day whoever's here on the Shabbos knows exactly what I'm talking about. You have to show me the right. We are Am I right or not? You good. You have to show me the right. So, I know they got people in the noise, sir. This It's not a joke. A guy in America donated two or three of these relaxing chairs. He gave them to me to to bring here, but they they don't fit up there and they never shipped it here. I have to speak to him about it. He gave me the like six years ago, seven years ago when we opened up. I told him up there is going to be people lounging, but I didn't have it's too small. And he donated it. All right. E average is the right size. I had to dig a people for noise we said this already. So, however too much people for too much noise there are bottoming. Clearly I have there a bottom layer of a bottom. I think that's we're talking about the bottom here. So, when there's no sheer they didn't they didn't they didn't enact their commercial law. Tashma. Besides the sheer with stomach the sheer. You have the same case, yeah. We have a older older meat. It was a kazayis and eventually it shrunk a little bit and now it's less than the sheer. So, what's our law? Tell me the show of our when it had the sheer so everything is tommie it was tommie then. The tar become the harbor but from here on out it's not. What do we see? Kim oyster the kim oyster. Kim oyster. We go what we have right now. Right now it's less than the sheer. It's not tommie. No, so what do we do? Omar so he says you all like collecting a baby actually has been. Whatever was and today it isn't whole as they. If right now there's no sheer then there's no sheer it's not me to me even with the rabona nothing. The collector the they have a baby but if yesterday was a half of his eyes and it blew up the collector they have a baby that has to have a baby then it's with the rabona rabona with goyzer that it should be now listen to this this is the keep leaking. Listen to this case can get your higher burger sheer with stomach the cause of the tar. With this three stages it was a full kazayis it shrunk to half a kazayis and it became a full kazayis. Like everybody said yesterday a muscle like you have a clean that's tommie and you take a hammer and you break it so it loses tommie. Now you put it back together you glue it back together. Well well the choir the tommie does not come back. And that's what that that's the question. Did you push off the tumor that to the point that when it came back to the right to the real size, it's too late. The tumor was pukey and went away. Or no? In other words, is there the way do you push off tumor? Sure holds once it's pushed off. So, even though it got back to the original size, it's nothing. No, there's no such thing. Here it is. Beautiful lotion here that uh the guys in the car will put together. Whoever wants to read it can read it. See you Beautiful. Okay, anyway. But where's the food we want to see? That's a different picture. Okay. So, what do you get tomorrow? How could that be? Does anybody hold that it's pushed off? But now we have a fresh mission. You have something that's food that's that's tummy. You put it in the sun and then it start to shrink. So, now you have less than a kibitzer. You have the flesh of a dead person that's my time out with a how much it was worth and now it's less than an olive. Each item with its share. The lentil size of share it's because I speak well because I know it's here. It says over here in forest people is a kiss eyes. Because I speak well. Since it lost its volume. And now the third stage is that you got it back to the original share cuz you put it into water, introduce water to the a one and then it blew up. Tamei'im. What do what do you mean tamei'im? I thought this yesh de'icho, it's gone, it's gone forever. No, the tumah comes back. The people of Chailav. This is going to be a This would be a a contradiction to Shmuel who says yesh de'icho. You see over here no de'icho. So we continue with this theme. What? Uh Teyuvta. I thought you were saying turn uh turning of the nav. Teyuvta. Adar Global happy clients all year, not just this month. The shadchan.com, please rate the shidduch today. Tashma. Tur me'umtanim al greigo b'minyan. So we have here dates and we have You see this guy? Used to be this size. You have a nice majhul. And this is what happened after you left it out for a little bit. Yeah? This is a very shvach compared to this. This is a mitztamek. It's literally half the size. We actually had to get out of the car yesterday. Benny jumped into my car and bought this. Did you buy one or you had to buy a whole box? I asked him for both. Okay, this is for my house. The majhul. I call bottom. Here's the Here's the problem. Here's the You have a box of these giant ones. You have 10 of these in the box. If we go by the count, one of these is good ma'aser when you need to take 10% ma'aser, is good for 10 of these giant ones. Why? Obviously, we go by what? Lichy ma'aser. What it used to be. That's it. That's the whole raya. Tur me'umtanim al agregores biminyon. Oh, so it's the opposite. The opposite. You have a whole box of these. We're going to We're going to have that case also. First case is you have a box of 10 of 10 of these bad guys. And I came out nice bad guys, but I meant they're bad cuz they're with stomach. Tormintainim al agregores biminyon. Says Rashi, we're talking about maaser. What's a maaser? Oh, so to to to to to to see this I just want to show this again. It's a beautiful video that we just did. We had like it's a whole Those who follow the sheer know we started out with a chart with boxes. People got used to that then we upgraded and we got finally to this. Just pay attention. The beginning is trumah, then goes maaser, then goes trumas maaser. That's what we're talking about today. It's also about trumas maaser. Oh, he gave 2% to the kohen. Now he's taking 10% what's left over, 9.8. 10% of it he's giving to the Levi. Now the Levi, who has 10 apples now, he's going to take one, which is 10%, and he is also going to give it to the kohen. And that's called trumas maaser. He's giving trumah from his maaser. Give up. So, tormintainim al agregores biminyon. If you have 10 small guys, how much ma'aser do you take off? 10%? You should take one one small guy for 10 small guys. What did he do? He took one giant guy. What does that teach us? That we go with what it used to be because these small guys used to be large. Because otherwise we have a very big problem. You cannot give more ma'aser than necessary. Right now it's not fair. You're giving one of these for 10 of these. That's actually 20% cuz these are double. This is double this. How can you give one of these for 10 of these? That's not 10%. It's not a fair 10%. Unless we go of what it used to be. These used to be just as large as this. So it's perfect. But if we're going with what it is today, it's halachically problematic to give more ma'aser. Why is it halachically problematic? Because part of it is ma'aser. Half of this guy is ma'aser. Half. But the other half is not ma'aser. And the other half is tevel that you never took ma'aser on it. Part of this never Nobody took ma'aser on this. You're using this to make ma'aser, but you never took ma'aser on it. Now the part that's ma'aser, you don't need to take ma'aser of it. But the part that's not ma'aser, I don't even know where it is. It's somewhere in this in this date. 50% of it >> I take another 10% of the part that is not And you're going to start doing that? You already gave it to the >> mind. No, but okay. It's problematic. If you don't, and you just gave it to the you gave it to the coin, you gave it to the levy. You gave it to the levy already. Okay? You could do it You could do also do it right. You could do it half. It's like you already thought about it. You do it half. Anyway, zoch to gemara. Let's just see this quickly cuz we have 5 minutes left. Less. If you go, oh, but these little guys used to be large, so it's perfect. I took one large one for 10 small ones, but they used to be 10 large ones. It's gevaldic. >> [clears throat] >> But if you're going with what it is today right now, how could you take mice from large one one large one on 10 small ones? >> [snorts] >> Or nine small ones, whatever this is you want to call it. It works in terms of whatever's left in the box. But this actual date is bad. So, what do we do? So, what do you want to tell me? Okay, so we're going to go. So, obviously we go with we take mice on what it used to be and these little guys were very large one day. Now, if I'm going to separate from the small on the large, the opposite. Before it was large on the small, but I'm going to separate one small one on 10 large ones. You have to do you have to do it based on volume. Let's call it even weight. 10% of the weight. So, I don't care how small and how large it is. Let's if I have 10 oz of dates, so I have to take 1 oz of a small one. I don't care. You have to take 10% of the volume, not of the amount. Now, the question is why? Don't we go on what it used to be? Now, this used to be large. It used to be large, so why can't I just take one of these on on nine of the other ones? If it goes with what I have today, so today it's you can't take from a small one on a large one, so you have to go by weight, by volume. Shapiro, it works. Ellie, I'm just looking at Moshe Hayyim, but you you told me that you already established it goes with what it used to be. That's problematic. My rabbi says, "So, now you're giving too much. These little ones are actually big ones, and now you gave too much ma'aser." Eloha betruma d'alaskinon, you know what? We're not even talking about ma'aser. You said we're talking Rashi explained we're talking about ma'aser. But, it says "tashma tarmin te'enim truma." So, when it comes to truma truma d'alaskinon, there's no shear. You can give as much as you want. You can give as little as you want. Truma d'alaskinon, "V'reishah b'inyan ofah v'seifah b'inyan ofah." We're just telling you how to do it in the in the the proper way. If it's small, you should do it by weight. If you're taking the large one, do it by numbers. But, that's how you give a lot. Y'ahkim aseifah, if you're talking about truma, it's a problem. Over there you see "avah noitel eser groggos sh'v'kso atishin sh'v'kakal." You have This is a maktu'a. We had a maktu'a as a k'li, but let's say a maktu'a is like a a certain uh vessel that that you holds the the figs. So, he used to take 10 and put it in a in a basket. Now, the question is, where did it Where did you get the number 10 from? 10? 10 is not a number of truma. If you tell me truma, truma is much as you want. So, we know 2% four four maybe. What's 10? Nobody gives 10% truma. So, it doesn't work. V'vitruma d'alaskinon, as I might have told you today, eloha, that's why I showed you the whole video. V'truma ma'aser d'alaskinon, we're talking about 10% of what the Levi gets. The Levi gets 10%. Then, the Levi removes 10% of what he got. He gives one apple out of the 10 back to the kohen. Now, on that, you can give as much as you want. That's not like regular ma'aser where you have to be careful in the amount. Over here, you can give more. V'avah lo b'goy malu, cuz it goes according to Elozar Avah Elozar b'goy malu. This sign of Elozar b'goy malu truma v'shtei trumot d'David d'alaskinon two different trumot. Achas truma d'alaskinon achas truma d'ma'aser. there's a truman you give to the coin, the 1% the 2% and then there's a truman truman mason the lady gives to the coin which is 10%. That's all in that one puzzle. And now I can make a hackish. The truman tells by me in the mashava. Truman a person walks up there's no share so you can just grab as much as you want. Without a volume without measuring over my shoulder in my head. Now so too truman mashava. Now so too truman mason. The 10% that the lady gives to the coin. And now this is what we're looking for. My truman by your offer just like truman you can give as much as you want you can do you should be large and give them nicely. I have truman mason by your offer so too the the the lady is allowed to permit it to give mason from his mason truman mason with a large eye rab boys are you time out what is shabbos for English.
