Good morning Rabbosai.
Live from Bet Shemesh, my house. I
caught some sort of
stomach
stomach bug.
So I have fever and I'm weak.
And
the stomach thing
we're not going to go into.
So I figured it's better that I give
Shiur here in my home. Yesterday last
night's Shiur in Hebrew I did not give,
I skipped. So I owe a Hebrew Shiur.
I did I was basically in bed all day.
So today
this is about the Daf. It's about the
Yomi I mean. It's about the Yomi.
It's about the Yomi.
I am going to make mistakes
more than usual.
And that's why you are here to
correct me.
Rabbosai today is Shlosh Siyamei
Aggavla.
It's also one year, exactly one year
before the Siyum Hashas.
Special special day.
Reminding the oilam to say Sefiras
HaOmer Hayom shiva v'arba'im yom sheim
shisha shavuos v'chamisha yomim baOmer
or lo Omer.
This tzaddik was one of the three
singers.
Duvid Feder.
This
is an incredible recording.
This is amazing.
You what?
Give Shiur in Hebrew and then we found
out that the internet wasn't good and
nothing worked.
And until we got the internet working
until this then I had to redo the whole
Shiur in Hebrew, the whole Shiur in
English. And Baruch Hashem Be'ezras
Hashem we should learn for everybody.
And the oilam had another
>> Duvid, that kind of laugh that's Mark
Ashkenazi that you're talking about. I
at least give a I get a lot of
coverage. He didn't go to the spa.
>> Mark Ashkenazi is actually on the
Wow, you can see here what's going on
here. It's a beautiful Okay. Now, check
this out. Uh
Uh he has talent. Listen to his words
how they flow
in a Hasidic style
with a lot of heart
and a lot of um I don't know, I'd say
like
uh
Uh whatever the word is. Okay. What's
the word?
You say.
You don't know the word cuz you were
schmoozing. Poetic? Poetic.
>> Situational awareness? Yeah.
Here.
Here, poetic.
Oh, you bet. Let me do this. Hold on.
Check this out. Good morning, MDY
family. I just wanted to share
something. Uh I know maybe it's not my
place. It just came to sing, but in
English they say, "I got stuff for you."
They take them out.
Um I was the outsider of this group. And
what I what I saw on this week was
mind-blowing for me. It feels very
strong points that I took along.
And it was very inspiring. First of all,
the unity between everyone. Everybody
comes from their background.
And while this whole week I wasn't able
to tell [clears throat]
how much money each of you have in your
bank account or what you do for a
living. You just kind of left everything
behind. You just came with your heart
and your soul and just
spent beautiful time together.
And was really inspiring for me. It was
really beautiful.
Everybody cared about everybody. And
that was one very strong point for me.
Another one was the dedication. The
dedication for Toyota and the dedication
for this beautiful MDY
the quality of organization or whatever
you want to call it, but the way
everybody puts in their whole heart and
soul in it and it
>> [clears throat]
>> and nothing stays in the way. Like it
was Shabbat that I I saw Eli giving the
last year a few minutes before the
moment like I came after preparing
myself for Shabbat and I was already
like I know after singing before the
moment I just go put away my mixer stuff
and I go down there and then I see there
Eli sitting and recording his last year
because one of the recordings whatever
something was didn't work. That was such
inspiration for me. And
I saw these kind of moments the whole
time. Also, the vulnerability.
Same as the showers when everybody
shared such showers by the sea. This was
just was amazing to watch.
So, yeah.
Also, like in the morning, I don't
remember his name, but one of the
made a siyum.
And I don't know why, but
[clears throat] I'm the outsider and I
felt so happy for him. I felt so
It was It was It was a moment and I felt
it the whole time. Like, I felt like a
part of this beautiful family, this
beautiful organization. So, I just want
to express myself that First of all,
thanks thanks for having me. It was a
true honor and a pleasure and a
to be part of such a beautiful meeting
avoda.
And also, another very very strong point
that I took along and I think it's going
to stay with me for a long time is this
bringing together the Torah together
with life. Meaning that
the way he brings it into our world in
2016 to our life. And it's not something
that is so far. No, it's a part of us.
We can enjoy life. We can have a good
time, but at the same time, we can learn
and we can
we can bring in the Torah in our lives.
That was huge for me. So, thank you
everyone. Toda raba.
And yeah, I really appreciate it. Thank
you. Okay, so we really hope that Duvid
Feder jumps on the bandwagon one of
these days and joins us for the daf.
Father was in the shiur, apparently.
Tell us what's going on. Ah. Yeah, yeah.
I think his father, right? Although, so
I was just miffed for a moment a few
months ago cuz his father was doing the
daf.
Yeah.
Okay.
We could pretty much jump in, I think.
Let me just see.
Let me just read this cuz I I set up a
sponsorship for this person. Dear Rebbi,
today marks exactly a year since I
started doing the daf from D.Y. Last
year on Chol HaMoed, his wife had a
daughter who was born with extremely
complex heart condition. She needed open
heart surgery and the world-renowned
children's hospital that we were in was
refusing to do surgery saying that there
was less than a 10% chance she would
make it out of the hospital alive.
Everyone was davening for her. We asked
for a second opinion from a different
hospital. We were warned there's little
chance that it would give us a different
answer. That night I sat next to my
daughter's bed crying to Hashem.
And I made a couple of kabbalahs. One of
them was that if my daughter has surgery
and comes out alive, I would start doing
the daf. I was inspired by one of my
cousins sponsoring the daf as a for her.
The The day we heard from the other
hospital. They said would take her and
operate on her. Surgery was on
Rosh Chodesh Iyar and a month later she
was allowed home.
The day we got home it said on the daf
was Shavuos taf kuf ches.
At the beginning of the shiur Rebbi
played Golden Dove video. Look it up if
you don't remember. My daughter is my
golden dove and the daf is my golden
dove. It kept me going through the
struggles of the past year. I didn't
miss a day.
Even the day my daughter had her second
open heart surgery and the day when she
had a cath lab procedure done and every
other stressful day this year was not
complete without doing the daf. Now my
daughter Bassie Bas Yala Esther is doing
really well baruch Hashem. Although she
still needs another surgery in a few
years but im yirtzeh Hashem
will keep performing real
Hashem will keep performing miracles for
her in the zechus of all the Torah and
tefillah done for her refuah shleimah.
Thank you Rebbi for your incredible
shiur for changing our life.
Your talmid Yehuda Zev Stepansky, London
from MDY Bais Menachem Stack Boys.
There was another um video actually but
I didn't put it in. I was like I have to
remember to put it in. I got a video of
somebody had twins also. He said that he
wanted to call his twin
uh the girl MDY because he believes that
that's why she's alive today. Mamish I
got it on the same day. Chavala I didn't
put it in. Okay, maybe we maybe the
editors will put it in.
Um The calm alien baby. He said he
can't. He said he wanted to but
>> [laughter]
>> Alien baby.
>> [laughter]
>> Very nice alien.
>> [clears throat]
>> Uh
no only one of them was a nice like
nigla. One of them had a had

Reb Boaz side, we are holding on daf Yud
Ches amud beis.
Reb Shimon Lakish achshar b'chuda
d'keiva.
Let's see what we have here.
>> [cough and clears throat]
>> Oops.
You see that?
>> [snorts and clears throat]
>> Let me do it again.
The purple line is the chuda d'keiva.
And I'll take I'll try to do the uh uh
I'm a little nervous because I don't
have a lot of room here and it could
drip on my Gamara.
Let's see.
It's not the smartest thing.
Okay.
Who did the kiva would mean all the way
over here.
So, shrita typically is done today is
done over here.
Over here. This is the bas gdola. This
is the final ring.
This is the shipuya kiva. This is the
Adam's apple right over here.
This shpitz.
This is the shipua. It goes downwards.
This is the choid. Meaning this is the
end
of the kiva. So, Resh Lakish
you could do shrita all the way over
here. As you see in the chart, let's do
the chart. You see?
It's not such a clear picture on the
screen. Okay.
But who did the kiva?
Corey Ali Rebbi Yochanan, Rebbi Yochanan
says Resh Lakish giso giso. Giso is a
lotion of gas.
Too much.
Your maxim, what are you talking about?
So, Rebbi Yochanan is going to say
Let's see.
I don't know why this is not working.
It's not working. Oh.
Rebbi Yochanan.
Rebbi Yochanan says you got to move the
purple line
to the
Yeah, what's the called?
Yeah, I know, but what's it called in
our sugi over here?
No, choid is the end.
No.
Um let's see. Maybe
We have it over here.
Oh yeah, kiva.
It's called he calls it a koiva. Okay,
fine.
A call pardon him you could see over
here the shitas. You have a shlogish
that says you go all the way to the end
of the koiva.
Says Rebbe Akiva on you exaggerated. The
Ritva says a beautiful thing here.
Rebbe Yochanan and Rebbe Shlogish were
brother-in-laws. So he made a play on
words. He says giso giso. You
exaggerated my my brother-in-law.
Like it's a new way to call your
brother-in-law. Gis gas. You're a gis
gas.
Your brother-in-law is gas.
Amar Rabbah b'shmi d'Rabbah, paga
b'chitei treifa. Okay, this is going to
be difficult.
I'm going [clears throat] to try.
Okay, maybe take Do me a favor, take my
Gemara away for a second.
Okay, good. Thank you.
This right over here,
you could see there's a flap
that covers [snorts]
this thing. It's a flap.
So I'm going to open it up.
I'm looking for the chitei. Oh, here it
is.
Here's the chitei.
You see these guys? Hold on.
Wow. Basically the chitei are the I have
them. Here they are.
These two guys, perfect.
They look like wheat.
These are the You know, I'll show you
guys.
These this
right over here. This guy is a wheat and
a wheat.
Um
that's what we call the um
No, what what you sing with?
No, vocal cords. Here, now you got a
beautiful shot of it. Beautiful. Look at
that.
These guys, mamesh Okay, fine.
Gemara, please. I need a Gemara to
learn.
Wow.
Thank you so much.
Now, the [snorts] voice side of the day
is at the end of the choir.
Let's see if we see it over here.
Yeah, well.
There's somewhat over here. It's in this
area by me. It'll be in this area.
Let's see what we got.
Here.
You could see over here in this picture.
You see the heathens? Those these guys,
the the funny looking shape things. It
depends from what area if you look at it
from the front like I showed you it
looks one way. If you look at it from
the back it looks another way. Okay.
So he says like this.
Or I mean I put up a heat a treif. If
you
bump into the to the vocal chords,
you already went too far.
You buy low. We have to understand what
he means.
In Hebrew, I'll give you a muscle in
Hebrew it's called pagash.
Pagash auto. What does pagash mean?
I I met him, but does it mean I actually
touched him? Not really. I bumped into
him. You say in English also bumped into
him. So I bumped into him doesn't mean
he physically touched him. He bumped
into him or he bumped into him like he
ran in front of him.
So that's the question over here. Pagash
nagabem, did he actually touch him? He
bumped into him literally. To save you
got By the way, Avi sent me something.
And I started reading it and I couldn't
believe it. It's my the name Joselowski.
And you wrote me that the Hamas did a
protest in front of a show.
And said her name and then I couldn't I
didn't I had an emergency cuz of my
stomach and I just dropped my phone and
I ran.
And [clears throat]
no, but that that's my first cousin.
Shira Joselowski it said. You even said
her maiden name. I don't at the Shabbat
home on our table, Joselowitsky, my
aunt, Joselowitsky. That's my aunt.
No, it says no one was going on in
America. Hamas are doing protests and
garnished.
Harassing people as they go into shul.
Or maybe men men means that you don't
have to go all the way over. You don't
have to go into You didn't touch it,
it's still treif cuz you got to it.
You're in the wrong area.
What? It's only a kasha according to R'
Shloka's cuz it'll be a problem. No. You
overdid it. Right, right. So, we're
going to see there's many different
shitas here.
Pretty much it depends if the knife had
situational awareness.
You can't You can't overuse the
situational awareness. They overused it
in that word.
Stick with this thing. Okay.
Over there, obviously that the knife hit
him and he died, so it actually touched
him. Or
it went up to it but didn't touch it.
You can see you can go by my halacha
here. That the malachim came, it doesn't
mean they touched him. They they they
they met him.
So, R' Papa says
that if you cut the chittin, you cut the
vocal cords,
but you you leave a little bit of them,
then it's kosher. Meaning, you didn't go
past the vocal cords, you're in the
vocal cord area, it's kosher.
This is who?
R' Pappi. So, let's let's go back over
here.
R' Pappi? Yeah.
Oh, [clears throat] no, cuz R' Pappi we
had before pog of a chittin treif.
So, that's R' Pappi. Let me see what it
looks like. R' Pappi.
So, over here you could see that he's
machmir. His His purple line is more to
the cut, you know, to the to the right.
He He He want He wants you to avoid the
chittin completely, R' Pappi.
And Mar bar Rav Ash says you can go a
little bit
a little bit onto the heat them.
It my arm of a little bit of a rubbish
here with heat and share it. Omar I may
my bear bear Mar Yenu call have a
community carrier of here brother of
Ravi I was in front of a real normally
share with heat and share it. If you cut
the vocal cords the heat they
and
at least you you you have some left over
towards the
head. There's two you have the the kind
of the vessel going to the body
and you have the the side going to the
head.
So if you have a little bit going to the
head
you didn't
the
the opposite the left is to the head.
The left is to the head.
Possible everything that says possible
is towards the head towards the eyes of
the animal. Closer the the closer to the
lungs and whatever that's closer.
As long as you leave a little bit of the
vocal cords the heat they
on either side so you cut them in half
so to speak then you're okay.
I'm going to let her have a vanilla of
Ashi I'm going to let her have a sham in
Missouri equal my suit to the last one.
My suit to came to our place with Dora
share with heat and share it. Okay, so
another sheet that says that even if you
shaft in the heat they it's okay. My
bear of Ashi Omar Poga the heat they
share it. Over here it must mean Poga
means you didn't touch it. You went up
to the heat they it's closer. Share cuz
here it says before it's share with heat
they try for. If you cut it even one
little bit
it's completely treif. So I have over
here we have a sheet that that touching
cutting the the heat they it's treif.
So it's going to have you test me now
with the because I may shoot you quite
well a matter share it.
The sheep we call it over
it's closer. In other words
will I matter? So let me see what we
have here.
You have when you see that that that
apex that that guy that where it says
koiva
ulimata meaning towards the
the corner
towards the body towards the right
from
let's see if I could zoom in on it
from this blue arrow that says koiva
going this direction is okay
that's ulimata towards the body towards
the trachea the things with the rings
everything from the blue to the thing in
the rings is good
v'aino dishy b'chitei
and that means that you you from the you
could see from the blue the blue arrow
where it says koiva
if you shut it over there you cut into
the chitei turn an angle and that's okay
because you left some chitei on the left
side of it and you're okay rab Nachman
actually mishipui koiva ulimata
>> [clears throat]
>> so the shipui is actually even further
to the left shipui as we see over here
ma
t'lumdin How could someone understand it
if he doesn't have a
There's pictures they have pictures No a
different maggid shiur yesterday said
that if you really want to understand
sugia you should watch a shiur that
has diagrams Did he put out No way Did
he put out a QR A different maggid shiur
you mean Rabbi Dovid Didi? No
No it's surely surely No you just said
Surely he said that He but he but he
didn't say a name of who you should go
to to watch the shiur obviously He put
out a QR Are you serious
That's interesting
Okay He has a presentation you can watch
I highly recommend that but the bottom
line is Okay You made the cut
It's going to be a first.
Talk to you tomorrow.
Let's just show this. Why not?
Even this part, even cutting into here
is okay.
This is this is the shipui.
Even cutting over here is okay.
We have a big problem because they hold
that the shita must be done
in the basak doila. Thank you. Right
over here. This is the basak doila.
Which it is
I spoke to
to Rav Iceberg. She said today obviously
we chef right over here. We don't chef
in between. We just chef. He's like it's
impossible to know. He says it's very
hard to understand Rashi. All the margin
Rashi says I'll tell you the mitzias
that the the thickness of the skin of
the bull it's impossible to to to feel
rings.
How can you be a novice? This is in a
chicken may lie here. But in an animal,
how do you get to the thing?
The basak doila I don't see it here. You
know, we don't have it, but you know,
maybe this, you know, this red over
here. It's right after all these rings
comes the basak doila.
If you cut right in between
It's kosher shibukashia.
Yeah.
Mhm.
Maybe maybe you just
And then he says he he had a good kasha.
He says that if you do it, but I forgot
the loshon.
Um like a izmel or I forgot what the
loshon, but basically if you cut like
this, it's a kosher shita. He says how's
it possible? You just cut through a
bunch of rings.
Rashi says it has to be getsur.
Oh, sorry.
>> could use a laser to Like you today
could do with the CT scans. Like you
you see you do.
I'm a lay. I know. Like you look you
done a like you look you done a.
So they say it's like lotion of plain
almond. You look you look at the schmuck
a book. You look at the book. Like
barrel and schmearl.
I don't I don't know who you look at
this. I don't know who you look at this.
I know schmear that. Now let's get this
away from my nose.
Um
I know schmear that. Now I know I just
know Bryson.
I love this.
I couldn't prepare so well yesterday.
There's a lot of freebies. There's a lot
of names today.
You have to buy the only schmear lady.
So
again the matter is towards the body.
So this is like you know what I mean.
From schmear the matter is all kosher.
From
And on this let's let's just show it on
the screen for a second.
Schmear the matter.
Anything from
the schmear boy
from that downward slide
and towards the body towards all the
rings is all kosher.
The only schmear lady.
So
this is the only one also on the screen.
You see on the screen?
There's a green line.
Perfect.
And all of a sudden he made a left turn.
And he does the red somewhere else past
the dollar.
That according to the bottom is treif.
The only schmear the bottom schmear you
see you do.
Why? Because you basically says as long
as you do the right in the right place
which he did over here. You can see what
you should do here. There's a lot of
lines but you can see there's the
halfway point and there's the third
point. The the blue lines in this thing
are all thirds.
So he did 2/3.
Yeah? See these lines?
The green goes through the top
two lines, thirds, and then afterwards
it goes the last third is red.
But that
What?
No, that's only according to R' B' Yosi
b' Rebbi Yehuda in the Mishna. There's
no
in according to everybody else. That's
That's the sugia. And that's the sugia.
We're going to see that idea in the
Mishna. He says it in the Mishna. He
says and they argue on him on it. They
say there's no You got to do everything.
Sorry.
It goes in three steps. If you do
everything past the it goes in three
steps. If you do everything past the it
goes in three steps. If you do
everything past the it goes in three
steps. If you do everything past the it
goes in three steps.
If you do everything past the
it goes in three steps.
Let me just go back over here.
Here. You know what? We did a thing.
Perfect. This is perfect.
I see you forgot to take that out.
According to
if you do a little bit you do 2/3 in the
good area and 1/3 in the bad area
puzzle. Completely puzzle.
According to
if you did 2/3 in the good area and 1/3
in the bad area is kosher.
According to
this would be puzzle according to
everybody on top even according to
you though.
Why? Because he did it.
past the it goes in three steps.
You see the green the green the green
line going straight down? Where is it?
It's not in the
That's already in the
That's already in a different area.
Completely puzzle according to
So, basically there's three steps here.
You have the that says you have to have
the total total in the
You have
that says as long as you do 2/3 in the
1/3 in the in the wrong area is okay.
And then you have
that says everything in the wrong area
is okay. It's not the wrong area for me.
I say the Kaiva is also part of the
Shrita. It's all good.
Says the Gamara that Rabon Shimon bar
Yochai
says the Shrita of Rabon Shimon bar
Yochai is good.
Shrita
Rabon Shimon bar Yochai
is more make all than the Tana Kama.
Rabon Shimon bar Yochai is more make all
than Rabon Shimon bar Yochai. So what's
the big difference they tell me here?
Now the same Rabon Shimon bar Yochai
and Rabon Akiva Eiger.
Maybe Rabon Shimon bar Yochai
was only referring to the Tana Kama when
he said it's kosher. In other words, I
hold that if you didn't do the whole
thing in the Tabasac Dila it's kosher.
Not that you could go all the way to the
left into the Kaiva. Why? Because it
makes a lot more sense. He comes right
after Hachamin.
He's actually referring to Hachamin
L'Chaim.
So then he'd say the same as Rabon
Shimon. Exactly, yeah. Yeah. Okay, but
that we had already five times before
today. There's a lot of Shitas that are
saying the same things. I hear. It
bothered me a little also. Why is Rabon
Shimon doing Rabon Akiva Eiger? Because
he is actually going in the wrong Rabon
Akiva Eiger. Rabon Akiva Eiger. Maybe
maybe he is going under Rabon.
Imkain the Lema by the way.
So the Lashon should have been
different. Hey the Lacha on what we just
said.
Says the Gamara,
Rabon Shimon bar Yochai and Rabon Akiva
Eiger that are above the Tabasac Dila.
In other words, to the left of the
Tabasac Dila
is all good.
Yeah, the Kaiva we can say because in
fact Rabon Nachman holds like Rabon
Shimon bar Yochai. So we're going to go
like Rabon Nachman like Rabon Shimon bar
Yochai. Like Rabon Shimon bar Yochai.
Okay. So now we have a long Sugya here
that basically says a very
uh
simple thing that kind of repeats itself
a lot.
Omar Rabon Omar Rabon Shimon bar Yochai,
Machloikes Shochet Shnei Shlishi and
Eigrim Shlishi. If you did, let's just
do this here right over here. The
Machloikes is in this area that he did
two thirds in the Tabasac Dila but one
third was in the wrong wrong area.
Are we good?
The Rabon Akiva Eiger holds the Shrita
being in the Tabasac Dila. say no you
need 100%
in the
very
we have the
of the whole
over here and 2/3 is enough.
Take
a look at this.
You could see that he's going the
opposite direction. He started from the
bottom the red area.
He started out with the red. He started
out in the wrong place but then he
finished up with 2/3 in the right place.
So as we're going to see there's there's
an importance according to some men to
women
where does that where does the animals
in the leave?
Maybe the is that he he dies
I forgot what they call it the
the
leaves in the right area.
He did 1/3 in the bad area. He didn't
he's not going to die from that. Then he
then he goes and he makes a right turn
and he starts shifting in the right
area.
At a certain point he dies. No say died
in a good in a good area. What's the
problem?
Or no? You got to the whole part the
whole the whole thing has to be
in the right area.
I have to
finish.
I think there should be like more arrows
on this thing cuz I think I see I see
you guys a little confused. You see the
arrow on top of the green? That's the
direction of the should be more arrows
maybe on the bottom of the red also
showing he started from the bottom
in the wrong area. Red red red red then
he went then he continued the going
green.
I don't know if you could do that. No.
He did it from the bottom. Yeah, why
not? Cuz the animal's in the wrong
place. That is
it has to be started from the top and he
just did it in the wrong area at the
top. No, [clears throat] could do it.
You could do it.
Yeah, you could pull it. You could pull
to the side.
Says the Gemara.
You're saying You're saying that he
started from the cave on the top? I went
down that way. That way and then went
into the right here.
Right here.
Make more sense that way.
Okay.
We can do that also.
And then it would it would actually be
easier to understand the thing. He
started by the cave and did 1/3 and then
went down into the right here.
Okay.
>> [clears throat]
[snorts]
>> You flipped it? No, you just move it
over. You just move it over.
Let's see.
No, no, you can't do it.
There's
no possible way
when the life of this animal came out
being in
the right area. He didn't have a right
way. He did 1/3 and then it died. 1/3
The first third was in a bad place. The
second third when he died was in a good
place, but he only had 1/3 in a good
place.
Let's see that.
Maybe the
case is when he started bad and went
good. There
did I have a kind of problem. So, the
that tells us that if there's a little
tiny hole in the head
the animal is dead.
But if the corner is halfway cut
like this
this animal is not treif at all.
Not treif.
Now you go into that slit.
I guess.
You know what? Because it's like a
spring. It like it goes back. It goes
Maybe.
Wow.
Memories.
>> [snorts]
>> Yeah. So
Don't you think maybe I have rabies?
It's not that bad. If if that's what
rabies is, not that bad. It's just such
a good
>> [laughter]
>> So
I was always nice to begin with. It's
very
Wow. Remind me it's not doing well
time-wise. How much time are we? I'm 45
minutes.
I'm just going to use this even though
it's going to smell a little bit.
Ma?
Is it going to the guy I have to use it
for the Hebrew though?
Yeah, give me this knife. Let's do it.
Why not?
We're going to
if the animal Wow, it's not so It's not
sharp.
>> [laughter]
>> This would be kosher by sight. Why? Cuz
it's halfway done. Okay, but it's a
little bit more than half.
So I guess to to start it off is the
problem. Once it goes, the mama slices
through.
So if that was like Oh. So now listen to
this. Mordec
What's Mordec? Because now all you need
to do is come in there with a knife and
cut a little bit more.
So, let's say let's just say here here.
Let's do it again for the for the thing.
Let's say you found an animal like this
and you can go in and you go boom, a
little bit more.
You're going to say it's why? Because
you killed it.
Beforehand, he was he was in a tray and
now you just went like this and you you
killed the animal. So, your your your
amount made it
Yeah.
So, the Gamara
>> [clears throat]
>> Um I have no idea where I am.
What's
the connection? Over there, you went and
you you cut more of that corner like I
just showed you that's in the place of
so it's great. But
over here you're using it's like cutting
his brain a little bit and then cutting
a little of his corner and say, "Oh,
look he died together with me puncturing
his brain."
It's no connection. One one is a head
grandma in a place that's not good for
and then I continued into a place of how
could I connect the two?
But
what if you the opposite? You did a
great two thirds and then you went and
you you went off you you veered to the
left and you went into the into the area
that you shouldn't.
Why is the shera? It makes a lot of
sense cuz you did two thirds of a good
that's what I was saying before. What's
the problem?
If you shut it most of the of the semen
and then you went away it's as if you
shut the entire thing.
Maybe
it's only going according to
who in the mission says I can go with a
right.
Maybe argued and it's only
that says okay.
I understand. So, every time in the
Torah that every time in the Gamara in
Shas, when we talk about Rebbe, it only
goes according to Rebbe Yehuda. Amar
lei, "I know Rebbe Shimon Amino."
No, in Hilchos Shchita, the Shammai
would be playing because we see there
are both an argument really see Rebbe
Yehuda in the Mishna. So, maybe anytime
that it mentions a Rebbe and that it's
okay, it's going according to Shitas
Rebbe Shimon Rebbe Yehuda, but Hakham
argue.
Listen to this. Now we have a real
freebie. It's just going to reverse the
the the names.
Amar lei, let's see how long this
freebie is. Amar lei, Amar Amar Rebbe
I'm going to say, "You don't bring me
right from there." What kind of the the
the what I just did live, that's the
whole thing was in the corner. But
before you want to go outside of the
Makom Shchita and come back in, that's
different.
But if you did a good Shchita
and then you went out, it's according to
everybody it's kosher. That now Rebbe
Shimon Kamayu, cuz we learned that if
you walk away in middle after you did a
Rebbe, it's okay. Mar Zutra Rebbe
Chisda, so it's Rebbe Chisda over here.
Now it just switches around on Chisda.
Ma name Ma?
Which one?
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Thank you, yeah. I
almost forgot this.
Check this out. Uh
did we do this?
No.
No, no. No, no, it's not the slide.
Which one?
Which one slide do you want to see?
>> [clears throat]
>> No, I don't have I don't have slides.
Uh you put in number 36 after you run
away in middle?
Cool.
Okay.
Um
Mar Shimon Rebbe Chisda, Amar lei Amar
lei Rebbe Yehuda Amar lei Rebbe Yehuda,
maybe only one Shita. How do you know
it's cool Alma? Maybe it's only Rebbe
Yehuda that holds right. So, Rebbe Rebbe
Yehuda maybe it's only him. Amar lei
Rebbe Yehuda Rebbe Yehuda Amar lei Amar
lei Rebbe Yehuda Amar lei what? Every
single Rebbe in the world is Rebbe
Yehuda. Amar lei, I know Rebbe Shimon
Amino. Amar lei, I'm talking in Hilchos
Shchita. The Shammai would be playing.
because we see the mission that they
argue. Okay, new so yeah, so that was
nice. That was like seven lines.
Here it says it says it says
Here it says it says oh
This is that the slide.
Oh, so very did it well like you.
Because there's one extra arrow at the
bottom.
No, he started from the top in the wrong
spot.
Comes back, makes a right turn, goes
into the right direction.
And and then he goes out again.
I don't know
I don't know I don't know. He says in
the name of and this is important to
remember. He says in the name of this
question. I don't know I don't know.
I don't know I don't know I don't know I
don't know. I don't know I don't know I
don't know. Where did the guy die?
In the good spot. He did one third no
good, one third good. So in the third
that's good on the right, that's when
the animal died and that's good.
I don't know I don't know I don't know.
That's not good. Why? Because I need
it's not enough that he dies there. I
need the right
of the
in a good place. It's not it's not
important where he dies. It's important
that you have a right in the right
place.
I don't know I don't know I don't know.
So now the reverse take a look. So now
the reverse take a look.
Like this. He he started off in the
right spot in the
goes off to the wrong spot. Then comes
back in the right spot.
I I'll say thank you to
for really for really for sending some
people to the to watch the to see this
the charts.
I don't know if I'll have time to
Okay.
Can I give you a hug?
No, he told me once that 100% that he
got people because of the sheer that
because of what we push. We push the
different advertisements and stuff. So
obviously people are going to eventually
end up by him and
they'll say, "Okay, I don't like this
type of shur. I'll go to him." So,
anyway.
So, now he's paying back. Payback.
That's right.
They ask Rav Huna and he says it's
treif. Why? Because the neshama went out
in the wrong spot. You look over here in
this Let's Can we see it?
I I didn't make sure that
Before it was showing it on the screen.
Okay. Over here, he started good, went
no good, ended up good. Where did the
animal die, Rebbi Yishmael, in this in
this case?
In the no good.
In the middle. In the no good.
What?
It doesn't go by the It doesn't go by
the neshama.
It doesn't matter. We don't care about
the neshama. What are you You're You're
You're looking at the malach hamoves.
You did a shchita. You did a shchita
that's roiv kosher. I don't care where
he dies.
Shmuel bar Yehuda ikpad. Rav Yehuda
heard this and he's very upset. Amar,
"Tarifna umachsher. By the by
by this case
Yeah. Let's just How come it doesn't
move?
Wow.
Okay. I don't know what's going on here.
Let me go over here. Maybe this one is
better.
This mic's not working.
Oh.
Okay.
He says, "In this case
where you start off bad, you went to a
good shchita, and you went back
Tarifna, I say it's treif. And over
there you say it's kosher.
And now
in this one
the the reverse one where I say
it's kosher, you're saying it's treif.
What's going on here?"
U'makhsher na tarif.
And you say it's kosher when I say it's
treif.
Amar Rav Huna, "Shapi kamikpad." So, Rav
says he's right for being upset at me.
>> [snorts]
>> He heard it from Rav. He's saying it
from Rav. I made it up myself. I use my
own logic.
This case that you see on the screen,
Rav was in a good spot. You see there's
a lot of green, very little red.
So it should be good.
Then came master this law like I might
saw.
By the hegrim shaka the hegrim, oh man
what no all one second.
What?
By this case
when you went in the wrong in the wrong
if you if you're going to say that he
has to take everything back, so he's
going to have to take this back also.
Where did the animal die when he was in
the right spot into the day law?
So how can I make an after kiss by
grandma going after kiss so too?
In other words, he's saying I agree with
your logic.
Not this one, but this one where the
animal die and that's what I was saying.
He's dying in the wrong spot and should
be bad.
Oh, let's do the
sponsors.
Turning the dub a dub global specialist
international financial service
for the little
show.
>> [snorts]
[laughter]
>> We'll get there. We'll get there one day
when I when we when we use it in sheer
I'll tell them the crazy story.
But then
says the tomorrow I got to buy many
things for the mall.
So they asked him, what happens if he
did
this?
No?
Let me just make sure. Shaw actually,
yeah. Good shita, bad good mouth. I'm
going to love I don't know but I mean
you mean
isn't that exactly
shita I see you can master shita. If you
do a shita looks like a W.
It looks like a
a comb, kosher. There's a lot of there's
the famous joke I'll just say there's a
shiva bakker.
Change it from a timon to a shiva bakker
whatever but they he goes he says
I need to buy a new comb. He says why do
I need to buy a new comb? He says cuz
one of the teeth broke. It's not so big
deal so it's just use the rest of the
comb. He says no it's the last tooth
that broke.
Yeah.
I only had one.
He's using
He's using the comb with a It's one
tooth broke so now it's gone. Okay.
What's so funny? Yeah.
It's absolutely hilarious.
Oh my
god.
Shita I see you can master shita. So if
it looks like we should No you you
should have done it but I was sick I
forgot to tell you.
If it looks like a zigzag like this like
a W a few W's then it's a kosher shita.
So it says
where do you see from here that that
he's talking about that he went in and
out of the shita? How do you know that
he went from the
into a place that's no good and came
back? Maybe he's saying a
that you do a W
in the good spot of the shita that
itself is kosher. I would think that's
not kosher to go like this to shake like
this even
Imagine a regular shita today in the
corner it goes like this.
Why is that okay?
And what's the problem that the says
more than that it should be not okay
because you can't really see inside.
The shita shita
what's the that you can do a W in the
It is. But I'm saying you mean the shita
is smooth for us you need a clean cut so
you can look inside it the shita you pop
it open look inside. If it looks like a
W it looks like an accordion you can't
really look inside. Everything is
covering each other. You don't have a
can't open it up and look inside and see
there's a good chicken there. There's
also a question of Rashi that said you
have to be in the base. According to
this it doesn't make any sense. But
maybe Rashi is talking about only
according to that cheetah. Okay. Okay.
Right?
Who knows? Maybe it's within that within
that meat.
In between the two boys. I don't know.
Come on everyone.
Simeon Bakod. You also have a baba.
Let's try to get to the Mishnah. How
much time are we already? You have two.
I have two minutes. Less than two
minutes.
You also have a baba heard of Khan of
Yosel Khan of committee of Yuda. Yuda is
giving sheer. What? It's the video how
it happened. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I forgot to show [snorts] a video. Oh
yeah, yeah, yeah. The question is how
does a grama happen?
What what what happened? So here this is
more like a Pixar style video.
>> [groaning]
>> Ah, the grama. [laughter]
Got it. That's how it happened.
Now we can see.
>> [clears throat]
[snorts]
>> Mhm.
>> [laughter]
>> Very good.
>> [laughter]
>> That's what really important in
Gevoltig.
So what do you want tomorrow?
Let's make sure I didn't miss anything
else from all our beautiful slides.
I want to give a lot of thanks to the
bunch of them because in the middle of
the shear I felt like that was it. I had
to get up and go.
Take a break.
We're not done yet. So they made this
thing that I didn't have to use
that I didn't have to use this.
Wow.
We're done. We're done. If I do then
then we finish the shear right there.
So it's going to be like this.
Sorry. No. No.
I was I was trying to do something here.
So we have the same thing that we had a
couple days ago. We have giving shear.
Sitting in front of him. And behind
we have
a Rababa.
The other guy
asks
Rabbi Judah.
What
if it's this case? Let's see. Going back
to this case. Here. This case. The other
boys are putting it on the screen? No.
Oh.
What do you want
to say to say?
I was going to say something. What
if he did the next one? I can't believe
nothing's working here.
This one.
Bad. Good. Bad. What's the What's that
law?
It's too long.
Oh. I have no idea where we are.
And and who's Gamora?
What if there was already
uh
a cut in the corner? And he shocked it
in there. I'm a lush good as I can
share. It's okay.
So listen to this this is where you have
to use your head. What is the
difference? What would be the after me
know if
there was a hole an existing hole in the
trachea and you continue the hole with
the knife? Or if you shocked it normally
were in a place that there's no hole and
then you came to where there's a hole.
In other words, you only shocked it 50%.
And
Whether it's just a sham or not. But the
season sham happened after 50%.
Usually it season sham happens at 51%.
Over here all you shocked is 50%. You
didn't do it right. But together with
the negative you have a right and then
he dies.
That that's what would be possible.
Why is it possible? If I cut first
No, no. Here let let let's say let's say
let's say he
when he came there was a 10% cut. And
then he cut another 40% so totally have
I'm sorry another 50% he cut another
50%. So total is 60% is kosher. Now what
happens if he cut 50% and he gets to a
10% cut?
So the heart is 50% made a whole a full
sheet of cuz together with the cut that
was existing we have 60%.
That's different.
Yeah, why?
Why? Cuz his cut is brought over to the
sheet of 50.
Okay, but you did you season sham. You
you use this 10% before you also use
this 10%. You start the sheet that is
already 10% existing you all you did is
a 50%. So you did you didn't do a right
sheet of the 50% sheet and that's okay.
Cuz you're using the the existing 10%
total 60. Over here you're doing 50 and
then you bump into a 10%.
So we have to see if there's enough
coming.
Okay, so let's go let's see.
What's the I don't see enough amino.
There's a lot of that if a guy starts to
and a Jew finishes it off it's kosher.
Cuz all we care is about is what you're
able to do. You do your your end the guy
did his things it's kosher. So if
there's already a neck of and you just
continue there's a 10% neck of and you
do 50% so it's like the 10% the guy did
and that's kosher.
50% and he bumped into a neck of not to
give me a straw the guy my guy. That's
as if you did 50% and the final 10% the
guy did.
The guy did the
over here
nature did the
no good.
I don't like what you're saying it's
no good. Go home.
I'm over
go go.
When he only 50% and the guy did another
10% so who did the guy?
Over here
when he bumped into the to the 10% that
existed
he's doing the
what's the difference if he started off
with 10% already existing or you bumped
into 10%?
He he didn't he's the one that did the
he's the one that finished off the
have a wonderful
