correlates with addictions anxiety depression and problems in marriage and future relationships I did not believe that Kaz were wrong when they suggested the option a physical punishment but perhaps today we're nowhere near the madrea that is required for hitting which is why it should be avoided when RAV says if you're going to hit a child to only use a shoelace I was wondering why he specifically says a shoelace and not a string perhaps RAV had a message in the shoelace itself the very function of the shoelace is to provide security to attach the shoe to the foot without the shoelace the shoe would simply slip off similarly it takes a very high level to be able to discipline a child in a way that the child understands that the punishment is coming from a place of love that the parent is holding the child adding security and attachment and building them up rather than shaming humiliating teing them down like today perhaps previous generations were better able to
