He calls me, "I want you to come to the
hotel on the states in 2 weeks or
something. Uh, we're doing a bar mitzvah
for orphans." I went and there's a tent
and I see him holding a list and maybe
there is a few hundred kids on this
list. There's a few hundred names and
every name is a family. And he gives the
a bag and he opens the bag. There's a
paraphilene inside. There's a sedor
inside. There's a special gift inside.
And then he gives a a word of to the
family. And then we go a step further
and we start. Okay. Now we take them
from the kota plaza and we start walking
to the actual kota where we pray or we
don't just walk. We were dancing. We had
guitarists. We had music. And there's
maybe 10 or 12 tables with a sephorra on
each one. And we sit there and we start
putting on one and then the other. Their
day was planned. There's this is the
morning and then in the afternoon or
late afternoon they had a whole party
and they hundreds of kids with food with
drinks with music with everything. Just
what Kabad is is doing is they're saying
to them you're not alone. It's something
that is is amazing. There's no there's
no words to describe the work that these
guys are doing. This past spring, my
family and I had the opportunity to go
to Israel for my nephew's bar mitzvah.
During the bar mitzvah, we went to Kabad
as part of our hes mission on the trip.
Arrive by bus. We were about 50 people.
We show up to this facility and they
give us a beautiful speech about what
they do. And we go into this facility
and we start packing food for those in
need. from the 2-year-olds to the
80-year-olds, everybody was involved.
Everybody, you know, really enjoyed what
they were doing. And quite frankly, I
think we were there for like 2 hours and
nobody wanted to stop. We packed peas,
we packed corn, we packed wheat, we
packed barley. These families don't have
anything in their pantry. Since October
7th, it's so important to show our
brothers and sisters in Israel that us
here in America are here for them. This
is our way of giving back to them, to
them to feel that we're part of them.
>> People need these basics now more than
ever. And this war has been going on for
a long time and people are in need. And
this organization stepped up and and is
filling that filling that need. I was
there with my son Eddie and we got to
really share a bond doing hassa
together, packing the bags together,
packing the food together, putting the
labels on and each label gave us
opportunity to express our love. We got
to write little notes of encouragement
to them to get to see what Kal Kabad is
all about. It's really it's not just a
simple organization. It's a massive
organization. It was amazing to see
firsthand everything that they did. Kel
Habad. What an experience.
>> The next time you're in Israel, I highly
recommend you going to this facility.
See what it's about. You'll enjoy it.
Um, not only send money cuz they need
it. Roll up your sleeves and go help.
You will not be disappointed.
